They call it Central Train Station in Copenhagen, this is where most trains stop from all over the EU and from CPH. This is a beautiful building inside out, old, statuesque and historic. Decent and compact, this train station can be filled to the brim during rush. Everybody loves pastry so look out for some good munchies and a water on your way someplace. Outside the train station you can see the Tivoli Gardens. A block away on the corner, is the Visitor's Center where you can buy tour tickets, a Copenhagen Card (best value but do the math first). Just because CPH is considered safe, there are signs everywhere, read them. One sign says beware of pickpockets. It can be daunting your first time here but hey there is an information booth and if that's closed look for guys that look like policemen, they'll help you too. It's a user friendly city, Danes speak Englich, don't suffer in silence.

Tip: Credit card and coins only if you want to buy a ticket. This train station as with most, has lots of food options. However, if you're used to authentic Chinese, don't get Chinese food here. Sunset Boulevard makes really good burgers (Hereford) on a ciabatta type roll. Starbucks is onsite if you wanna pay $10 for a cup. If you wanna pay less for good coffee there's Cafe Baresso a short block from the station. 7-11 (yep, it's in Copenhagen too) has great snacks for cheap and bottled water. Dunkin Donuts is on site, organic grocery store, bakery (really good stuff), juices, even a locksmith. Go outside through the back exit of the train station is a plethoria of Asian, Vietnamese, Japanese dining options including good local Danish, Italian, Middle Eastern restos.
