Copa De Arbol Beach & Rainforest Resort

We recently stayed at Copa de Arbol as a family with young kids, and it was hands down one of the most memorable trips we've ever taken. The resort strikes a perfect balance between luxury, adventure, and ease, and is ideal for families who want to explore nature and unwind in comfort.||Without even leaving the property, we saw sloths, two kinds of monkeys, agoutis, frogs, toads, and even a rare kinkajou! The resort provides rubber boots so kids (and adults!) can enjoy the self-guided, lush jungle trails looking for animals. A huge highlight for us was exploring some of these same trails at night with a guide. Not to give too many fun surprises away but we saw some critters that glow!!! The beach is beautiful and peaceful, with incredible, deep, swimmable, tide pools full of fish and sea creatures to discover and even tiny octopus! Kayaks, a gorgeous tiered swimming pool which was a fave with the kids, and the charming poolside “shell-bell” for drink service made for endless fun.||Our villa ("Palm #5") was stunning and conveniently close to all amenities. Mealtimes were a treat. There was always a surprise, colorful, fancy drink of the day, which the kids loved. Delicious multi-course meals with warm, personal service. The staff went above and beyond to make our whole family feel welcome and cared for.||Copa de Arbol gave us the perfect mix of adventure, nature, luxury, and relaxation, and we’re already dreaming of going back. Highly recommend for families looking for a truly special experience in Costa Rica.

From beginning to end, Copa de Arbol was exceptional. My spouse and I stayed here for 8 days for our honeymoon, and it was everything we’d imagined and more! The staff there are some of the most thoughtful and accommodating folks in the whole industry. We had some travel mishaps, including a flight that got rescheduled two days before our trip (resulting in a 1-day delay in our arrival to Copa de Arbol), and we were so impressed by how generously and professionally the staff (especially Summer) handled it. Throughout our whole booking experience, communication was consistently proactive, straightforward and prompt!||The property itself is so stunning! The amenities were perfect, and the smaller size resulted in an overall more quiet and individualized experience. Lodgings were beautiful and very clean - aside from the occasional critter (it is the rainforest, after all), we were delighted by the unique and private cabins.||This was such an adventure, and the guided tours & excursions were EXCEPTIONAL! We loved everything we did, but as wildlife enthusiasts, our favorites were the guided night hike, the Corcovado day trip, and the mangroves boat tour! The guides were so knowledgeable and engaging (Isaac and Anthony were both wonderful!), and we felt that we learned and saw so much more than we would have anywhere else. ||We were very appreciative of and impressed by everybody working there. All three receptionists were amazing and helped us maximize our experience and balance the tours so that we had a great mix of adventure and relaxation. The chef & kitchen staff consistently turned out delicious food for all three meals (truly not a single flop), and the bar + restaurant staff (especially Esteban, Henry, Alonso, & Daniel!!) were so kind and welcoming. Additionally, they have some excellent boat captains (esp Daniel) who navigated the wet landings and ocean swells skillfully and smoothly.||Overall so impressed by everything and everyone, 10/10 would stay again!

This is one of the best resorts we have ever been to. The staff is unbelievably kind, thoughtful, attentive, and helpful. One morning we missed the breakfast window and they still brought it to our room. Daniel, Henry, and Alonso were the best wait staff we have ever experienced. The reception staff Lisa and Bryan were exceptional. Lisa knew I liked a certain sauce offered at the restaurant and went out and bought some for us to take home with us. They truly treat you like family here!! Never seen anything like it! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Fantastic stay with friends in an incredible resort. The staff were incredibly kind and willing to help us feel right at home. They truly think of almost everything and did a fantastic job anticipating our needs. The attention to detail was not unnoticed, and we all truly enjoyed our time in this beautiful jewel of a resort. The food was incredible and authentically Costa Rican. The tours and excursions from the resort were well curated which led to wonderful experiences in Corcovado and scuba diving on Isla de Caño. Also, the massage therapist for the resort, Anna, is incredible. It was a special trip for us and we cannot wait to return.

Cops De Arbol has been my family’s favorite vacation destination ever. We have been coming here multiple times every year for the past 10 years and are continuously met with the warmest welcome by its staff and the beautiful jungle. From the exotic wildlife and amazing meals to the stunning beaches and comforting villas, this resort has it all. The staff is extremely consistent with their amazing service and hospitality at the beach, in your villa, and at their restaurant. The villas are so clean and have that luxury vibe you look, while being nestled in the jungle. The immediate beach access makes this resort one of a kind. The nature and all that comes with it greets you each morning and follows you through your day. This beautiful resort is simply pure bliss and relaxation in one of the most secluded and biodiverse parts of Costa Rica. Despite being secluded, they have wonderful amenities, including air conditioning for the hot afternoons. The hospitality of the staff is also wonderful - everyone is so kind, friendly, and helpful. The food is amazing as well - I want to go back already. ||Plenty of tours to do in the area, and the beach that is walking distance from the cabins is wonderful. They also have a pool for those who prefer it. ||I would highly recommend staying on this property if you love nature and biodiversity and want to be in close proximity to it, while enjoying modern comforts and wonderful hospitality.

What can I saw about Copa De Arbol? We came as two best friends to unwind, relax, and have some adventures and I felt like we left a family behind. I was so excited for the beautiful accommodations, the pool, all-inclusive and some activities we had pre-planned but I wasn't expecting to love every single staff member as if they were family there by the time we left. ||Let's start with excursions: we rode horses on the beach and felt like kids again, did a bird watching tour with Alijandra that was delightful (she's so cute and so passionate about nature!), went to Corcovado National Park and saw a Tapir, Anteater, tons of birds, lizards, mushrooms/fungi, and so much. more! We also went on a dolphin watching tour and got to swim in the warmest waters by Isla de Cano....the adventures were amazing!||As for food, after every meal they would ask you what you would like for the next one, so at breakfast we would order lunch, etc. The food was incredible! So so so good, the chefs there are beyond talented and the love they have for cooking shows in every dish! They accommodated your early start days by having your breakfast ready at the time you would choose, and the coffee was always flowing no matter the time of day.||Now for the staff: Albert, Brayan, Greivin, Daniel, Alonso, Henry...lifelong friends! They showed us the true friendliness of Costa Rica, and made us feel like we couldn't ever want for anything. We shared stories of our lives, shared love for nature and experiences, and always had company when we wanted, or quiet times when we needed. They were always there without being overpowering or hovering, but sometimes we would get to just chat and joke around and honestly it made the resort for us. They got to know what drinks we liked, how we took our coffee, and when we needed a laugh! Best staff ever, and I've been to many all-inclusive resorts where I can't remember a single name the day after I leave.||Copa really has something special here, more than a destination it's a community built on what can only be called love and a desire to share a beautiful culture with anyone who visits and is open to listening.||I can't wait to go back, and I wish every one of the staff the best of luck!

Absolutely incredible stay at Copa de Arbol. The scenery is stunning, the adventures are amazing, and a delightful staff who go above and beyond to make you feel welcome. Snorkeling and visiting Corvocado National Park were great adventures - lots of wildlife and the best tour guides. This is a truly special place that you will remember.
