While I truly wanted the Control Room B experience to be flawless and enjoyable, there were a few aspects that fell short. I understand that visiting during a busy time can be challenging, but the service felt somewhat chaotic. For instance, we were served the wrong cocktails—a mix-up that might be avoided if the alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks had more distinct names. I recall one of the drinks being named something with "battery," which caused some confusion. Also, the waitress served our drinks to the table next to us first.
Additionally, when food was served, the tables were not set with cutlery, and it went unnoticed by the staff. Simple checkbacks after serving could have resolved this, but I ultimately had to go to the bar to request cutlery myself. Given the prices & service charge, especially for drinks (the food was surprisingly reasonable), there’s room for improvement in staff training. While it may have been an unusually busy night, considering the venue’s prime location, high traffic likely isn’t uncommon, and better preparation would help maintain service quality.
On a positive note, the location is stunning, and the cocktails themselves were excellent. However, it was a shame they were served at different times, preventing us from toasting together. With a few adjustments, this venue could deliver an exceptional experience that matches its fantastic setting.
