This restaurant is a hidden gem! Amazing food, generous portions, cozy atmosphere, warm and welcoming staff. We have been here many times but went this weekend with a large group. Everything was superb. Try it. You will not be disappointed. 🥰❤️🍸🍷

My wife came to the restaurant for the first time. We are big seafood lovers. We ordered a cheese platter, clams on the half shell, seafood salad, and Scungilli over linguine in a red hot sauce. We shared everything. Everything was delicious. My wife felt that the clams were not fresh, but I disagreed with her. I thought the portion was a little small for the prices, but everything now a days cost a lot. The wine selection was adequate, per glass, and bottle prices were a little high. The menu was huge a lot of choices. The dessert was very good, and Cappachino was so-so. Was surprised to see they did NOT charge you extra for using a credit card. That surprised me. Because every other restaurant does. I would definitely come back and other seafood items. Service was perfect, location perfect. No wait.

The food was amazing! But the service had something to be desired. We had to wait an hour for our entree. But it was really amazing 🤩! And it’s right off the beach.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Coral Bay Cafe, and I must say it was a great experience. The service was top-notch, with a friendly and attentive staff who went above and beyond to ensure our dining satisfaction. The calamari was simply fantastic. It was cooked to perfection, crispy and golden. The oysters were fresh and delicious too. All the special appetizers were great. Thank you for a wonderful dinner.

This is an exceptional location on the bay. Surprising, romantic, amazingly tasty, cozy, not expensive for this level of cuisine. It is so delicious that there are no words! Cafe in a quiet residential area. Good for dinner! It is definitely worth a visit and you will definitely add it to your list of your favorite places!

I found this place on Google maps and brought my fiancée one day to try it out. The weather was perfect to sit outside and we arrived before it got crowded. We had an amazing time. Our waitress was incredibly knowledgeable. Our food was delicious and our time spent was delightful. This place is a real gem, my fiancée and I have been telling everyone we know about it since.

We had to sit outside because my cousin had the dog with them, but it was very good until the sun went down and the mosquitoes came out to feast on us. The food was very good and the server,Kimberly, was so nice. Appetizers were the usual fried calamari, baked clams and cheese stuffed zucchini flowers. All very tasty. Entrees of pasta with clams,shrimp and broccoli rabe, shrimp francese, clams over fusilli and my incredible pork chop parmigian that was the size of a tomahawk steak! We all enjoyed it and even took some home. Coral Bay Cafe was very good and I would return again, but definitely bring mosquito repellent if you're looking to dine " AL fresco"

Zero complaints regarding food quality, service, and atmosphere. The coral bay shrimp is delicious, but be wary of the specials. They charged me $60 for a stuffed bone-in veal chop special. Stick to the menu.

Excellent food excellent choices of entrées. Everything is made to order and the service and drinks were excellent. We're going for New Year's day with our family to have a great early dinner it's nice to have a place that's open on New Year's Day . Also it's great that they don't charge a fee for the credit cards five stars on the food and always they make you feel welcome.

Friendly staff out of this world food, this place is a hidden away gem! I went for lunch on a Tuesday and I can't wait to go back.

i have been there a few times food is always great they treat you like family great place to dine and meet friends for drinks also they have many kinds of beer on tap with state of the art taps beer is always cold try it you will not be disappointed.

A true hidden gem! The waterfront location is beautiful, and the calamari is the best I've ever had. Kymberlyis an exceptional waitress--warm, attentive, and makes a fantastic espresso martini. She makes you feel like family. I love everything about this place--the food, the atmosphere, and the drinks (even if they're a bit on the pricey side). See you tomorrow!!

We visited Coral Bay cafe last month. The food and service was wonderful. We had delicious dinner paired with some great wine. The fish was fresh. The dining area is beautifully decorated.

So lovely, walking distance from home, by the coast and the best seafood on the Island. Lucky Tottenville!

We were greatly disappointed by the service here. As a new homeowner to the neighborhood I was excited to try the place out but was greatly disappointed as soon as we entered. The bar and restaurant were empty and we wanted to have a drink at the empty bar. Waitress says wait to see if there's a table and begins to look at a list while we wait uncomfortably. she says they have a table and we tell her we just want a drink at the bar. we are allowed to sit, were served and NOT ONCE did they ask can I get you something? are your drinks ok? We will never go back there, we felt very disrespected.

Very friendly service. Food was good. But a little pricey. Got seafood over linguini. One shrimp, little sungili,few clams and mussels. Alot of calamari that was super tuff and chewy. Bread was rubbery. $40.00 . There are hundreds of Italian restaurants in the area. With better food and better prices. Tried it and don't recommend it.

Never had just an ok meal here! The food is on the money! Atmosphere is great along with the service. Love bringing family & friends here! I highly recommend! A must try!

Food - very good service / great. only complaint - Small Soda was $4.00 per glass.... loaded with ice ....and NO FREE REFILLS. All restaurants give free refills , especially at those prices .

I think this restaurant is wonderful, the food and atmosphere were excellent. BUT charging almost $18 a glass for a house wine is RIDICULOUS!!!!! Never looked at menu, just asked for a glass of Cabernet. It would deter me from ever coming back for this reason alone.

Absolute gem!! haven't been to this restaurant since before super storm Sandy, as they were basically devastated and just reopened a year or so ago, so happy we found them again. Food is superb & the service was wonderful! Extensive menu! Kimberly and Jacob are second to none! Awesome local spot! highly recommend this restaurant if you're looking for excellent food, great service and just an enjoyable time all around!!

Great fresh food. It's always good here. Seafood always fresh. The Octopus came out with the most delicious sauce, that we even asked for more bread.Awesome place

Probably 4 1/2 stars would be more appropriate. Place was busy inside and out but we sat at the bar for a bite and some beer/wine. Owner greeted us and said she'd look to accommodate us on a busy Sunday afternoon but we sad we'd gladly eat at a small nice bar. Ordered zucchini flowers which were fried in kind of a croquette style that were delicious. We split "fettuccine lobster". The pasta was full of chucks of lobster and shrimp. So with a cute place set by the sea and a nice bar and an attentive owner this place is definitely worth a visit. We'll be back

Very nice little spot by the water. I sat at the bar with a friend and ordered two Margarita's, a watermelon and Mango one. Steve, the bartender made the two of them perfectly. We also had an order of fried calamari that were made to perfection! It was very busy inside and out. Our only complaint was the very small parking lot. Definitely recommend.

Waited an hour and half for a to go order ... was told long wait to be seated at 8p on a Saturday night so we did a to go ... 25 mins later restaurant is empty and 9p no food and 910 no food finally at 930 after who I think was the owner behind the bar couldn't look at my face anymore was telling me they are working on my bread now.... It was my wedding anniversary and I sat at the bar of a restaurant waiting for food and watching people who came in after me served and pay and leave before a to go order .... She blamed my pork chop no I blame the staff and management.... And even after waiting that long didn't offer a free drink at the bar or pack a piece of cake for after dinner.... As a sign of good faith not expecting a freebie but it would have been good business... shame on them

Dined at Coral Bay for the first time tonight, it was absolutely delicious. Started with the zucchini flower special and baked clams, both were great. For dinner we had the fried soft shell Francese style over risotto, filet of sole stuffed with crab meat and grilled calamari with spicy sauce. All were really great and we will definitely be back.

Coral Bay Cafe is a hidden gem on the Island. The food is exquisite and refined. A very large menu with top notch ingredients. It is not unknown though. It draws a big crowd on the weekends and has a tremendous loyalty costumer base. After you enjoy your meal I suggest you get an espresso or espresso martini and walk just steps to the beach front and enjoy the sunset. Salute'

The restaurant looks exactly like it did before sandy! Great family, great staff. If you are looking for fresh fish this is your spot! The coral bay shrimp is something you will not find anywhere else. Again fresh fish, Alaskan king crab legs, oysters, clams and can't go wrong with lobster! I wish you had a view of the water, would make it the top notch summer spot. The only thing that's rough was parking, they have a small parking lot but since it is a residential street with a lot of homes parking was very tough. It wasn't super expensive but prices are up there. Will definitely return on a nice warm day.

Holy cow I haven't been to a restraunt in a while that ticks all of the boxes !! Food was on point, service was incredible the place was cool and I even found a parking spot. For a place that has been down since hurricane sandy it's encouraging that they actually made a come back. The arugula salad was solid featuring a a lemony dressing . The special hot and sweet calamari was NOT deep fried but yet somehow still crispy and delicious. It even had enough spice .For dinner my wife had the lobster tail which was fantastic and I had the fettuccini in a cream sauce .. the maccaroni dish had a pesto component which was incorporated into the sauce . It really was fantastic, featuring 5 nice shrimp and 3 or 4 big pieces of lobster. I was reluctant to give them 5 stars but some times you have to grab your balls and pull the trigger.. Oh and by the way the price was reasonable !!!! What more could ask for ... Please excuse my wife's boob in the one picture or don't , I don't care !

I went to the Coral Bay Cafe for the first time yesterday and was very pleased with the service and the food as well as the location by the water. I was surprised to read some of the negative reviews because my party and enjoyed our meal and would go back again.

Amazing food. It was my first time trying this place since I just moved from California. The pistachio dessert was my favorite. I even ordered another one after I finished my first! Seriously recommend. Will go in day time in the future so I can see the lovely view of the water !

They're a bit on the pricey side, but it's a nice joint. It's located at the end of a rich residential street that has nice beach access that I would highly recommend exploring before you leave. Decent espresso.

Excellent food and exceptional service at this hidden gem on Staten Island. Everything was so fresh. The ambiance makes you feel like you're on vacation.

One and done. Food was good but portions were small. On a weekday the noise level prevented you from conversing with your companion. The wait staff was by far the worst we've encountered. No conversation. Didn't ask if we wanted drinks when he dropped off the menus [we had to call him back], and after the main course just dropped off the bill, no 'would you like a coffee or desert', nothing! But the worst of the worst was when he came out with the lobster bisque AND my main course at the same time. For what we paid one star is more than adequate.

What a great little Gem which has survived more then any business should. After hurricane Sandy destroyed them, they finally recovered as Covid shutdowns hit. Opened for a short time and now new restrictions with the weather getting colder. I only had the opportunity to be here 1x recently & truly enjoyed my experience. The service and attention given by this family owned restaurant was more then a person could ask for. They treat you like family. The ambiance is quaint and perfect for a few friends or date night. The food is true Italian food, especially the "Polenta Croquettes" which were a special on this particular evening. It is a family recipe from Sicily. I highly recommend ordering these if they are available. Thank you for making my evening special & I will definitely be returning as soon as possible!

I've been living on this island for 50 years and I figured it was about time to check out Coral Bay with my family for dinner. I couldn't believe the location Which overlooked The water into New Jersey. Much to my surprise I ordered an antipasto with Gnocchi. My wife ordered the chicken Florentine and then my children split up a meal. The staff was super friendly and the service was a 10. I usually finish off my meal but they gave us so much food that I didn't even have enough room for dessert. They are very kid friendly as my twins are 12 years old.. place is very clean and there is plenty of parking. I would highly recommend to anyone and I will be coming back soon..

We thought Staten Island had a new ocean front restaurant.. Unfortunately My wife and I were disappointed in the whole experience.. Seemed staff was interested in regulars only. Very inexperienced.. I had to remind the waiter what we ordered..we never got our entree.. This was two hours later... I requested the check for the drinks we had.. that took 1/2 hour.. PPE was not worn correctly.. They said sorry but no compensation.. Zero rating..

I had my 60th birthday here in a tent outside with 12 people from my family Food was amazing! The waitress could not have been nicer Had an amazing experience I will definitely be back

Don't know how anyone could like this place. Worst service I've ever had. Waited about an hour to put drinks in kept getting told one second then put order in literally was getting brushed off and then after I finally put the order in they forgot about it and had to put in the order again. Was assured my dish was going to be cooked a certain way (wasn't) then assured me again that it would be (was worse than the first time) and messed up orders at our table. For some reason tried a second time because I live in the neighborhood. Almost identical scenarios. Ordered the clams and there was so much sand in the sauce I could literally spoon out sand. Feel bad bashing a place but from every aspect worst restaurant I've ever been to.

Such an awesome place to have a great dinner with a cocktail or glass of wine. The food is on point! I can not say enough good things about Coral Bay to all of my friends. Cannot wait to go back and try some more great seafood!!!

The food and staff were greatly in this lively atmosphere. The cocktails especially my dirty martini were perfect and once again I must commend them on their stuffed zucchini flowers!!!

Love the location since it is close to home. Went to dinner there last night and was absolutely terrible. Stay away, overpriced and food is disgusting. HAD to wait 30 minutes just for a waiter and then had attitude. Never again

weekend lunch menu was a little strange. has basics like heros, but thats it. plate of mozzarella and tomato came with no balsamic. the lobster roll was amazing! service was friendly :) no bottled water only tap, or at least we weren't offered it.

When I lived in tottenville this was my go to place on Sunday . When Sandy destroyed this place it left me and my wife heartbroken . We moved to Florida not to long after Sandy and friends told us the coral bay cafe reopened which I was very happy for . We visited this past summer and everything was on point like I remembered . I am glad you guys are back and will drop in next summer good luck guys

I noticed throughout the reviews the biggest qualm is the customer service and wait time. I definitely agree. We arrived around dinner time on a Saturday, which I know is a busy time. We were told by the hostess and manager* that the wait would at most be 30 minutes and probably quicker at the bar versus outside. We said we would not mind either because we were starving. I contemplated going elsewhere, but we did not have a car and feared a wait elsewhere. So 30 minutes of waiting turned into more than an hour, in which we noticed that people who came in without reservations were seated before us. They seemed to have such a good experience literally being seated in front of us while we still waited on the sidewalk. When I went to inquire with the manager, she quickly would run back in saying "I did not forget you. You are next." She did this to us and another couple. She took down our names in the beginning which seemed so useless as she was just giving priority to whoever was in her face. I was fed up and finally after an hour and 15 minute wait, sat ourselves down where there was a empty table. She knew she was wrong and sent waiters. It was just stressful for no reason! I wish she could have just followed the list of how clients came in and acted fairly. Besides the lobster bisque, the food was also meh. It took all the niceness I have to not loose it. Please do better.

Stopped in on Sunday for a quick espresso martini and a bite....well...this place is soooo gooood... Started with the small pulpo appetizer and white anchovies...hot crusty seeded italian bread was addicting..so...we decided to get a bottle of wine and go for it..the sole oreganata with italian risotto a d veggies was incredible. And the chilean sea bass with broccoli rabe and italian risotto was one of the most perfectly cooked I've had in years...topped off with cappuccino a d profiteroles a d the meal was a grand slam...Maria has this place on point... Batts loves this place!!!

I Just had dinner at this very disappointing restaurant. It was so loud that I could not have a conversation with the dinner companion sitting next to me. To make matters worse the server kept making mistakes with the orders but I can't really blame her considering her working conditions. The noise was maddening in this hell hole. As soon as we finished our dessert the server came and asked us to leave because they need the table. I will never dine there again but I'm sure the Staten Island crowd loves this terrible place because they don't know any better. They seem perfectly happy to sit there yelling loudly to each other over dinner but its not my cup of tea. I prefer a more refined atmosphere. Avoid this place unless you are a knuckle dragger.

Love this place. Been here a few times and most recently ordered takeout. The food is always good. Oysters Rockefeller and Coral Bay Shrimp are my go to's and I'd recommend them to anyone.

Great food and drinks...and very friendly staff. the mussels in red sauce and oysters Rockefeller were delicious.
