Stopped by Copenhagen Sausage Garden while visiting Solvang. The atmosphere was fun and lively with plenty of outdoor seating and a great selection of sausages and beers. I tried a couple of different sausages — they were flavorful but a bit too salty for my taste. The sides and condiments were good, and it’s definitely a nice place to hang out with friends. Worth a try if you’re in Solvang, especially if you enjoy craft beer and a casual beer-garden vibe.

Very cute little beer garden with hot dogs, danish style of course. We came back here after 8 years and it’s barely changed! Lovely atmosphere, especially on a sunny but not too warm California day or in the evening all lit up with string lights. If I were a Solvang local, I’d be a regular here.

This is one of the Solvang’s well-known restaurants. The food is delicious, and they offer a wide variety of sausages and beer. Just keep in mind that the wait can be long, as there’s often a line.

A Must-Visit Spot in Solvang for Sausage Lovers! We stopped by in the late afternoon during a family trip to Solvang, and as sausage lovers, we were thrilled to find this place. We waited about 10 minutes, but it was absolutely worth it. At first, we ordered a set of three sausages with bread. But we quickly realized we wanted more—so we went back for an extra sausage and a pretzel. No regrets! What impressed us even more was the staff’s thoughtful service. When we placed our initial order, they noticed we were close to the price of the 4-sausage set and adjusted it for us—so helpful and considerate! The drinks came with free refills (up to three times), which was a nice bonus. One person in our group ordered the mildest beer, and the staff kindly gave us a heads-up that it was very smooth in flavor—perfect advice. We also ordered salads, and they brought out two separate bowls, each fresh, nutty, and full of flavor. Our whole family loved it. The service here was truly outstanding—friendly, attentive, and full of little thoughtful touches. If you're visiting Solvang, this is definitely a place worth stopping by. Highly recommended!

Google
A good place to go for beer and Pretzels those were the stars of the show. Nothing too fancy, Sausages weren’t cooked to my liking (they seemed like they were thrown in the fryer.) But dip it in their array of mustards and take a big gulp of beer and it’s ok.

During a June visit to Solvang, many of the restaurants were closed early. So we were happy to find this place open later and a little less expensive than other restaurants in Solvang. It was also very busy. We tried the Sausage Sampler which showcases different sausages from around the world. We chose these 3 sausages: Rod Polse, Bratwurst, & Kielbasa. We also tried the Apple & Arugula Salad and All American Burger. We enjoyed our food and the atmosphere of just being in Solvang. Seating here is all outdoors, so bring a jacket. It was chilly the night we came.

*Delayed post from Dec '24. Visited here during Lillejuleaften (Little Christmas Eve on 12/23) to enjoy the holiday atmosphere. This place had great outdoor seating with affordable beer and bar food. It was extremely crowded when we arrived, as expected given the holiday, but thankfully the line moved quickly with multiple kiosks. It's a self-seat, order at the front kind of place, so don't expect a server to wait on you. We ordered beer and pretzels and found a table to share with another couple easily. The pretzels took longer than expected to come out, but we nursed beers in the meantime. I appreciated the variety of dips available on their condiments cart as well.

If you’re looking for an authentic taste of Denmark in the heart of Solvang, this Danish sausage biergarten is an absolute must-visit! From the moment you step in, the charming atmosphere transports you straight to Copenhagen. The sausages are nothing short of phenomenal—perfectly seasoned, grilled to perfection, and served with all the traditional fixings. The beer selection is equally impressive, featuring a fantastic variety of local and imported brews that complement the flavors of the sausages. The outdoor seating in the biergarten is cozy and inviting, making it the perfect spot to relax and enjoy the lively, yet laid-back ambiance. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, making sure every guest feels welcome. Whether you’re a local or just visiting, this place offers an unforgettable culinary experience. Highly recommend for anyone craving authentic Danish flavors in a beautiful, rustic setting!

Yelp
The last time we came out to Solvang, this was an unexpected favorite. We're glad to see it's only gotten better. There is usually a long line stretching around the block to get in, but it's well worth the wait. The ambiance of the outdoor seating is great, and the food is delicious. My +1 and I opted for a sausage sampler, picking the first four on the list, and we opted with buns so we could load them up with sauerkraut, our choices of mustard, and jalapeños and banana peppers. We also shared a giant pretzel, which came with beer cheese for dipping. We chased it all down with a couple mugs of mead, which tasted like cactus coolers but were a lot stronger - especially at 8-9%. The only hiccup was that our order of bacon went missing. After finishing everything else, we brought it to someone's attention and got it in short order. I'd make a point to come back again next time I visited the area.

Yelp
Came back a year later because I remembered how much I enjoyed their food! Came on Saturday 12/06 around 3ish pm and WOW! The line was really long that it wrapped around the corner to the jewelry shop! My fiancé and I were so excited to bring our friends here since we enjoyed it so much last time! Line wasn't to bad, it just made me appreciate knowing some tasty food will be in my tummy shortly! As we got closer to the front my friend went to go claim a table for the 4 of us to sit while the rest of us waited to order. After looking at the menu their plant based options went from 2 to just one now. So sad, but we still got 2 of their Italian plant based sausage, a pear cider, half a basket of fries, and their pretzels. Once we got our number we went to out friend and she was taken advantage of by these 5 girls who just took the table from her. We all couldn't have fit and they weren't exactly trying to let us fit either so we moved to another table (is it me or more people are much ruder nowadays?) and happily sipped my pear cider. I normally prefer ciders to beers since beer just makes me feel so full. The pear cider was light and enjoyable. But my fiancé had the rest of it since I was more focused on my food instead LOL The Italian sausage came with a hot dog bun ( I didn't eat this since we had fries and pretzels) And the sausage was good! I feel like the sizing did look a little bit smaller or is it because I was comparing to my friend's meat based sausage? Whatever the case may be I still enjoyed it! The pretzel was so good and the cheesy dipping sauce was like a blast from the past. Not sure if any millennials can remember this cracker snack from back then where it came with this cheese dip and this red stick you can use to spread the cheese on. So good! Half a basket of fries. WOW. This was actually a lot of fries, I can't imagine a full basket. I was stuffed to say the least! Be careful! There are bees there that wanted to sit on me and our food! Just wished there was a better way when it came to seating but other than that food was still yummy!

Yelp
12/5/25 - We wanted to try this place for dinner as we heard good things and it was very busy! Our wait was around 30 - 45 min and we ordered the sample platter. My grapefruit beer was pretty good and we thought the food was okay. As nights are getting colder, having heat lamps would be good. I think the staff were really busy, but also a lot of the sauces for the sausages were empty.

Yelp
This was the perfect Denmark food in Solvang! I love all the sausage options. The soft pretzel was the best one in Solvang, for sure! There's a whole cart of sauces and you can take as much as you'd like and try as many different ones as you'd like. You just order at the podium and find a table in the beer garden area. They bring your food to you and call out drinks at the window, if you want to get a beer. It was a great ambiance restaurant for Solvang.

Yelp
Got the sausage platter with bratwurst, kielbasa, chicken apple sage, and rød pølse. Everything was delicious, though I wasn't a fan of the rød pølse--it had a tough texture. The fries were great: crunchy, fresh, and not the least bit soggy. And you have to get the pretzel! It comes with a super flavorful cheese sauce that pairs perfectly. Service is quick and easy--you order at the counter, grab a table, and they bring the food out. They also have a whole section stocked with mustard varieties, ketchup, ranch, and sauerkraut. Don't skip the curry ketchup... soooo good!

Yelp
Great menu of choices with a ton of sauces you can also get on the side. I loved all of our sausages, they were so flavorful. The outdoor space is really nice, especially if this is a pitstop on a road trip. Lots of seating options and it's a order first then sit down place which is nice because you can get in and out quick or take your time!

Yelp
We visited Copenhagen Sausage Garden while in the Solvang area - it's definitely a must try if you're in the area! We were a party of 6 and luckily there were 12 different types of sausages to try... so we ended up just getting 1 of each and splitting them all lol! Our server was able to show us which sausage was which when the food came out, but our memories quickly faded as we ate haha. The sausages were delicious though, they were juicy, savory, and snappy! They also have a wide variety of beers here. We ended up going with a flight to try a wider range of their options. It's dog-friendly here! They're an outdoor beer garden. Tables get cleaned pretty quickly as people leave, as does the line.

Yelp
A must visit when going to Solvang and weekends/meal times expect a little wait to 1. order at a counter and 2. finding an open table. Sharing is essential and I recommend the sausage platter! You can choose 3 or 4 different sausages (Currywurst, Bratwurst, Hot Italian & Rød pølse) and there's an add on option for buns if you want. Love the plentiful sauce options here to try a little bit of everything and I definitely went to town with the self-serve. Rød pølse sausage is an acquired taste, but glad I tried it! The other sausages were pretty juicy too!

Yelp
Wow if this outstanding Sausage garden isn't already spoken for, please allow me. It's an excellent quick grub stop tucked between a couple other Danish structured businesses. Their "garden" is more of an outdoor mini lunch space with plenty long narrow tables. The 3 of us chose to do their 3 sausage combo to sample to split and I had a beer for myself. Since it was more a snack time for us in between our stroll the 3 were perfect. My favorite as their CurryWurst. Its curry twist was an icon for my taste buds. Each weenie was smoked with a perfect quenched bite with fabulous flavor. The sausage were all quality and I'd highly recommend. The beer also was an easy stout with good flavor and complement to the piggly wigglies. You have to also experiment with their selection of sauces they offer as dip. My highlights were mostly their cranberry mustard and grainy mustard. Very unique with nice savory and zingy elements. The sauerkraut also was an epic way for a fresh zesty bite to slice through all the savory sausages. Would certainly come back if I'm ever in Solvang again!!

Yelp
Over rated. Came here due to the Yelp reviews but was disappointed Service is good but the sausages are overrated and over priced. The only positive side is the different sauces that are available to grab. Didn't have a chance to try the beers.

Yelp
We came by here for lunch while checking out Solvang. It is an outdoor seating. Seat yourself after ordering. Order at the front, pick up drink from drink window. Food will be brought out to you. There are condiments and water station. We got the sausage sampler with rod polse, bratwurst, kielbasa and currywurst. Added 3 rolls and a Bavarian pretzel. They were busy and packed but food came out in timely manner. All 4 of the sausages were pretty good but a bit salty. The roll did help balance the saltiness. Pretzel was big and delicious. It was soft but i felt the other was a bit tough. A solid place overall. Definitely will eat here again if in the area.

Yelp
The best currywurst I've had in the states! The curry ketchup was so addicting, I could've sat there and consumed an entire cup if I had enough fries to go with it. This place is casual, fun, and worthy of a visit if you are looking for an outdoor patio dining experience. My boyfriend and I came for dinner on a Sunday night around 7pm, ultimately selecting this restaurant because it seemed to be open later than most of the other options in the area. We ordered the small sausage sampler, which came with 3 sausages, and added 2 hoagie rolls on the side. We also ordered a side of fries, which were SO crunchy! The sausages we chose were the hot Italian, kielbasa, and currywurst. As mentioned, the currywurst was the BEST part. I could've eaten 5 alone. Unfortunately, the hot Italian was a miss for me and felt like an ordinary bratwurst. The kielbasa wasn't too spicy and came in as a close second behind the currywurst. Overall, the sampler was a little pricey, but par for the area I suppose, and I'm still really glad we ate here. The sauce bar was fun, there were so many different options that it felt impossible to try them all. No comments on service - you order at the counter, take a number, and wait for your food at your table, so pretty straightforward!

Yelp
Make sure you get there early it gets so busy. The sausage taste fresh onion rings were bomb. Seating is like an outside picnic. It was worth getting there before it opened

Yelp
So I've heard about this place as well as seen it numerous of time whenever I'm in Solvang. It tends to always be so crowded and the line just made it worse. So finally had the chance to try it out. Killing time in Solvang so traffic could die down before heading home. And there was no one in line when we walked by. A few people already seated in the outdoor Biergarten. There was a gentlemen sitting right at entrance where you would order from him. Menu wise had obviously sausages, many to choose from. Then you have loads of sides as well as burgers and salads to accommodate. Beer selection as well as cider. There were a couple of sizes for the beer depending on what you want. We tried the 3 sausage combo with bratwurst, jalapeño cheese and the three peppers. Two American and one German sausage. You could add a bun for an additional 1.00 if wanted. The three sausage sampler was 21.95 or you could do 4 for 26.95. They have a counter where all the sauces and condiments are. And a bucket of sauerkraut, self serve. Also, can't be at German Biergarten without having a pretzel. There was two option, smaller size and the larger one. Went with large which was perfect for sharing and that came with two sides of cheese. Beer and cider was really nice. Also the sausages were excellent and the sauce choice we chose were great. It's self serve so you could basically try it all. I'm not one to skimp on sauerkraut so as it was self serve, I took advantage of it. The food was great, drinks were nice. The seating area was quite roomy and its communal picnic table. Be prepared to wait during the weekend or when it's super busy as having to order before seating is what takes a while.

Yelp
If you like Sausages, then this is a place for you. We ordered the sampler for the Sausage and an order of fries. They ran out of number of items on the menu, and it was couple of hours prior to closing. We ordered at the cashier and picked a table at the patio with our dog. There's no inside sitting, all outdoor. And it is not a garden, just a covered patio with picnic tables. The sampler of Sausage was a good idea, we were able to try different one, we like some more than others. Overall, food was just OK. Service was lacking as well.

Yelp
While in Solvang last year, we were looking up popular local spots to eat lunch at and this spot showed up. What a good decision on us to check it out. Don't get me wrong, there are some issues with a place this popular: picnic table type seats, a lot of which are right in the sun and dirty - often cramping together multiple parties because of how popular this place gets, the line is LONG with our wait around 30 ish minutes just for some sausages and pretzels, and the sauce/condiment section gets really messy with the amount of people going there. But with the quality of sausages you can get (at an ok price but still not cheap) I think it can all be forgiven considering the touristy nature of Solvang. We essentially got a sampler of some of their best and most popular sausages and all of them are great. Good snap, juicy inside, and long enough to share multiple pieces with a large group. The sauces are plentiful, with the ranch, barbeque, and honey mustard being the most flavorful pairings for me. The pretzel with the mustard was also really good with the mustard giving a real kick if thats what you like. Really nice lunch spot when you come visit and a must try for sure.

Yelp
This was a yummy lunch! This is a small establishment, get in line, order, find a seat on their patio, get your drinks at the window, and they bring the food to you. There isn't much shade, glad we got a table that was covered, majority of the seating is open air. There is a table with dozens of sauces and a massive jug of sauerkraut, serve yourself. Husband and I split an order of 4 sausages and a pretzel. The sauce for the pretzel was DELISH, almost like an alfredo sauce. We had kielbasa, bratwurst, jalapeno bacon cheddar, and currywurst. My favorites were the kielbasa and currywurst, i liked that there was actual curry in the sausage itself. All of them were very juicy and tasty. Lunch was $66 after tip for the sausages, pretzel, and two beers. We will definitely come here again!

Yelp
After arriving in Solvang and meeting up with close friends, we were starving for dinner and suggested we go to the Copenhagen Sausage Garden that was is walking distance from our hotel. After a nice stroll, we arrived at Copenhagen Sausage Garden, placed our order and sat down. The workers were friendly and quickly brought our food order out to us. We picked up our drinks at the window, and sauces at the Sauce Bar with a large container of free sauerkraut. Wow!!! Enjoyed the best beet, goat cheese, walnuts and arugula salad with vinaigrette dressing!!! Friends got the sausage platter and they immensely enjoyed the crispy skinned, well seasoned and moist sausages. The Garden had many tables and benches with large screen televisions to watch the NFL games.

Yelp
Still as good as I remember it! Just as crowded and hot as I remember too, with all available shaded seating space taken up before the midday sun. The variety of sausages offered are still unbeaten. Sure, the prices have gone up a couple bucks and the bread isn't free anymore, but there's nothing else like it. Not to mention, they're still as flavorful, smoky, and juicy as before. This time around with my friend, we got the rod polse, bratwurst, kielbasa, and currywurst. We tried all their mustards, but the cranberry mustard still shines like above the rest. I also got a 16oz pour of the weihenstephaner draft beer. It was light and crisp, with the subtle hops aftertaste being a nice palate cleanser between sausage bites. Always worth checking this place out every time you visit Solvang!

Yelp
Copenhagen Sausage Garden is one of those "must go" restaurants when in Solvang. Just a legendary spot. There is always a line, however, it moves pretty quickly. It is all outside seating (benches). I suggest trying the Sampler which gives u a taste of different sausages. You can order buns but fyi, the buns are just regular cold buns. The Bavarian pretzel was one of the best pretzels I have tried. It is also HUGE! It comes with cheesy garlic sauce that pairs exquisitely with the pretzel. There is also a condiment area where they have a good variety of interesting sauces for your Sausages. I do like the fact that they serve huge mugs of European beer. It adds to the Solvang vibe of being in Denmark! It was a good experience though the prices may be a bit outrageous for this experience.
google avatar

Grace A.

Yelp
Long lines, thought that meant good food. When we got out food it was cold and even though I asked for our sausages well done they weren't cooked all that much and pretty much cold inside. It was good, but cold and not what I asked for. It wasn't until other people started getting their sausages that were beautifully charred did I realize they gave us sausages that had been sitting out and waiting. It was a shame because we didn't realize it until we were almost done. The fries were very good and the pretzel was also okay, but a bit on the cold side as well. Love the great selection of mustards. I'd definitely give this place another try, but I will make sure that my food is cooked to order, if it comes out in 5 minutes or less I'll know it wasn't made fresh.

Peijean T.

Yelp
I've tried a few restaurants in the area and generally enjoyed them, but on my recent visit to Solvang, this one knocked it out of the park. I feel like I've found my new favorite, and one that I can see myself visiting on future visits rather than searching for a new place every time I'm in Downtown Solvang hunting for an interesting place to eat. This is well-priced fast casual fare with lots of menu selections for hot dogs/ sausages all in an outdoor beer garden style setting. Drinks including beers of course but it's refreshing to see choices like mead on the menu. You'll find at least a half dozen different kinds of sausages/toppings in the condiment table, making for a fun experience as you try different flavor combos. I ordered the Rød Pølse (traditional Danish hot dog that is bright red), a German-style(?) curry sausage, and a Polish sausage. The only downside is that there are a lot of flies that will circulate your food, especially on a warm day. You'll spend a lot of time swatting off the bugs. Given that the only place to sit down and eat are on their outdoor picnic tables, I don't see a way around this. Still, it wouldn't keep me from coming back when I want a cheap, quick, unique meal.
google avatar

Siv S.

Yelp
Wanted a light bite in the evening. This place hit the spot. Ordered a couple sausages and beer to go back to eat in our room. Might have eaten in their spacious outdoor seating but it was a little chilly. Liked the chill vibe. We were very satisfied with our ordered and I loved the huge condiments section. Would come back again next time we're in town.
google avatar

Jana H.

Yelp
This was recommended to us from the place we were staying in Solvang and it was a good stop! We ordered to go, but it would have been better to be able to sit and enjoy it in the nice outdoor patio with the fun beer garden ambience. Got the sausage sampler and loved being able to try different sausages. We enjoyed all three out of the rød pølse, bratwurst, and kielbasa. Also loved the copious amounts of mustards they had available! Absolutely would recommend and would go back to eat there, trying more sausages and including some sides this time. They went great with some cheese we had!
google avatar

Susan V.

Yelp
It was wonderful to sit outside and have a large mug full of beer and a super tasty beet salad, sausages, and German pretzel. It was the perfect meal and atmosphere to enjoy friends.
google avatar

Trinity C.

Yelp
All we tried was their pretzel with cheese sauce but it was incredible!!! I would come back to Solvang just to try it again! It was hot, fresh, and the sauce tasted homemade! Delicious!!!
google avatar

Mark W.

Yelp
An outdoor-only, dog friendly venue with picnic tables, and very much in need of a leaf-blower to corral the collection of small bits of trash under the tables. We shared one very good Cowboy burger with fries and a beer for $30.
google avatar

Carlo G.

Yelp
A good option for European-style sausages in Solvang! I visited this outdoor eatery during a weekday for lunch and my experience was good as a solo diner. You fall in line, order, the cashier will give you a number, and your food will be brought to where you choose to sit at. I ordered the Red Polse Sausage in a bun with a side of German Potato Salad. The Red Polse Sausage was pretty good! It was juicy, flavorful, and had a nice snap to it. The bun it came in was soft and fluffy. I wasn't the biggest fan of the potato salad. I liked how chunky and creamy the potatoes were as well as the big chunks of bacon in it, but I wasn't a fan of how mustardy it was in flavor. Not my cup of tea. I also liked the self-serve condiments station. There was a large variety of sauces to choose from and my favorite was the curry ketchup which had a nice and sweet curry flavor and complimented the Red Polse sausage. There was also warm sauerkraut which was good, but I think I prefer the colder version. Overall, a good experience here! I think it would have been better if I came in a group, so I can try a variety of sausages. I would definitely come back here if I was visiting Solvang in the future.
google avatar

Vivian T.

Yelp
It couldn't have been a trip to Solvang if I didn't try anything over at Copenhagen Sausage Garden! I was met with a long line (that doesn't seem to die down!) but patiently waited. We got the Currywurst, Rod Polse, Kielbasa, and Bratwurst. All of them had lots of flavor and went great with their dipping sauces. There is a variety from the cart as well as sauerkraut to add on! The platter came with some pickled cucumber slices. We got a 1/2 order of french fries which was sadly forgotten until the very end of our meal due to them being short of fries. It was quite greasy, but I liked the batter on them. Although touristy, I can't help but still visit to dine in the popular space. It was busy so we found ourselves sharing a table and expect long lines, but definitely go for the Solvang experience.
google avatar

Kitty C.

Yelp
Came here for dinner and got the sausage sampler. We chose Roo Polse, Currywurst, Jalapeno Cheddar Bacon and Kielbasa. The best was jalapeno cheddar, than Kielbasa, Roo Polse and Currywurst. We also ordered the pretzel which was so so so good! The bread was soft and the dipping sauce was rich and creamy! It's walk up and order. If you order drinks, you pick it up at a drink window but they bring the food to your table. The gentlemen helping us was super nice and friendly. Open space seating, self serve condiments and I assumed clean up your table before you leave. Not a huge variety of other items to try, it looks like previous years they had some seasonal items and then they were discontinued. Definitely come for the pretzel and sausages!
google avatar

Magda N.

Yelp
This spot is highly rated in Solvang for a good reason, they serve good food. The sampler came with 3 fairly sized sausages (I was expecting bigger but they're normal hotdog size). They were yummy. We ordered extra bread to make it a full meal. They have a condiment bar but I ate them as is. Yummy as they are. Didn't even need ketchup for the fries. They were crispy and nicely seasoned. The smash burger was pretty good but it's pretty messy to eat. You'll order first upon seating so it's helpful if you have somebody else save a seat. They're outdoor and we brought our doggy along to sit under the table (lots ppl brought dogs). Nice ambiance. We got the giant beer glass to make it a full experience. The line is alway long but they're worth it.

Yelp
Good spot for a quick casual lunch when in the area! We stopped for lunch during our road trip. Loved the two sausages we tried (we got kielbasa and jalepeno sausage). They were served piping hot and super snappy; I was super impressed with the texture! Not too salty either. Paired well with the bun. These hit the spot since we were super hungry. Loved trying all the fun sauces as well! The sauerkraut was delicious too. There was plenty of outdoor seating, a restroom, and self serve water condiments. Service was friendly and fast and very no frills.
google avatar

Elba G.

Yelp
The sausages here were pretty tasty and I love that there is a little topping bar that offers an abundance of sauces. I highly suggest trying all the mustards to get a good little flight going. Everything was very shareable so if you want to try something, I suggest getting the sampler which is basically a mix of dawgs that you can split. The pretzel and cheese here was SO SO SOOOO good. I'd come back for this alone. Service was quick and efficient. Not table side so you basically order at the front and seat yourself. Ambiance is very chill, basically a beer garden. Knocked a star down because the place is a little messy but thats because everyones trashed and being sloppy when serving themselves but I wish staff would regularly keep things tidy to make it more presentable..

Yelp
No wonder this has over 3k reviews! This is one of the hot spots in Solvang- and a must check out! We ordered a variety of sausages, but I ordered kielbasa and that was, along with the other sausages A+. My mom ordered a vegan sausage, but she wasn't a big fan of it. Potato salad: strong dill and Dijon flavor, so good!!! A+ Pretzel: this is a MUST order. Do not skip this. The dough is not too thick, and the garlic sauce that comes with - chefs kiss. A+ Chocolate stout: A+ I like stouts, and they have a variety of beer on tap. Ambiance: outdoor seating only. It gets cold at night in Solvang, so bring a jacket. Overall, great food, great space to eat. Would be coming back!

Yelp
What a great spot to chill and eat a variety of sausages. We were headed back home coming from Santa Barbara and stopped by Solvang to explore and Copenhagen was a really highly rated restaurant. The line was pretty long but it moved along at a steady click. Fyi we stood at line starting around 11:30 am on a Monday Memorial Day Weekend. There are two cashiers who take your order and then give you your number to self seat. Note that drinks are handed through a window behind the cashier. The seating is all outdoors and is crowded so it might be difficult to seat a large party. We waited for a bit but were able to seat a party of 6 eventually. We ordered two of the sausage platters to share, fries, and the pretzel. I can't recall all the sausage we ordered, but all of it was good and unique. Two platters was enough to share with 6 people. The pretzel is huge and the dipping sauce that comes with it is a cheese that's pretty good. I really liked the pretzel. Fries were also good. Oh and they have a ton of dipping sauces but I personally liked the Dijon mustard the best. Copenhagen Suasage Garden is a worth a stop if you're in Solvang!

Yelp
Came here for lunch and it was such a fun experience. A cute beer garden with so many sausage options. We got the bratwurst and hot Italian sausage which comes with their hoagie roll. The sausages are super flavorful and juicy lol! They have a self serve station of different sauces too (cranberry, bbq, honey mustard, etc) and ketchup/mustard and relish too. We also got the all American smash burger. Overall really good meal! I want to try their Bavarian pretzel next time. The beers also come in different sizes so overall lots of options for a good bite and drink before you stroll the rest of the danish village!

Yelp

Yelp
The touristy spot and must visit when it's your first time. Lots of sausage choices along with flights to pair. Super friendly service. Outdoor picnic tables and benches. Condiment cart next to the register. Try all of their sauces mix and match to your liking. Had to get the pretzel of course. Though the beer cheese sauce maybe needed more oomph was a little too watery for my taste. Needed way more rue! Flights were great! The sausages had their hits and misses. Overall a good experience when it's your first time.

Yelp
Great service, worth the experience. We ordered a beer flight and sausage flight. There was so much food for two people. Love the outdoor seating and the experience.

Yelp
What can one say? A variety of tasty sausages and nice sides. The mustard bar is great for exploring different toppings. Love the large pretzel with cheese sauce. Service is nice and friendly. Lots of outdoor seating and clean bathrooms. Very fair pricing.

Yelp
Your MUST-go during a day trip! Good to try at least once. Food: They have a variety of sausages to choose from. I left the decision-making to the person behind the register and they gave me their top three recommendation. I also chose an additional one that my wife and I may like. Across from the registers, they have condiments such as different ranges of sauces and toppings to choose from. I didn't get to try any beers because I wasn't feeling it at the time but if I ever come back (and I will), I'll probably pair it with the sausage! Service: Service was okay. All young kids that don't seem to care that much about customer service. They seemed annoyed that we even showed up. Overall, I will most definitely come back if we're ever in town with friends. When? Definitely in the far far future.

Yelp
This place is awesome. I like the variety and quality of food and the beers are great too. Service is friendly and the dining beer garden thing is great and fits perfectly with the town. This is a staple for me!! My favorite sausage was the curry wurst, didn't think it would be but it is!!! Bread is soft and the potato salad authentic too.

Yelp
This place is a must to try when visiting Solvang! I recommend getting the sausage sampler so you can try different sausages. There a variety of unique sauces to try with the sausages as well! If you're getting the sampler, you can add the rolls for $1 each as well. The fountain drinks have free refills too, you just need to go up to the drink counter and ask.

Yelp
Located in the beautiful town of Solvang, this place is a solid choice for lunch or dinner. However, I will say that like most places here it was a little pricey. Parking is ample, either in lots or street. However if it's a busy time of the year then you may have trouble finding close parking. Service was ok, though I recommend getting a receipt or confirming what you ordered because a lot of people seemed to complain about their orders being wrong, and actually they got my order wrong by adding on a strawberry lemonade that I didn't order. Food was good. We ordered sausages, a pretzel, and a smash burger. The smash burger was meh. The pretzel was good but a little small in my opinion for what you pay. The sauces were very good, especially when paired with a solid dipping sauce and sauerkraut. We ordered bratwurst, currywurst, hot Italian, and kielbasa. My favorite was the currywurst. All very flavorful!

Yelp
Ok this place was pretty good. The sausages were over cooked and a bit basic but the pretzel and the cheese sauce were absolutely AMAZING! The beer was cold and large! My son loved the smash burger and fries. I also loved the cranberry sauce! Over all this place was good! I have wanted to go to Solvang so long and it didn't disappoint.

Yelp
Only outdoors. Good vibes and good service. The cashier talked us through the different kinds of sausages and drinks. The sauces were unique and flavorful. I would go back here. The cucumbers and pickled and a nice palette cleanser in between sausages.
