We stopped here for our lunch break. Great looking camping area with flushing toilets, grassed areas, trees and vehicle parking bays (will need to bring own drinking water). The sites are numbered so require a booking before arriving. Coochin is located a short drive off the Pacific Highway along Roys Road. Being this close to the city the camp area will be very busy on weekends and school holidays. Probably best to pack the ear plugs if noise is a problem.

Went for a flick, got a long tom, went home... that says more about our luck than this nice little spot. Heard it's great fishing and a good weekday overnighter (rowdy on the weekends)

Level parking and sites! Flushing toilets and river closeby! Site 6 & 7 would be best for river frontage and shade. Sites inside the circular road have firepits and good sunlight for tents or solar on small vans, but less privacy. See our photo of the site map. We went paddleboarding up the river to the boat ramp. Fishing is popular along the river here.

Not a great one. Lots of rubbish and a dumped car battery in the bushes at our site. Must be something about its convenience but it seems to attract the yelling conversations until 2am kinda campers rather than anyone actually there to take a break in nature.

Not sure why so many harsh reviews. Visited 2 nights on Australia Day long weekend. Place was half empty, just a few caravaners and us. Quiet and well kept. Sites are decently sized and grassy with fire pits at almost every site. Not too far out of town. Great if you book a few sites next to eachother with friends.

It was amazing despite not having showers, drinking water and electricity. New toilets, quiet and not overcrowded! Easily access to water activities (but no swimming). Must bring your own firewoods and drinking water. Be careful with the birds, especially the turkeys, otherwise it will take your foods. Also, a booking is required!

Campsite would be great if people weren't so dirty leaving rubbish everywhere. Also if rangers would do their job and clean up maybe? People stay here without bookings and nothing happens, so just rock up and look for an empty space. I lost my first paid night because 6 people decided to camp there and rangers couldn't care less. Lots of mozzies around so be prepared 🦟.

Very nice green campground! Basic facilities, so don't expect luxury. Sufficient for a short stay on your way to the Glass House Mountains!
