We came here for a quick lunch after a ride on the Georgetown Railroad. Cooper’s on the Creek was one of a few places open for lunch on a Tuesday afternoon. The inside is cutely decorated and clean. The restrooms were nice and clean. The food was good. The Cooper Burger was good. The fries were a little too greasy for my liking. Overall it’s a good place to stop for a good bite to eat. Everyone was super friendly.

This spot was perfect for an evening spent out with my girlfriends. I ordered the Green Chile Shrimp and Grits which I highly recommend. The Green Chile dip, Truffle Mac and cheese and Truffle fries were all delicious. The flavors were absolutely amazing. I very much appreciated the great wine list. The service that we received was exceptional, very attentive and super friendly.

This place is cute with seating outdoors by the creek. Best bet is to reserve a table as this place has incredibly limited seating. We ended up indoors as we were earlier than our reservation(travel time was way shorter than anticipated) which is our bad. They have a day menu, bar menu and an after 4 menu. We all enjoyed the meals we got. My only real complaint is the pricing. Dunno how local folks get to enjoy this place as it’s kinda hefty. Due to this, we probably won’t come back as a family but perhaps on other occasions.

Our 1st visit to Coopers, Amazing! We were greeted with smiles that continued throughout our entire dinner. We had dinner indoors (too hot out that day). We started with House Margarita and a Moscow Mule. Both excellent. I tried the Ribeye Steak with Fries (actually comes with Duckfat Fingerling Potatoes - due to gut issues i didn't chance it - maybe next time). Steak was fabulous, cooked & seasoned perfectly. Best I've ever had! My husband loved the Green Chile Truffle Mac & Cheese (hatch chile), definitely had a kick but DELICIOUS! Banana Cheesecake, no room left, but shared it. Most impressive was the great service by the entire staff! Michael, our server, fun FABULOUS. Very attentive, constantly checking on us. Lots of smiles and no hesitation with any dietary or other requests. So many great food options on the Menu, check them out! Truly impressive! We will definitely be back!!!! THANK YOU! Highly recommended!

A Relaxing Outdoorsy Experience If you’re looking for a laid-back dining spot with a scenic touch, Cooper on the Creek is a great choice. Nestled by a small, tranquil creek, the setting offers a refreshing outdoor experience that pairs perfectly with a good meal. The friendly staff and simple yet well-curated menu make it an easy pick for a casual outing. A perfect start to the meal is the Green Chili Dip with house potatoes and the Crispy Brussels Sprouts—both flavorful and satisfying. When it comes to entrees, the burgers steal the show, with the Cooper’s Burger being a must-try for its juicy, well-balanced flavors. Burgers pairs with colorful cocktails perfectly. For dessert, while the Crème Brûlée didn’t quite hit the mark, the cheesecake was a solid choice with a creamy and delicious finish. The restaurant is well-maintained, with clean restrooms, and the entrance faces northwest. Overall, I recommend this place for anyone who enjoys good food in a relaxed, nature-filled setting, and I’ll definitely return for another meal by the creek.

Google
Stopped here looking for a cute mom and pop restaurant. This fit the description perfectly! Their back room overlooking the river is beyond gorgeous and they have a great heater in case it’s cold. To start out the Brussels sprouts were fantastic and had so much flavor as they use a special chili sauce mixture. I got the candied hog burger and it did not disappoint! The flavors were immaculate and the beef was fresh and thick. Definitely a more meaty burger. The fries were a huge disappointment. They were more like chips as they are way too thin so all u eat is fried crunch. The cooper burger on the other hand was not as flavorful and was just beefy. I recommend the hog burger for sure. Our waiter was extremely friendly and seemed happy to be there. Everything was great until he left us with the check and never came back to retrieve it. We have to walk to the front. I’m sure it was a mishap but still was inconvenient. I would definitely recommend stopping here and then exploring Georgetown!

Google
Not what it used to be. Nice bar restaurant right off the highway in Georgetown. Came here a couple years ago and the food was a fantastic and the service was really great. Hostess was unfriendly. Tried to make small talk in a friendly way and I was completely ignored. Out of several menu items, including green chili, the duck pie and soup. Really mediocre Reuben sandwich. The corn beef must’ve been grilled before It was put on the sandwich and large portions of it were burnt. And they didn’t have any horseradish or horseradish sauce for the side. Got there when they opened at 11:30 and it filled up really quick they were busy. Not sure why. Server was friendly about the only redeeming thing for the whole place

Google
We saw many great reviews for this place. We live in CO and decided to take a small weekend get away trip. For a $100 meal it was NOT worth it. I got a hamburger and it was eh. I could’ve been more satisfied at Wendy’s. My husband got the shrimp and grits and he said it was almost like it was microwaved. Our drinks were good. Our waitress was good when she came around. Overall, I’m sure out of the limited places to eat in Georgetown there is better for $100. Not impressed.

Yelp
Very impressed! We needed a good pre-14er hike meal and wanted something filming, but light, and def not greasy junk food. This was it! We were staying just down the road in Georgetown for its proximity to the mountains we were trying to summit. And the food here was delectable! Great flavor, healthy & fresh. We set on the patio which is literally on the creek. They had the windows popped open which allowed the cool night air in as well as the sound of rushing water below. Dont be fooled by the appearance of inside, the food is awesome and the patio is quaint and relaxing! I chose to go with the half Chicken that came with broccolini and mashed potatoes! Everything perfectly cooked and seasoned just right! Our waitress was great! We will def return if we hike in the area again

Yelp
I went to Western Colorado for the Palisade Peach Festival in Palisade. I left mid-afternoon Sunday but still hit stop & go traffic in Georgetown. I noticed a local restaurant, Coopers on the Creek. Nice large selection of beers and food items. I overheard from a server that a few hours before, they were swamped. They have a truly good deal with a 12oz draft of New Belgium Mountain Time Premium Lager for only $3. I added a Candied Hog Burger with 8oz ground angus beef topped with chili dusted bacon, gorgonzola cheese and black garlic aioli for $20 with an order of Truffle fries for $3. A tasty and filling meal. The Mtn Time Premium Lager was excellent. They add a 2% Culinary charge. I was served by Megan B and she was nice. I joined their rewards program.

Yelp
Perfect bite! Whole family satisfied from the burgers. Green chili had a nice kick . Staff nicely split our burger and plated the halves separately, a nice touch of service. Ambiance is nice; I really appreciate the sound absorbtion pads. Really levels the atmosphere. (Brussel sprouts were amazing :D)

Yelp
It's definitely been awhile since I've been to Cooper's on the Creek, but I was pleased to find they're still holding it down. I stopped by with some friends on a Sunday afternoon for some post-hike noshing, and we managed to hit the HH menu, which was a pleasant surprise. We ended up ordering a number of things to share, including the burger, the green chili dip, duck poutine, and the grilled romaine salad. Everything was tasty and well prepared, but a special shout out to the homemade chips and green chili dip. The dip was absolutely fantastic, and I couldn't stop eating the chips. It was all excellent paired with our beers, and they had a great (and super interesting) selection on those as well. Our server was a pro, and totally accommodated us waiting the few minutes for HH to start as well. It's a great place to go unwind, with a picture perfect creekside view no less, when you're out and about Georgetown.

Yelp
from Baltimore, MD and was very disappointed. Food was mediocre and staff was very unfriendly. Won't stop in again or recommend.

Yelp
While on my last road trip (Englewood to Grand Junction) and hunting for a lunch spot, we stumbled across this little gem and decided to check it out!! The staff were friendly, restaurant is large and clean, the outdoor patio has a beautiful view of the river and the food was delicious! Highly recommend the duck pot pie!! It was fabulous

Yelp
A great little place just as you are entering, or leaving, Georgetown. Plenty of good parking and the building and parking lot are extremely clean. You can choose to sit inside the building proper, or you may sit in an enclosed back deck area right near the water. This area by the water is where we sat and we enjoyed it immensely. Maddie, our server, was friendly and spunky. She was attentive and efficient which made for a pleasant atmosphere. The food was on the mid range of average which is why this is a four star review instead of a five. The hemp garden burger was incredible but the Reuben was dry and entirely too light on kraut and dressing. Even the extra kraut I asked for was dry. I was disappointed with this sandwich and wouldn't order it again. The service and attractive location made this place worth the visit. The food was a little disappointing as were the portion sizes.

Yelp
This place has an awesome location. Easy to find. Service was nice and good was pretty good. We got the burger and it was huge! Crème brûlée was awesome!

Yelp
Came here for lunch with a group of eight. I ended up getting the chicken bistro sandwich (Grilled chicken, candied bacon, smoked provolone, black garlic aioli, ciabatta, house cut fries) and it was very underwhelming. The bread that the sandwich was on was way too big, and the chicken definitely tasted like it was previously frozen. The bacon was very skimpy and the additional toppings were laid out on tbe side of the plate as if a second thought. The fries were also very limp and could have been fried for a few more minutes at least for more crispiness. The server seemed overwhelmed and kept dropping things at both our table and another - he lost a bun on one of the sandwiches at our table and never picked it up behind my seat. Would maybe come back here for a drink due to the convenience of location but probably wouldn't come back for food.

Yelp
Stopped here for lunch after visiting Georgetown and its small but I love the patio on the creek. Their mimosas are cool it's an ice cube of orange or pineapple and pretty flowers and they pour over the Prosecco. I got the duck pot pie and it was not bad I wish it had a little more gravy type filling inside it was mostly like roasted Vegis and meat with puff pastry over but flavors were nice. My guest got the grilled Caesar and liked.

Yelp
Excellent restaurant! Food options - 5 Stars Food wait time - 5 Stars (took 10 min for a filet and brie puff pastry) Food presentation - 5 Stars Food taste - 5 stars Food portion - 5 stars I stopped in on a snowy night after some car trouble and bad road conditions. To my surprise, I got a delicious meal in this small restaurant in Georgetown, CO. I was expecting a diner or truck stop as my only options so I was very grateful and pleasantly surprised. I ordered the bacon wrapped filet that came with whipped mashed potatoes and tri colored carrots in a wine sauce. I ordered the filet medium well and it was perfectly cooked. The bacon was crispy and the steak was grilled to perfection and had that charcoal grill flavor. The wine sauce was just enough to dip each steak bite in and leave me wanting more. No good chef slathers sauce on anything. Just like a good performer, always leave them wanting just a bit more LOL. There was more meat than potatoes which is always something I appreciate. Our bodies need more meat than starch. It cheapens a dish to heap up starch on the plate and make the meat and veggies look skimpy. The carrots were roasted to perfection. The Brie in puff pastry usually comes with truffle honey but they were out so I was offered a pepper jam. It was delicious. As you can see from the photos I practically licked my plate. I forgot to take a before photo but there is a photo with my last few bites. Enjoy if you stop and eat here!

Yelp
Stopped here after fishing in the area. I got the burger and it was very flavorful. It is one of the best burgers I've had in Colorado! The staff is friendly/courteous and we were immediately seated on a Saturday afternoon. Definitely will eat here again soon!

Yelp
I happened to be staying right across the street at the lodge, and after hiking one of the big mountains in the area, just wanted to grab dinner quickly. I was very impressed with the food and the beer selection. The dining section is large and accommodating. The staff acted in unison, tending to people, even if they were not the primary server. The bison was not only delicious, but beautifully served. I left quite satisfied..

Yelp
We stumbled by this place after going white water rafting...so we were hungry! The food was surprisingly fresh and tasty. We enjoyed the Brussels sprouts, hamburgers, vegan burger and arugula salad. 4 stars bc the shrimp on the Sadaf was a bit over cooked. Otherwise everything else was great!

Yelp
We Ate there for 2nd time tonight it was perfect just like last time this time I had ribeye which was incredible. I'm pretty picky About ribeyes or prime rib. This steak was perfect.! Can't wait to go back again. Service was excellent as well

Yelp
Pretty good food. I had their filet mignon and it was cooked to perfection. This is a small town restaurant, nothing fancy, no frills, but good food and friendly staff. Knocked off a star because they were out of four menu items, one of which was the reason I wanted to go there in the first place: Taos meatloaf.
google avatar

Joy Q.

Yelp
Friendly service and spacious seating. However, food was pretty middling. Had a salad and sandwich with fries on the side.

Yelp
We stopped in Georgetown for a quick bite to eat heading back from a ski day; for a small mountain town restaurant it blew my expectations away. The menu is really unique and everything looked good. Brussel sprouts had this citrusy sauce that was to die for, and I even drizzled on my sandwich. The rabbit and antelope sausage was really well done in a creative way. Plus, they have a great selection of beers that hit the spot. Great lunch on the heated patio, staff was wonderful, and by the time we finished up we saved an hour on traffic down i70. Can't wait to come back to try dinner!

Yelp
Clean and seems well managed. waitress Sierra was outstanding. Ordered cheeseburger was perfect. Yes I said perfect. Green chile dip was also very good. Highly recommended.

Yelp
Went to Coopers based on the reviews. Here's our experience: Service: slow and spotty. It seemed like the servers had table scattered inside and out so they were moving around quickly but didn't return to ask if everything was ok. We ordered some fries and they didn't come out until we were completely Finished with our meal. Food: got the duck poutine fries. The portion was mediocre. I mean, even if you skimp on the duck, adding a pile of fries would make it look bigger while adding very little food cost. Burger: good quality but we asked for medium rare and got well done. No one ever came to check so we just ate it. The side of fries, again, was mediocre. Probably 20 shoe string fries total. Grilled romaine: basic, not overly flavorful but cooked perfectly. Prices: high for the quantity of food

Yelp
Very good menu, creative flavor combos, nice decor, good service and a full bar. We stopped in after skiing and shared a duck confit pot pie and a grilled romaine salad which had a very good vinaigrette. Will go back

Yelp
Great food, and service. Highly recommend sitting on their back patio. Manager visited our table, which I feel is always important. We also had their creme brûlée for dessert, and I definitely recommend saving room for it!
google avatar

Yelp
Great spot to make a pit stop going up or down the mountain. The food is so good (especially anything with duck) and the staff are great. Pull off I70 relax and enjoy.

Dan C.

Yelp
Food was OK, service was "meh", servers were spending more time chatting with locals than paying attention to customers.

Yelp
FINALLY! Y'all, the struggle has been real trying to eat at this restaurant. Everytime I'm in the area or plan on eating here, it's either closed or by reservation only. Well, finally, we made it and it did not disappoint! Service was great and friendly. The interior was pretty small, but they do have a heated patio for dining as well. Buffalo Chicken Dip. THE perfect indication for what was to come. Although a bit skimpy, it was delicious. It had just the right amount of creaminess and spice, plus the crustini had the perfect amount of crunch and softness. Taos Meatloaf. My mom enjoyed it and I sampled it as well. It's really good stuff and a big portion. Slow Cooked Herbed Chicken. I'm not even joking, this was probably the juiciest and moistest chicken I've ever had. And the flavor was to die for. Not to mention the broccolini and mashed potatoes were the perfect combination. Spicy Pickle Shot. It was a surprise for sure, not because it was strong, but because it was actually sweet. Tasted like a bread and butter pickle with a spicy kick. Not my favorite. Yes, it's on the pricier side, but you can definitely tell it's top quality and made with expertise. Plus, there are burgers and such that are more affordable if you don't want to spend too much. I will absolutely be back as there are many enticing items on the menu and I know I'll get great food and service.

Jean F.

Yelp
Great food, service, cocktails and menu. Able to seat our large party of 8 with same day notice. Great homemade kettle potato chips with Chile dip as a starter. Highly recommend!! Only

Yelp
Loved this place. Great ambiance, everyone was attentive and nice. Food was AMAZING. ordered their cooper burger (I think that's what it was called) added goat cheese, medium well burger...WOW. the flavor on this burger was to die for. Fries were crispy and fresh. We sat outside by the creek which was pretty relaxing.

Yelp
Had lunch here while I was in Colorado last week, started our meal with the Brussel sprouts, they were delicious, finished with the duck pot pie, it was so good, the crust was perfection, I could really go for one right now

Yelp
This place was seriously fantastic. We came for a late lunch after skiing at Loveland. My son and I have been trying a grain free diet the past few weeks, and they were happy to make accommodations as needed. My chicken salad was very tasty (I ordered the sandwich without the croissant) and the accompanying hand cut fries were well above average. The Brussels sprouts were seriously next level and I gladly would have eaten the entire order myself, but alas I was sharing with my wife. She also insisted on ordering some truffle fries which were excellent as well. My wife enjoyed her salad, which I did not try. My kids also enjoyed their burger and Mac and cheese. Service was great. We'll be back!
google avatar

Lakoda M.

Yelp
The service was immaculate the servers & bartenders were nice etc etc. but the food was not all that great I ordered a burger that tasted like meatloaf mostly and was wet and sloppy. The ambiance was really cool too other than some out of the ordinary covers for light cords. I would give you all 4 stars but there was a grammatical error in the menu :)

Erin G.

Yelp
My husband and I had planned a little weekend getaway from Denver that aligned with Georgetown's Christmas market. Because my husband's vegan, we were checking out restaurants as we planned, at least 2 months prior. On the online menu then and still today, Cooper's on the Creek had listed the vegan jackfruit pot pie. My husband was so excited for this since most vegan options in the mountain towns are an afterthought. Upon arriving to our reservation last night, the vegan pot pie was no longer on the menu. When we asked our serve, we were informed it had been removed. In its place was a portobello mushroom stuffed with quinoa for $21. What my husband received looked like a micro-mushroom with barely any quinoa. The plate was mostly arugula. I ordered the chicken plate which was only $1 more than my husband's plate and had substantially more food. It was extremely disappointing to not only have the menu be incorrect online but to then get an overly-priced, mediocre dish in its place. My chicken plate was fine. The chicken was a bit under-seasoned and I would have liked more broccolini. The ambiance was cozy and rustic. Our service was fine. Please make sure your menu online reflects what it's available in the restaurant.

Yelp
Anniversary trip. Driving through Georgetown because it looked like a quaint town. During our drive thru, we got hungry. So we stopped in. Cozy atmosphere. Fun to see all the old pics from the town. Nice staff. Helpful and attentive. Food: I got the duck pot pie. It was under seasoned. Needed more salt and pepper. Once I did that, it was spot on. Very good. My wife got house salad & cauliflower curry soup. Salad was very beautifully presented and tasty. The soup was flavorful & creamy with a little spicy kick. So, quite obvious, the chef knows what he's doing in the kitchen. Why 4-stars? Well, the prices were a bit high. I know everything is high nowadays, but this is more or less comfort food. It should be priced lower, imo. Combine this this with the under seasoning and 4-stars is as high as I can go. I'd return and recommend.

Taso A.

Yelp
We just had dinner here 3 burgers and fries. Well we ordered the burgers medium they came out burnt well done ,but how can you mess up the fries? Serve them to a customer so well done, burnt hard no taste of the truffle. But besides the food I couldn't get over the response the manager gave me. Quote "probably what happened was someone else had your order and you had theirs" and said it with a smile. I'm sure I gave him a smile after I spent $200 at this place, manager didn't give a s...t. That's why a gave a1star.

Amanda G.

Yelp
Just sending a note to the owners that it ruins the beautiful patio environment when your staff drags the chairs and slams them down into stacks, over and over again. We've also been waiting about 30 minutes to order a drink and app. Great ambiance and food outside of those things that ruined it.
google avatar

Madi H.

Yelp
I came here for a birthday dinner and it was so lovely. The back room is heated and has a view of the creek, which you could lightly hear through the window. Food and drinks were timely and delicious. Definitely a mix of folks who come for nice dinners, bar food, and anything in between, but overall a cute gem in a cute mountain town!
google avatar

Yelp
Really nice menu. Four of us each orderes something different including an appetizer and a dessert to share. We loved every bite of every dish. The server was good and the atmosphere bout on the patio overlooking the creek was lovely. No complaints.

Yelp
Survives because there aren't other options around! Ridiculous parking layout! Dirty bathrooms Limited menu

Yelp
Banana Foster Cheesecake was absolutely insane! So good! As far as everything else goes, we felt very underwhelmed. Dishes were okay- but nothing mind blowing. I personally think things were overpriced for the area- which also isn't all that. Super friendly service and great little spot.

Lanette G.

Yelp
They were so helpful. We had reservations. They seated us immediately. WE had a 1 year old who was getting tired. They helped us to order quickly. Brought the food, the to go boxes and the check all very quickly. The food was good. The Ambiance was great as we were seated by the fireplace.

Yelp
Let me just say that out of our three day stay in nearby Silver Plume we ate at Cooper's... 3 times. It was delicious! The first night my boyfriend and I were served by Ryan, who was awesome. We ordered a southern mule (which comes in a handmade mule glass that you'll be charged for if you steal it. So, like with literally anywhere else, please do not steal), Taos meatloaf (green chile, sharp cheddar, with hatch chile sauce, grilled broccolini and roasted garlic mashed potatoes) and the Zen burger (caramelized onion, goat cheese, meyer lemon jalapeno preserves, arugula) and finished with creme brulee. The Taos meatloaf was good and so interesting! The spices were like nothing I've ever had before. Taste was 10/10. The only critique I have of that dish is that I would have liked a slightly bigger portion of mashed potatoes, but that's me being nitpicky. Now, to the star. The Zen burger. Can I curse in yelp reviews? Holy f*ck you guys. I literally moaned after the first bite. Hands down, literally no competition, the absolute best burger I've ever had. I can't even describe it to you, please just experience it for yourself. The second time we went was for a very quick lunch where we split the duck poutine (which they were out of the night before, but we knew we had to try because everything else was so tasty) and the green chile dip with homemade chips. Again, absolutely delicious. The next day we went and each got the Zen burger again, because we were leaving the area and knew it would be our last chance. Chef of Coopers, if you're reading this, please reach out to me and let me know how you make the lemon jalapeno preserves! Please, please, please. (Also, they have a stellar bourbon selection. Lots of Buffalo Trace, including Pappy's!)

Yelp
Romantic, gorgeous table, pretty good food. The floors were really sticky as though the mopping had not gone well.

Yelp
Place is awesome great staff, killer selection of beers and food. Worth the stop 100%

Yelp
I always read reviews to see what the bad ones are. With a place that has almost five we still wanted to give it a try plus there wasn't too many options close by. Upon arrival we were seated fairly quickly but that was about it.... We never had anyone ask for our drinks or even acknowledge us for at least 10 minutes before my husband had to stop someone to ask when someone would come get our drink orders. Once we got our drinks, it'd still be maybe another 10 minutes before we'd get our order taken. Mind you NO ONE ever acknowledged us, asked if we were ok or anything. The prices are high for what we get but I will admit that often burgers have no seasoning and thus surprisingly did. Overall bad experience and if you read the reviews, the main issue is just being ignored. I get it can be busy but some acknowledgment would be cool. Or sorry for the delay.... But nothing.
google avatar

Alexa G.

Yelp
We waited about 25 minutes for a table during a busy weekend afternoon. Once we were seated the server was super busy but still attentive. The food also took awhile but it was very tasty! We were also pretty hungry so probably would have eaten anything at that point. Overall, a good experience. I would recommend calling ahead if you can since you'll probably end up waiting awhile.

Jake W.

Yelp
I had ordered the duck pot pie and my wife ordered the filet. The filet was cooked perfectly, and tasted wonderful. The pastry of the duck pot pie was cooked well. While the duck was tender, it lacked flavor. The sauce of the pie had decent flavor, but it was under sauced. They charge twice for cherry cokes. The service was professional and timely. Overall it was overpriced, but given the location it is to be expected.
google avatar

Lacey D.

Yelp
For this review I'll take in count it was towards the end of service. It was a 20 minute wait. We ordered the Tivoli beer only $2 and it had great flavor. Single shots of Jameson,$8 each. We ordered the duck pot pie and cooper burger, with smoked Gouda, and fries. The food came out within average time. By the time the burger came out it was well done instead of medium. The puff pastry on the duck pot pie was a little overdone. The taste of the burger was ok, but definitely didn't have enough seasoning on the patty. The fries were over salted and hard. The duck pot pie had good flavor, needed more seasoning but was tasty.

Janice S.

Yelp
Good service and Good burgers but it was too chilly in the restaurant and we had to keep our jackets on.
google avatar

Sandy R.

Yelp
Good tastes very good. I love this ambiance everyone is very nice and attentive. Pricing is on the steep side but the food is high quality. I got the filet mignon dish. Potatoes were I don't even like potatoes. Veggies and dish had a glaze/sauce over it that was delicious. My siblings got burgers and they looked great - they really liked it. My husband got the elk bolognese. He really like it, I was too "scared" to try it. It's a local fave we'll be back when we have a pretty penny to spend (but that's pretty much all restaurants in Georgetown).
