Copa del Sol

I had no idea about this piece of art until I was at dinner and a nearby town and one of the locals mentioned that me and my traveling partners should go out and take a look. It is definitely worth the time. About a kilometer away is a mountain that has been tunnelled out and a pyramid built inside with a window. This all sounds crazy, but it's true once you enter into the pyramid room it lines up through the window with the Copa. I just stumbled upon it and I'm posting the pictures but I'm going to learn more about it as it was so beautiful and very interesting. I'm sure the story is going to be a good one.

Loved our adventure to Copa del Sol It is quite stunning and very serene. A bonus was watching 3 whales play off the cliff. You definitely need to email ahead of time to make reservations for a designated date & time. You will need to arrive about 30 min before your reservation to actually purchase your tickets and complete the paperwork.

The most amazing place I've been able to see in Mexico, plan to stay a while and visit the turtle sanctuary and swim on the beach with the giant waves. This is a truly unique place, crazy energy beautiful views and completely enchanting

The place, just like the road to get there and all the surroundings are stunning. It would be a no man’s land if it weren’t populated by a handful of billionaires who privatized this whole part of the coast (for unknown reasons?). Under the pretext of being a private art installation, there is a 20 dollars fee. You first need to purchase your ticket a few kilometers down the road. The staff will be heavily insisting and threatening regarding the forbidden use of drones. Before I was allowed to the office to buy my ticket, I was first turned down by the guards saying this is not a public nor a touristic spot and therefore it was closed to the public due to crowds. What crowds? There was no one miles around. After driving 3 hours to get there, I had to insist to access the office who said the place was actually open to visitors. Overall a beautifully unwelcoming and unfriendly place.

Copa de Nada! They make you go up the road for a ticket. The guard doesnt know the price but then if you insist they tell you $400 pesos in the am and $600 in the afternoon. I dont think it was worth it. I would have likes to see the turtle sanctuary tho.

A place i would have enjoyed visiting talking pictures, but unfortunately we did not. When you show up at the gate to get in you will be charged $20 dollars per person.

Never been but saw a video so many time of a band that played in there called HVOB and it's just an amazing set and this mysterious cops del sol bowl gave me insperstion to research it when it blew my mind the look of this marvel. Wow awesome! The story is great and the art was built 1n 1994 by a guy and it represents a woman desolate gorgeous! Body soul energy read it on google I don't want to type got to go with my lot lizard and feed her . Thanks
