Control Club

With a history of 17 years, Club Control in Bucharest is by far the most famous club in the city center. It offers a wide variety of music, especially at parties, ranging from electronic and house music to indie rock, new wave, and retro electro. The concert hall hosts live performances almost daily with a multitude of bands, especially from abroad. One of the oldest and most popular nights is Ground Control w/ Leo [DJ Set] [Indie Rock] [Britpop] [New Wave], this evening being my favorite.

A cozy place. I believe it can have two DJs - one in the outside part, and one at the dance floor. It'd be better if the cigarette smoke was removed.

This is by far the worst club I've ever been to. They take money for the entrence and is not even worth it. There are some other clubs where you can enjoy the beautiful music without being totally disgusted by the club itself and the horrible service. Just avoid it all together and you'll be fine. 🤮

After the renovation, that Berlin-club atmosphere has disappeared. It’s unfortunate — the place now feels like any other club trying to be a bit posh. With so many similar spots around, you can easily find something better, especially now that prices have gone up, probably to cover the renovation costs.

Good place. Very good music and a pleasant atmosphere. we went two days in a row, but the second day the security guard rudely refused us entry for no apparent reason.

Terrible door staff. Travelling from Canada and refused entry just because I was not Romanian. Pathetic. Avoid at all costs. People working the door tonight should be fired.

The bouncer was ready to let us in, he pulled his machine out, I pulled my card out to pay. Then he suddenly decided that we weren't fit to enter. He said it is not possible now. No reason, just a shrug of his shoulders. We ended up having a great evening at another place because of the bouncer at Control. Spent 500 leu. Posting it here so the management knows they are losing money and customers. Not sure they care overly though.

Night club close to Bucharest’s Old Town. They have an outdoor bar and 2 separate rooms with air conditioner and live djs playing underground house music. They also host live bands. Their bartenders will happily make cocktails which are not on the menu.
