Fantastic old building in a good location. Looks like a high end hotel. Reasonable parking costs in own car park with electric chargers. About £10 overnight to park. Breakfast had home made jam and a lot of other specialities.

Fantastic hotel really convenient and very Central. Very friendly staff. Great bar in a superb setting. Really feels at Market and luxurious. The bedrooms are a good size and shower. Hot and works fine. Highly recommended to start here. Here are some fabulous walks along the boat key and towards the harbour really worth going

This hotel is one of the kind,it sticks out. It is the oldest railway hotel in Sweden. I can really recommend you to visit/stay here. I KNOW,becouse I have,been working there in the kitchen. I love the atmosphere and wings of history.

4+ stars. I spent two days and one night in this hotel for a conference, and I really enjoyed it. As the oldest hotel in Scandinavia, the building is big, and the interior maintained its charm despite modernization. The overall is really pleasant, with a special mention to the beautiful bistro area. The room was really spacious and well decorated, with all the necessary amenities. The food was good, And some dishes were really delicious. I particularly like the breakfast, together with the friendly and relaxed service.

Maybe we are just spoiled Danes, accustomed to stays at places like the 5-star Hotel Marienlyst in Helsingør and the fantastic 4-star Elite Hotel Savoy in Malmö. Compared to these, we apparently expected too much from the 4-star Continental Du Sud in Ystad. We booked an upgraded manor room. Yes, it was clean and "nice" :) But there was no real feeling of luxury :( No minibar, no water in the room, few bath products, no bathrobes or slippers, and the TV couldn't be adjusted to be viewed from the bed :( The bedside lamps were unintelligent, with tiny shelves where your phone, a glass of water, etc., would fall to the floor if you reached for something during the night. The worst part was the hotel's breakfast arrangement. We heard people talking about only being able to get a breakfast slot at 07.00 :) And it says on your breakfast booking ticket that if you snooze (oversleep), you lose (your right to breakfast). Come on, why should you have to get up at 06.00 on your vacation to get the breakfast you've already paid for :( That’s just ridiculous! We paid an extra 100 SEK to have it served in the room, so we could "afford" to sleep until 08.30 - Continental Du Sud, you can do better!!!||We had a 3-course meal in the hotel's restaurant one evening and yes, there were side plates, but we were not served any bread to go with the meal, so what are we supposed to do with them??? We were promised coffee after the meal, but it was forgotten - We are not impressed and did not feel "at home".||Continental Du Sud, you have room for improvement!

No A/C, windows open to the road crossing and railroad line, therefore extemely loud and hot. Booked this hotel for the first time(room 213, double de luxe for 2290SEK) Found an empty, obviously used by former guests water bottle on the table. Room is decent, but unbelievably hot in summer with no option to gain cool/fresh air. Also two seperate beds put together instead of a single queen size.

From the very first step in this hotel you can feel the spirit of history. Marble stairs, carvings on the ceiling and stained glass windows shows that the Hotel have a really caring host. But the care is not only in the atmosphere, friendly and helpful staff will let you to enjoin your stay carefree. While staying in this hotel there is no need to search for restaurant as they have not only absolutely perfect breakfast but also offers incredibly delicious lunch and dinner in cozy and splendid restaurant. The regular room was spacious and well decorated, all that is need for the nice stay. Also the location is perfect, near train station and the art museum. Will choose this hotel for other trips to Ystad!
