"Just off Trunk Beach, this underwater path rewards snorkelers with candy-colored biodiversity—darting squid, stalking barracuda, waving anemones, and unhurried green sea turtles cruising by." - Kat Chen
Absolutely lovely beach with great amenities! Chair rentals (they hold your driver's license as collateral!), bathrooms and showers, lockers, beach grill, bar, and ice cream shoppe!

We really enjoyed our time at Trunk Beach and loved bringing our snorkeling gear to check out the underwater park. Definitely worth a visit. Its $5 per adult to get into the national park.

This was fun and informative. It's like a trail underwater and you go to each treasure chest like sign, read it and move on to the next. They are located within a couple of buoys. Very easy to find and navigate. Best to do it during a nice bright day so the sun shines through the water for you to see better.

Lots of fish when we went over the coral and the underwater signs telling you about the area are very unique and informative. In the morning it was very calm and smooth water, by afternoon it was rough with a dangerous undertow if not careful.

This is one of the best beaches I've ever been to. The snorkel trail makes it even better. Understand there is an entry fee to this beach of $5 an adult 16 years and older but it is well worth it. The trail itself has sparse marine life which is understandable to not disturb the reef. As soon as you break off to Trunk Cay/Reef you will love every minute of it there is an abundance of marine life everywhere and the amazing reef itself. So many different fish everywhere all around you. Its like you have seen in shows but your living it. Literally the best snorkeling I have ever done and I have snorkeled the world. If you have mad all this way to Trunk Bay don't miss the reef.

What an amazing underwater educational experience at Trunk bay beach. The best beach in the world, hands down!!! The best snorkeling on St John! We loved everything about trunk bay beach and our snorkeling experience.

This is a great beginner snorkeling experience on one of those most profoundly beautiful spots on st. John
However if you are more adventurous and are a confident swimmer and love the water and want something more. The coral reef of jumbie bay " to the left if your looking at the water" with a short walk to the very end of trunk bay swim out and follow the side if the bay out and around a very impressive and expansive coral Reef to jumbie beach. It's about a quarter mile swim , half mile out and back so make sure your comfortable in your abilities but will offer a much more immersion experience. Enjoy !!!

Beach is absolutely amazing. The underwater park trail is cool, but because there is no map it wasn't very clear how many plaques I should be looking for and how far out or around the trail went. Online it says the beach has a life guard which isn't true. When the water is calm its a super easy snorkle. The park amenities close at 4pm which includes the water to rinse off with. Would be nice if the water stayed on a little bit later. Overall absolutely beautiful park/beach.
