Spacious and great spot for traditional dim sum! The dishes come around on carts, which adds to the classic experience. Portions are quite generous, and everything we tried was flavorful and authentic. A solid choice if you're craving traditional Chinese-style dim sum in Richmond.

Google
Pretty good brunch option to go Dim Sum in Richmond. Although parking spots have 1H or 2H slots for free, parking sometimes may take a while. Food taste is pretty good for an average dim sum experience with price points acceptable moving the rating to 4. Service cart moves around all the time so you will constantly get more food should you choose to order more. For an Asian establishment, the service you expect is standard and a solid 4. The atmosphere was good and lively in the dining area, but washrooms could be better maintained. All in all, 4 stars is the rating I would give and recommend for others to bring more people to improve the experience.

We had such a fantastic dining experience at Continental Seafood Restaurant! We ate so much and absolutely loved every dish. The dim sum was fresh and delicious, and the carts were always nearby, making it easy to try everything we wanted. These shrimp balls are as big as my fist and def our fave! Service was flawless, super attentive and friendly. You can really tell that customer service is a top priority here. The pricing is also very reasonable for the quality and variety of food you get. The restaurant is spacious, which makes it perfect for larger groups, and there’s plenty of room for the dim sum carts to move around smoothly. Highly recommend this place for anyone craving great dim sum in a comfortable, welcoming setting!

Google
The dim sum here is fantastic (have not had dinner here yet, though). The staff are friendly and... most importantly... they have push carts here! At least until 2pm (Monday to Friday); after which, you can still order from their menu. Many dim sum places have done away with the carts to make way for more tables, so I am grateful this restaurant still uses them :)

Google
I attended here for sake testing. Was welcomed by warm people when I walked in the door. All the staff and the sake of the porers were very friendly. Great service. I did not have a meal here, but i did enjoy the sample foods that were provided to pair with the sake.

Unfortunately, I had a disappointing experience with the BBQ pork, which was overly sweet and contained lean meat. The liberal use of honey detracted from the dish. Additionally, the service was slow, taking at least 15 minutes to serve us tea after multiple requests. This was particularly frustrating, given the five dim sum dishes already on our table. The waiter seemed preoccupied and neglected to provide attentive service. We were not the only table seeking assistance. The waiter, dressed in a grey suit, appeared impatient while taking our order and had difficulty recalling our requests, including chili sauce, tea, and a BBQ meat platter. His demeanor lacked the warmth and friendliness exhibited by the dim sum ladies. It appeared that the staff's work ethic improved when their supervisor was present.

Google
Amazing food. Tasty , hot and large portion. Try their tofu dessert, smooth. Highly recommended for anyone who are looking for good dim sum place. Oh easy parking as well. Was going to take pictures of each dishes but it was so tasty that we totally forgot to do so after the first dim sum arrived.

Google
Yeah, this place is basically where you get pre-made food. Reviews claiming there’s no wait are absolute BS. I’ve dined here more than five times, and every time I’ve had to wait at least 15+ minutes. Just look around. I get that, with the number of customers, noise is inevitable, but still, this place is a mess. To conclude: come here if you want pre-made food after waiting 15+ minutes, only to be served with below-average service. Oh yeah, personally, there’s no way I’m drinking this tea with that weird little black string in there? No thanks. Photo attached. Just to be clear, the food doesn’t taste bad, it’s just not worth it. Honestly, just thinking about how they manage to serve this many people makes it obvious: they’re not actually making the food fresh for you. There definitely is positive things about this restaurant which I’m too lazy to find out. All of my comments are started from my personal perspective, experience. Experiences may vary.

Yelp
Old school dim sum establishment with carts in the heart of Richmond. It is located in a strip mall so plenty of free parking, which is always a plus. The room is large with high ceilings and plenty of natural light with the large windows across one side of the establishment. We came just after 11 am on a weekday and there was no line up. We ordered several dishes...and most were quite good. I was not a fan of the schezwan green beans or the salt and pepper squid. I found the beans were a little undercooked and soggy (not crispy) and the squid was overly breaded. I did enjoy seeing the carts coming around and the service was pretty good. It was a positive food experience and happy to recommend Continental Seafood Restaurant for dim sum.

Yelp
Dim Sum in Richmond is an absolute MUST whenever we head up to Vancouver, and Continental was a great choice! We were looking in particular for a place that still does cart style, and Continental came recommended. We did not have reservations on a Saturday around ~10:30-45 AM, but were able to get seated at a table for 2 right away. We were, however, seated in possibly the worst location (literally the very last table at the corner by the projector screen, on the way to the men's bathroom), but this didn't turn out to be an issue at all. We were concerned the carts would skip over us, but the cart ladies were diligent about their coverage, and other staff came by frequently to refill tea/water, condiments, etc. They have a cart dedicated JUST to radish/turnip cakes and pan-fried shrimp/chive dumplings, so you know those are a must get. Both were delicious, and I have to say the radish/turnip cakes were the most flavorful here that I've ever had. Carts came by often, selection was vast, and we'd be happy to come back here!

Yelp
It is your standard dim sum place. The dishes came out quick and freshly cooked. Plenty of parking when it's not peak time . The service was great ( as we went around 4pm ) - the restaurant ambiance was again, standard. I've had better dim sum but I've got no negatives about this place.

Josephine M.

Yelp
I didn't think there was any more than one restaurant left in Vancouver where you could see people pushing dim sum on carts but I stand corrected. Continental Seafood Restaurant in Richmond is the second restaurant we've been to now where you can get dim sum from one of those carts. This one was much better than the one we went to last year. Quality of the food was better and the service was much better too. This is definitely going down on my list of favourite dim sum restaurants within Greater Vancouver! Service: Good Parking: Free Location: 11700 Cambie Rd., Richmond, BC

Yelp
First-able, this is probably the most Clorox bathroom I have ever entered. I am sure all the germs have died many times here. I have heard the dim sum at Richmond is the best and that might have boosted my expectations. This is below average for me. I would say Las Vegas is amazing as well comparing to this. The scallop dumping is huge except the scallop might be fishy. The mushroom beef rice noodle are too interesting. Not our favorite The deep fried bbq pork is on the dry side. Nothing scream coming back for us.

Joanne L.

Yelp
I have to leave a feedback so I will remember where to get the best BBQ pork和馬拉糕 in the future .

Yelp
Yet ANOTHER place to get great Chinese food in Richmond, BC... THE ROSES: Ample parking in an otherwise nondescript strip mall. Huge dining space, often subdivided for private events. Excellent food. I really appreciate that this restaurant serves dim sum all the time. The upside of having dim sum outside of normal dim sum hours is that your choices are cooked to order and come out piping hot. You also don't have the pushy 'dim sum cart ladies' interrupting you every few minutes and trying to push on you more food (I know for many this is a much loved part of the 'dim sum' experience, but I personally find it distracting and more than a little annoying). Good service and reasonable prices. THE THORNS: Older space that has had a LOT of use and it shows; the dining room and restrooms, while reasonably clean, are rather run-down. When they have events, the music tends to be very loud. THE VERDICT: Great place for dim sum or the traditional Chinese menu. Recommend.

Jessica Z.

Yelp
This restaurant unfortunately deserves a 0-star rating. When I was billed, I was given inconsistent pricing. As crazy as this may sound, they had two menus- one with local pricing and another with elevated prices for foreigners. I recommend exploring alternative dim sum restaurants in Richmond. Don't come here because you'll most definitely be scammed. Beware!

B L.

Yelp
Good food-dim-sum. Far Eastern Richmond on Cambie Road Huge restaurent. Good service. All Servers bilingual and helpful. Prices rising these days.

Susan B.

Yelp
This a fun place for dim sum. Friendly and helpful staff amid all the ciaos of a busy restaurant. Good dim sum and we usually don't need a reservation as the restaurant is so big.

Kishi M.

Yelp
Definitely a GREAT place for Dim-Sum ANY TIME of the day.. Walked in shortly after 5PM on a weekend and the place was largely empty.. Ordered: Shanghai Soup Dumplings, Bean Curd Roll, Shrimp and Pork Dumplings and Coconut Pudding.. It took a while for the food to come. The staff was too busy chatting it up until the owner / manager came in and they picked up the pace.. Took several tries to get Chili Oil, Soy Sauce and extra napkins so the service could use a bit of improvement... Great location and ambience.. mos def coming back for seconds...

Yelp
I was visiting Vancouver and heard great things about their Chinese food. There were many recommendations for Dynasty and Chef Tony, but I was not going to overpay for fancy, mid dim sum that I can easily get at a more affordable authentic spot. So, I found Continental in Richmond and came on a weekday for brunch- it was packed. What I love about dim sum restaurants is that there is almost always a table open regardless of how busy it may look. Continental has a very spacious open floor plan with the serving carts that go around. My group was hungry so we got a lot of dishes. All of the dishes we got were a hit, and I especially enjoyed the siu mai, beef cheung fun, char siu bao, and lo bak go (iykyk). Everything was delicious, and the ladies come around frequently so you don't have to worry about waiting around for food.

Yelp
Good for dim sum! Parking is hard! Service is ok! Food is good. Portions are large! Everything is average! Clay pot rice was good portions but no creasy so not authentic clay pot! Overall not impressed!

Viviann L.

Yelp
One of my favourite dim sum to goo especially on the weekend. Not too busy on weekdays and especially during early afternoon it's basically empty, but they are one of the very few Chinese dim sum place that's open as most take a break and reopens at 5pm. They don't take break and have big parking lot right outside. They have dance floor and other event at times as well. They have the traditional dim sum carts when it's busy but their dim sum is all day everyday. Most times they don't have the tofu dessert which is sad because they do make pretty good ones. Out of the 4 times I've been, they only had it once. They don't have as many big dishes as other Chinese restaurant but they do offer some and they are all delicious. Good and friendly staff but don't slam your dishes. Had an acquaintance that rented out the whole place for her wedding dinner.

Janet M.

Yelp
Came here as a group of 8 at 10 AM. I think this place is the only dimsum place that still do the OG cart. The nice aunties pushed around the cart containing food and they will ask you if you want something. If you do not know what certain food is, they can just show you and explain to you. They do have the dimsum classic, but do lack of "newer" stuff like my favourite, jaleung (Chinese doughnut wrapped in rice roll). I would say food here is so so, but the atmosphere is pretty authentic like in Asia. One example where they can improve, the charsiu could have more protein inside,

Yelp
It's been ages since I last went to a dimsum restaurant with push cart service since there aren't very many left in Vancouver! I forgot how hectic and chaotic it can be, getting bombarded with multiple food options the moment you're seated, trying to find the cart with the food you want, flagging down the push cart aunties for the dishes and having the stamp card ready when you get your food! Unfortunately we missed the congee cart and the rice rolls cart so I didn't get to try those dishes. The table turnover was fast for dimsum standards considering how we were in and out of the restaurant within an hour, but I highly recommend making a reservation if you have a large group eating at noon! Overall it was a decent dimsum experience, and suitable for large and hungry parties since you won't need to wait for the food to be prepared upon order. Everyone gets to choose the dimsum they want to try just by staring and pointing at the cart. - Hits: * ha gao (shrimp dumpling) * deep fried shrimp paste crab claw * lo mai gai (sticky rice wrap) * daan tat (egg tart) Misses: * siu mai - the texture was too tough, not bouncy and chewy * deep fried taro pastry - i think they over fried it? * lo bak go (stir fry radish cake) - it was probably sitting on the cart for a while, wasn't piping hot and fresh :(

Allison K.

Yelp
Even on a Monday this place was packed! I love that there is cart service at this restaurant. A lot of places no longer offer this type service. The restaurant itself is a large place. It's not super-fancy but I can see why this place is chosen a lot for weddings. The parking is a headache. Be prepared to circle the lot a few times before finding a spot or opt for street parking.

Eric R.

Yelp
Solid must try if you like DimSum, not the fanciest decor and get there early or make a reservation so you are not waiting. The food is always good, an every trip experience (tradition) for me and my family when we make to it up Richmond during holiday weekends.

Tony J.

Yelp
Cantonese restaurant at Cambie Plaza at Cambie and No. 5. It's a big restaurant. They have a large screen and stage area on one end for parties and whatnot. Went there for dimsum on a weekday and there was a decent crowd, considering that it was after a heavy bout of snow. This is one of the few restaurants in the area that still serves dimsum with the traditional push carts (vs using ordering sheets). Got a variety of usual items. They taste fine and the presentation is more traditional vs some of the newer, more modern restaurants in Richmond. On that day the push carts didn't have much sweet items other than egg tart, but you can order them from the kitchen. Price was $90 for 3 people, which is less expensive than the nicer restaurants, but not by much. We also tried dinner takeout from this place. We got the crispy duck (prepped two ways, crispy skin wrap + lettuce wrap), garlic chicken, egg and shrimp stir fry, and mushroom/pepper beef for $140. Everything tasted decent, and portions for the other dishes were good. The takeout was packaged well, and served as an enjoyable at-home holiday dinner.

Yelp
This is one of the few places with a classic dim sum push cart left. The servers push the carts around, show you what they have and you get to pick the ones you want. The service was super friendly and very helpful. When I asked for the custard bun since I didn't see it on any of the carts, the servers told me they could put in a special order for me! They served Dou Hua / tofu dessert straight from an ancient looking wooden tub. Very unique! Parking is a bit tough due to the restrictions of the plaza itself. But there is tons of parking so it's not really a problem! Another bonus is that they have free WiFi ! Password is located near their front desk!

Yelp
Visited in July 2023 this year. Of all the Vanc Dim Dum places, this one held up the best in my opinion post Covid. Prices wise, kind of expensive just like the rest in Vancouver. Food quality, was better pre Covid, but understandable given the poor participation amongst the younger population of workers nowadays...What made this place better than others? The Dim Sum cart ladies are warm/friendly, very old schooled and appreciated.

Anito P.

Yelp
I love this place! My favourite dim sum restaurant in Richmond. They have the old school serving carts and the ladies serving them are very nice and attentive. Come with an appetite. Leave in a food coma.

Roger P.

Yelp
Continental Seafood was recommended as the best dim sum in Vancouver and with such a huge Asian population, you would expect the food to be delicious and your experience to be authentic. We arrived Friday for lunch and the place was pretty poppin, for a Friday at least. I wonder how crazy the wait is over the weekend. One of the worst things about dim sum is that sometimes you don't get good cart traffic and then you end up sharing small plates between large groups...it's just not that satisfying. Luckily, as soon as we were seated, the carts started swarming and we were able to get a lot of different things. Anything that you don't see, you can request from a server and they'll bring it over to you. Everything was pretty good but nothing stood out. And it was pretty expensive for dim sum. Each of us paid a little over $20. Once you're ready to pay, you bring your stamp sheet to the front and they'll close you out. Overall, not bad...but as a visitor from SoCal (where we have dim sum too), I didn't think it was any different and could've spent the meal trying something more unique to Vancouver.

Marie D.

Yelp
I was a little worried we would have to wait long when they asked if we had reservations but they basically walked us to the table quickly since we were going in right when rush hour was starting. One of the last cart service dim sum options available (weekdays too). If you can be patient , the good selections come later. Honestly, nothing disappointed in terms of food. But be careful with the bill. We didn't realize they charged us for tea even though we specifically asked for no tea. Huge place, watch the parking signs because they were marked for 15, 30, 60 minute limits and you can literally see the tow truck there. Loud as always but that's part of dim sum.

Charlie Z.

Yelp
Food was delicious but our last order took a while to arrive until we reminded the waitress.

Lena B.

Yelp
Loved the Dim Sum, and especially pea vine and steamed baos. Great service. Can't wait to go back!

Amanda C.

Yelp
Very yummy love the dim sum and good deals for banquet style dinner. For dim sum, depends where you sit- close to kitchen = warmer food and can take a while to reach other end! Staff is very nice.

Jack W.

Yelp
=== 1. VERDICT/VALUE With many years of dim sum, dinner, and wedding experience at Continental, I can confidently say that Continental is the quiet dark horse of a good Chinese food in Richmond. It's not glamorous, but good-tasting dishes and decent service make Continental a destination to consider! === 2. FOOD Continental is one the dying breed, offering cart-based dim sum from the days of old - a chance to see your food choices ahead of time, and be upsold various dishes that pass by your table from restaurant staff that seem like they are on commission :) Dim sum was on tap today and as usual - they did not disappoint! - Baked BBQ Pork Buns ($4.95) - Spring Rolls ($6.75) - Shrimp Dumplings ($6.75) - Sui Mai ($6.75) - Bean Curd Rolls ($6.75) - Rice Rolls, Beef ($7.50) - Tofu Fa / Pudding ($8.25) - Pea Tip Shoots ($12.80) Some prices to keep in mind: - Tea: $1.35 per person - Dim sum (small): $4.95 - Dim sum (medium): $6.75 - Dim sum (large): $7.50 === 3. SERVICE Service seems to work well in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin. Some of the newer, younger staff can show some of the "colder" feeling typical of service found in Chinese efficiency. However, most of the staff are nice and decent, if not quick and transactional. Dim sum service is quick with carts rolling constantly and quickly. === 4. ENVIRONMENT Remodeling has improved the colours and lighting somewhat - some of the tacky aspects are gone, and TVs adorns the walls, including a massive screen where the stage used to be. Tables are very far apart (10' from each person at least?), which coupled with the good ventilation could make this place a great option during the COVID pandemic. Wheelchairs and baby strollers have no issues with fit in the restaurant. Parking is as plentiful as it gets in the busy shopping complex lot.

James K.

Yelp
Awesome OG dim sum place where they still have the push carts. It's not stuffy nor her pricey like the newer HK/mainland style dim sum houses. We got the standard stuff and I found it to be pretty decent. The cheung fun was one of the better versions I've had in Richmond. Ha Gow were decent, not awesome. Beef ball was good. Fried taro wu gok was also good. Kids enjoyed the cha siu bao. Best part was we brought home enough leftovers for grandpa to have a couple of lunches and the bills came out to only $95 incl tax for 5 people! It would have been double that at some other places.

Yolanda A.

Yelp
We come from Bellingham to eat here. Service Is great and food is delicious! Even though there was a line of people, it goes fast!

C.K. L.

Yelp
People come to this restaurant for the push cart dim sum. I come here for their delicious food. Personally I prefer the order sheet that I can order right away and no need to wait for the cart and see what dim sum in it. Their dim sum is the traditional taste. Parking is an issue.

Dianna H.

Yelp
My first dimsum in months since Covid started, and I'm glad we chose Continental Seafood for the occasion. My party of 4 dined here on a Sunday. My friend had called a couple days ahead to make a reservation, but I guess the protocol is that everyone still needs to get in line and wait even if you have a reservation? That's what we were told when we inquired. We were a bit confused, since that defeats the whole point of making the reservation, but oh well, that's Chinese restaurants for you. Luckily there weren't a ton of people in line and the wait wasn't too bad, maybe 10-15 minutes. When you're getting seated, everyone in your party undergoes a quick temperature check before being led to your table. Many tables have been removed to follow social distancing guidelines, so the restaurant doesn't feel cramped like many Chinese restaurants do. I appreciated that there was plenty of space between the tables. My friend told me this is one of the few dimsum spots that still does carts. It was a lot of fun ordering things off the carts, but this also meant waiting forever for some items that don't come around very often or take a while to prepare. We probably waited at least 30 min for the tofu pudding cart to come out near the end of our meal. Foodwise, everything was good. We ordered all the standard dimsum items and didn't have any complaints. I was impressed at the size of their lo mai gai (chicken in sticky rice) as it's usually smaller for dimsum. They also had some vegetarian options for one member of our party who was vegetarian. Price wasn't bad either. The 4 of us ordered a ton of food and had a lot of leftovers, and the total was only $108 before tip!

Brent A.

Yelp
The best dim sum in Richmond hands down. Highly recommend the Tsui Mai, Hai Gao, Beef Balls, Pork Pastry, meat filled rice noodles and honey garlic spare ribs. Make sure to ask for chilli oil as well as sweet soy sauce. Be sure to get there when it opens on the weekends or you will be waiting for a table.

Mark N.

Yelp
We just had Dim Sum here at this new restaurant called Continental Seafood Restaurant located in Richmond BC . First of all, if you plan to eat here make sure you get reservations or else long wait in line. Lucky for us we didn't have to wait too long, like (20) minutes for 2 . This is a pretty decent size of restaurant. It is like a big giant square box. When we got here, there was a line out the door and with people have a.number in hand to be seated. I usually get the beef rice roll. Can't really go wrong in making this wrong. Well the rice noodle weren't as good as the Fashion Dim Sum in Seattle, but the beef inside were very good. Again price are high every where. The service was very good. We are totally full from eating.

Sebastian T.

Yelp
Dim sum all day with a very warm welcoming vibe! Bonus live music at times too! I was on the hunt for some dim sum at later hours and after following a recommendation, this place delivered and more! I think the owner of the restaurant was our waiter and he was beyond friendly and helpful! All the menu items were fresh and amazing even at an odd time, you can tell they were freshly steamed. I didn't expect a lowkey spot like this to have such amazing food, and ill definitely be back!

Debbie W.

Yelp
I'm glad to know that there are still one a-la-cart dim sum place left in Richmond. It makes me happy to come here every now and then to experience the traditional dim sum. The restaurant is located in a big plaza, so free parking was never an issue. It's always good to make a reso before coming to the restaurant, even just half an hour in advance. Because like ever other dim sum business, they have two lists, one is for walk-in, and one is for reservations. The restaurant is basically a big banquet hall. It can easily be sectioned off for different dinner events such as wedding receptions etc. Once everyone sits down, you can wait for the carts to be pushed over to your table. I'm always excited to look what's to offer from each cart. For a lot of people who are not accustomed to dim sum or Chinese food, this is a perfect way for them to see what's in each dish, and they can decide from there. All the food are made fresh with good quality, and sometime if you only want something specific, you can ask the waitress to write it down as an order. There's not a lot of wait time as people are always pushing the carts around to offer. The price is also relatively cheaper in comparison to some of the fancy menu order dim sum places. If you go with a group of four, you can expect to pay between $25-$30 including tips, and it also depends on how much you order. Overall, I am a big fan of a-la-cart style dim sum. It's fast, visual, fun to eat with a group of people. If you are not picky about the service, or the restaurant manners i.e. loudness and politeness, you will enjoy this place.

Yelp
We decided we wanted dim sum for our first meal after landing in Vancouver, and Continental Seafood was recommended as one of the more popular dim sum spots in the area, so we made a reservation for our large group. Unfortunately, due to some flight delays, about 1/3 of our group was running pretty late, but luckily they were still able to accommodate. I'm a huge dim sum lover, but sadly I wasn't too impressed by this place. I'm not sure if the style of dim sum is just different in Vancouver compared to Los Angeles, but some of the dishes were not quite what I was expecting. For example, we had ordered the mango and coconut pudding desserts and were expecting them to be much softer, but they ended up being pretty hard and difficult to break up with a spoon. Instead of melting in our mouths, we actually had to chew these up. I had also accidentally dropped my spoonful of pudding on a few separate occasions and because of how stiff it was, the whole piece stayed intact each time. We also noticed that they type of soy sauce they used for the rice rolls was different than what we were used to. Again, not sure if these were just regional differences, but overall, I just found the food to be mediocre. I could just be spoiled though after years of having dim sum in the San Gabriel Valley/626 region of LA. After reading some of the other reviews just now, I learned that this is one of the last cart-style dim sum restaurants in the area. This came as a big surprise to me as cart-style dim sum seems to be the norm around the Los Angeles/San Gabriel Valley area. That being said, if you're from around the area and have never experienced dim sum with the push carts, this could be a unique experience.

Kandra K.

Yelp
Love this place!! Perfect Dim Sum Experience! Great service! Would recommend to anyone wanting authentic Dim Sum.

Faiza K.

Yelp
3.5 STARS A solid choice for Dim Sum - this is old style cart service..I believe one of the last few in the city. It's huge and can definitely accept large parties. We asked a few locals where they go for dim sum and they all said here. Service is good - they come by with the variety of carts fairly often, or just wave them over. We went on a weekday morning, so while busy it was not BUSY. Can only imagine what a weekend might look like. As for food, we ordered a variety of dumplings (har gow, fried taro; veggie) rice rolls (scallops and beef ones); chicken feet, tendons, Everything was good - nothing particularly exceptional, but solid dim sum. If you haven't experienced cart service before, this a good spot (and probably one of the only as previously mentioned) They also offer free wifi

Maling S.

Yelp
I typically come here for dim sum but they had the Feast Richmond menu so my family decided to try it out. Overall it was really delicious. We went on Monday evening and it was not busy. The menu: 1) crab meat fish maw soup - very good! Not too salty and had good amount of crab meat. 2) bbq duck & roasted pork - I love bbq duck! My fave meat in Chinese restaurants. Tasty! 3) jumbo prawns - they was very big and impressive. Star of the menu! 4) Lamb and mushroom hotpot - I don't eat lamb but my husband said it was quite bland 5) fried black cod - not my favourite as my piece had a lot of bones 6) sticky rice with sausage - so yummy! Better with more Chinese sausages 7) daily dessert was red bean soup - good as expected. Lots of leftovers to take home which is always nice. When we were ready to leave people came in for dancing. Looking forward to Feast 2020!

Gwen N.

Yelp
My favourite no-nonsense dim sum spot. The restaurant is huge and seats a lot (even with distanced tables) so we've never had to wait to be seated a party of about 3-5 people. I've also never made reservations, just walked in! Once you're seated, someone comes quickly with a pot of hot tea. The thing I love about this restaurant is that they still have dim sum carts! I thought were extinct until I came here! You get a truly authentic dim sum experience with the cart-ladies walking around offering their various dishes. They have all the staples, har gow (shrimp dumplings), sui mai (pork dumplings), cheung fun (rice rolls), chicken feet etc. The food isn't fresh to order but it's the perfect temperature to scarf down when they place it on your table. Also typical of authentic Chinese restaurants, the service isn't attentive but if you really need something, you can easily flag someone down to get you what you need - hot sauce, soy sauce, whatever. We are usually in and out within an hour because we're always starving when we go. However, they never rush you if you want to take your time. Parking is in the lot just outside in the plaza.

Yelp
Come with family of 4, just after opening on a Sunday morning. Was quick getting a table and food carts already rolling. All the food was very good and tasty as we expected. Ordered more then We could eat, but that's was ok, we got it to go and ate later in the day. Total Bill came out just under $100 which is expected. We'll be coming back.

Yelp
This is one of the last cart-style dim sum restaurants in the city. Pretty much everything else has moved to a la carte. People either tend to love the carts or hate them. For me, it really depends on where they seat you. If you're on a main cart path near the beginning of the path you'll be happy, or you could be near the end, or off the path where the best stuff will always be gone before it gets to you. Parking really sucks in this plaza, pretty much all of the spaces are limited to 30 or 60 minutes. Although it says "strictly enforced", I've never seen anyone with tickets or getting towed, so...? The price of all of the dishes seems to have gone up considerably though. Lunch dim sum for 3 was over $80 before tip, where it used to be $50-60ish. $80+ is outrageous. The food is tasty, but dim sum is basically street food, so not fancy or high-end, though it's priced that way now here. Think we'll explore other options without carts now.

Yelp
I've been coming to this restaurant for years and have never had a disappointing meal either dim sum or a great dinner. Not a better Chinese restaurant in the Vancouver area.

Yelp
We visited this restaurant last month for a Sunday dim sum lunch. The place is big and when we visited we did not have to line up. This place still uses the push carts to bring the dim sum to the tables to be picked, which is good to see. But some times if busy takes longer time to be served. The service was descent but we had to wait for a long time to receive mustard and hot sauce (which by the time we received it the food was cold) as well as additional hot water for the tea. Quality of the food is actually pretty good, better than most we have visited in the lower mainland, but not at the top level. The prices were about 20% cheaper than the top level restaurants serving dim sum. For the price, I believe that this place provides descent quality dim sum.

Yelp
I used to go there a lot when I live with my parents. I want to put a review for my most recent visit with the whole social distancing and covid implementation. We came here 2 weeks ago for my sister's birthday and Father's Day dinner. I am very happy with the new table arrangement. The tables are far apart and they do temperature checks everywhere. They have installed plexiglass at the host desk and bar/cashier area. All the staff wears a masks and all the dishes are covered and pushed out to the table for minimal contact. I feel quite safe eating at the restaurant. In terms of food, it is still pretty good. The roast pork was not as good as the usual ones. I heard that chef has not returned to work yet. I quite enjoy the overall experience.

Yelp
Oh WOW! Careful what you order. You could be paying $15.95 to $26.95 each for your basic 3 piece dim sum! It was interesting watching people at the check out amazed at their bill. It used to be a regular place for our office to go 1-2 a week - not now! I think it's a sign they are ready to close their doors and doing a last days money grab!
