Continental Parkhotel Lugano

Staff was very kind and professional. Our room was very clean and got cleaned every day. Breakfast was great, many things to choose from and also with a view! Bar happy hour is great 17:00-18:00 we recommend to get the aperol spritz, because it’s special. The restaurant had some good food as well,a bit pricey but worth it. Behind the hotel where the restaurant is there is also a shared Swimmingpool with an amazing view of the “mountains of Lugano” Also the train station was near the hotel which was very convenient.

Excellent local hotel, classic but well preserved and extremely clean and comfortable. Beautiful gardens, with parking and view. Friendly staff and great location. Great value for money!!

Renovated historic hotel close to train statzwith a beautiful garden and outdoor pool. Staff was extremely friendly and attentive to details throughout our stay (including reception, breakfast, room cleaning)

Nice standard room, best place for the short trip or one night lay over. You can walk to and from the railway station with in minutes. Rooms are comfortable and staff was super nice and welcoming. Only problem is the railways noise in the night so if you need noise less environment it may not be the place for you.

I am sure this hotel was once lovely, however its position is now blighted by the train station which is literally by its front door, the noise is very intrusive and the whole hotel felt it was past it's prime. We were in the main hotel but the rooms were poky, hardly room to move, no-where to put your suitcases, a view of a brick wall, ripped curtains, no toiletries to speak of and no water provided or any facilities at all, you could not make a coffee and there were not even cups to put your own water in. The towels were tiny, thin as paper and scratchy, probably the worst towels in a hotel I have ever come across! The food in the restaurant was good, breakfasts had ample choice for everyone. Staff very friendly, which was it's only saving grace, but there are better places to stay- we would not recommend.

Excellent hotel in a nice location in Lugano. We chose a Superior Deluxe room on the 3rd floor and it was very nice with lake views and comfortable bed. Wifi worked well and we were very pleased with the room. Good breakfast and a very nice restaurant on site. Cocktail bar served excellent cocktails and the bar tender was superb with some excellent recommendations. Happy Hour was good. We were aware there may be train noise but that was fine with the windows closed. Reception and all staff were very friendly. Overall a very nice experience.

I spent two nights here 21st to 23rd of April. I booked a single room which is a real treat as not many hotels have these. This enables solo travellers like me (on this occasion) to get better value for money. Room 63 was small but perfect. It was very clean, the bed was very comfortable and I had a lovely view over the park/garden - see photo. ||The breakfast is pretty comprehensive and the service is polite and swift. Happy Hour in the bar was very good and I also had the unexpected pleasure of being able to listen to a recital on the second night. This was by Galina Vracheva (piano) and Anna Schweinberger (violin) and was complimentary. In the company of other guests, I listened to some amazing playing. What a treat! ||I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel!

Location is superb. You are as close as you can get of the train station and with the free pass that Switzerland provides, moving is really easy and comfortable. Getting downtown is a breeze as well, as there is a funicular all day long (every 15 mins or so) to and from downtown. The staff is very friendly. Hotel is as clean as one can get. Really impressive. Great service, food and drink options by the pool. On the other hand, it’s Switzerland. Crossing the border from Italy just doubles the prices of food and beverages. It is ehat it is. It’s not the hotel, it’s everywhere. The hotel was a very welcoming surprise. Would no hesitate to stay there again if in the region
