Everything is wonderful, and have you seen those sunrises & sunsets. We have been there for a few family functions, grandchildren’s birthdays all 3 at once and my own 70th birthday where all the guests were treated to a very personal and insightful history of the Winery and all their amazing wines by their Sommelier Natalie Bishop, followed by a wonderful meal. Cannot fault the attention to detail. Most guests stayed over & enjoyed the country charm of the vineyard over the next couple of days. Cannot thank them enough ❤️

Honest Wine, Rustic Setting This is a rare gem: a small winery that actually practices estate viticulture, growing the grapes they produce their wine from. This integrity is something I wholeheartedly admire, especially when so many modern operations simply source and sell bulk wine. The staff were friendly and attentive. However, the setting is significantly dated. The cellar door is old-fashioned and quite run down, and the restaurant looked distinctly shabby from the outside (I did not dine there). They don't claim to be a luxury operation, so criticism must be fair. If you prioritize authentic, estate grown production over modern polish, this is a great stop.

I paid for 2 rooms for 3 nights paid over $1500. The location itself great, the rooms on the other hand not good very dusty which was disappointing, needs a massive update, mould in the showers, blood mark's on the blankets. Stairs not very sturdy felt like they were about to colapse the hand rails very unsteady. Dead bugs on the window cells and and on the floor very musty smell. Found blankets thrown in the cupboards not folded, tv channels didnt work except 1 channel no wifi air cons dont work well at all wasn't cold in the room. Could hear the people outside and next door as if they were in the same room. Sun and flood light beaming in the room as there wasn't anything on the window. Noone was in reception i understand they have families but also running a business needs to have a face for people to go to if needed. Check out 10am like everywhere but reception dont go in till 11am this means no one to speak to in regards to concerns. Wont be back ever again.

Great morning and tasting at Coolangatta estate. Historic property and lovely cellar room. Bailey guided us through a wonderful tasting of wines. Excellent! Well worth a visit and to stock up the wine cabinet.

A beautiful location with friendly, helpful staff welcoming visitors to their cellar door. The wine tasting with Liam and Brenton was fabulous. They were knowledgeable about the wines and how they were produced and happy to share stories about the beautiful Coolangatta Estate. Everything we tried was delicious and the prices were very reasonable for great wine. I look forward to going back soon and highly recommend to people visiting the south coast.

Beautiful spot - lovely to walk around the grounds and see the history of the convicts village before doing the excellent tasting. We spent an age chatting with the ever engaging Liam - was impressively knowledgeable about the wine but also had great stories as he is part of the family who restored the site. Def recommend a visit

Coolangatta winery is an absolute vibe! The views are gorgeous; the place is too. The staff are so helpful and friendly and most importantly, the wine is fabulous! Liam was the person serving us wines and was absolutely fantastic . Brenton was helping and was also great! 10/10 recommend this place!

My daughter got married in October 2025 on the estate the bridal party stayed the night on arrival with myself around 3.15pm there were no staff to be seen, we entered my daughters room which was lovely but very disappointed to see they hadn't even left a bottle of wine to say congratulations on your wedding especially its a winery. Come Saturday morning on my arrival at 7.30 am I brought some pastry for the bridal party as they couldn't even get something to eat, as the morning went on I seen alot of staff walking around but still no one came to see if we needed anything, I went to the cellar to buy some wine for us girls and still not a word about do we need anything. The bridal party did organise with the winery to have some drinks brought up for when they were doing their photos but again NOTHING. The estate was beautiful my daughters wedding was amazing but I dont think I would recommend anyone to spend that kind of money at a place that dosent have the care factor.. What I seen at the cellar area the drive in customers got alot more attention with spending such a smaller amount of $. HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED It is the simple little things that mean alot

Yelp
Alexander's Restaurant at Coolangata Estate. Not impressed i'm afraid. Dined here on a Saturday night, the clue was in the number or diners, not many of us, perhaps only 7 tables all night. Slow service, disinterested waitress and average food. I had a steak, it was tough, no steak knife given or offered. We had three courses, all of which were average and didn't justify the price tag, approx. $30 per main.
