Amazing Pizza. My wife had the baked sweet potato. I had the Diavola pizza. It's pricey but delicious. Good friendly service and a really great ambiance. Loved the vibe.

A great meal enjoyed on the outside tables. Chicken schnitzel, crispy crust and juicy chicken. Broccolini with almond flakes and zucchini frites, one crunchy and one soft cooked, both delicious. Friendly sparodic service. Menu suits sharing and grazing.

The pavilion rooftop bar offers fantastic views of Coogee Beach. Their menu has limited choices as main dishes, mostly nibbles and appetizers. Their fries are to die for. They offer jugs of beer and have a good variety of nice beers. It is highly recommended for a weekend chill with beer and munchies.

The Forestiera pizza was absolutely delicious! Even the simple salad was surprisingly tasty and fresh. The only downside at least for me was how loud and noisy the place was. Other than that, great food and great service!

Seaview Restaurant | Freshly Baked Pizza & Casual Gathering | Coogee🍕🌊 💛 Today I want to share with you a very comfortable and relaxing seaside restaurant - Coogee Pavilion Ground Floor. This shop is right on Coogee Beach. It has a very large space, with two floors upstairs and downstairs, and the overall atmosphere is very relaxed. There is an open oven in the middle, where you can see the pizza being baked on the charcoal fire, and the air is filled with the aroma of baking. The freshly baked pizza here is really amazing, the thin and crispy crust has a slightly burnt aroma, and every bite is crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside. In addition to pizza, the seafood, salads, and fish and chips here are all very good. It is especially suitable for a group of friends or family to get together, eat slowly, chat slowly, and feel the sea breeze while eating. 🍽 What's special here? 💛 Freshly baked pizza 🍕🔥 📍Their pizza is really "perfect"! Each piece of pizza is freshly baked in the oven and has a charcoal-grilled aroma. The crust is crispy on the outside but chewy on the inside and not dry. 📍 The classic Margherita, Italian pepperoni, and mushroom cheese all have a very stable taste. If you like seafood, the seafood pizza is also worth a try! 💛 Fish and Chips 🐟🍟 📍 The fried fish skin is golden and crispy, and the fish meat inside is tender and juicy. It is especially satisfying when paired with French fries and tartar sauce on the side. This dish is always eaten up without you noticing, and you never get tired of it. 💛 Seafood Salad & Sashimi 🦑🐙🍣 📍 The octopus and squid cold dishes taste great, they are marinated just right, with a slightly sweet and sour taste, very appetizing. 📍 The sashimi is fresh and thickly cut, and every bite is a refreshing ocean flavor. 💛 Cocktails & other snacks 🍸 📍 They have a wide selection of cocktails, the alcohol content is not too strong, and it is well balanced, which is suitable for pairing with pizza or seafood. 📍 If you are not too hungry, you can also order some snacks, such as salads and grilled vegetables. The taste is very refreshing and it is suitable for sitting leisurely and drinking something while enjoying the sea view. 💬 Personal experience 📍 Coogee Pavilion Ground Floor is the kind of place you don’t want to leave once you’re there, especially when the weather is nice. Eating hot pizza, drinking a little wine, and feeling the sea breeze will relax your body and mind. ✨ My favorite is the oven pizza here. The crust is really great. When it is first served, you can hear a slight crispy sound, and it tastes warm in your mouth. 🔥 Seafood cold dishes and fish and chips are simple and comfortable, without complicated seasoning, and you can taste the original flavor of the ingredients. 💛 Whether you are gathering with friends or just looking for a place to relax by yourself, it is very suitable to come here and sit and enjoy the leisure time by the sea. 🍕🌊💛

Awesome venue with a great atmosphere. Love coming when it is good weather and food never fails. Highly recommend the pizza. Also a bonus of the rooftop for drinks and great music. It gets super busy on a Saturday and Sunday night

Amazing spot right by the beach! The food was fresh and full of flavor, the service was quick and friendly, and the overall vibe was just perfect for a chill afternoon. Definitely coming back again!

Google
We’ve been coming here for over 10 years and the consistency of the service, food and ambiance is so impressive! What a venue! Whether you want to enjoy a lunch or drinks at the rooftop bar, it’s all great. Two massive stone pizza ovens a fresh seafood bar and other Italian cuisine! The kids playground in the back is a solution for young families. Let the kids play while you enjoy a (responsible) drink! Now that we have teenagers (and grown ups) it’s still good!

Yelp
Una Mas is a cute Spanish spot right on Coogee Beach! The ambiance here is laid-back but chic, with a great view of the beach. I tried the spinach croquettes, which were crispy on the outside and filled with deliciously creamy spinach on the inside. They were so flavorful and satisfying, perfectly cooked to a golden brown. I also had a beautiful salad of gem lettuce dressed with dill and lemon--so simple yet incredibly fresh and refreshing. For anyone looking for great food with a view, Una Mas is a must!

Yelp
Price was a bit on the higher end, but we loved the Queen Margherita pizza with fresh buffalo mozzarella and fresh basil! I haven't had such a good Margherita pizza since New York city! Delicious! Also loved the self-service ordering system by scanning the QR code. This gave us less pressure in such a crowded and spacious restaurant. The view was also nice at the windows. View of the beach was nice. Also ordered a cup of capuccino to go. The pina colada was on-point too.

Yelp
I went there Oct. 07. Mon at 6pm. And I experienced bad customer service from a guy who in charge of the front gate. I didn't get his name but he was wearing sky blue shirts and shorts. When we ask him to get a seat its sounds pretty rude. But we didn't complain about it. But when we said that we want a outside table he said its unavailable because it have booked but we don't think so at all because other families just got that seat without reservation. I think this place has quiet a raisicm So I think the boss has to make them educate about genuine customer services. Hope another people will not have same experience.

Yelp
Wifey and I were in Australia for a wedding and this spot was the chill down spot after. Place was very clean and security checked everyones identity and age. Make sure you have your Drivers license or passport or you will not be allowed access. Food was very good both upstairs and downstairs and it was a full house. One thing i will add why 4 stars is that they dont take Discover card other all other cards are accepted. Overall, i love thus spot as it can be a date spot by the beach or happy hour with friends. Yelp
Beautiful spot for fish&chips and an Aperol Spritz. Good service. Gorgeous ambiance dining outdoors.

Yelp
Love this place. "Mimi's" (at the top) is one of the best restaurants I've been to. Food is delicious and the staff is incredible. Downstairs is a totally different vibe. great to go to if you have kids. And food is good.

Yelp
We did the Bondi to Cooge coastal walk and wandered in afterward for a rooftop view and cocktails. Everyone is proofed before entry. Can order at bar or tableside with phone or via waiter/waitress. A few different bars throughout to choose from with different views. It was a Saturday about 5pm, so the place was bustling with couples and a few celebrations (Bachelor/Bachelorette and birthday parties). Great vibe, we had dinner reservations elsewhere, so we did not eat just a few libations and moved on. Weekday Happy Hour 5-7. Enjoy!

Yelp
excellent food and service. Bustling. multiple levels, cavernous. Glad to get back here!

Yelp
Deserved a 5 star for the view, but the cocktails were lacking and the food is not the same as downstairs. Great landmark to start the Coogee to Bondi Beach hike.

Yelp
Outstanding Neapolitan pizza from amazing wood fired ovens! This his a very large establishment with tons of seating, amazing views, and the best pizza I found in the greater Sydney area.

Yelp
The rooftop bar is great. They have an awesome happy hour on the rooftop bar m-f 5-7pm $6 beer, wine and spirits. The food at the rooftop wasn't amazing, the chicken wrap was a bit dry but the fries were good. Overall, great ambience, music and view of the beach from on corner of the bar.

Yelp
Food was delish, we were seated quickly on a very very busy Friday night. The service was slow for food and drinks but once we ordered it was super quick. Had a vibe lots of different people from couples, to large groups and family's. Will be back

Yelp
Three storey pavilion with a top roof bar can easily house more than thousand people. And it was totally booked on Sunday afternoon! That is the remarkable Coogee Pavillion family restaurant in the affluent area of Coogee, Sydney. We had a family gathering on the bottom floor and I was so impressed with the effective service and tasty food. I was told by a family member that the restaurant is one of the businesses owned by well known Hemmes family. They started as Merivale and John Hemmes fashion house over 60 years ago and then expanded to more then 70 businesses. Now it is operated by one of their descendants Justin Hemmes. I had a cauliflower steak with deep fried kale and nut sauce, the other dish on the pictures - Barrakuda fillet with spinach. There were also some very creative pizzas with a nice sourdough base. Truly remarkable especially considering the size of operations!

Yelp
My food was lovely (Nicoise salad, AUD 24), my colleague was happy with his (hamburger), and the place was buzzy in a charming way. Where else would one choose to eat on a visit to Coogee? TIP the menu on the roof's limited TIP the restaurant takes reservations and without one, you're eating at the bar or at a high-top

Yelp
This place has such an awesome vibe. Sure it gets really loud and packed, but it gives off such a fun and trendy atmosphere that I'm sure both locals and out-of-towners love coming here. I went here a couple of times when I was visiting Coogee and really enjoyed it. Seems to be always busy though! I was there on a Sunday afternoon and for dinner on a Tuesday and had to wait for a table both times. I love how versatile their menu is. Because they've got a few kitchens cooking different types of food (you'll see them when you go inside), you can get anything from seafood to pizza. However, it is on the pricier side. I ordered a fried chicken sandwich ($21) and a pint of beer ($11.50) one time, but the other time I managed to order during happy hour and got the gnomo pizza for only $15 and same pint of beer for $7. The pizza is normally $26 so happy hour is definitely worth it! I think it ends at 7pm on weekdays. As for the food, I enjoyed all of it. The sandwich was fresh with a tasty slaw and the pizza was thin, wood-fired with a delicious crust. I would definitely come back if I'm ever visiting Coogee again.

Yelp
This place is absolutely packed on the weekends. While visiting Sydney from LA, we did the lovely Bondi to Coogee walk and ended up at the highly recommended Pavilion. There was absolutely no room to sit, we were lucky to grab a small table and eventually snatched the tiny table next to us as people left. Larger groups should go early and definitely grab a good place to sit and enjoy the day. Service is pretty good, they have multiple bars around the room (we were upstairs) and have plenty of servers but it takes a long time to try and get ones attention purely because the place is huge and there is so many people! You have to order food and drinks at the bar, there is no one coming to the tables to serve you. Once you order, drinks are given to you, table number gets given and your food is brought to you fairly quickly when ready. Food is absolutely delicious!!! Unique modern twists to Mediterranean favorites. Ordered the Grilled Halloumi and the Lamb Flatbread. Salivating just thinking about it. Highly recommend, must try!

Yelp
Food is very average. We stopped by after our Bondi to Coogee walk for some refreshments. The concept is cool, several vendors including Italian, seafood, pizza, coffee, gelato, and a bar. You order and take a number, and your food/drink is brought to you. Super convenient! The food is very so-so and a bit inconsistent. The fried chicken burger is nothing to rave about but the fries that came with it were piping hot and delicious. Meanwhile the zucchini fritti was soggy and barely warm. We tried a few cold drinks at the coffee bar, all decent but we appreciated that they're not overly sweet like places usually make their drinks. There's not much else around so this was basically our only choice.

Yelp
Una Mas is a great little tapas place overlooking the ocean. They have tasty dishes with the highlight being anything that uses their oils - the mozzarella, whole fish and chorizo dishes are all recommended.

Yelp
This place is huge!! Very busy, very loud but something for everyone. There's a kid section in the back, a restaurant downstairs, a rooftop bar for 18+ upstairs (quite a lot of douche bags there though...). The food at the restaurant was decent. I had the swordfish and salad which was ok. My friend had the lamb and she said it was very good! The chocolate mousse dessert was nice! The service was good too. I'd go back for the atmosphere and drinks

Yelp
Went on a Saturday afternoon and it was very busy. Put our name in and was told 10 min. Went back up after 25 min and they sat us. Pretty noisy in there. We sat at the window. Pina colada was good (especially after being in the beach for a few hours). Margarita pizza was really good, lots of flavor but the bottom could have been a bit more crisp. Loved that you could walk in right from the beach.
google avatar

E B.

Yelp
Freshly caught and grilled snapper with crisp and equally fresh Chinese greens with chili made this an unexpected surprise after a 2 hour walk along Bondi Beach to Coogee. It's a great place to relax your legs and have a bite overlooking the beach. They also have a gelato stand right outside the pavilion!
google avatar

Debbie G.

Yelp
Visited here for lunch on a Sunday, first-time visit. Atmosphere was extremely loud and unpleasant, staff were rushed and busy and not very friendly. Being so close to the beach, with fresh air available, there is no need for cold ceiling fans to be running. Also, the "background music" was very intrusive! Food very expensive for the amount served, and the taste of same. I left after finishing my meal, without even staying to look at the dessert menu. I just had to get away from the awful cacophony of noise! There are not enough adjectives in the English language to describe how unenjoyable my visit was, and I will not be returning!

Yelp
Sydney-siders love to be seen, and that's probably more true for Eastern Suburbanites than anyone else. It used to be that looking your best for an evening of dining and drinking was the venue of conspicuous consumption. But between the costs of a night out and Sydney's draconian lockout laws, brunch/lunch has become the new stage for visible socializing. Enter Coogee Pavilion. Its large space can seat many of the East's glitterati and wanna-bes. The menu is straightforward; the setting a casual cool that screams the anti-Westfield aesthetic that Merivale clearly cultivates. Open to the street and the beach, patrons can rub elbows with the "right" kind of riffraff: failed footy players in too-tight singlets, English backpackers smelling of shisha and assorted half-dressed beachgoers tracking sand on the floors in squelching Havaianas. In sum, a typical Sydney cafe on steroids. All this is forgivable, IF you can deliver. In almost respects, CP does not. Service is consistently scatterbrained and often dismissive--more of an indictment on the management than the poor overworked waitstaff who have to deal with consistently large (and frequently rude) crowds and a poorly organized restaurant layout. The food and coffee are reasonably done, but the frustration for the lengthy waits for simple fare is only surpassed by the half-cold state in which it eventually arrives. All this for a price that well exceeds other cafes in Coogee and Clovelly. Worst of all, they stop their breakfast menu (translation: less expensive menu) at 11:00, even on weekends! In short, this is a corporate clone of the small businesses that do it better. If you want to be seen, by all means go. But Coogee Pavilion is truly the triumph of poorly mimicked form over substance.

Yelp
The space is great!! Lots of windows, chill beach vibes, and it's a huge first floor! I never got to explore the upper levels but downstairs was plenty. The first time I went there I needed a place where I could do some school work undisturbed. I got myself some kind of date smoothie that was delicious and I situated myself on a couch towards the back and pulled out the textbooks. I began to notice and increasing number of mothers and strollers in the surrounding area. Soon the mothers all sat in the area around me, holding their babies, cooing with their babies, rocking their babies, talking to their babies, talking about their babies. It was a full on baby fest! If you like babies that would be a definite perk. I do not enjoy babies so I moved to a high top table and felt so much more comfortable. I accomplished all of the schoolwork I set out to do. The second time I went there was in the evening. I sat at the bar and enjoyed one of their craft beers on tap. Their pizza definitely was not mind blowing. The crust was underwhelming and a little too burnt for my tastes. The pizza toppings were also pretty average. I would go there more so for the space than for the food. Apparently their rooftop patio is unreal, but both days I was there were windy so I didn't want my things to be blown away.

Yelp
I made plans to meet up with friends here for the first time over the Christmas break. We didn't have a booking and downstairs looked completely full (I think we could have put our name down), so we headed upstairs to the roof bar. It had only just opened, so there were plenty of free seats. Just be warned that between couples sitting at the large outside tables and some group bookings (which we probably should have done), there weren't many areas for a group of people. There were some excellent virgin cocktail choices on the menu, perfect for a post-Christmas detox. For lunch, I ordered a lamb wrap, which was delicious but a little small for the price (about $15). I shared some pita chips to fill myself us. The share plates that make up the bulk of the menu are a good idea, but if you don't have a decent table (we only had a smattering of side tables around chairs), they were too difficult to share. And it would have been nice to have more of the options from downstairs on the upstairs menu (such as the pizzas). Also, for those complaining about the noise level downstairs (agreed!), it was quieter upstairs, although once a DJ got started it also became difficult to have a conversation inside, although I guess it would be okay outside on the terrace.

Yelp
I've been 5 time and it is quite simply consistently outstanding ! Service is great (as always with Merivale), the food is diverse and great - one of the rare places where oysters and pizza are as great as each other. The set up is sensational. My advice would be to start on the rooftop with a drink and a few nibbles before heading downstairs for the real stuff.
google avatar

Albert M.

Yelp
Four stars for the view, location, design and atmosphere! Three stars for everything else including variety of food in roof top. There are not many options and most of portions are tiny. Still, it's a awesome and romantic place for some drinks with your loved one or your mates or your colleagues. I'm not impressed by their service, waiters/waitresses and speed. When I need them, I can't see anyone and had to wait for 10 mins. When I don't need them, they are always around finding things to do. There is a playground in ground level. So bring your kids to let them play there and enjoy time with your partner.
google avatar

Yelp
Coogee Pavillon why are you so large!? I could spend hours and hours in this place moving from section to section enjoying the different offerings. Seafood - they've got it Coffee - they've got it Pizza bar - they've got it Dog parking - they've got it Sashimi selection - they've got it Kids play pen - they've got it Rooftop bar - they've got it Florist - they've got it Wine on tap (yes, on tap!) - they've got it I've been twice so far and both times service has been friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. I look forward to returning for a rooftop Sunday session when summer returns.

Yelp
I'm here today in front of you as living proof that if you are willing to put in the time and the effort and with a little patience and luck, you will get the ultimate prize. In this case the ultimate prize is the swingy chair at the back of the Pavilion. We arrived at around 12.30pm on a Monday. There were more people than I expected for a Monday. Don't you people work?! With patient waiting, and drinking and drinking and waiting we progressively upgraded our spot from high stools by the window to fish print couch to the swingy chair. And once we had the swingy chair we couldn't very well give it up. And that folks is how we spent 10 hours boozing at the Coodge. Over the course of this mammoth session we tried much of what this place has to offer. I can recommend the pizza, the potatos (get the potatos!), the onion rings, the Trout Salad, the chips, the Bloody Marys (get the Bloody Marys!) My only gripe is looking at the bubbly menu and thinking Whoah! That escalated quickly. In the blink of an eye you go from cheap and nasty to Moët, Clicquot and Dom P with nothing in between. This is a place built for all sorts. A toy area for the kiddies. Noughts and Crosses on the wall for the big kiddies and lots of lounging space for us serious drinkers. There is a tendency for people here to let their kids run riot which can be annoying. I'm looking at you every parent in the place. I didn't go up to the rooftop bar but will definitely be back to try it. The staff were surprisingly friendly for a Hemmes establishment as hipster as this. All around the decor and service make the Pavillion comfortable enough to practically move into and made the CBH (where we went for afters) look positively drab in comparison. *Credit Dan P for "The Coodge"

Yelp
Absolutely LOVED this place while visiting NSW. The atmosphere is fun and upbeat and the food is reasonably priced. Great service and a friendly environment, it felt like I was back in Southern California. I came here with a bunch of friends and we had reserved a large table. We hung out for awhile before heading upstairs to the bar area which was an even cooler space than downstairs. They were kind enough to give us a private area since we were so large! Definitely plan on coming back if I'm in Sydney again - I wish this place was in LA!
google avatar

Joanna H.

Yelp
I love the Pav, and not just because it's a 10 minute stroll from my abode but it damn sure helps! Everything Merivale touches turns to gold and it's no different with Coogee Pavilion. It's got something for everyone and the pizzas are to die for (massive wood-fire oven inside) and plenty of other food and drinks to choose from. There's an indoor kids area (I avoid this like the plague), a barber shop, juice bar, gelato bar and beautiful outdoor rooftop, though in Summer this area becomes sweaty and people pack in like sardines. The bars upstairs are a bit confusing and the lines become frustratingly long so if you're like me and hate people, head to the Pav in Winter.

Yelp
As new Coogee residents, the hubs and I couldn't have been more delighted to see this beautiful pavilion take shape right before our eyes. Its truly one cool restaurant: its hip, fresh, coastal, its got nooks within nooks and really well-designed use of space. It's buzzing with excitement, and there is a massive area towards the back that's brilliant for families and kids. Having been here over a dozen times now, we feel like we've really given it a fair shake. Our problem is with the sanitation of food prep by the cooks and chefs. We've watched in disgust, on multiple occasions, a plethora of health-code violations. In the mornings while having our coffee, we have watched every single chef eat his/her breakfast on the line, (also the pizza chef eating in front of guests) eating, then wiping their mouths, face and nose with their hands, and putting their hands straight back into the food they are prepping. Annnnd, There is a giant mixer on the guest side of the restaurant, not in the kitchen or prep area, where we've seen employees working with raw batter and having their coffee at the same time=no sink for hand-washing, & restaurant guests walking or dining next to an open vat of raw batter...yuck!!! The food in general, is really pretty mediocre, and the kitchen can't time dishes to come out together for the table to save their life. Im not talking apps (or entrees in Aussie English) which obvy come out first... but when youre dining with friends its nice to eat mains together which hasnt happened yet. While we love the space, coffee or cocktails only at The Pavilion for us from here on...
google avatar

Yelp
You're paying for the view, not the food. A slice of toast (with your choice of peanut butter, honey, jam or Vegemite) costs AUD$6.5 and the avocado toast, which I got, cost AUD$16. Quite overpriced but at least the atmosphere was pleasant.

Yelp
I loved everything about this place. From the view, to the brunch, the roof and the atmosphere. I could literally spend the entire day here! After brunch they transition to dinner with a pizza section that looked amazing and seafood that smelled so fresh. You can chill and drink and take in the breathtaking views of Coogee Beach. The upstairs and roof has two bars and an even better view with cozy seating all around. This might have been my fav spot during my Australia trip!

Yelp
Let's be real - this is one of the best places for a bevvy and pizza in all of Sydney. You absolutely cannot beat the location. It has a fantastic mix of casual bar seats, a semi-formal dining room, and an upstairs bar. People watching here is so fun. Beautiful model-y types all there clearly on the pull, families, groups of ladies who lunch, bunches of dudes checking out the groups of ladies who lunch, tourists, locals - everyone is mixing and mingling and drinking and nibbling on snacks. I absolutely LOVE their pizzas - at around $22 a pop it's good value for money and they always come out fresh and fast. The crusts are sooo soft and delicious! In true Sydney fashion it isn't cheap but for the location you can understand the prices, unlike most other dive bars that still think in spite of their crappy decor punters should fork over $9 for a schooey.

Yelp
This place is huge...like, HUGE. It's a family friendly environment and great for groups. There's a pretty massive menu and you can play some games in the back as well. We had a group of 6 including a baby and service was great as someone came by to check on us every now and then. I heard they had a good burger...and that they do. Seriously, top 5 burger in Sydney easily. The chicken burger is no slouch either. But damn that cheeseburger they have is delicious and if I'm ever in Coogee again I will be ordering myself another one.

Yelp
Very impressive venue, the Midas touch of Justin Hemmes seems to be running true. We came in for Sunday lunch and omg could not believe how busy this place is. With and hour and a half wait for a proper table we managed to find a perch to get something from the bar menu, which is not too bad. The venue is astonishing with crooks and nannies everywhere for whatever you fancy. Incredibly kids friendly with a whole area dedicated to table tennis, an amazing vertical wall scrabble and games galore. Kid heaven, wish I could be a kid again just for this!! Low tables and a play room add to it all, and a whole row of booths for the pile of board games look like fun. Fit out is retro beach chic, I think. We had burgers and a chicken sandwich- really a chicken burger. Nice soft buns, tasty burger, American cheese, pickles onions giddy up! Well cooked fries and tomato sauce in the traditional plastic red tomato complete the picture. We saw pizzas going by and they looked crispy, nice toppings and served on one of those wire stand thingees. Look forward to trying the real menu, the seafood platters look most excellent. As it is only half finished, the upstairs still to be done, it's pretty impressive. Recommended, will be back ... And back ... And back!

Yelp
Very good one! Advanced and impressive layout design. Separated in various areas to fit different dinning environment. You can be with friends, family, kids, fellows, etc. They even got barber area, pingpong table and play ground. Kitchen is open and seafood is very fresh. Price is OK and waitress is kind. Definitely we will be back again.

Yelp
As far as transformed old pubs goes, Coogee Pavillion has got to be one of the most dramatic. The old Palace has turned into a typical Merivale hipster joint that everyone wants to be seen at. It's got a market + brunch cafe + lounge setup (yes I was confused at first too but it will grow on you). Top it up with other hipsterness like little pretty flower plants, vintage bicycle display, jam jars, dudes with short sleeve shirts and bow tie and ridiculously good looking staff in general, this is definitely where all the cool kids will be this summer.

Yelp
Great location by the beach, interesting decor, the italian-style pizza is not bad at all! (says an Italian) Thumbs up

Yelp
The atmosphere can't be beat and I loved seeing the dedicated children's area! We enjoyed a cup of coffee and the brown rice bowl that was incredibly fresh and filling.

Yelp
Happening spot, with good drinks, and fresh food. We ate at the bar area towards back of Resturant by DJ spinning tunes. Service was a little slow, but the hospitality, good drinks, and fresh food made up for it. We shared lamb meatballs in fresh marinara sauce that were really good, as well as a handmade pizza that hit the spot. Good people watching, music, and atmosphere are a plus here, enjoy.

Yelp
Stopped in for brunch on a Saturday morning about a week ago and it was the perfect light brunch. I got the egg and bacon roll. The vegemite mayo was a perfectly unique touch and I am not a fan of vegemite generally. I also had a skinny iced mocha, which was perfection. My friend had the jaffle which was also really good. Portions were small for the price, but if you're looking for a light brunch or a great coffee before the beach, this is a great stop.

Yelp
Very cute little spot along the water to end the hike along the beach. Good drink selection and very friendly and inviting service. We only had drinks but the food being brought out looked and smelled delicious.

Yelp
I LOVE the pizza here. It's authentic Napoli style and the atmosphere is great for hanging out with friends. I 100% recommend the spicy pizza if you like spicy food.

Yelp
Disappointing but not terrible. I took the family there today for my dads birthday. We got there at 11.45 and there were lots of large empty tables indoors but we were told that no larger tables were available for a long time but we could get a table outside immediately so we took it. I started noticing that the only people being seated outside were families with young kids so I smelt a rat. I checked back inside and all the large tables were still empty with no reserved signs on them. I guess Merivale aren't really child friendly. The service was good but the food was a real let down and overpriced. 3 of us had the Coogee burger which was fairly good. One of us had the Barrimundi which was a daily special. They were really let down by a dish costing $40 and had no real accompaniments. Someone else had their 'hand pies' which were like empanadas but dry and boring.

Yelp
I don't like writing bad reviews but ended up walking out of this place after 20 minutes. We were told to sit anywhere with a flick of the hand. We had never been here before so had no idea what was going on and it was like a zoo. Tried asking 3 waitresses for a menu and was eventually given one. Whilst deciding what to have a waiter came over and told us we had to move after we were told to sit anywhere. Everything was too much work so we left and went across the road to a lovely cafe where the staff were friendly and helpful and the food was lovely. Terrible customer service!

Yelp
Oh man, they are still renovating this place on the second level when I visited a month or so ago. It's amazing. I was ready to feel out of place amongst all the beautiful people, but the top floor (away from the kids on the ground floor) was airy and breezy and welcoming. It wasn't full, so I reckon we had the advantage of many new visitors to this place as it doesn't seem like it would be great when packed. As it was, it's got typical pricing for a Sydney establishment (think $40 for 4 drinks - and that's two soft drinks). Having said that, the outlook is amazing and it's worth it just for the experience. Once. It's definitely not wait service, but typical by the beach laissez faire attitude.
