I planned quite a bit for my trip to England and Scotland, looking for unique dining experiences, not restaurants with just the usual fare. So I was already excited about my visit to Contrast. It’s been hours since my visit and I’m still excited. What a great and creative meal.
I started with the Gravlax, preceded by a small loaf of the best, softest, warmest, crispiest bread I’ve ever had. Then came the main, the Scottish cod, but not just a slab of fish, a wonderful composition of flavors and textures that mirrored the starter. My only regret is not having left enough room for dessert. Next time.
