One of the most beautiful experiences in Lisbon – a memory for a lifetime! Taking part in this cooking class was absolutely wonderful, authentic, and unforgettable. With a fantastic atmosphere and amazing hosts, we learned how to prepare traditional Portuguese dishes with love and passion. Along the way, we met lovely people from all over the world – fellow food lovers and fans of Portuguese culture. From the very first moment to the last bite, everything was organized with warmth, professionalism, and heart. It was truly a pleasure to be part of this experience – and we would wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking for something special and local. Highly recommended! 🇵🇹✨

Took the Secrets of Portuguese Bread baking class and was pleasantly surprised that sourdough was on the class syllabus. Pedro was a very patient and knowledgeable teacher - our party of 4 had a private class with him. We enjoyed every minute of the class as well as eating the results of our labor 😋

We booked the cooking class for our teambuilding event for 18 persons and it was great! Pedro was an amazing chef – friendly, skilled, and made the experience really fun. The food was delicious. Booking was easy and the communication was smooth from the start. Highly recommended!

This tour was one of the highlights of my trip to Lisboa. Very fun, very interactive and hands on. We made a total of 8 recipes and the food over exceeded my expectations and our cooking instructor was so kind and helpful. Would def recommend to everyone!!

While we were initially put off by the price, this ended up being a fabulous activity and worth every euro! The session and apparently the organization are very well organized and very customer focused. Chef Pedro was personable, entertaining and informative as he led us to the market to select ingredients, and throughout the cooking experience. We all really did get our hands on the preparation, including being able to shuck oysters and fillet fresh fish! The meal at the end was very good and the generous supply of wine did help us to enjoy the day! I heartily recommend this experience!

Lisbon cooking is designed so that you can cook your own lunch together with a larger group of up to 30 people. Excellent recipes as well as chefs who assist with wit. The rich aperitifs are definitely needed so that you don't always take a bite of the fine food you are preparing. A great experience with a great group. Thank you

We just did a cooking class with Renata during our stay in Lisbon. It was absolutely wonderful. The class was fun, engaging, and very hospitable. The whole time we felt like we were cooking with Renata in her home and joining her for dinner. If you love the joy of cooking with family for holidays and the shared meal after, this is definitely for you. Additionally, the food was also excellent and I'm very excited to remake some of the recipes at home!

Yelp
Super fun cooking class!! I didn't really pay too much attention to the leveling of classes but was informed we had signed up for the beginners course which was so surprising because there were quite a few technical tasks involved! We started at the Cooking Lisbon kitchen and then walked as a group to the market. We had about 5 minutes or so to explore before getting a chance to taste test some cheeses, breads, and roasted pork. We then walked around and bought our groceries and seafood for our group meal before making the trek back to the kitchen. When we returned there was a wonderful spread of cheeses, bread, jams, and nuts for us to snack on while we cooked. There was also unlimited wine, juice, and water available to us as we cooked and later with our meals. As a group we chopped up vegetables, minced garlic, peeled oranges and prepped the seafood. All remains went into a simmering pot that would become our soup. We shucked oysters and ate them raw, we filleted about four fish and prepared the clams. It was such a blast and everyone was so much fun to be around. Our instructor Paulo and his assistant Fernanda were so kind and patient, it was truly such a great time and intro to Portuguese cuisine!

Yelp
After a long love affair with pasteis de nata, we were excited to take a cooking class with Filippa to learn to make them. She was a delightful and supportive teacher. We spent a delightful two hours working under her instruction and the end result was a plateful of gorgeous pastries. They sent us home with as many as we could take. So much fun!

Yelp
We had an amazing time at this cooking class. I enjoyed the market experience watching them clean the fish and pick the freshest fruit and veggies. Even while we waited on our food we had a delicious board with wine and water. We also were able to help prep the food by cutting the veggies and cleaning this fish. The food was delicious. It was great to have a meal and learn about the culture over some authentic cuisine.

Yelp
Hiya, We did a class here as eight family members and two other we did not initially know. It was a blast. Paolo was our guide, teacher and chef and we were all friends and overly well fed after the four hour culinary experience. I recommend this highly. Get there on time so as not to miss the walk to shopping at the neighborhood municipal market. I recommend this experience early in your time in Portugal because you will recognized some of what you learn here in other eating experiences around the country.

Yelp
Found this through an experience package called Tinggly (gifted for our wedding). This 3 hour Tuesday cooking class was the perfect way to spend our last night in Lisbon. With a total class size of 4 plus chef, we all had plenty of to do between making the soup, entree, and dessert. Peeling potatos, boiling eggs, cutting veggies, de-skinning the cod, flipping the meringue, and whipping the custard were just some of the tasks. Plenty of snacks (beans, olives, and bread + oil) and drinks (wine and OJ for the pregnant one) provided during downtimes. It was an intimate and friendly setting, where we were all chatting about our foodie aventures thus far. The best part was enjoying our hardwork in a 3 course dinner =) where all the serving and cleaning up was done by our instructor. And keeping our souvenir aprons!

Yelp
We had a fantastically memorable time with Cooking Lisbon, walking to a local traditional market to purchase our ingredients, then cooking a 3 course meal to sit down and share with the new friends we had made in the class. The wine flowed freely, and we all chipped in, helping one another as we cooked while eating deep fried tempura green beans. Our traditional Portuguese menu consisted of: Potato and chorizo soup with shaved cabbage Seafood stew, made in a traditional lidded pot, with shrimp and monk fish Baked cheese cake made with a soft cheese (akin to ricotta) I've taken quite a few cooking classes abroad and this one ranked highly. Really nice kitchen to work in, with a helper to do the washing up, and the market visit was very informative and interesting too. Many of the stall holders gave us a free taste of what we were eating and Thomas the chef told us all about the ingredients and how we were going to use them. Easy to book and pay online, and easy to find (we took the metro) with competitive pricing considering you are eating a 3 course lunch with wine included. We also got to keep our aprons which was a nice touch. I would definitely recommend if you want to do something different during your Lisbon visit, especially one you can recreate at home to impress friends and family.

Yelp
It was a lot of fun to prepare dinner with our group and everyone had a good time, but when we sat down to eat it got very quiet, the food was very disappointing and the wine was nothing special either...

Yelp
This was hands down one of my favorite parts about Lisbon. We took a cooking class in Barcelona with a similar company, but this one surpassed the one in Barcelona on so many levels. The chefs here are so very helpful as well as kind. We started the class around 6:30pm, and it was estimated to go until about 10:00pm; however, we were there until closer to 11:00pm--eating, drinking wine and just chatting with our new found friends. As for the food, the cod dish was the winner of the night for me. Do not hesitate to book this for one of your evenings in Lisbon.

Yelp
One of our most memorable experiences in Lisbon (and throughout our many trips to Europe). This group of talented chefs are amazing! First they were gracious and generous as we had booked the wrong date, and yet they accommodated us with what turned out to be a private lesson for the three of us. The evening was memorable not just for the culinary knowledge and experience, but also to share life experiences, culture and customs. The meal that we prepared together was also our best! They are amazing.
