Coral Rocks Zanzibar

Amazing seafront hotel near center of Jambiani. Lovely people, beautiful rooms with AC and sea view! Breakfast was also good with several options that you can order. We had an amazing time there.

This hotel and restaurant is very nice. Everyone was super nice and went out of their way to help me with anything I needed and made me feel right at home. The set up is just beautiful with an amazing view of the Indian Ocean. Party on Monday was fun and DJ played great music. Would definitely recommend and would stay here again if in Zanzibar.

The very first hotel I stayed in whilst in Zanzibar and it was worth every penny. I enjoyed waking up to watch the sunset by the beach. The staffs were extra nice and kind, I enjoyed my daily breakfast and happy hour! I highly recommend coral rocks 10/10 experience.

Hotel location was ok !! Staff are friendly but lacking a lot of training we had dirty bed sheets when we went into the room and was very hard to lock the rooms. One of the major issues was the hotel kept loosing electricity and they wouldn't turn on the generator to try and save money. The aircon also kept playing up when there was electricity. The only good thing was probably the pool and the views when it was high tide when its low tide its very dirty and smells like sweage. There are a lot of better options we will not be staying here again that's for sure !!

Wouldn’t recommend staying there to anyone. The location is great - but there are many other places with a good view. We checked out after one day although we had planned (and paid) to stay for 4 days. Upon arrival, neither the safe nor the door to our room were possible to be locked. After changing rooms on request, we had to find out that the bed sheets had not been cleaned (traits of make up, unidentifiable stains etc.). We needed to ask the staff to have them changed only to realize that the room hadn’t been cleaned at all (dead cockroaches in the room). In addition to that, we have been unable to sleep at night as the staff (not guests) had been quite loud around the rooms.

I just want to thank Coral Rocks for accommodating us. We were welcomed with friendly smiles and drinks. The room was beautiful, the bed was amazing, the aircon was good, the shower was good. They, however, can improve on some things like a hairdryer, places to hang your shower towels inside, a safe and a small bar fridge to keep things cold. Other than that, we had a great experience. Staff was super friendly and accommodating, and they wanted to be sure that everything is ok and they wanted to make you feel relaxed. We also checked in on a Monday, knowing that they had a party, some people complained, and some enjoyed themselves by partying with the locals. Do your research properly before coming because the music was loud but if you can't beat them, join them! You are in Zanzibar, so don't be a "Karen", join in on the fun! Is very crowded. The music at night is loud. Bar service is poor. The price of the drinks is made after your clothes and wallet…

I was there on a Monday night for the "Crazy Monday" party. We had dinner before the party and were completely dissapointed. The beef had a strong fish-taste as if the same oil was used for both things. We gave the beef to the cats. Then we ordered samosas and they also tasted like fish. Disgusting.
