This is our 5th visit to the Copacabana Hotel; first time was 46 years ago for our honeymoon. |We actually check out in July 1st but thought I’d write our review while we were still here. |We’re here for 2 weeks fully inclusive and to be honest, we can’t fault it. Yes, it’s dated and the rooms are basic but it’s very clean. You’re not spending 24/7 in your room so just get on with it and enjoy yourselves. Pool area is small, but we never had a problem getting a lounger or pulling up a chair outside. |The staff are very friendly and accommodating, nothing’s too much trouble. |Some reviews criticise the food, why? You know you’re booking a 3* hotel so why expect cordon bleu cuisine? There’s something for everyone at breakfast, lunch and dinner. The choice of salads is fantastic, there’s always pasta, cold meats and cheeses, a fresh fish dish and a cooked meat dish every day not forgetting a daily paella dish. Always plenty of chips and the desserts are good. If you can’t find something to eat from the choices you’re given, well…🤷♀️|Anyway, we’ve had 5 good holidays here over the years, thank you to everyone who works here. |If you’re going to leave a tip, leave some for the chambermaids; they’re awesome. Your room is cleaned daily, clean sheets and towels provided, can’t fault them. Also, don’t forget the hard working restaurant and bar staff.
