Elegant castle located in a beautiful surroundings. Facing river & harbour one side. Still remaining tall towers will give you a fabulous view. Although only parts of the buildings remains, there are lot of areas to explore. There are narrow stairs to climb in those towers but well worth a try. Plenty of pay and display parking spaces available just at the entrance. It's worth a visit if around North Wales.

Walking around the wall is the exciting part of this castle. Huge towers have the narrow spiral staircase for us to climb to the top and view great scenery. We enjoyed the East Barbican's views. These castle gardens overlook the Conwy estuary and its bridges, including spectacular suspension bridge.

Excellent and beautiful castle with amazing, tall towers and great views from the top. Well worth a visit and the effort of climbing to the top of the towers. Great shop/visitor centre and wall walkway along the castle car park too. Lovely town too, Conwy. Very unique roads in and out and behind castle, like driving through the medieval times! Heritage card holders in for free too! - that was a pleasant suprise with my Historic Scotland membership!

Car park next to the castle. Couldn't pay at the machine. But pay online. Price ok The castle is pretty and very nice view, the cost is 12£ so not expensive at all and the small town is also pretty. A lots of restaurants and shops around. Has to be very nice in summer

Fantastically preserved 700+ year old Medeival castle - the finest you'll see of its type - set within a walled town with a picturesque waterside location. You have acres to several floors and towers throughout the castle, with stunning views from the very top of the river and nearby hills, and at a dizzying height over the town below. The history is particularly fascinating, and visitors of all ages will be swept up in the scale. You can easily spend an hour or two here, even with young kids, and the ticket piece is not unreasonable given the venue. Comes well recommended.

Huge castle, plenty to see, plenty of views, be aware of seagulls!! 😂 so many areas to see of this castle. I loved climbing to the top and looking all around. Long castle walls, steep entrance. good location. definitely a must visit.

Great ruins here are fantastic to walk in and around ,up the ramparts ,up each of the four towers. But please 🙏 beware that this is no way for the disabled you will NOT push a wheelchair around this very uneven cobbled pathways in the castle grounds. And also keep an eye in children up the tower stairways steep in parts. But in all very good castle 🏰 👌 to explore and great awesome views of the Conwy bay area.

It was a truly wonderful experience, set against the backdrop of stunning natural beauty and impressive historical significance. Built by Edward I during his conquest of Wales between 1283 and 1289, this fortress is one of the key fortresses in the “iron ring” of castles designed to contain the Welsh. Its well-preserved walls and imposing towers offer a glimpse into medieval military architecture at its most formidable. The castle’s position is breathtaking, appearing almost submerged in water when viewed from certain angles, which creates a stunning reflection that blends the medieval with the mystical. This unique setting, combined with the adjacent modern train line, offers a fascinating contrast between the historical era of the castle and modern times, emphasizing Conwy’s enduring presence through centuries. The surroundings of the castle are equally beautiful, providing panoramic views of the surrounding landscape and the town of Conwy. Walking through the castle, you can feel the echoes of history in its walls, imagining the lives of those who walked the same paths centuries ago. It’s a place where the past meets the present
