Cooper's Bar

This place oozes authenticity. We stopped as part of a private tour but saw no one else but locals there during our hour or so. It has bathrooms in a separate shack. There’s also a pet monkey and other animals roaming around. You will be eating outside so be prepared for some flies who will also want the delicious food. The chicken meal was our favorite.

Fresh and delicious home cooking in a scenic setting. My husband enjoyed the ribs and I loved the baked chicken. The local meats were served with a variety of sides including a delicious potato salad and macaroni pie! All washed down with a refreshing rum punch (loved the old road rum). If you find yourself near the black rocks, I highly recommend stopping in for some amazing local food.

I have eaten here several times. The food is amazing, the owners are just the sweetest people, and the view is stunning! Portions a large and so delicious! Highly recommended!

Great food! Server was exceptionally friendly and kind. What I would LOVE to see is the monkey in the cage freed. It was hard to enjoy my meal knowing that a highly social animal is locked in a cage for decades. The other animals on the property also need medical care. The cat had a injured/broken leg, as did the dog, as well as either mange/ringworm. The cat was scrawny. I ended up feeling so bad that I fed them most of my lunch.

Doesn't get much better than Coopers, local cuisine.
