15 Best Things to Do in Copenhagen

"CopenHot is an al fresco spa ... sort of. There aren’t any massages here, but what it lacks in pampering it makes up for in coolness. Perched right on the water in the industrial-hip Nordhavn neighborhood, a cluster of wooden hot tubs and saunas overlook the water. Tubs can be rented for a group, or you can come to one of their open days. To warm up and chill out, you have several options. Barrel-wood hot tubs are filled with clean, mineral-rich saltwater and heated from below by a fire (note the dude chopping firewood on-site). The coveted sailing spas fit five people in a floating hot tub that navigate the canals. And panoramic saunas overlook the harbor." - Mary Holland, Jenna Scatena

A fun and unique experiences! The hot tubs, cold plunges and saunas were excellent. The vibes were very relaxing and CopenHot did a wonderful job not overcrowding the experience. I would highly recommend this!

A very nice experience, the hot tub has a 40 degrees water, and for the private tube you get access to sauna and cold water tub too. The fragrance of fire wood and background music are magical. There is a bar where you can order drinks. Towels are offered at the end or while using the sauna. The shower facilities are outside and very few (if you book the last spot in the evening consider some waiting time to shower out). The staff members are super friendly and check out if you need anything or can help with some memorable pictures. It is good to know that the location is somehow in the old industrial area, 10-15 mins walkable from A2 bus station. We've seen taxis picking up other customers too. We came by bycicle and it would be nice in the future to have some dedicated facilities for bike parking.

We visited the spa as a group of 5, and overall, we were satisfied. One of the highlights was the tub – a large barrel with hot water, which provided great relaxation. However, it's worth noting that there are only 3 showers in the complex, which sometimes wasn’t enough, and we had to wait in line. Also, the water in the tub was a bit dirty, and it would have been better if it were changed more frequently to improve comfort. Additionally, in one of the saunas, the door had a gap, causing the sauna to cool down quickly, which affected the experience. On the positive side, we were provided with towels at the end, which was a nice touch. The urban view from the spa area was really impressive — even though it was raining, we still enjoyed the atmosphere. You can also buy drinks, which adds to the convenience and comfort. The staff was very friendly and helpful, leaving a great impression. Overall, the spa is worth a visit, especially if you enjoy a mix of relaxation with an urban view and good service.

Fantastic sauna! Great facilities, including the really hot 2-person sauna we hired, a larger sauna that was slightly less intense (and good for first-timers to get used to the heat!) and the cold plunge pools were very refreshing. Showers, toilets and changing facilities were all very good condition and the staff were friendly and helpful. Would definitely go again and probably book a hot tub next time!

CopenHot is pretty speccy! The hot tubs, saunas and cold plunge pools are incredible, very dreamy and surreal amidst the back drop of the harbour, power station and CopenHill (seen in the picture). You can bring your own alcohol, yet also purchase drinks from the bar, its standard, so bringing your own is worth it! The magnificence of it all came at a hefty 1300dkk for a group of up to 6. Otherwise, you can enjoy a similar service for 350dkk pp where you share the services with up to four other people. A cool way to meet n greet if you're travelling alone. Hot tip...hydrate hydrate hydrate, before during and after:) Ps. One suggestion for the owners is that non-slip rubber mats would go a long way in preventing people from slipping on wooden planks. PLUS they're easy to keep clean and pack away! I'd 100% recommend a visit, despite the price, the hot tubs were insanely good.

Don't go there: tourist trap. It's located in a no mans land of gravel in a lost area of the harbor, no Danish there (the staff is English-speaking and doesn't speak Danish), no view of the harbor, which didn't reflect the photos gleaned from the web and no openness to negotiate a discount or credit when I mentioned the thing and my disappointment, no design (the commercial saunas and spas are arranged against each other in a disparate way), drinking water is sold in bottles; no possibility of filling the flask I'd brought with water other than tap water (polluting and so not Danish), renovation materials, large nails lying around the site, but worst of all : exposed electrical wires on the floor in the saunas, which come into contact with the water poured over the stones!! I walked out as soon as I saw that. When I’ll have a minute, I should report it to the authorities. In one word: bad.

Four of us had a nice experience at CopenHot on a beautiful sunny Copenhagen summer (almost) day. The tubs were hot, hot hot. The sauna was relaxing and also very hot! The plunge pools were a nice way to supercharge after jet lag. We also had dinner right around the corner at Reffen (delicious). We forgot to bring wine or beer which would have been nice to have. There were very few peps there bc there was a music festival happening down the street.
