Voted Maui's best burger? I was excited to try! This review is pre-fire at their former location in Lahaina. They've since moved to Kukui Mall in Kihei. LAHAINA ATMOSPHERE: They were located on the third level of the Wharf Cinema Center. The open-air restaurant offered great views of either Front Street or the atrium of the mall. The main seating area was protected by a red canvas tent roof which made everything at the table look red (see my food pics and you'll get the idea.) It's so odd. They should've used white. It also trapped heat so you could constantly feel that on your head, though it wasn't unbearable. The chairs were the light brushed metal type and made lots of noise on the brick floor when people got up. There was huge bar and TV's abound, even under the red circus tent. A small gift shop off to the side also featured a tiny arcade. The place was definitely older but pretty well kept. MENU: Salads, sandwiches of all kinds, burgers, bar apps, and a handful of American entrees. FOOD: Jailhouse Rock Burger I substituted the French roll for grilled sourdough. The 6.5 oz. patty was fresh (never frozen,) tender, juicy, and flavorful. Toppings were mayo, thousand island dressing, Jack cheese, tomatoes, lettuce, pickle chips, and grilled mushrooms and onions. The burger was difficult to handle because of the sourdough bread so next time I'll opt for a regular bun. It comes served in those tiny plastic trays adding to the difficulty of consuming. The portion size is very good. Fries The one size only basket of thicker cut shoestrings are sprinkled with seasoned salt, my fave. It's a huge portion that can feed 4 adults. The two of us had a lot leftover. Took it home and gonna pop them in the toaster oven. SERVICE: The male host was averagely friendly. Our female server was patient, professional, friendly and checked on us frequently despite handling a super busy restaurant with very large parties. The place is bigger than I expected but they're super busy so prepare for a wait. Luckily we missed the rush by 10 minutes. OVERALL: Is it Maui's best burger? I sort of agree. I've had great burgers at a few places but they're definitely in my top 5.

In a fun, central location Cool Cat Cafe was also a delight for the good food. The service was average and I had to ask to have my drink filled. I think the server may have had too many table to take care of. The place was clean and the food was above average. My wife really liked her Don Ho burger and my daughters both really liked the California Dreamin’ sandwich and my fish loving daughter enjoyed her catch of the day. (Not sure what the fish was, but she liked it quite well.). I had the blue suede shoes burger. It was cooked just right, not overcooked, the blue cheese was plentiful, but not overdone and the bread, a brioche bun, was also tender and slightly chewy in texture, just right. Overall, it was a very positive experience and we’d go back, if or when the occasion presents itself.

Great little place to eat while in Lahaina. We had the burger of the month which was awesome. Blue cheese and garlic burger. The fish tacos were good, nothing special. The fries were average. Onion rings were really good. We had no wait, at 11:30am which was really nice. Worth a try. Reasonable prices too.

This place is so cool! Love their rooftop eating space overlooking the main street. The burgers are the best in Maui and love their root beer floats! The atmosphere and food are worth every penny! Would visit there in the future!

Amazing food! Such a pretty spot fully shaded, open-air balcony across from the banyan Tree. Best burgers on Maui! Vegetarian & vegan friendly try the Dream Lover. Kid's hot dog was huge and delicious. Ordered onion rings for the table. All house made sauces. Great family-friendly spot. Also they have their own restrooms! Restrooms can be hard to come by in downtown Lahaina.

We were there for happy hour and had the sliders, Mai Tais, the burger of the month which was called Merry Cheese I believe, chicken strips, and grilled cheese sandwich. The service was good and the atmosphere was nice. The food was good and happy hour definitely helps. Would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for their burger fix.

Good place to bring a group. Food was nice, maybe a tad bit priced up but not surprising in such a touristy area. Service was good. Was craving burgers and this definitely did the trick! Decor in the outdoor seating area where we were could use some updating or jazzing up to go with the retro theme. It would help differentiate the restaurant from the rest of the shopping area. Overall nice experience. Good location if you want some variety of shopping, sweet treats, sights and sounds, all perfect things to take in while waiting for the table in the restaurant.

I was pretty impressed with the taste of the burger- I ordered one with pineapple. They have huge space and still pretty well occupied. Rather delicate balance of ingredients. It meets the reputation. Also tasted milk shake which was pretty awesome. Fast and friendly service as well. Definitely an above the pack restaurant in terms of burgers.
