Not super fancy, and the gift shop was closed. It was a rainy day and towards the evening, nice cool ride with pretty scenery. Saw some gators, and the guide answered everything we asked. My kids really enjoyed it and it wasn't super long (great for short attention spans)

Christopher Guilford

Google
Should have gone earlier in the day. Only saw 2 gators and they were fleeing glimpses. Been on better airboat rides up in Mississippi and Louisiana. Don't waste the money here. Go to a bigger place where they have shows and the kids will have a better time.

I am visiting Florida from Pennsylvania, came down to do Disney and see some family. While seeing family they said when I was going down to the keys to stop by and do an air boat ride. My cousin made it sound awesome, he said while on the airboat you would be going the mud would be flying up and getting on you. But u don’t care since your having such a good time!!Then he says bye the time u get off, the mud has dried and u can just smack your clothes and the dirt would fall right off, leaving nothing on your clothes. THAT is not the experience you will have here, This is more like the speed of the tram car on the boardwalk. Your not going to be going very fast. It’s more of a class field trip. The captain even mentioned who has been here for there 5th grade class trip. AT THAT MOMENT I knew this isn’t going fast at all!! How could it be, it’s for school trips. The captain was informative on about the river and Everglades, but it was such a bore. Saw maybe 2 gators, a turtle and birds. The place with all the animals in cages, not the happiest. You can a discount on Groupon. But u will have to pay $8 for the park fee no matter what. U can use the ticket for other parks. That are the same price for 5 days. But still not worth it. Go somewhere else to get that action packed feel.

Google
It was great experience overall.. no advance booking was needed. Walk ins are welcome. Be prepare to sign the waivers before boarding boat. Did not see many animals but saw four American alligators and a few different types of birds.

Google
An amazing way to see the Everglades. We lucked out with amazing weather but our tour guide Orin was so welcoming and educational. We took a private tour and appreciated being able to get into tight spots and see wildlife like alligators, anhinga, and turtles. Even the little tour area was a great spot to wander about and pet snakes and gators while waiting for the boat to get ready. I would highly recommend this experience and vendor to anyone who comes to the Everglades.

Google
Looked on Groupon and found Coopertown Airboat Tour. 2 tickets for 40 minutes cost $41 on Groupon. We then had a National Park pass, so we didn’t have to pay the $8 fee. Place is off the side of the road, parking is limited. No restroom just portables outside, place has WIFI, some alligators, turtles, and lizards in the exhibit. It rained our whole tour, it rains in Florida so bring an extra pair of clothes, water proof bag for items, a rain jacket, sunglasses, sunscreen, and a towel. We got to see 5-6 alligators, it was a nice simple experience!

Google
Great atmosphere and awesome prices. We did see an alligator in the wild, but be aware that this is not a tour where the airboat goes very fast, it stays at a steady pace and loops between the vegetation. You can pet a baby alligator at the beginning.

Google
Quintessential Everglades airboat experience. Bonus points: they're dog friendly. We saw plenty of alligators on the airboat ride. There was also an animal demonstration and some animal enclosures at the departure point. You have to pay the national park fee upon admission (unless you have the NP Annual Pass). I like this loophole regarding dogs. Pets aren't allowed in the Everglades wilderness if you go through the NP park gates near Homestead. Through Coopertown; they can accompany you on the boat (unlike through the NPS).

Yelp
Looking for something fun and close to the airport to do before our flight home I found Coopertown Airboats. The great part about this place is that you can book in advance, for a private tour, or walk up and join a group tour. The group tour is about 40 minutes long and we didn't have to wait long before they had enough people for a tour. While you're waiting you can visit the resident gators, turtles and snakes. I like that the boat wasn't stuffed with guests and even though it was a group tour everyone had plenty of space. Our guide was great, he was knowledgeable, fun, and kept the whole group engaged. The Everglades were absolutely beautiful, and we got the chance to see alligators up close, which was definitely the highlight. The staff was friendly and professional, and everything was well-organized from start to finish. If you're looking for a fun adventure in the Everglades, close to Miami, I highly recommend this tour. Just one tip if you have an annual pass for the National Parks make sure to bring it and save $8 per ticket on the park fee.

Yelp
Coopertown The Original Airboat offers an unforgettable Everglades adventure at a fantastic value! I purchased a Groupon for about $20, which was a great deal. Keep in mind, there's an additional $8 National Park fee you'll need to pay onsite. The airboat ride was thrilling, providing stunning views of the Everglades' natural beauty. Our guide was knowledgeable and engaging, sharing fascinating insights about the ecosystem and pointing out wildlife. During the 45-minute ride over Thanksgiving weekend, we spotted three alligators. While I had hoped to see more wildlife, just gliding across the wetlands in an airboat was an amazing experience on its own. Although "Touristy" the green screen picture with the CGI alligators was pretty neat as well and worth the extra $20 for the picture printout and a magnet. This is a nice outing to try once, whether you're a nature enthusiast or simply looking for a unique adventure in Florida. Highly recommend it for the scenery, the thrill, and the excellent value!

Yelp
Took a trip to the Everglades while my family was in town and we found Coopertown Airboats on Groupon for a deal. When driving towards this area, you pass by a lot of different signs for airboat tours. Coopertown's is the most unsuspecting and plain, plus they had a lot of construction around there at the time which made the entrance pretty confusing. When we arrived, we had a hard time finding the entrance to where we could find the airboats but it was a little past the Coopertown Restaurant. There was only one girl working the "Photobooth" area and she told us to wait for someone at the kiosk labeled "Airboat tours". We waited for a while as she just sat there. I get that she wasn't in charge of that but she could've been a bit more helpful. After a while, she called the other girl over to help and she seemed like the heat took everything out of her and couldn't be bothered. Although not overly friendly, she was helpful enough. Once you check in and pay the extra National Park entrance fee (after showing her our Groupon), we signed waivers and headed inside the gate. We took photos that they sell you at the end of your trip. They gave us a boat number and had to wait for it. While waiting, we went to go see the gator show going on. It was an okay show and fairly informative. Once our boat arrived, they called us over. It was soooo hot, going at peak time in June around noon time. Overall, the boat tour was so cool. We only saw one gator but I thoroughly enjoyed the airboat overall. Our "driver" was super funny, informative, and drove the boat so well. Overall, a good tour to go on but curious to see how the other ones are like.

Yelp
I came back to give them another try, and this time, they were quite excellent. The person who takes the money at the front could be a little more pleasant, but considering who she deals with all day long, I guess I can't really blame here for being a bit surly. And she does ask if you have a National Park membership, which gives you a little discount. The trip starts with watching the show, which was interesting. They have an albino Burmese python on display, which raised its head up when I approached because I am parseltongue, apparently. They also have a baby alligator that you can feel the tail. I can't remember the young man's name, other than he said if you didn't like the show, his name was Bobby. So, him. Sebastian was our airboat captain, and he was quite excellent. Due to the rainy weather, we only saw one alligator out in the water. For me, that was fine as I've been on rides before. For anyone on their first trip, it was unfortunate, but Sebastian can't help where the alligators are. All-in-all, it was quite well done and we had a very good time. I would come here again. I can't comment on the restaurant because we didn't go inside it this time. I'm still not interested in eating alligators.

Yelp
We had a little bit of a hesitancy when committing to an airboat tour, but they definitely exceeded our expectations at Coopertown. They're one of only two companies that are able to actually operation within Everglades National Park's boundaries. They've been doing it for more than 75 years. Make sure to check Groupon and see if you're lucky enough to book an airboat ride for 4 for only $72 + the National Park entrance fee. No need to make reservations as they offer tours from 9:00a to 4:30p every day. Sam was our guide and he was outstanding. He was funny, energetic, knowledgeable, and had a passion for his job. If you're there during the summer, I would highly recommend taking a very early or very late tour as the wildlife is likely to be more active. Don't let the roadside zoo vibe of this place fool you, you will quickly realize what an amazing experience they provide once you get out in the sawgrass with the swamp puppies.

Yelp
Great experience! We came as team on Xmas day. Our tour guy was funny and knowledgable about the alligators.

Yelp
Super fun experience! We went on the airboat and were able to see 3 alligators, some turtles, birds, and a ton of lily pads! The guide was very knowledgeable and made some jokes along the way! Before the tour we were able to see the alligators they had on site as well as touch a python after hearing insightful information from Jeff! The gift shop has really cute things such as alligators, turtles, stuffed animals, and other nice souvenirs. We bought a few for our kids, they loved them! We tried some alligator and frog legs at the small restaurant they had, that was an experience in itself. I don't think I would eat it again, but it's definitely something everyone should try at least once. *check Groupon, they offer discounted prices for coopertown!

Yelp
Very friendly staff and fun experience, if you planning to visit everglades Air boat ride, try this place and you won't be disappointed. We didn't try their restaurant but heard it also really good.

Yelp
Had a really fun time at the Coopertown Airboats this morning! We elected to get there early to be on the first boat (9am), and really enjoyed the tour. We saw lots of alligators, a few turtles, and several different kinds of birds over the course of the 45 minute tour. Our tour guide was friendly and had some good jokes that kept everyone entertained and lighthearted. The opportunity to see the mini 'zoo' in advance and have our young boys hold a baby alligator was also a thrill for them. Would definitely come back!

Yelp
This was the highlight of our trip to the Everglades. Would absolutely go again. Seeing the park by boat was absolutely breathtaking. We saw an alligator swimming around the boat and the guide narrated perfectly. Check Groupon for a deal to save some money on the ride.
google avatar

Jamie S.

Yelp
10/10 recommend! They have a store and restaurant on site so you can grab a beer or sangria for the trip. We got super lucky and were able to see 3 alligators! Our guide was Juan and he was so amazing- he has so much knowledge about the alligator and the Everglades. Just a great time with a great boat of people!
google avatar

Jamie G.

Yelp
What a great experience! John, our airboat tour guide was phenomenal! He was very knowledgeable and took us on the ride of our life, zipping in, around, and out of places! He was also comical and kept us entertained. But, don't let the airboat tour be your only reason for going. Jeff was our guide for the show. He was friendly and knowledgeable about all of the wildlife in the area--we were able to hold a python and pet small alligator; very cool. I'd definitely recommend this tour and give them a 10/10 rating! Oh, and check Groupon for cheaper tickets;).

Yelp
So much fun, got to enjoy the Everglades, see some wildlife including alligators.guide was funny and professional. Got a good price through Groupon

Yelp
Pretty cool. They had a little show and after u can take pictures with the baby alligator. Also there's a couple of alligators and snakes you can see. We did the airboat & saw 3 alligators! Pretty cool.

Yelp
Sam was an awesome tour guide! Very entertaining with the drifting and our tour went over the allotted 40 minutes. Successfully summoned 3 alligators along the route. Highly recommended, thank you so much!

Yelp
Guided tour on the "River of Grass" I found a Groupon deal for this Coopertown Airboat tour. No reservation required. There is an additional $5 per visitor National Park Entrance fee payable when we redeemed our Groupon offer. We used our Annual National Park Pass. Coopertown is one of three authorized airboat businesses that offer professional airboat tours inside Everglades National Park so I guess they can charge for that entrance fee. I always bring my pass with me anyways. The $80 pass already paid for itself when we originally purchased it in Haleakalā NP. We redeemed our ticket and signed a waiver. We had a little bit of a wait time so we browsed inside the gift shop. Oh, we almost missed the wildlife exhibit but I was able to take a pic with a small gator. They only allowed for guests to touch the tail. The gift shop was a good size offering apparel, souvenir merchandise and snacks. We purchased a few souvenir shirts after our tour but had to get some ear plugs for the tour because the airboats are LOUD. Even my Apple Watch warned me LoL! Our tour guide was a newbie, just moved from TX to FL three months ago in Sept... and he looked like Jared Leto with the beard and sunglasses LoL! Nice guy and knowledgeable and funny. We did spot a couple of gators, we were lucky. These animals are not paid actors so they don't just show up on demand LoL! The tour was about 40 mins. This is not my first boat tour in the Everglades but my first ever airboat ride. Pretty educational and informative. Good deal with the Groupon. Review #2793

Yelp
this place is more like a 4.5 out of 5 stars. highly recommended! I was looking for things to do in miami, and stumbled upon this place. I was pleasantly surprised they also offered groupons, which is a steal if you ask me. Glad i took the chance on groupon and selected this ride/tour. There is an additional $5 per visitor National Park Entrance fee payable when redeemeding the groupon offer. We took the first airboat ride out into the everglades and i think it was the best choice. Our tour guide mentioned that later airboat rides produce too much noise and scare the gators. So come early to ensure you get to see the most gators out in the everglades. Before the airboat ride, you'll sit on bleachers to learn about snakes and gators for about 20 mins. They also brought out a small gator for everyone to touch. On the actual tour, you spend like 45 to 1 hour in the everglades. it was so nice to get fresh air and they take you to their own alleyway where you'll see different plants, birds and gators. I would recommend wearing mosquito repellant and sunscreen.

Yelp
We saw 4 alligators on our airboat tour. I'm going to be honest. I wanted the airboat to do donuts and it doesn't do that. It's a classic airboat tour. It's relaxing and great for storytelling and taking in the vibe of the place. Not airboat donut time. This place has been in business since 1945. Yes, you read that right: 1945. It's worth the trip -- Our tour guide was great and it was certainly relaxing. I came here based in a NYTimes review.
google avatar

Aracely R.

Yelp
Their services from the counter to the guide stunk. And to boot we saw no alligators. Such a waste of money. Take your money elsewhere. No pictures to show because we saw NOTHING!

Yelp
Amazing tour-guide . We bought our tickets via Groupon and there entire process of redeeming the voucher was starightforward. . !

Yelp
We went with a Groupon discount for abt 15$ a pop. It's a pretty usual airboat tour for the northern Everglades boundary. The beginning you checkin, sign your waiver and you are set to go. It was seamless and we were directed to a wildlife exhibit with 2-4 gators and a python in captivity. They also have a baby alligator which you can pet and take photos with. After abt 10-15 min at the wildlife exhibit we got on our airboat. It's loud, hot sun but enough cool breeze when the boat is zooming by the ecosystem. We saw abt 4 gators and a couple of birds. It's very loud where you can hear the host when only stopped. And that's also a good time for photos. Overall fun hour spent. Carry enough water, sunscreen and they even allow beers. (We didn't know that ahead of time)

Yelp
Having an out of town guest and wanting to show him some "truly Florida" sites, we decided to take him on an airboat tour of the Glades. Though having previously gone with another provider, we booked with Coopertown as they have been around a very long time and they had an excellent special price for 4 of us. Justin our guide was excellent and as he whisked us around river of grass stopped to point out a variety of the flora and fauna and yes, including a few gators. It was a fun trip for us all. There is a brief wildlife show which though small, was informative. If you plan on taking this tour, you might want to consider either purchasing earplugs or stuffing some cotton in your ears as the engines of the airboats are quite loud. There are headphones provided for children passengers.

Andrea B.

Yelp
Loved the Captain. Every knowledgeable of the Everglades and the nature. . We even saw an alligator! The boat ride was so much fun and it went at a faster speed than expected, which we enjoyed.
google avatar

Jacqueline T.

Yelp
We really wanted to do an airboat tour when we were in the Everglades, so we picked this one. The tour was $20/person which I thought was reasonable. The tour was about an hour long. We really enjoyed the tour. It was fun going out into the swamp and we saw quite a few alligators. One alligator swam right next to our boat. The guide was entertaining. I rated a bit lower because their website said they were taking Covid-19 precautions (this was back in the winter at the peak of the pandemic) and from what we saw they took none. None of their employees wore masks. Their tours were packed full. The waiting area was a zoo. There was no attempt at social distancing. At least it was outside. Overall, their pandemic considerations was my only complaint. If you're fully vaccinated now, this is a good tour.

Yelp
We had a great time this afternoon but on our first airboat tour of the Everglades! The place is just a little beat-up spot off a very busy road in the middle of no where, but it was easy to find and the people were super friendly! I highly recommend stopping to use the bathroom BEFORE you actually arrive (maybe 5 minutes before the map takes you there). There are plenty of port-a-potties there... just not what I would have wanted my 3-year old to try. They warn you about the lack of signal there, so we were prepared with a screen shot of our Groupon, but get there with plenty of time to fill out their online waiver--for which they only have one screen available if you can't get a phone signal. Once you're in, you get to see some the gators in cages and the invasive bias in boxes. Im still bot sure how I feel about their enclosures... but it was cool to see and learn about them. I appreciate that they provide protective hearing gear for the little ones. We managed to survive without earplugs, but know if you've got sensitive ears, you can hit plugs or bring your own! They did not warn us about that prior to arrival. Once on the boat, though, we all have a great experience gliding through the glades at a good clip & even "drifting" around the corners! We were lucky to have you encountered three gators that came right up to the boat! And we even hot lessons on the local fauna in the glades. I'd come back with visitors!

Yelp
ANIMAL ABUSE PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE! Multiple animals being abused at the Coopertown establishment. There is a 2 year old alligator in a 5x2 (if that) wood box. It is locked closed at all times. They only take the alligator out to be pet by all the visitors likely coating it in sunscreen, oils and perfume. They don't rinse it off after and put it directly back into the water in its little box likely leading to it soaking in all those oils and harmful chemicals. We asked how long the alligator is in there and they said "until 5 years old or when it's 5 feet long, whichever comes first". We also asked why they keep it in that little box and not a bigger cage or if it ever comes out and they said word for word, "it stays in there because until it produces eggs it is of NO USE TO US, so we keep it in there because it doesn't need more room". There is a large yellow Bermese python in another tiny enclosed wood box. Only enough room for the snake to remain coiled up with no straw, no stimulation, nothing. Just wood. Unsure if it was even alive as it didn't move. The turtles are in a tiny cage with just enough for a small shallow pool that is absolutely full of algae. The turtle shells are also coated in algae as well likely from not being able to go much place else than the shallow algae pool. There is an adult alligator in another small enclosure with one shallow pool that also takes up majority of the cage. The pool is also full of algae. There are two other adult alligators on the property which they say one is 80 years old. Every cage is small, unclean and lacking any stimulation. These poor animals are suffering and the staff could care less! We asked what they do with the animals later on and they said they're giving them to "researchers". This means these animals are abused their entire lives, it's criminal. This place needs to be shut down. Please file a complaint to the state noting the things you see if you do attend.

Yelp
The manager, Patricia, is super rude, ignorant, fake and overall has no idea what she's doing. This company used to be great and she is running it TO THE GROUND! She's horrible and every time I've made the mistake of going there, I realize this more and more. I wish i could give this less than one star.

Yelp
Fun and absolutely breathtaking!! We got a private boat tour with just our party which made it more personal without feeling overcrowded or rushed. Our tour guide had so much knowledge and answered all our questions. He really took his time so we can take pictures and enjoy the scenery. Take some time to enjoy the gift shop afterwards and make sure to bring cash and leave a tip!!

Simon C.

Yelp
This was relatively well rated, but I don't really know why. There was very little talk about the Everglades in general, we saw one alligator, which is fine, as they are wild creatures etc., but no talk about the environment, the types of animals that are there, he talked about an alligator for 2 minutes and a fruit and that was it. The tour was not value for money in my opinion.
google avatar

Brian R.

Yelp
We were in the Miami area for 24 hours on a flight overly. Plenty of time for the very simple drive out to the Everglades to see the fine folks at Coopertown. The dock side team was extremely professional and our pilot was personable and full of info! I learned a ton even in our short visit! The airboat ride, is fast and fun and totally safe! I believe you get what you pay for but I wish it had been longer. Glad we went, great fun for the whole family!! Also wanted to add that there were ample opportunities for hand sanitizing before getting on board the airboat. Absolutely nothing negative to say.

Albert M.

Yelp
I really love the ride in the airboat and I learned a lot about the Florida Everglades.

Yelp
We were trying to kill some time before having to go to the airport so I booked a family airboat outing for 5. I wasn't expecting much since I had done an airboat ride before. But my fiancé didn't come and he'd never been on one....so off we went! I really wish I could remember our tour guide's name because he really went above and beyond. He was SUPER funny, drifted like a pro and took time to thoroughly explain quite a bit about the habitat, ecology, and of course ALLIGATORS! I do remember he's from Texas, is 38 and acts like he's 12, hahaha! He, alone, was worth the 5 star rating. They started the tour off with pictures (you can purchase these at the end and they are super funny!), then lead into an informative chat about boas, gators, the Everglades, etc. You could even touch a baby reptile at the end! We saw 5-6 large alligators in the wild and two were even mating! Our guide says he'd never seen that before so I'm glad we were part of his experience as well. The restaurant and gift shop were small but large enough. I regret being too full from breakfast to try the frog legs and gator bites! We ultimately purchased two stuffed animals and a small toy for my daughter, plus the pictures and keychain. ::::don't forget to tip your guide! They work damn hard!:::
google avatar

Sally L.

Yelp
You know how most "tours" are really touristy, and I assumed this would be no different. BUT, let me preface that we booked a private tour. So maybe our experience was different, but none the less we had an amazing time! Our tour guide was new and had just recently started, he was from Texas and wore snake cowboy boots. He was funny, super knowledgeable and he answered any questions we had. He kept us interested and entertained including my 12 and 15yr old boys. There were some really cool highlights from the boat ride that we will all remember and get to talk about for years to come.
google avatar

Yelp
Great tour. It's a little short, very informative. If it was 10 minutes longer, it'd be a five-star but you will enjoy riding on the fan boat. Please know it's very loud. They will give you cotton for your ears. The boat can go over anything. We crashed into another fan boat and it was fun. Lol get your ticket on Groupon you will save a few dollars. Drive to it and don't take a shuttle. Get the frog legs. Please get the frog legs.

Samantha C.

Yelp
May be affordable and a decent tour, but the wait times are ridiculous. We waited in the heat for a boat with our 1.5 year old toddler for about 90 minutes. I'd recommend trying a different tour company if you don't want to wait or in a rush.

Alan S.

Yelp
Needed to check the Everglades airboat tour off the bucket list. Glad I chose this place to do it. Nikki at the ticket counter went above and beyond to make sure we got the experience we were looking for. Friendly, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic. She was great - and we weren't even on the airboat yet! Kevin was our airboat driver/operator/tour guide. Fun personality, spot on driver/operator, and excellent tour guide. He made the trip exciting and informative WooHoo! Great job Coopertown
google avatar

Yelp
This is one of the must try experiences in Miami. Air boat started fast then slowed down on the way back as the guide was explaining. Friendly service. Don't forget to grab a souvenir. Totally worth it.

Yelp
We decided on go to Coopertown Airboats based on price and ratings. My first impression coming up to the front reception to purchase a package was not very good one to start but we drove an hour to get here. I just wanted to pay for our tours before they closed and starts to rain. I asked how much it was for our party of seven and she mentioned their price with taxes already. As I entered my card in the machine, I remembered that we can use their online discount and I asked about it. She said oh the transaction was about to go through so we can't. Really?! Wow, so nice of her! Geez...She couldn't even stop the transaction to give us their discount or refund me the difference. I mean $2 was not much but their was seven of us and why offer on their website?! I was already disappointed with their customer service but wanted to do the tour for my in-laws since we were here. The tour guides were a little unorganized as some people from a previous group missed their boat so they kicked out a few people from our boat to get the ones that missed their boat to ride with us. I would have been upset if I got kicked out of the boat when it was not our fault for being late! Good thing at least our tour guide Sam was funny and cool. He was very informative and we got lucky to see a lot of alligators during our ride. It was a longer tour than I thought. I had fun. I would recommend the tour but make sure you don't miss your boat number to inconvenience others and ask about your discounts ahead of paying. Don't be like me and experience a disappointment. Yelp
Coopertown Airboats has been doing airboat tours of the Florida Everglades for years and a favorite for locals & tourists The staff is very knowledgeable and offer you different type of airboat rides. We decided to do a private tour. With up to 4 people it's a great deal to get that personal and upfront tour of the Everglades. The personal tour last for an hour and you get to go to Locations other then the group tour. I highly recommend this airboat tour!

Yelp
This was an amazing experience from start to finish. We got tickets for the airboat ride through Groupon, and were a bit skeptical of the whole thing because of how affordable it was. I'm so glad we got tickets to do our airboat experience through Cooperstown, because I can't think of a single thing I'd change! TIP: Print your Groupons, because it was beyond difficult to get service in the area to show them via the mobile app. From the moment we got there to the moment we left, the staff was charismatic and attentive. Prior to the airboat you get a fun educational animal show/presentation, where you get to pet snakes and gators, and learn so much about these two fascinating species. This was a surprise to us, as we thought we were only getting the airboat ride. The airboat experience lasted around 45 mins, which we felt was perfect. Our guide, whose name I forgot but I do remember he's from Amsterdam, was the coolest. He was knowledgeable about the Everglades and alligators, which we got lucky and got to see a lot of! At the end, we got to take photos with a baby alligator. You get to take your own photo and thus keep it - they are not pushy about you buying anything. As a local, I can't believe it took me this long to do an airboat ride in Miami! It was a great experience, and we can't wait to do it all over again with this company.

Yelp
**SPOTTY OR NO INTERNET SIGNAL HERE** *If you used Groupon or have your tickets online screenshoot them or print before you come* Ironically, there IS internet inside lol The woman at the window has a dry personality and a no nonsense right- to -the point attitude. I challenge you to make her smile! Bonus if she laughs. Hard working lady, be understanding. We drove back a little ways until we had reception and screen shot the tix, came back and went in. 1. Pay and hang on to the receipts. One is for your records, the other is your ticket 2. Get yer pichur takin and then head on back ovir ta Carlos to learn about the crockodiles and get a critter demonstration. Carlos knows a lot! Ask him anything. He's really funny and very nice. Please tip him. There's a crock out there 3/21/21 he's not part of the show. He got hurt and is just there healing, watch yourself and especially the children. 3. After the demonstration get in line for the boat. Have your tickets ready. I saw a family with a bucket of beer, I guess you can drink on the boat! Nice. 4. Our guide was funny and also knows this place like the back of his hand. I think this would make a really great homeschooling learning opportunity because of the ecosystem, the history, and the wildlife that lives there. Please tip your guide too. They really try their best to make your experience fun. And are quite accommodating. Ere you go!

Yelp
This was our 3rd time at Coopertown Airboats and it was wonderful. We come whenever we are in Florida and love it! The best time to come is during the Spring when it's not so hot. That's when the gators are swimming around the most. Our guides have always been fun, sweet and knowledgable. A great place to take people of all ages :)

Yelp
There are a number of options for airboats but this was the oldest and, in reading some blogs, it seemed like a safe bet. There seem to be a number of discounts on groupon and general searches to get a bit of a discount. Young kids are free, too. The person who greeted us was super friendly and informative when asking about the national park. Then we took the obligatory tourist photo, which we ended up buying in the end because it ended up being that good and that funny. The tour itself started with a talk. I know the lady was new and I sympathize with that but there were a number of pretty straightforward questions asked that I felt she should have been able to answer. I wish she would go back to learn more or follow up on these so she could better inform future groups. Then it was onto the fun part - the air boat. Only I have been on this before - once here in the Everglades and once south of New Orleans. I was excited for the wife and kids. The kids were a little bit timid about it at first but once we got to the canal it slowed down and it was fine. My wife still raves about it, much like I still do from both the previous experiences and this one. What each had in common are: each was fun, each was super informative, and each ended up being funny and memorable. These guides are awesome at driving the both but also know their stuff and are so funny. I can't say enough about the experience. In the end, we ended up seeing more than a handful of alligators, some birds (like the swamp chicken) and turtles. It ended up being one of the highlights of our trip, much like many of the blogs implied.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I had been wanting to take our 4 year old on an airboat ride for a while now so he went on Groupon and got us tickets. Note: there is still a $5 entrance fee but Children under 6 ride and enter free. I've been on an airboat ride before but this place was an entire experience! From the minute we checked in everyone was extremely friendly and kind! I felt like I was in a different planet. We saw a sign that said we could take buckets of beer on the airboat and quickly head over to grab a bucket. It was nice that the adults are able to have a few drinks while the children enjoy themselves; I can't tell you how much I appreciated this! Before the airboat ride began we sat at a mini demonstration with baby gators and snakes. The girl that did this show was great and we were able to pet and take pictures with the animals. After the show it was time for the airboat ride. The airboat ride was fun and we got up close and personal with the gators. Our tour guide called a couple over so that we could get a good look. This is what the tour was all about! Overall this was a really good experience and we had a great day with our little one. Definitely recommend doing this tour!

Yelp
My family came here after buying a Groupon ($65 for 4 people). We visited early on a Saturday afternoon. Robert at the ticket sales booth was warm and welcoming even after a busy morning of them being short staffed. There is an extra $3 Everglades entrance fee, but if you have an Everglades or US National Parks membership (like me! woot woot! Support our national parks!) the fee is waved. Our airboat tour guide was Randy. He was humorous and informative. We had an awesome approx. 45 min ride out in the Everglades. We saw lots of birds and alligators. Afterwards, we could hold a baby alligator and watch a wildlife show (be sure to tip your tour guide. They work hard to give you a good experience). There are food, snacks, and souvenirs available for purchase. You can get a bucket of 5 beers ($20 & some change) and bring it with you on the airboat ride.

Yelp
We went here on a Groupon for being the most cost effective and all the great reviews. And, for our first ever air boat ride, it was great. The guide was very informative about the animals, the plants, and the area overall. Would recommend ear plugs (which they do sell for a couple of bucks in their shop). The only thing keeping this place from being 5 stars is their animal area where they have a few crocs and a snake area looked a little worn and tired. A little bit of upkeep and TLC would go a long way for the optics. Still, a great tour and would definitely recommend.
