This place is delicious. We ended up going here 3 day in a row. Amazing Italian food. Their ravioli was top notch. Fettuccine with pork was out of this world. Don’t get me started on their desserts, basically an orgasm in the mouth. Great prices & Large portions mixed in either the crazy flavor made this place one of the best of the whole trip. Service was fast and friendly. Overall go here you won’t be disappointed!

Nice restaurant with lovely service and a wide variety of vegetarian options for the region. Also very nice they have all day kitchen, super convenient! Verrrrry delicious i recommend the pumpkin almond ravioli!

I have tried a variety of dishes on the menu and have been impressed with every one! The atmosphere is so charming, the staff is kind and the wine menu is expansive! Love this place!

It is very nice and cozy place. The food are very tasty. The pesto sauce can be more oily. But the rest was amazing. The music is good music with the ambiance of the place

The staff was very nice, the pizza was very tasty and the pasta too, however it was too salty for my taste. Otherwise very good service and food.

This place is to die for and is genuinely some of the best Italian food in Spain. Do not miss going here if you’re visiting Bilbao. My favorite dish is the pesto with mushrooms and parm. You will not regret ordering this dish, I promise!! Only thing is that I’d recommend calling before for a reservation as it is a very popular place.

We came in to Coppola after visiting the Guggenheim in Bilbao and we were looking forward to an authentic Italian meal and we were not disappointed. Every dish was delicious and presented beautifully. The young man who took our order was worried we had ordered too much food but we happily ate every bite. I hope the kitchen knows what a great job they are doing, the dinner was stellar. My husband and I are both chefs and we're very impressed with all the food.

We didn't have a reservation but staff worked us in between bookings. Servers were excellent! (Related restaurant next door was booked and we preferred the atmosphere in Coppola.) Felt like a regular pizza joint that also has fresh salads, main rice and pasta dishes. Our salad was fresh and plentiful and the pizzas were awesome. We want to come back tomorrow for the risotto and pasta dishes.

We really enjoyed our meal here- especially since they serve food before 8. Reservations are highly recommended. The pastas were good and the word was out with non-Spaniards that they might get food before 8pm. Limited space, and the one waitress was working really hard! The one must is the shortbread ice cream, house made. One of the best I've ever had!

Food was excellent! It's a small place-but service was good and friendly. We ordered the meat lasagna, caprese, arriabiata pasta and the tiramisu.

Food was solid. Expansive menu. Small, homely feeling ambiance. I ordered the Raviola Zucca which was different and the pumpkin flavor was great. Sat us right away. Biggest problem was my son's pizza took forever as they either forgot about it or gave it away to go. Our original waitress didn't apologize or inform us the pizza was on its way. His pizza didn't arrive until after we were done eating our dishes.

Best restaurant in Bilbao......good service and food. Not a fan of Spanish food in general.

Ordered the carbonara and the Bilbao pizza- the carbonara was pretty light and simple which is what we wanted. The pizza flavor was great but the pizza itself was very floppy. Also, initially went to Coppola but the waiter told us to go next door to their sister restaurant because It was full, but then proceeded to seat others? The wait at the other restaurant was a little long so we changed our order to go. Overall food was pretty good, the wait is long and expect that there might be some difficulty if your Spanish isn't at an intermediate or higher level

Wow! Incredible food! I came to Bilbao with a goal to try lots of food, and I did, however Coppola was sooo good, I ate here two nights in a row! Come early so you can get a nice seat. Relax and enjoy the music and vibes here. Get an app or two, a nice drink, and of course, an incredible pizza. We ordered enough to take back to the hotel with us for a snack the next day. Give this place a shot, I know you'll like it. Hey, tell them Nate sent you, they'll have no idea what that means.

I ate here twice recently. Pizzas, breads, and salads were excellent and portions large. Also has a great selection of beers and wines. You can't go wrong here.

The food was delicious! We had the lasagna and Diavola pizza. My husband said to mention that the homemade bread was delicious too. They asked if we had a reservation which we did not. They did seat us and let us eat their yummy food. Everyone was was very nice.

Great ambiance, amazing friendly staff. The food is very good, tasty and cooked to perfection. The restaurant is clean. Opens at 1pm. Worth the wait if you are craving pizza.

Such a great place. The pizza, pasta and wine were excellent. Great artwork and fun atmosphere. Highly recommend.

Vegan friendly. Pizza with tomato, mushroom, basil. No cheese but a nice red sauce. Crispy crust. Ate way more than I needed, but it was so good. Really appreciate the effort of the staff to make something special for me. Comida vegana. Pizza con tomate fresco, champiñón, albahaca. Nada de queso. Una buena salsa de tomate. La masa bien crocante. Comí demasiado, pero fue delicioso. Agradezco al mesero y el cocinero por hacer me algo especial.

This is a great place to go before or after going to the Guggenheim museum. It's about a ~7 minute walk from the museum--we went around 3:30pm and had to wait 10 minutes for a table but it was worth it! TO NOTE: this place is technically called Francis Ford And is right next door to Coppola's--the servers said the restaurant is the same thing. The cuisine is Italian, they have tons of pizza choices and a good amount of pastas, salads, and risottos. We got the Criolla Pizza and Blanca Pizza which was great for three hungry people. We even had some leftovers! The Criolla was especially good with mushrooms, almonds, and creole sausage! It did say there was truffle oil on the pizza which we did not taste. Instead they do provide complimentary chili oil that was amazing to drizzle on top of the pizzas! Waitstaff was friendly and spoke some good English. The restaurant is a bit nicer than casual, although we didn't dress up at all. I think they are used to tourists!

My husband and I came by for an early dinner and had the burrata and primavera pizza for dinner and we enjoyed both. The primavera was an interesting combination of toppings (arugula, apples, walnuts) which I was intrigued by and liked although I'm not sure that it would be a hit with everyone. The crust had a really nice thin and slightly chewy/slightly crispy consistency. We also had the bread as a starter which I also really enjoyed. Our server was friendly and prices are very reasonable considering the sizes of the portions. I recommend checking them out!

After reading the Yelp reviews, my wife and I decided we would give it a try. The ambiance is very nice. The wait staff was wonderful and the food was amazing. We started with the bread and olive oil which was very good. I had the lasagna which I could not finish (and I'm a 220 pounder with an appetite that matches my size). It was absolutely wonderful. Plenty of meat and cheese. Very tasteful. My wife had the Capone spaghetti which she really enjoyed. We arrived early and was seated with no problem, but if you eat late, I would suggest making a reservation as seating is limited. If you're in the mood for Italian while in Bilbao, this is the place.

Thanks to Google, we ended up at a location with Coppola signage but an empty shell of a restaurant. Luckily, we happened to walk another block the opposite direction of the Guggenheim and my wife saw the sign for the newer Coppola restaurant. We walked into the restaurant and were asked for reservations. We didn't have any, but the waitress said we could stay if we can finish our meal within an hour, before the locals with reservations came in. We like fast service anyway, so it worked for us. We shared an order of Morenquina pizza and a salad. I wish I could remember the name of the salad because it was a damn rockstar. The salad had fresh homemade ricotta cheese, walnuts and and amazing raspberry sauce. The Ricotta and raspberry together made its own dressing - adding any of your usual dressing would simply ruin the salad. We contemplated returning again just because of this salad prior to leaving the next day. The pizza was also great. The tomato sauce was freshly made, seemingly from scratch at the restaurant. I really liked the pizza - my wife was slightly disappointed at the lack of crispiness of the pie, but we both agreed it was still one of the best meals we had on our European trip.

We definitely recommend reservations for this place. Thankfully there was one spot left but we were told we could stay only one hour or so to make room for the crowd. We enjoyed a delicious dinner of gnocchi pasta with pesto and a veggie pizza. Highly recommend eating here and would come back again.

Good salad and pizza at this spot! On Sundays they have music, so if you're looking for some rock enjoy, check this place out.

This place was so good! We were a little worn out of tapas and wanted something equally delicious. This place was definitely the answer. Everything was excellent!

Fantastic homemade focaccia. Pasta and pizza were excellent. I am amazed at how the small staff does it. We ate early, around 7, but most tables were full. Priced well and portions are generous. The server, who also was bartender, hostess and busboy, is friendly and sweet.

Excellent and a good deal compared to rip off places in old town. Fresh seafood and pasta! Next door Frances Ford is the same place, same menu open before 8pm.

Look. I don't know much about international travel, so I've been having some difficulty with finding good places. I happened to run across the posting for Coppola and my hotel happened to be close. The guy asked if I had a reservation. I look around at the empty tables and wondered why. Minutes later, a ton of people strolled in. So I ordered the safe lasagne. I will tell you, this was some of the best lasagne that I've ever had. I was so good that I started getting upset because my belly was getting full. My wife had the margarita pizza and refused to let me carry the box as we walked back to the hotel for fear that I would eat a slice. Great little place in case you are ever in the area preparing to run with the bulls like me in Pamplona.

Really enjoyed the pizza. But the stench of cigarette smoke wafting through the air was horrible. Yes, smoking inside Spanish establishments is now banned. But that didn't stop every bar tender, waiter and 99% of the patrons (me and my hubs were the 1% in this situation, ha) from stepping just outside the OPEN door to suck poison into their lungs and blow cancer causing fumes into the restaurant. Ugh, disgusting. My clothes and hair stunk by the end of the night. Otherwise, good establishment.

THE BEST PIZZA YOU WILL EVER EAT EVER. This is an american talking, so I have had my experience with pizza. The Bilbao pizza is the most amazing thing ever and I would honestly buy a flight to Spain just to eat it again.

The food and and service where excellent the place has a great vibe unfortunately I arrived a bit early and left as the place was filling up. I would definitely recommend it pizza and beer what more do you need.

Fantastico! We enjoyed a great dinner at this restaurant after a day at the Guggenheim Museum. It can get busy so you may want to get a reservation for the dinner hours. Be sure to try their Tinto Verano drink which puts many a Sangria to shame. Looking forward to returning!

At the end of a 10 day Spanish food for every meal vacation, we were in need of some Italian food. I can't speak to authenticity, I can speak to flavor though and they delivered. We started with an appetizer of smoked cheese, eggplant and tomatoes with their signature bread that was sinfully delicious. We followed that with the Coppola pasta dish, also a mouth full of flavors that were gluttonously worth it, by this point we were unable to eat another bite so we had to take our pizza to go for a late night snack/breakfast before our flight home.

Sat at the bar last minute. No reservation needed. The pizza was fantastic, some of the best I've had. The prosciutto was so thin and crispy, pizza nirvana! I wish I could find the same in Houston!

Local pizza place with good service and food that opens early (for Bilbao). The jamon and funghi pizza was good! Thin crust with a good amount of Iberian ham and mushrooms.
