Copley House

We very much enjoyed our stay at Copley House. It was a very quiet location in a beautiful neighborhood. The young man at check in was super nice and informative. The only recommendation I would make to the proprietor is to add some softer pillows. If you like a firm pillow you are in luck, but if not make sure you bring your own which luckily we did. We would absolutely stay here again when we visit Boston.

I stayed in a small self-contained studio which was perfect for all my needs. Coveniently situatuated within the Back Bay area, with beautiful brown stone buildings, access to various means of public transport and within walking distance of Newbury Street, Boston public library and Trinity Church.||||The staff at Copley House were super helpful and accommodating when you needed help, otherwise you were left alone to come and go as you pleased.||||They were also kind enough to hold my luggage for a few hours after checking out which allowed me to do some last minute sight seeing and shopping.||||I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Copley House and would definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit to Boston. I absolutely loved it!

I have stayed here on several occasions. The location can’t be beat, it’s wonderful. The staff also is very friendly and accommodating. The rooms are clean. It would be nice if there were local regular TV stations instead of only streaming options. Boston is one of my favorite cities and getting the local news and sports is important.

We enjoyed 3 nights Oct 22-24 in a nicely furnished studio apartment on a quiet street in the Back Bay Area. The self-check in and out in was easy with detailed information by text. The location is ideal with coffee shops and small restaurants nearby for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Our apartment was very comfortable although not luxury. Boston is expensive and the price (over $400/night with taxes) was in line with 3.5 star hotels but had more charm. We walked to the Common, to MIT and Harvard (6 easy miles each day).

We loved the room! This place is seriously the best. The room was clean and comfortable, very conveniently located and accessible. The whole experience felt very “Boston authentic” and enhanced our time here so much! Great service with the available laundry machines and trash services. Overall an amazing experience!

Location, location, location!! We stayed here for a week at Christmas 2025. It was just perfect for us. Small, cute, clean, and convenient to literally everywhere!! Service was great as well. The front desk checked on us for parking and was available for anything we might have needed. We will stay here again!! Thank you to a great staff.

Copley house is the umbrella name for a number of studio or larger apartments in the Back Bay area of Boston. We stayed 3 nights. Our flight arrived on time at 7:30pm. Concerned about arriving by the 9pm admin in-person check in, they sent us self-check-in instructions which worked well. (We actually arrived by taxi at our assigned apartment by 8:15pm.) We requested a ground floor and it was confirmed. We loved the location on Back Bay: 5 minute walk to a coffee shop, good breakfast cafe, Starbucks, and a shopping center. Walk to the Boston Common and Visitor Center in 20 minutes or so to start the Freedom Trail. We also walked across the bridge to MIT, Harvard and back (about 6 miles RT all flat and used a bus once). The red brick building apartment is well-stocked with complete kitchenette, has a small but adequate bath with tub/shower, good bed with reading lights both sides, small eating or work table, and the area is very quiet. Although not luxury, it was quite comfortable. We traveled Oct 22-24 and found the pricing a bit high for the season, but it's a major city and 3.5 star hotel rooms are also in the same range without the 19th century vintage charm.

Super Easy to book & check in! All remote service similar to Airbnb. Loved the location! Quiet brownstone area with easy access to all things needed for my trip. The room size was ideal and the kitchenette really helped with saving time and money for breakfast + snacks. WiFi was spotty with the TV & the kitchen sink needed a stopper (couldn’t wash dishes easily) but minor issues. Not a fan of the coffee maker (off brand keurig), but I made hot tea instead: they even supplied a kettle for the stovetop. Felt secure with exterior cameras and code entry for both outside and room doors. Bed was very comfortable and quiet overall. Being near a music school, there were several hours of practice on two separate days from both connecting walls. lol. First day was flute and next was violin. At least they were playing well! I will totally use Copley House again as opposed to a hotel in the area. Much more adorable and more relaxing overall.

Copley House isn't one location, rather it's a bunch of different units located nearby in Back Bay. If you are planning on being in a specific street, you can not do that. They give you the address the day before your check in with codes and instructions on how to get in. Copley House communicates via text and always answered promptly anytime I had a question. We were lucky to get a brownstone located on St Steven Street, which was walkable to lot of places and near Berkelee School of Music and Northeastern University. We had a studio with a kitchen and balcony. We couldn't lock the balcony door but it was elevated and difficult to get to from the ground. Location was great, neighborhood was quiet...but the walls were so thin, which is apparently normal in Boston. I could hear every voice as they were coming in the main entrance at night and every door slam. We stayed in such a cute place.

We just got back from Boston, stayed at 3 hotels from Hilton Park Plaza, a luxury apartment in China Town and last 3 nights at Copley House. Everyone at front desk was helpful, we met with Sophia on the first day when we stopped and asked to preview the room first and she was nice and friendly. Price is the best for the location and convenience. Bed is very comfortable, it is a lot better than the bed at the apartment we stayed previously but $100 cheaper per night. We like that it has a lot of storages, we booked a one-bedroom-suite and bedroom is very small but we love the very comfortable king bed. Kitchen has enough supply for cooking. When we asked for help, they sent someone right away to take care of the issue. It's just a small issue that our mom didn't know how to use an item there and she was in the room by herself so we couldn't help her. We would stay here again if we go back to Boston.

My husband and I just spent a week in one of the few brownstone buildings managed by Copley House. It had all the necessities we needed for our stay and was conveniently located within walking distance to many shops, restaurants, cafes, and public transportation. It gave us a true Boston experience!!! We will definitely stay here again when in Boston.

The location was nice - lots of nearby restaurants and not too far from the Hynes Convention Center. However, I was expecting a hotel-like experience and this was not it. No front desk and limited amenities - no soap or conditioner in the shower, no lotion, and no housekeeping/cleaning during the entirety of my stay. The air conditioner spilled little specks of dust/dirt all over the table and any clothing/items I had underneath and the mugs were quite small so the Keurig promptly overflowed when I made coffee the first morning. There is no elevator and the staircase down to my basement apartment was very narrow, so definitely not accessible and far from ideal for anyone with mobility issues. However it was very clean (aside from the dirt that the AC spat out) so if you're a minimalist who doesn't need a lot of space or frills, this might be perfectly fine for your needs.

Copley House is so inferior! one star is too much. We made reservations through an agent and were tantilized with an in-room fireplace and refrigerator as a real amenity after exploring the Boston sites. This was supposedly a Deluxe King Suite! The fireplace was filled by a fake plant and the fridge didn't even have bottled water! EMPTY! The few items in the "kitchen" were cheap! DIRTY AND MOLDY BATHROOMS, OUTDATED KITCHEN FIXTURES AND NO WATER BOTTLES! The rate: $843.00 for two nights!!!! When I voiced my dissatisfaction, nobody was available to assist. When I responded to the manager satisfaction letter, I was offered 10% credit! And, these same rooms are also being sold as long term budget rentals for $130.00 per night! DO NOT CONSIDER STAYING AT COPLEY HOUSE!

Great location in walking distance to Copley Square - quiet, clean, nicely decorated with all the conveniences for a comfortable stay. Basically hassle-free - no contact - easy access to the key to get into the apartment. Good/responsive communications. The apartment where we stayed was a few blocks away from a Whole Foods and coffee shop - perfect location.

Our stay in the mini studio above the main office was great. Clean safe neighborhood, Quiet street, Comfortable bed, with small LR and mini kitchen. Loved it. Walking distance to many restaurants & Fenway park.

This is not your average hotel. Think more along the lines of an NYC studio apartment but smaller. Reminded us as if someone turned dorms into a hotel room. The concierge and check in is on one block, the parking is a couple min drive down another and then to get to your room, it's about a five minute walk from the car. While confusing and not exactly the easiest for an out of town stay, the room is was clean. What I mean by not average hotel is that there isn't a breakfast or room service or any calls to the front desk for extras. What's there is there and that's it. When you get in, it's set up very apartment style. So it's just a place with rooms, there isn't a front desk in the area you're staying, and if you need something you're a little SOL. However, it was a decent price and a place to rest our head for the night. Bed was comfortable at least and there is even a little stove in the room. I can't speak to service because there really isn't any. Good for a quick nights stay but not a prolonged one.

We enjoyed our stay here! Cooley House is situation in a great area. You can easily walk to nearby Newbury Street and T stations. Our rooms were both clean and had plenty of room. It was quiet within the building and the AC works VERY well. Front desk staff was helpful.

I've stayed at Copley House several times while visiting family in Boston--always spanking clean, quiet, and budget-friendly. The staff is very attentive and helpful. Wonderful location.

This isn't the worst place I've ever stayed, but it certainly isn't the best. The first thing that threw me about Copley House was before I even checked in. Upon booking, it stated that I would pay upon arrival. I thought this was a bit unusual, so I called and spoke to a Copley House employee who confirmed this for me. However, on August 23, I received an email stating that I would need to pay in full by Sept. 1 since my stay was during the Boston Marathon weekend. There had been no previous mention of this and now they were essentially giving me a week to pay over $2,000. I called and spoke with someone who I was led to believe is their manager? He was pretty disinterested and said that they usually send this email ASAP to anyone that books the Boston Marathon weekend but because of COVID they forgot to. I don't know how COVID affects an email that is sent annually but okay. He said there was nothing he could do for me, but then asked if I wanted to be charged Sept. 3rd instead. As if 2 days makes a huge difference I guess? Lol. So Sept. 1 rolls around and I'm not charged. A few more days pass. Finally I just call and ask them if I should still expect to be charged. I was nervous my reservation had been cancelled. My call spurred a charge, but just so weird overall. So serious about paying ON Sept 1st then not charging until I call. We checked in early Oct. The rooms are nice! There were three of us and we had plenty of space. The front desk employees didn't give us too much direction about how to find our building, but we got lucky and it was two doors down. We all agreed, though, that if we had gotten a building on another street it would have been difficult to find. We were so excited about the kitchen that we went out to buy groceries to stock the fridge. Lo and behold, we find out the next morning, the fridge was turned off. All of our food was spoiled. We attempted to call the front desk, but no answer as it was 8am and apparently they only take calls 9-6. We realized our iron did not work either but did not even attempt to call the front desk for that one. We were able to reach them regarding a wine bottle opener, which they said "should be in your room". Like we had just called without looking. They did bring us one and they were speedy with it! But that's about the only help we got the whole stay. Additionally, the bathroom had very little ventilation. There was a vent but it took a while to turn on and was not at all powerful. The walls had black mold on them. Super gross. There was also this giant hole in the wall in our living room area that we saw a bug or two run into.... Pics of both included. I know it is "apartment-style" rooms but it would have been nice to get fresh towels or have the trash taken out for us at least once -- especially when the front desk is so hard to contact. Towels were pretty gross and trash was completely overflowing by the time we checked out. I have never known a hotel to be so unavailable to their guests. If you don't care for decent hospitality but just need a decent space, I would recommend Copley House to you. If you DO care about decent hospitality, maybe book a different hotel.

Was not satisfied with the company house room we stayed in. It was room 821. I have to say the bed was pretty comfortable though. The bathroom needs a lot of work. Getting into the shower tub and out of the shower tub is not easy because it is retrofitted at least a foot off the floor. Navigating getting in and out of tub was difficult. The bathroom floor tiles were coming apart and thankfully I didn't cut my foot but I could've easily done so. In the living room area there are broken down heating units on the floor that are falling apart, the floor itself is old parquet flooring and it is also coming apart in several areas. Overall the floors were also quite dirty. I absolutely would not suggest staying here unless you look at the room first. I am sure I am sure there's other units that may be decent but the one we stayed at was not. We will be discussing this when I leave this morning with the management

The service from check in to check out was great. The location could not have been better, and the accommodations were very nice! I highly recommend choosing Copley House!

The Copley House was a perfect stay for my husband and I for 4 nights. The location is awesome, just around the corner from the underground transit system which is easy to navigate throughout the city. It is also right across the Prudential which is pretty much a mall and you can pay for floor 53, 360 degree view of Boston including the Harbor. There is plenty to eat and drink in the area less than a block away. The room itself is not high end and even had some patch work and minor damage however, everything was completely functional and given the price for slight eye sore, worth the trade. I have difficulty sleeping on vacation and I slept fantastic every single night. The beds are incredibly comfortable. The room had a table, microwave, toaster oven and refrigerator with small freezer. So you don't have to overspend on eating out if you are on a budget or prefer not to spend your time dining out although I have to say- the food in Boston was incredible. The front desk hours are limited however, they do have after hours help line. Bob, was able to help us reset our wifi when it wasn't working when we returned back after a day of adventure. He was very friendly and helpful. We stayed on the fourth floor and enjoyed the view of the neighborhood and it was mostly quiet considering it's a busy part of the city. We enjoyed our stay at the Copley House and would book again in the future.

When my boyfriend and I travel, we like our hotel to be good for sleeping and not much else. I found Copley House on Expedia and booked it, excited because it was way cheaper than the majority of Boston hotels, without requiring that we stay in a closet-sized room with a shared bathroom. I was nervous in the days leading up to our trip because there are many mixed reviews, but we didn't want to spend a lot of money to change hotels, so we stuck with it. We had a room in 19 Garrison, and we realized we had been upgraded to a king bed, which was amazing. The bed itself was super comfortable (much more comfortable than my own, so coming home was a bummer), and the room was pretty cute. The kitchen is fully stocked with cookware/dishware/cutlery, and the AC kept the room nice and cold (a blessing since it was so humid out). Location wise, we were super close to a T stop, Prudential Center, and walking distance to everything we needed. Some downsides: the WiFI was awful. So awful that I didn't bother staying connected to it during our stay. The shower pressure was also pretty bad, but it was an older building so I assume that's part of the reason.

The Copley House was the best stay I've had in Boston. The room provided was super clean and had everything I needed in it. I highly recommend this as a place to stay in Boston. Amazing location too. It felt like I was home! Super comfortable. Will definitely be returning for next stay!

Although small, the room was a nice, clean efficiency with a kitchenette. Parking onsite is very limited but other parking was available a few blocks from where our room was located. That was a bit inconvenient. All in all, this was a nice place for the money and conveniently located.

Awful. Terrible and I'm still a yuest closing a deal, just showing them and present danger around the world 95 degrees out and the ac doesn't work. Rude and totally unhelpful staff, d ont know what they're doing and since they don't speak English (they are rude Chinese) you can't tell them what's going on. TV doesn't work, lights dont work, no shampoo/soap in shower. No in-room phone.

We stayed at the Copley House location on St. Stephen. The room was huge, with a personal kitchenette and nice bathroom. There was even a fireplace with a mantle. Self check in was easy, and when we went to store luggage at the main location, the staff was exceptionally nice and helpful. I would definitely recommend this stay.

Pros: Beautiful neighborhood, convenient location, parking directly behind the building we were staying in. Cons: We booked Copley House specifically because we wanted a one bedroom suite. When we got to our room, we arrived to find that the "one bedroom" was merely a dividing wall between the bed and the rest of the room. There was no door and no privacy. I spoke to the front desk about it and was told "that's what we call a one bedroom suite." While they gave me the keys to check two other rooms, those rooms were also not one bedroom suites, and they would not do anything else to remedy the situation, despite me asking for management to follow up. They also charged us more for parking than was listed on their website and would not adjust that rate either, saying it was due to "inflation." The kitchen drawers were dirty and had crumbs in them, there was no dishwasher detergent, and no replacement of K cups or towels while we were there. Photos below show the two open doors to the "bedroom" and the space between the wall and the bed--- you need to walk into the living room and around in order to get to the other side of the bedroom. There are no dressers in which to store items, so all clothes need to be hung or in your luggage on the floor. It was not the worst place I've ever stayed, and we loved the location, but for the price the staff could be a bit more attentive and ACCURATELY represent their rooms and rates.

I would HIGHLY recommend staying with Copley House. My sister and I stayed in a Superior Suite for two nights with my dog and it was perfect for us. Location was amazing, close to T station (orange line), loved the coffee shops in walking distance, as well as OBSESSED with the unit -- classic brownstone! We also loved the self check in. Everything felt safe and would absolutely stay again!

We loved our stay at Copley House! We spent five nights at our studio on Garrison St. It was great to have our own place right in the Back Bay neighborhood. We paid the extra fee to have a dedicated parking spot just around the corner. Totally worth it, not to have the stress of finding one every time we used the car. (And parking in Boston is not cheap!) Although, with our location, we didn't need to drive much. We walked to Boston Common, the Freedom Trail, Fenway, and across the River to M.I.T. The Star grocery and CVS were a short walk away, and a bajillion restaurants were in walking distance, too. We found the staff to be helpful, and we liked it that we were on our own unless we needed something! Since Copley House is made up of many individual rooms in a several block area, it's not a traditional hotel. That's what we loved about it. We felt like we really got the feel of the area, and thoroughly enjoyed it!

My husband and I really loved staying at the Copley House. Everything was great and I would definitely stay there again. I traveled with a small dog and was very happy that there was no additional fee. Also there is a small dog park within 5 minutes walk from the hotel. The parking was only $25 and close to the room. The area is vey charming and close to all the sightseeings.

We stayed at the Copley House over St. Patty's weekend and we were not disappointed. We booked through booking.com so the property listed is not the one you will stay in when your arrive. They own 9 bldgs and our reservations were a couple blocks away. If you want to stay in 239 you must request bldg. Nonetheless, we had a nice suite for 3. Your own little kitchen area with utensils, plates and cups. Neighborhood is great. Close to all everything. You can Uber, take the T or walk. It was pretty cold that weekend and we did a lot of walking. We definitely recommend this hotel. Staff was so good to us from the two ladies that checked us in to Edwin who checked us out.

The hotel was quaint and architecturally gorgeous. The walls and thin and noise was a problem when trying to sleep. There were mice in the room. Sadly I had to move to another hotel after 2 sleepless nights.

My husband and I go to Boston every summer, but this year was different since we went on our mini honeymoon. We wanted to mix things up and try something new, and The Copley House delivered. We were going to end up paying double at another hotel, but I'm glad I stumbled upon this place. The main office and apartments are all located in cute brownstones surrounding West Newton Street. When we arrived, the front desk staff was very helpful and upbeat. Being more centrally located in the city made our walk to Fenway a lot easier than in the past. I booked a premium queen studio and ended up with a king, which was a nice surprise. We happened to get a basement apartment right next to the office, and landed a parking spot right outside our door. The added security of being off the ground floor would have been nice, but they make it enjoyable by adding a little patio right outside the door. Our room was very clean and spacious, however the floors felt a little dirty when we took our shoes off, but that's obviously not a deal breaker. The only issue I think we've had so far is the fan in the bathroom seems to be on its last leg and did not do a fantastic job ventilating. Other than that, I definitely think we will stay here again!

Excellent in every way. Friendly service, safe and quiet building in excellent location. Quiet, clean and kept up well. Great value. All around great.

My mom came for an extended stay to spend some time with her new grand daughter. The folks at Copley House provided a very professional and courteous level of service, and quickly responded to any issues that came up during her stay. We were lucky to find through them one of the few apartments in the South End with no stairs, from the sidewalk all the way to the apartment door. It's also a lovely location, right across from Titus Sparrow Park and next to the South End Corridor park/walkway. Great restaurants are right around the corner (Petit Robert), as is an excellent, independently owned market (South End Food Emporium).

A wonderful place to stay for a home like feel! Bring coffee and food and save on dining out. A great way to enjoy the back bay without the impersonal feel of a hotel.

Oscar let me check in at 9 am which is hours before usual check in times. That was a godsend because I had only slept maybe 30 minutes the night before. That would never happen where I'm from! I really want to thank him for what he did for me. What a wonderful way to start my stay in Boston! Thank you, Oscar!

3 stars for misrepresenting kitchen size. I loved our superior room it was very clean. Comfortable overlooking the dome of the church ( Scientology?;) anyway, Great location ! We had a noise issue which I did not address as I was so busy at convention I was attending. It was a running water flushing toilet kind of noise that occurred every 20 -30 seconds which is very noticeable when you trying to fall asleep. But I let that go as I was too tired to deal with it. My issue was with the "kitchen" which was frankly tiny. Small Fridge u get in every hotel room did not fit half the food we brought with us. I couldn't reach the toaster as it was at the ceiling on top of microwave on top of counter on top of fridge stacked like a lego set . Tiny counter stovetop didn't fit a pan. The fact is the pictures of this "superior full kitchen room" did not have a full kitchen , had I known I would have booked a cheaper room and not have planned on cooking...

Exceeded my expectations. From the moment we arrived the gent at the front desk was there to help. He was very friendly and answered any questions we had. Our room, Budget Studio, was perfect for us. Nice comfy bed, great view, clean bathroom, no where near as loud as some of these reviews stated. And might I add LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION. Close to the green line in the Pru, always a Lyft available, and close to a 7Eleven and a liquor store for drinks and snacks. Great location, well worth the money. Will be staying here again, for sure.

This place is horrific. We stayed here for my Harvard graduation, for which the prices, given that it was graduation weekend, were very high. We payed over $700 for two nights thinking we had found an alright, not fancy but not horrible place with a great Boston location (which it does have), and instead found ourselves in a hotel room with no bathroom and paper thin walls and a disgusting bed. It is 100% my error for not taking more care to register that the listing did, in fairness, say shared bathroom. That being said, when one is looking at a $300+/night hotel room, I don't think it's that crazy that out might not double check that the room had a bathroom. Given that it would never phase me that it wouldn't. When I asked to upgrade the room, the man at the front desk was extraordinarily rude, and basically suggested that if I was so poor to have selected the low price room, I wouldn't have been able to afford the available non-shared-bathroom rooms anyway. The bathroom, in a hallway shared among 5 rooms is small and gross with bugs in it and no soap. The walls of the hotel are very thin. All of the other occupants were very well mannered and not being loud, but we could nonetheless hear everything they said and woke up every time they came and went. Shoot yourself in the face before you voluntarily stay here.

WE ABSOLUTELY LOVE STAYING HERE!!!!! My son goes to school in Boston so we spend a lot of time here and this is the only place we will stay when we are in town! It's in the perfect location for walking everywhere with lots of places to eat!! They allow me to bring my very old little dog with us and are always so helpful in accommodating us so we are able to conveniently take him outside. They have always helped us with parking right behind the building or only a short distance walk in a nearby garage. The apartments are clean, comfortable and very updated. The neighborhood is adorable and very safe. It feels like home to us! We highly recommend checking out this cozy little home away from home!

What a nice surprise to find this place. I had no idea this hotel/inn was here, and I have to thank hotels.com for suggesting this. Copley House is far more affordable than the other luxury hotels in the area, but so much cleaner, better, and comfortable than most of the other smaller inns and guest houses in the area. I can't believe it took so long to discover it! Service is on par with a nice 4-star, and the rooms are ridonkulously spacious, clean, filled with home-away-from-home features, but best of all, the location is absolutely perfect. You're in a very comfortable residential part of the neighborhood, but only steps away from restaurants, bars, and shopping. Best of all, it doesn't have a single air of that touristy feeling that sticks to you like honey on chest hair. Is it perfect? No. But you're at an inn, and after staying in more than 12 inns in the city and nearby, they ALL have certain flaws, and it really comes down to human error, timing, or sheer not-so-good luck. My room wasn't made up on schedule one day, but honestly, not a big deal, considering that I'm saving more than 50% from prevailing luxury hotel rates (where I am NOT as forgiving for the premium paid). Definitely one of my 2 top picks for guest house/inns, and the only time I don't stay here is when I'm on a tighter budget for the trip. Yep, I'm a fan :)

Basement apartments are discounted but basement hotel rooms aren't. The basement location and limited lights were a huge disappointment for a budget busting room. I also booked with Copley House bases on the location but was housed in an offsite location that was a surprise to me . Our upstairs neighbors must have been on European time as the dragging of furniture and thumping started at 2 am and continued until 8 am. I won't be staying again.

Copley House is comprised of several 19th-century brick row houses within walking distance of the Prudential Center. I had a roomy studio, with double bed, convertible sofa, dining table, and kitchenette. My accommodations were basic and comfortable, with some old-fashioned character that set them apart from chain hotels. Three big windows overlooked the back alley, which is wide and attractive -- more like a private lane than an alley. There was no noise from the street or the other rooms; people's comings and goings in the hallway were noticeable though short-lived. My complaints are minor: I could have used better light for reading. I couldn't figure out how to adjust the thermostat (or even if I had the ability to do so), and the room was a bit cool in the morning. Even so, I prefer this to most hotel rooms, which tend to be overheated. Parking is available in the alley behind the building, which was super convenient and quite inexpensive by Boston standards. Lined by brick townhouses, the street is lovely, and there's a pretty park across the street from the Copley. I enjoyed a good breakfast at the charmingly retro Charlie's Sandwich shop right around the corner. There's easy access to the T and the highway. I'd stay here again without hesitation.

This a a great place to stay. Very clean and the bed and pillows were super comfortable. Location was superb. I loved the kitchenette. One drawback was that this was a small apartment that was not in the main hotel but in a building a few blocks away from the hotel....so no front desk to ask for information or to grab a tube of tooth paste if you forgot yours like I did. Great location and super clean. The price was fantastic when compared to other hotels. I'd stay there again for the location and price.

Amazing apartment style hotel. Spacious, comfortable, fully stocked with kitchen supplies. We stayed in the budget suite and it was perfect. Also perfect location and close to the MBTA. We would definitely recommend and would love to come back.

We stayed here for 4 nights and it was a delight. Our studio apartment was on the top floor of the main office building. It was clean, nicely decorated, great size and had all the amenities you would require. There is a maid service which was a pleasant surprise and makes it feel even more like a hotel. The location of the Copley is perfect, Boston is a walking city and here you are in prime location for walking anywhere, it is on a beautiful street with all brownstone buildings and it made us feel like we were living in Boston. I was extremely happy with everything the Copley has to offer, including the price. If we ever return to Boston, this is where I will stay and I would highly recommend it. It's perfect.

Great location. Especially while the flowers are blooming. Close to everything. The property condition is the issue. We asked for anything but a basement room and were given a basement anyway. It was musty and didn't feel secure. The bed was comfortable and the linens were nice. We also appreciated the very low noise level. The problem is the dated condition of the room. The shower is so small you can't turn without the curtain sticking to you (note I'm 5'2 and petite). The floor of the shower was also caving in. It was very uncomfortable and felt unsafe. Bring your flip flops if you stay here. The sink in the bathroom was also cracked and caving in. It seemed to be a theme. The a/c in the window is very old and smelled musty when run as well. The kitchen is a nice perk if staying more than one night. We didn't use it. For the price there are better options if only the basement is available. We'd give them one more chance in a 2nd floor room but will never stay again without that guarantee. The alley that had easy access into our room was filled with trash.

BEWARE. Reviews on this place are very uneven -- I wish I had read more before I booked, thinking we were getting a good value for the money in a prime location. The location is great, but the cost is comparable to the Hilton or Sheraton nearby and not at all worth it. Positives: the location is outstanding and the WiFi was strong in our room. The bathroom is OK and the bathroom exhaust fan worked very well. There is AC. There is a kitchenette (but really, comparable to what you'd get in a regular hotel room plus dishes -- no dishwasher and it's strictly wash your own dishes; housekeeping didn't touch them). Negatives: The pictures on the hotel's website are VERY misleading compared to what we got. We knew the property was multiple buildings, but they are NOT all adjacent -- after check-in, we had to walk 2-3 blocks to our building (with our luggage) to a location at 171 St. Botolph. Be aware of this possibility if you come in a cab/Uber/Lyft and can't walk that far. Our BASEMENT room had no window, just a sliding door with a blind over it - claustrophobic when the blind was closed. The "patio" was a brick area with a bench outside our neighboring room's window, with a security fence/gate to the alley. Water dripped all night from the fire escape when it rained, and mosquitos came in if we opened the door (no screen). The room was painted a dark blue, and around the low ceiling, pipes are exposed (it is a basement). The room had water damage on the walls. The bed was very worn out/uncomfortable. The twin sleeper sofa had stained cushions and an old, creaky mattress. There weren't enough pillows for the sofabed (which was a twin, not a double as advertised). Housekeeping made the bed but didn't touch dishes, and the second night pulled up sheets on the foldout but tossed the blanket on some cushions on the floor. That and the fact that the bits of junk on the bathroom floor (including what looked like coating from electrical wires - a couple of 1/2" pieces that weren't anything we brought in) remained there after two days of housekeeping made me question how clean the place was. No luggage rack - just a rickety plastic folding chair. Had a table, but we used it for luggage because I did not want luggage on the floor. No vending or laundry in our building. The flight of stairs was steep, with short steps - would be dangerous to walk down if you aren't careful. When I complained after our stay, they would not do anything.

Amazing old building in a convenient part of the city. However our room was not as advertised, so we asked to switch rooms since it could not accommodate us. The website said there was a couch, but there was not one. There was also nowhere to put our clothes so everything had to stay on the floor. We got our rooms switched and were pleased with the new room. However while we were out n about, we got a call from Copley house saying they were going to install a shower door in our room while we were gone. We rushed back to the lobby to figure out how they thought that was a good idea. The manager made US feel bad that he would have to reschedule this installation because we were never supposed to be in that room in the first place. We had to basically beg him to postpone the shower installation until after we leave. He was so rude! The first rule of running a damn hotel is making sure your guests are comfortable! He tried blaming the situation on the receptionist because English isn't his first language, and when he called to tell us about the installation he called it a window. But that doesn't matter! He coulda said shower door and it would still be wrong! You don't let contractors in a guests room while they are staying there and have all their personal belongings there! Total disappointment from the manager.

Stay away, the photos on the website are misleading. Highly expensive for a unclean room with stained couches and pillows and carpet. The wooden doors are super cheap and the walls are super thin; I could hear my neighbors conversation from his room clearly as if he was in my room. The bathroom has mold and the tub looks unclean. You're better of staying at club quarters or one India street apartments if you're able to book early enough. Never again!

This hotel was excellent. When I flew in from France for 6 days just over 3 years ago to scout for apartments and get ready for college, my mother and I stayed there. We loved the hotel, the rooms, and the area we stayed in. Everything was accessible. We had restaurants in the Prudential mall, the T nearby and Boston at our reach... just steps away from us. We were plenty busy and really enjoyed the fact that we could relax in our rooms, and even store our own food in the fridge. They also have a microwave and we went shopping and whipped up some amazing french food in no time in our little mini kitchen. We usually used it mostly for breakfast but occasionally had dinner there to avoid spending extra money on dinner. The staff there is very friendly and it is a very quiet hotel, away from the noisy Huntington Avenue nearby. It is also a very clean one. It is authentic in many ways but very well maintained. We left happy.

I love this place. First of all, the staff is very accomodating. The look is antiquated but clean. It's nearby Boylston St and the malls but most of their apts are situated by cul-de-sac streets. Very quiet. The only con is the parking which you have to pay for.
