The restaurant is located inside the hotel. I arrived around 1 PM after visiting Wawel Castle. The welcome was warm, and the restaurant itself was empty at that time. It is set in what appears to be a historic building full of character. It’s hard to describe in words—my pictures do it more justice.
The amuse-bouche was trout, very refreshing and well-prepared. After that, fresh bread was served with hummus and butter—both delicious. For my drink, I chose the house-made lemonade, which was refreshing and flavorful.
For the starter, I had spinach ravioli—full of flavor and a great way to begin the meal. The main course was cod, a beautifully balanced and delicious dish with a delicate sauce and soft, refined flavors—definitely a five-star experience.
For dessert, I had a salted caramel cream cake, which was the perfect sweet finish.
What surprised me the most was that the restaurant was completely empty! With so many tourists visiting the castle, I expected it to be packed for lunch. Perhaps it's because it's March and things are quieter, but still… this place deserves more visitors.
I would 100% recommend it for lunch. The total price was just under €50, excluding drinks.
