The Hidden iPhone Calculator Feature Every Cook and Traveler Should Know

"Passing through the airport, the writer had time to browse the duty-free aisles thanks to having travel documents and a mapped route on their phone, and stumbled upon an airport‑exclusive liter of Ardbeg Smoketrails Napa Valley Edition priced at 619 DKK. After an initial panic at thinking the price was in dollars, they used an iPhone calculator conversion feature (which pulls live rates via Yahoo Finance) to confirm the cost was about $95.40 — making the 33.814023‑fluid‑ounce bottle feel like an absolute steal. The same conversion tool also proved handy for quickly checking suitcase weight in kilograms, converting milliliters and other metric units, and handling recipe and temperature conversions, underscoring how the duty‑free shopping experience here can be relaxing and rewarding when paired with useful mobile tools." - Kat Kinsman

We flew into and out of Copenhagen while here for a few days. The airport is quite large with more shops than a lot of airports I've been to. The airport seems to have undergone many renovations at its very modern and nice throughout. A nice place to spend a couple hours before a flight.

Copenhagen and Brussels airports must be the two worst airports I have visited. The only good thing is the train station, arriving to the airport and you take the elevator straight to the check-in. One other thing, you have shops selling refreshments after the security so you can bring your favourite Pepsi refreshment onboard the flight. Flying biz and I use the fast track, one x-ray lane + two lanes for tourist class. This was a very special experience, the passengers climbing over each other when reclaiming your carry-on bags after the x-ray. No places to sit down, a few seats at the gates, and it is trotting and trotting to reach your gate. This time I experienced the E gates for the first time at the far end of the airport. Check in and security at the other end so it is a long way to walk. I am 60++ with pain in my knee and I try to avoid Kastrup Airport as much as I can. Scandinavian style, that is, no one should be comfortable, self service and a hard time. No seats to relax on your marathon run to the gates. Arriving is not better, trotting across the airport to the baggage claim area. Coming from within EU, one the other side of the airport and you have to trot all the way to the outside EU luggage claim.

Google
A modern and clean airport. The check-in area is a bit confusing and crowded, but I managed, of course. I appreciated a lot of ATMs all around the place with fee-free withdrawals. This was a pleasant surprise for me.

If you’re like me and always thirsty when traveling, there’s a couple of different places to fill up your drinking water bottles. Some of the bathrooms have them inside, and there’s a couple outside. Security line moved quickly, about 10 minutes on a summer morning 6am. Oh and if you’re lucky like me, you’ll catch the sunrise on the way in.

Copenhagen Airport (CPH) a.k.a Kastrup International Airport is an international airport in Copenhagen, Denmark which is the largest airport in the Nordic countries. It is situated in less than 10 kilometers from the city center. The airport offers a wide range of shops and restaurants services for passengers. It has a very serene environment, fully air conditioners and well ventilated. It is well spacious with lounges for premium passengers.

Google
What a nice and clean and friendly place! We could visit multiple airports in Europe and/or north America, but the CPH Airport is a class. Very well organized, a lot of shops and delicious food, nice coffees and shops and massive friendly staff. Yes, people are usually using airports to travel, but this one is really a nice place to be, even if you need wait for your flight couple of hours.

Very well organization, lots of restaurants and shops. Quick registration, self service available. Clean and neat, amny destinations available. Connected with Sweden over the bridge. Great experience.

Google
Actually a great airport! Security was very professional, and moved everyone along quickly and safely. The guards took the time to explain how to pack the bins properly, which a lot of people don’t know how to do, so that sped up the process as well. Behind security is just simply great, this has quickly become our European “go-to” airport. Outdoor smoking area available behind security, lots of food and drink options as well. Plenty of great shopping, my wife even bought a new swimsuit during a 5 hour flight delay. We have a great time here and sample food and drinks from different places each time go. Worth it for an airport.

Yelp
Pro: Clean, good amount of seating, metro and bus link onsite Con: Lack of signage to everything, nothing opens at night for an international airport We had two layovers here from LAX to MUN and BER coming back to LAX via SAS. Incoming flight - Out of the terminal, onto metro (second floor), ate locally, came back. Terminal 3 check in security does not have any signs. None, zip, nada, jack squat. It's currently being shared by Terminal 2, how would you know if you are not a local? You don't, you would just go around in circle until you talk to a staff. BTW, it's up the escalator to the right, away from Burger King. Outbound flight - It was a late flight in at 10:30pm, and everything was closed. I MEANT EVERYTHING, short of the transfer and handicap service and one lone mid concourse convenance store, it was just dead. We got on the metro, went to the hotel to sleep. Be prepared to get lost from lack of signs and ask the staff where to go. It's also a pretty spread out airport with no people movers, so do plan to walk around with enough time.

Yelp
Absolute disaster. 20 minute line for checking a boarding pass, 30 minute line for security (they care about the liquids in the bags and all electronics out and stuff) and another 1 hour long line for exit emigration! We repeatedly asked for assistance since our flight was boarding (figured 3 hours was enough time...) and were repeatedly told no, that once our plane boarding closes, they would call us up. Still a 10 minute speediest speed walk to the actual gate. Barely made it and rude staff were the cherry on top.

Yelp
The Copenhagen airport is...super odd. In my eyes, I view Copenhagen as a pretty major city, BUT this airport is so small and seemingly so...empty?? It was a bit jarring to note that as I arrived in Copenhagen and was navigating through the airport. I basically just had to navigate using signs and I hardly saw a single employee on my way out of the airport. Because I was in a hurry, I didn't have time to figure out public transportation to and from the airport, aside from knowing how significant of a price difference it would be. So I would highly recommend you look into public transit to and from CPH because taking a taxi from the airport to the city center, which is not even a 15 minute drive and like 6-7 miles of distance, cost $50 one way (I'm deceased). That's simply insane and completely not worth it if you have the time to figure out public transportation, it was just poor planning on my part! So beware of that. The primary reason I give CPH 3 stars though is upon LEAVING Copenhagen through this airport. For some reason, CPH has a very strict rule when it comes to your toiletries and how all your products (lotions, creams, gels, sprays, toothpaste, cleansers, etc.) must fit into this one 1L bag (per person) that you have to cram all your toiletries into once you enter the security line. They fail to mention this *clearly* as you're checking in to your flight. They note that it's only listed in the FINE PRINT, so how are you supposed to know and be able to plan in advance for this before getting to the airport? The signs around the plastic bags are also not clear on what you need to do, so my friend and I just skipped over those stations because we figured that was for people who hadn't brought their toiletries in a clear case to begin with. It wasn't until we were putting our items onto the conveyor belt that the security person was asking for our toiletries and how we needed to step off to the side to switch them into their bags. It was extremely frustrating because this is not a rule genuinely anywhere else I had flown on my trip thus far, so I naturally had not paid attention to just how many toiletries I had brought in and it naturally then could not all fit into the 1L bag. If I had come in with more than 1L of toiletries, how was I expected to leave with less after just an overnight in Copenhagen?! I ended up having to toss things like my toothpaste, opting to borrow my friends, and stuff many of my items into her bag too which had a bit more space. It was just frustrating because it was super subjective as well depending on how strict your security agent was. Some people literally had their bags full to the brim, unable to be zipped up, tons of stuff peeking out, and agents would let them through, while others were requiring that the bag needed to be zipped up. It was true chaos and extremely frustrating to encounter and so I needed to discuss it in major detail here so that all could be aware before flying out of CPH - so please take note!

Yelp
Big international airport that does a lot of things well but falls short on a few. Security is super fast, passport control was super fast. Lots of shopping, restaurants, bars, etc:.. Zero water fountains and/or a place to fill a water bottle. Gates are roped off until boarding meaning that there is no place to sit while you wait.. there are a few benches in the hallway, that's it. I guess they want to push you into the restaurants to spend money?

Yelp
Kid and family friendly, modern, clean, organized, and beautiful. It's also not a huge airport so it's easy to manage and get to gates. The trains take you directly to the airport so it's convenient. Just one thing ... not many charging stations. These days we are all wired with devices and it's so helpful to have many charging stations. There are 2 priority pass lounges. The staff speak at least 3 languages and are friendly.

Yelp
I cannot wait to come back to Københavns, our first time flying into this airport going through customs was so easy and fast. There are a lot of little restaurants, vending machines and seating to wait for outgoing flights and everyone was so friendly. When we flew back to London the process was so easy, I had purchased check in bags and it was so easy to do the self service bag check in. I swear if this happened in LAX it would be so chaotic but it was like well oiled machine here. Don't forget to get your Denish Hotdog before you leave, I dream about it still.

Yelp
Very nice airport with quick security. Easily accessible by metro, about a 15-20 minute ride from the city. No drinking fountains.

Yelp
We absolutely loved this airport. We arrived in the evening and left in the evening, but the beautiful designs, floors and walls really made our arrival to Copenhagen memorable! Plan ahead so you don't need to pay for a taxi to the city center. Take the metro or train (see below). There is simply just a different vibe at this airport compared to LHR or AMS, all good, but this one is calming. With only 8 km to the center of Copenhagen, it's easy to get to and from the airport. Depending on which form of transportation you prefer, it will take between 13 and 35 minutes to travel the distance. Copenhagen Airport was founded in 1925, it's the biggest and busiest airport in Scandinavia. It contains 3 terminals. Terminal 1 only handles a few national flights, and most international flights will be from Terminal 2 or 3 - so will most national flights, and those going to Greenland and the Faroe Islands. All international arrivals will be in Terminal 3. In the area between Terminal 2 and 3, you'll find luggage storage and customs. On the "airside" of the airport, you'll find a variety of shops, restaurants, and services. It's all gathered in one big area making it easy for you to get to, no matter if you're travelling from Terminal 2 or 3. In the same way, it's easy to access the gates, which are all connected to the area. DSB is the Danish national rail operator, running services to national and international destinations. DOT is the operator of urban and suburban transport in Copenhagen including buses, the Metro and the S-Train, which is the urban rapid transit rail system. The train station at Copenhagen Airport is underneath Terminal 3. For the station, follow the signs for the train and take the escalator down to either platform 1 or 2, depending on your destination. Trains to Copenhagen Central Station, Nørreport, Østerport, Helsingør, Fyn and Jylland depart from Platform 2 and run every ten minutes during the day. At night there are one to three trains per hour. The journey time from the airport to Central Station is around thirteen minutes.

Yelp
As far as big, international airports go, I'd rate CPH an 'okay'- not great, not terrible. Terminal 3 feels cramped, hallways feel way too narrow for an airport this busy, and the air conditioning is inadequate (the terminal felt very warm on a hot day). I also didn't notice any moving walkways, which would be helpful for shuffling people rapidly through the building. Passport Control strikes me as rather pointless and a waste of time. If Canada doesn't require it for outbound international flights, then why does the Schengen area? Airlines have to validate ID upon check-in and boarding, could they not simply forward those records to authorities to confirm that a passenger has crossed an international border?

Yelp
As far as airports I've visited, the Københavns Lufthaavn (Copenhagen Airport) is pretty good. There are tons of stores and lots of places to eat & drink. Security, baggage, transportation are all fairly straightforward - even passport control was easy! Overall, I liked the place - as far as airports go. 4 stars

Yelp
Large airport with many upscale businesses to shop. Also many choices of restaurants. Signage is clear and any staff will be happy to direct you. Free WiFi in the airport.

Yelp
We had to be in this airport a total of 4 times because of layovers on our way to Iceland. We actually really liked this airport! It's clean, has a lot of great cafes (Joe & The Juice, Hallernes, etc), and has a really comfy luxurious lounge. TSA was of course the most frustrating part as they threw out a toothpaste tube that was nearly empty and did the crew thorough check on our bags (fully opened them up and dug around) every time we went through. But overall really liked this airport!

Yelp
While not on a level as your Heathrow, CDG, or Schiphol, CPH was quite a busy little airport, showing signs of having outgrown the capacity for which it was designed. If you arrive too early, you might not find your departing AIRLINE, never mind the flight: in our case, with Delta not even showing up till about 3 hours before departure. Once it does, though, it moves quickly. Check-in agents are equipped with moving desks and hand-helds that does a lot of the necessary work while you're waiting in line. So, lines that look worrisome are dispatched quite quickly. Did not get a chance to eat or shop: can't comment on those aspects; but there are a number of airport lounges available no matter which terminal you're leaving from.

Yelp
We flew in here from Berlin. The airport is very organized, clean, and easy to get around. There are plenty of places to purchase food and drinks to sit down or take and go. There was no customs after arriving from Germany. The taxi stand is located right outside the main exit to the right. It cost about $60 us dollars though to make it to the Wakeup Copenhagen Hotel about 30 minutes away. It was faster but more costly than the underground metro. We didn't want to walk for about 1/3 a mile with luggage to the hotel.

Yelp
This is a beautiful, modern airport and we had a nice experience while there. The amenities were great with free WiFi and the facility being orderly and clean. The shops and eateries available were a good mix of price points. So there were some fancy spots that were neat to see, but also more affordable options in terms of gift shops and other shopping. Same thing with places to get food and drink. Due to flight delays and rescheduling, we were there almost all day. So we tried the smaller, casual eatery spots, but also checked out Aamanns that had a bar and service. Really good airport and would be happy to travel here or through here again.

Yelp
I had an amazing experience at Copenhagen Airport! It felt more like a shopping mall than an airport with all the famous stores that we have in the States. Plus, the convenience of catching a train to the city right from the airport was fantastic. The place was super clean, and the atmosphere was great. We even checked out the Aviator Lounge, which was a cool spot to relax before our flight. Highly recommend it!

Yelp
A clean airport with wonderful WiFi. Security was well run with minor wait. Numerous lanes were open and well organized. Once walking through to your gates were so many businesses-cafe, clothing, souvenirs, duty free and more The only thing for me was no plugs to charge phone or devices
google avatar

Yelp
Excellent airport! I was able to find my way around easily, retrieve my luggage on arrival and check in on my departure. Pay close attention to the screens with arrival and departure information because those make life so much easier. Also, immediate access to the metro system was awesome. I'd be pleased to find myself at this airport again.

Yelp
If I could give this airport zero stars, I would there is no place to sit down when you get to your gate. If you're lucky you sit on a pipe that's coming out of the wall. It is the most ridiculously fitted airport that I have ever been to there is a gigantic amount of space for them to put seats. there's probably 10 seats for people out of 150. It's ridiculous. It's the most ridiculous airport I have ever been to when you are at your gate....there are not any charging stations. Do not come to this airport with a low battery ... we were lucky to fight" and I mean fight!" For a wall outlet.

Yelp
"There is not truly bad weather, just bad clothes" I'm rounding up 4-stars for my visits to Københavns Lufthavn Airport during COVID mandate times of late March and mid-April of 2022. At the time, indoor masking still required, surprisingly since everywhere else in Denmark it's very mask-less. I passed through Københavns Lufthavn entering Europe via Scandinavian Airlines. A month later, I exited Europe here. For the most part entry was easy, just know that signage is mostly in Danish. Which makes sense because we're in Denmark! This airport is mid-size for International standards. Very clean and restrooms have privacy stalls - where each toilet is completely separated from the next. Decent amount of eateries and gift shops. The only negative here was the entry process into Europe - all squeezed into lines like cattle for Passport inspection and declarations. I've entered other European countries and it was less awkward. The other concern is making sure you have enough time if connecting flights here because like always boarding was at the other end of the terminal. The gates can be confusing, I somehow ended up in the "Denmark-only" flights area. Not sure how, maybe it's my blonde lashes lol, but I asked (most speak English) and got back on track. If you have a plan before landing finding your gate should be easy. However, if you have a long layover or extended stay in København its one of the user friendliest airports to use the luggage drop service or luggage lockers to hold your bags. I've used the lockers here and there are several sizes. Reasonable rates, easy instructions, and located at the outside parking area just across the road. Google the exact location. The trains to København City is easy once you know where to go in the airport. It's located on the 2nd floor is the best tip I can give you. Yes, at the other end of the terminal lol. Tickets can be purchased at kiosks and in Kroner or Credit Card. Clean trains! Københavns Lufthavn was also my exit airport from Europe back to the United States. In April of 2022 COVID negative testing (48 hours prior) still required before departure. I had a pre-caution test before leaving America, but inconveniently needed one on my return too. Hey, I'm all about safety and don't believe the world is flat, I'm boosted, had a test in hand from America, but still needed one returning! Fortunately, København Lufthavn has a very efficient COVID testing station at the airport. Basically, stand in line, show your passport, pay in Danish Krone via CC. All required tests available. In the end, I recommend København Lufthavn as an excellent option entering Europe from America. It's not crazy busy as London Heathrow, but offers you choices on connections to other destinations if need be. Awesome train service! For the most part, employees are friendly and professional. There's also artsy things to make you go... Zen. Hej hej

Yelp
Well the timing is poor. The summer of 2022 folks are traveling again, but airlines are struggling. SAS has a pilot strike, causing lots of cancelled SAS flights. British Airways has cancelled over 1500 flights. Our Air Canada flight got delayed twice, and our 3 hour connection in Canada is now about 25 minutes. There was a kiosk near the door to print boarding passes and luggage tags. I also was able to scan my passport on the kiosk machine. The line for baggage drop took a while, but since the flight was delayed it was no big deal. The line for security took a while and my feet hurt by the time I got to the front of the line. By the way they are very picky about liquids in plastic bags, so be ready for that. After security they do have some nice duty free shops and restaurants. Good luck if you are traveling by plane this summer! Try to be flexible.

Yelp
I adore this airport whenever I make my way back to Denmark. The layout of this airport isn't difficult at all, and is fairly easy to navigate. The restrooms are always clean, and there are plenty of restaurants scattered about. The souvenir shops are fully stocked with Scandinavian souvenirs just in case you need to grab some last minute gifts before continuing your journey. Coffee is available just around every corner (US airports, take notes) and staff is always very helpful! NOTE: Just as a reminder, be sure to familiarize yourself with liquid allowance especially in your carry one. As an American, I had to learn the hard way that all of my liquids that I bring in my carry on just fit into one ziplock bag. That being said, I advise to pack your toiletries/makeup/etc. in a checked bag if possible. This goes for practically all European airports!
google avatar

Jessy R.

Yelp
The airport is easy to get to by train and pretty modern with a bunch of food options. However, when it comes to security check point it makes it the worst airport ever! My boyfriend and I have travel to many different countries and we've never found ourselves filling one 5inx9in Ziploc bag per person and if you are a lady that brings makeup and perfume. You would have to fill ALL your items in that small bag. As a lady who takes care of herself while traveling that is clearly impossible. We were force to leave out the line and check in our bags almost missing our flight. They clearly need to do better and improve their security protocols. So Ladies and gentlemen consider yourselves WARNED. This experience truly spoiled my last day in Copenhagen.

Yelp
10.27.22. Now this is what an Airport should be like! Beautiful wood flooring, combined with modern and sleek design surrounds the entire airport. There is shopping, food, options, coffee shops, even an upstairs, Irish pub called Murphy's that I tried out. There seems to be a classic place around here called Joe and the juice which I've noticed around Copenhagen, quite often. I love that the floor smooth and extremely clean, and he's pushing your luggage carts around joy almost. Bathrooms are also very well taken care of. The danish people are friendly, most of the work, or speak English and they will help you out. Security check can be a bit intensive. Although there are not extremely clear about removing liquids, from the baggage as most airports, do, coming from the Phoenix sky, Harbor Airport sometimes they're not so strict on this. Well, and Denmark, on the other hand, this ended up in a search and seizures type situation. All in all it was OK, a 2.5 fluid ounces liter bottle of perfume cause them to alarm and then they told us afterwards, you must remove the "liquids from the baggage." Stop by Lagkagehuset! Try a real, authentic danish. Do yourself a favor, and just do it. It taste so much better than anything in America. The fresh flakiness and airiness of the croissant blends with the natural ever so effervescent and tingly sweetness. Maybe this is an over assumption or a judgment, please do not take this lightly her for granted, but it seems like everyone in Denmark is very healthy and fashionable. The amount of puffy jackets and cool, looking luggage as I saw is beyond me. I was taken to Copenhagen as my girlfriend had always wanted to come here. I wasn't sure what was here for me. But after two days here, wow, I love this country. Thank you for accepting me as one of your own. They even have a conveyor belt sushi place called, yo! Sushi! What kind of airport has a conveyor belt sushi go round. This is awesome. They even have a Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Hermés, etc. for the fashionably inclined (deep pockets...) lol. There is a tram/train that takes you directly to Copenhagen, Central Station, and less than about 20 minutes. It's all very convenient. Everything is streamlined and laid out. There are workers available and ready to help. At first it was very intimidating and confusing as a lot of the signs are in a different language than English. But just go up to any employee and ask them. They will be happy to help. Although I asked an attendant how to get to the bus, she directed me to the arrivals. So I spent some time walking back-and-forth. Anyways, they have an awesome 7-Eleven here. Tak! (thank you!)

Yelp
Flying into the Copenhagen Airport from Washington, D.C.'s Dulles, it was an easy entry. They checked my passport on my layover in Amsterdam. When I arrived in Copenhagen, I didn't even need to go through passport control. The airport is medium sized, clean and easy to navigate. There's free wifi and plenty of shops, restaurants and restrooms. The metro goes directly to the airport. For $6 a ticket, the metro takes you to downtown in only 15 minutes. It's very convenient!

Yelp
Have flown out of terminal 3 several times - my highlights below: 1. When you go upstairs to the departure area, you'll need to dump your liquids and then scan your boarding pass in order to be let into the waiting line for the security screening. (DO NOT scan your passport, scan the BOARDING pass.) 2. There's one long security screening line that becomes multiple lines as you get closer to the conveyor belts. You don't need your passport again for this area unless you're flying to a country that requires passport control (more below). 3. Right after you get through security it's the duty free shopping area. If you purchase something, they'll ask you to scan your boarding pass first before they scan your items. 4. If you're going to an E gate or taking any flights going to a non-EU country, you'll have to go through passport control. There are NO RESTAURANTS IN THE E GATE AREA (as of Nov 2022)!! Buy your food before you get to that area if you're hungry!!! Otherwise you pass through passport control and you're stuck in that gate area with 2 pathetic vending machines. I found this out the hard way the first time, and learned my lesson the subsequent times.

Jenna K.

Yelp
This airport is the filthiest airport i've ever been too. The floor and chairs are covered in stains and crumbs and the windows have fingerprints that haven't been wiped in years. Also the gate where we came had broken chairs and tables still set out as if they could be used.

Yelp
My usual airport is ERW - it makes this place look like I've died and gone to heaven. The nibbles at the SAS lounge were a bit scarce (ERW had a better selection) but staff, cleanliness etc etc in Denmark is a far cry from the employees at Newark.

Yelp
I had a quick 1 hour connection at this airport from the United States. It was very easy to navigate and I made it in time to my gate to board after going through passport control. I was worried about missing my connecting flight as many websites online advised to take at least 2 hours for a connection but as I was informed prior to landing by my flight attendant that would not be necessary. If you have a 1 hour connection you should have enough time to go through passport control and quickly walk to your gate. I would advise to walk quickly as it took about 10-15 minutes to walk to my gate. I still had time to grab a quick coffee and use the restroom prior to boarding. The restroom that I used at this airport was clean and easy to get in and out of quick. I also noticed the selection of shops, convenience stores and restaurants were full of options. I would love to dine here in the future if I have a longer connection.

Yelp
One lady working security is extremely rude. She was yelling and when we told her we didn't understand what she was saying they got mad. Sorry to call you out queen, but older lady with short blonde hair, you gotta chill girl. This airport also has like no seating in some of the terminals. I put two stars through because the airport they have little carts you can put your luggage in and because many of the other workers were very kind.

Yelp
Scandinavia is known for it's cleanliness and safety, and this airport is no exception. As a solo female traveler I was very happy and confident about my surroundings here, even late at night for my arrival. The airport is easy enough to navigate and has enough English signs and speaking people for those fellow Americans traveling there (It's actually mandatory in schools that they learn English in Denmark now). The airport is super convenient for those taking public transportation. It connects right there to BDS, the metro, buses and the train. (Use my favorite app Rome2rio to see which is best for you upon arrival). Tickets to Central Station were easy to purchase via kiosk. I was also able to use debit, so no kronas were necessary. Highlights for me were definitely Gucci, my favorite place to grab a fresh pressed juice in Europe, Copenhagen's own, Joe The Juice and the duty free shop where I purchased the most amazing Nordic skincare! I was so impressed with not only their selection, but the super knowledgeable, stunning sales girls. Ladies, treat yourself and buy something native for your skin from here. It's amazing (and all natural!!!!) Other mentionable ways to spend your time waiting for your flight is by grabbing a traditional smørrebrød (open-faced sandwiches), because they're plentiful here and grabbing some gorgeous metallic covered licorice and chocolates from Lakrids. They make great souvenirs! Great shopping, authentic food, super friendly employees and easy to access transportation. Lovely, lovely easy airport! A true pleasure! *No issues at all on my flight in from Lisbon via TAP Portugal and none departing to Paris via Vueling!

Yelp
Excellent airport, exceedingly efficient with self-check baggage and friendly and helpful staff if the machine gets it wrong. Very clean facilities and nice places to grab a bite to eat or relax with a drink when your flight gets delayed. If our experience is commonplace, you don't have to worry about lines at check in here!

Yelp
Easy Layout With Friendly Airport Staff SITREP My Scandinavian Airline (SAS) flight's layovers in Copenhagen were pleasant, busting with currency exchange machines, Starbucks self-serving coffee machines at a few airport gates, LOTS of stores and eateries, a quick Passport Checkpoint, etc. etc., among many other positive amenities & necessities. https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/k%C3%B8benhavns-lufthavn-kastrup-3?select=78TgK6-103lx6DnNsnx0iQ&userid=3mNz5nQFTIBQm0oU5mBR0w THE SETUP Resulting from my selected SAS roundtrip to Stockholm, Sweden, my little trek though Copenhagen airport was punctuated with: * [To Stockholm:] A two (2)-hour layover in Copenhagen airport on in where I stayed in the airport and caught coffee from a self-serve Starbucks espresso machine and also grabbed lunch at one of the eatiers; and then,, * [To San Francisco:] A 20-hour layover on the way back where I opted to spend the evening checking out the local sights in Downtown Copenhagen, as was spend the night at the highly rated hostel "Urban House" just two (2) blocks up from Copenhagen's Central Train Station (only 12 minutes from the airport). Along with the airport, my subsequent trips to/via the train, and to my lodging, etc., was easily accessible from each phase of my travel and made for very convenient sightseeing. The airport has several courtesy agents in and around the various ticket counters and the checkpoints of the security entrance, and one of the ladies I was conversing with in English helped me with check-in questions. https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/k%C3%B8benhavns-lufthavn-kastrup-3?select=bMP3GZgmNiNgje3NKiryog&userid=3mNz5nQFTIBQm0oU5mBR0w The airport also has a lot of very beautiful art dispersed throughout it. https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/k%C3%B8benhavns-lufthavn-kastrup-3?select=cZZ9vhX0ZmK02D8BsX2m1w&userid=3mNz5nQFTIBQm0oU5mBR0w THE LOWDOWN An excellent centrally located airport near downtown Copenhagen.

Yelp
[Review #447] 2019 Yelp 100 Challenge (99/100) I've been to CPH several times whenever we visit my in-laws... it's one of the nicest airports with the smoothest entry into Denmark, though we actually visiting Sweden. Upon exiting the plane, there's a stand that has a doc (that requests for your info & the local emergency contact info) for non-Scandinavian citizens. From there, you wait in a short line, which has never been more than 10-mins., to clear customs. The agents has always been friendly & pleasant, greeting & welcoming us to their country. Tack så mycket! =) However, I find leaving the country a bit more difficult & the lines quite cumbersome. Sometimes with 3-hours lead time, it can be cutting close to the departure boarding schedule. :-| Though I hate having a checked bag, which delays us for about an hour; it's a necessary evil now that I'm traveling with our children. I need extra space in the carryon bag for souvenirs. Luckily, there's a few snack shops near the baggage carousel; my flights usually land just around meal time (lunch) so I can grab a French-style hot dog with spicy ketchup at Steff's Place near baggage #6. Yum! Recently, I saw a coffee/tea stand near our exit, & picked up a cup of free tea. At first, I thought it was a mistake but I didn't see any cashier near the stand not a kiosk & saw a couple of passengers on my flight getting cups of coffee... so why not? I needed the caffeine boost to hold me over until I could get into the car. ;-) I like Copenhagen airport for its shopping variety from the low brow (H&M, Molo, Arket) to high brow (Change Lingerie, Bang & Olufsen, Hermès, BOSS, Apair) to tasty treats from Nordic Gastronomy. What's better than shopping at the airport when you're limited on time because you have to catch your flight? You can webshop by preordering goods from the stores, & picking them up at the airport when departing or arriving. How cool is that!?! =D CPH has good WiFi connectivity, clean restrooms, & simple check-in process (shoes on, liquids in a single clear bag - one can be provided if you forgot yours, shoes on). Boarding security is brisk & efficient. I'm sorry to say, but our airports back home could do better & take a lesson from Københavns Lufthavn. Säkert reser alla!

Yelp
We were able to take the Metro to get to the airport. If you get there early, there are duty free shops for you to do some last minute shopping and purchase souvenirs. When we were there, there weren't any lines for passport control. At the security checkpoint, plastic bags were provided for your liquids. No water fountains if you want to refill you water bottle, but supposedly there are "cold water tap" in the bathrooms for that purpose. Overall, it was a painless experience at the airport.

Yelp
Well, I may as well review the Copenhagen Airport as I wait for my flight to London. I got up at 3 this morning to journey here from where I've been staying in Sweden this month. *yawn before dawn* Luckily, after my unwise decision to pass up all the coffee places with long lines (of course there will be another one further down the gate right? Wrong.), I came across one of many self-serve sbux kiosks and paid $4 for a tall latte. It'll do. At least it saved me from spending anymore money in Denmark, which has proved more expensive than Sweden on this trip. Speaking of spending money, Bridget W. is correct in her review of this airport when she mentions how many duty free shops there are to choose from here! It's like a mall on the lower level. I found a wine shop to kill time in, and noticed they had an H&M (of course) and a Ray Ban shop. Very nice. I did go under budget this trip, but still felt I needed to behave. ;-) The only complaint I have is lack of seating in C Gate area. There are a couple areas where you could pop a squat right next to the gate, as I'm now doing, but seats are hard to come by and not at every gate. They'll let you into a larger seating area at the gate (depending on gate) when it's time to board, which was...interesting. At least there's bathrooms here too. Everything else is pretty great as far as major international airports go! It is very easy and convenient to take the train in and out from this airport. 100% will do again. The Customs people are nice, signs are clearly marked and also in English, the wifi works splendidly, bathrooms are clean, Norwegian had easy to use kiosks at check in (terminal 2) and though security had different rules than what I'm used to (shoes on, put carry on luggage in tray, liquids in one small clear bag provided by security or they get thrown out) the security folks were patient and nice enough. One last thing before I try to have a snoozle before boarding, if you didn't get to visit the Little Mermaid statue on the harbor in Copenhagen, there's a replica of her at gate C32.

Yelp
In April, I caught an outstanding fare on Delta to Copenhagen. $658 round trip. All in. Absolutely awesome because it's a city that I've never visited and it's a city that has Yelp, so I can easily find the cool stuff. As you're here on Yelp too, then you know what I'm talking about. The airport is quite easy to navigate. There's more than one terminal but it's close and easy to walk between them. Delta is in Terminal 2. A short walk from the gate to immigration and while there was a queue for foreigners, my EU passport had me through in less than ten seconds. I'm not kidding. Once through immigration and customs and baggage claim, I was able to easily purchase a 120 hour subway/bus pass at one of the machines. And then the only hard part of the journey was figuring out where to go to get the train to Central Station. I could have asked for help, but that would have been cheating. So I took an educated guess and was correct. It was the platform M2, past the red train kiosks and to the right. Hooray! This could be better. Returning to CPH for my journey back to the US, the signage was better for finding my check-in counter and then clearing outbound customs. A quick look at my passport and I was on my way. Lots of food and shopping and stuff to look at, both groundside and airside. Coffee, sandwiches, even a Dunkin Donuts! Free wifi throughout as well. The "duty free" section is absurd. You simply can't get in to or out of the airport without 100 yards of spirits, candy and fragrances. I don't know how someone with a fragrance allergy could pass. It nearly had *me* sneezing. All that needs improvement is the signage for finding the way to Copenhagen main station and a way to bypass the duty free.

Yelp
Copenhagen Airport: This mall, I mean airport, is a medium to large airport with about 3 arms of airport gates. Its lined with restaurants, bars and shopping stores. Lots of styles and price ranges to explore. It uses a lot of natural light with sky windows. It gives the interior a bright white natural light.

Yelp
Flew to CPH from Cuba (via MIA, then JFK) in June. Not only was in utter shock and disbelief in the cost difference between the two, I was baffled how expensive Denmark was compared to the rest of Europe, and especially the US. The first thing I saw after deplaning was a bookstore. A Lonely Planet book that costs $25 in the States was 299 Danish kroner, which equals $45!!!!! Quite a difference. The airport was brilliantly clean, has a ton of shopping and restaurants, and is very easy to get to not only the city center (5 miles away), but also to Malmö, Sweden (15 miles away over a bridge). We spent a few days visiting a good friend in Malmö, and the train leaving the airport was really easy, surprisingly affordable ($12) (compared to the Lonely Planet book), and fun. Overall, a very nice airport, the biggest in the Nordic countries. Although Denmark was the most expensive country I have visited, I would like to visit again someday.

Yelp
My only complaint is why are there more clothing stores than places to get food? It's a nice airport with easy connection by train. I was also able to sneak in a full bottle of water and large tube of toothpaste in my backpack.

Yelp
I recently travelled to Karlskrona, Sweden for work. It's such a small city (to me, it's a town, but it depends on what your definition is of a city is), that there isn't a direct flight to it. The best bet for me was to fly into Copenhagen Airport and take a three-hour train to Karlskrona. I travel a fair bit. My pet peeve is an airport that has carpeting all over the place. Most folks have rolling suitcases. Rolling them over carpet is a workout in itself. Additionally, steam-cleaning costs a ton. After spending 7.5 hours on the plane, I disembarked and immediately noticed the hardwood floors. Yes! I can roll my computer bag smoothly and effortlessly! Copenhagen Airport (CPH) has two terminals, numbered 2 and 3. Don't ask me what happened to 1. Your international flights tend to fly out of terminal 2. You need terminal 3 if you are catching a train to either places in Denmark or Sweden. Both terminals are connected. You simply walk. They are not massively huge terminals. I had already bought my train tickets online. I simply went downstairs to the train area and boarded. If you have more than one piece of luggage (I had my piece of luggage and my computer bag with wheels), I recommend taking the elevator down. There is an escalator that is slanted. It moves at a fast rate and I can see myself easily losing my luggage pieces on it, potentially wiping out travellers below me on this slanted conveyor belt. The line to speak to a customs officer wasn't all that long leaving and coming back to CPH. They asked a few questions and I was waved to continue. My total time was roughly five minutes in either direction. Easy peasy! I will need to be a tourist in CPH in future. I didn't have a chance to explore all the shopping areas as much as I would have liked at CPH. The main duty-free store is impressive, for instance. This airport has two such stores. I liked the little mail box by the train ticketing area. It was both classy and functional. The washroom facilities are clean. I had no problem rolling my computer bag into the stall. There was plenty of room. Signs are clearly marked everywhere. I pretty much walked the entire airport getting to C39 to board my flight back to Toronto. It's the second-last gate in terminal 3. At least I got a decent walk in before flying home. (312)

Yelp
I have been to this airport a number of times. Love all the duty free shops with a variety of items to purchase for example chocolates, perfume, alcohol etc. The only thing this airport could use is more benches for people coming through to sit at while trying to get there bearings after coming off a long flight. There is a variety of healthy dining and drinking options to choose from as well. Not to mention the bars and alcohol choices. The wide array of choices range from cheap to expensive. If needing to buy EU money there are exchange booths. It is amazingly easy to navigate and if you should encounter a problem there is a help desk nearby. For those flying out of this airport there are plenty of self check kiosks to print your ticket and luggage tag. Once your tag is on your suitcase you are allowed to go to the counter and weigh it. They will check your ticket and passport. Customs is easy but the line will be a bit longer if you are not an EU resident. There didn't seem to be many restaurants near our gate terminal. Glad we got something to drink before we went through to our gate. Once through customs you can choose your way our of the airport via bus, taxi or train. Terminals, restaurants, and restrooms are clean. Like most airports getting picking up your check luggage will take the most time. All staff that we met were kind, friendly and professional.

Yelp
Copenhagen is one of the finest airports that we have flown to in the world. If you are traveling to Denmark, then this is a wonderful airport to book your ticket to. Definitely, one of the cleanest airports around. Even the men's restrooms I used were clean. Terrific mix of stores and restaurants. The large 7-Eleven store was my favorite. Bakeries were a close second. Had no issues navigating through the terminals. Even going through security checks was cool. Staff we came in contact with were polite and professional. Overall, CPH airport is terrific! Great airport to wait for your flight, and also arrive at. Safe travels Yelpers!

Yelp
Was only here for a few hours for my connection from LAX and thoroughly enjoyed my visit. When I first entered the airport I headed straight for the restroom which was much needed after my long flight. While I do love how quaint the plane toilets are, it's nice to return to a full sized stall after a long night. After the restroom I decided to just sit down for a minute at the nearby chairs to contemplate my life choices since I still had over an hour before my next gate was announced. Suddenly, a flight attendant came up to me and asked if I was headed to San Francisco. When I told them no, they helped me find the way towards immigration services to have my passport stamped and from there told me I could find my gate. The immigration person was very sweet and helped me get to my next destination without much hassle! On the way over I passed by many cute shops, but I still couldn't find a place to refill my water bottle so hopefully when I get on the plane they'll hook me up. Once at my gate I still had about an hour to wait so a found a comfy seat and closed my eyes for a few minutes. All in all, I knocked CPH airport down a star for their lack of water (again) but would highly recommend flying through if you get the chance!

Yelp
Very nice airport with a lot of dining amd shopping options. The airport looks very modern and clean. The only negatives I observed were the lack of seats in the gate areas and too few bathrooms for the size of the airport

Yelp
Quite a disorganized airport as there is lots of renovations going on. I think they plan to build the biggest airport in the Nordics but in the meantime finding your gate can be a challenge enough that they have info desks in place to help passengers. For a small airport it's quite busy as well. Be prepared to wait for bags, taxis and so on. I use it as I have to :-)

Yelp
Been traveling to Copenhagen airport for a few years now. They are in he middle of some construction but just opened up a section that has added to their already abundant list of Restaurants. Love the fact they have hardwood floors throughout and plenty of shopping for all tastes and interests. For restaurants-some of my favorites-Tapas Del Toro, Mikkeller (21 beers on tap), Pate Pate (more Tapas), MASH (steaks), Lele Vietnamese Street Kitchen and Gorm's & don't forget to stop at Steff's for that awesome Danish sausage. A great selection in the Duty Free shop & they have a mini Duty Free shop in the baggage claim area which Is rare. Hardly ever is there a major queue in security & easy to navigate despite having many international connections. That said, there is about a 15 minute walk to F gates (Ryan Air, Easy Jet) & if you are going to F make sure you get your food/snacks before. Overall, short security queues ( my experience) & an abundant choice of restaurants & shops & those hardwood floors.. ""What's not to like?!

Yelp
Very poor connection to rental cars - you have to walk 1/4 mile to busstop in all type of weather, mostly rain
