Coral Sands (Harbour Island, Bahamas) 2 Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"Coral Sands Hotel is the Caribbean done right: turquoise water crashing onto a pink sand beach, a handful of guests, and low-key luxury with a staff that promises to treat you like family or a celebrity. Tucked away on the Bahamas’ small Harbour Island, one of 14 populated Out Islands, Coral Sands feels light-years away from the nearby Caribbean mega-resorts." - Tablet Hotels

We had a great time at Coral Sands. We had one issue with plumbing & someone was sent right away and fixed the problem. Melissa with activities was very helpful in decorating the condo prior to our arrival for my sister’s birthday surprise. The condo was spacious & plenty of room for six ladies.

We booked this resort because my in laws booked a room here through their timeshare. Don’t get me started on timeshares. Every single one is a scam, and I can’t believe people buy them. However, we went ahead and booked a room here with a balcony to be at the same resort as them. Nobody bothered us at check in - which was easy. I wrote a fake address and phone number on the personal info form they wanted me to fill out to advertise to us. Somehow they still found my phone number (through booking probably) to offer $200 in coupons if we attended a timeshare presentation. We politely declined and didn’t hear from them again. I understand they make a huge profit on timeshare sales and they were not pushy about it so no big deal. The room was way nicer than I expected. It was huge and newly updated. Our room was much nicer than the room given to my inlaws who have the timeshare. Maybe because they wanted to impress us to buy a timeshare or maybe because we booked a balcony room at full price versus the discounted timeshare booking. Anyway, I was definitely impressed with the room and resort for the price. The pools are SO nice and the bartender, drinks, and food were leagues better than I expected. Real juice in a strawberry daiquiri and nice big burgers that were seasoned well. I would definitely stay again or recommend it to a friend.

A Perfect Family Getaway at Coral Sands Resort!||Coral Sands Resort in Hilton Head Island is an absolute gem for families looking for the perfect vacation spot. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed with the warm welcome, clean and spacious accommodations, and the overall relaxing atmosphere.||The resort is ideally located—just a short walk to the beautiful beach, where the sand is soft and the ocean is inviting. The pool area is fantastic, with plenty of space for kids to play and adults to unwind. The lazy river was an instant family favorite, and the poolside activities kept the energy fun and lively.||One highlight of our stay was winning a Segway Experience during a Coral Sands pool party event! It was such a fun surprise and gave us the chance to explore Hilton Head Island in a completely unique way. Gliding through the beautiful surroundings on a Segway was both exciting and memorable—a perfect addition to our vacation.||What really makes Coral Sands shine is how much there is to do nearby. From bike rentals and mini golf to shopping, dining, and water activities, there’s something for every age group. Hilton Head itself is stunning, and having such a comfortable and well-equipped resort to come back to each day makes the trip even more enjoyable.||We loved how the resort struck the perfect balance between relaxation and adventure. It’s a place where families can spend quality time together while still having endless opportunities for fun.||If you’re looking for a family-friendly destination close to the beach with great amenities, fun activities, and plenty to do, Coral Sands Resort is the perfect choice. We can’t wait to return!

This is like our second home when on Vacation, the units are wonderful and clean. Our family lives the convenience of the pools so close and the staff are phenomenal! We don't have to worry when we are here about anything. The grounds are kept beautiful and clean. This place is a keeper! I've told several of my friends and family about this place and would love for them to come and experience what we do every time that we arrive. Pure joy!

Google
Awesome resort full of activities and within walking distance to beach. 2 bedroom condo was amazing! Loved the welcome pool party. They even had a free trolley that took us to local pie pizza. I would stay here again.

Google
I noticed a negative review regarding cleanliness of the pool area. Our experience was totally opposite. We went to the pool most mornings and someone was cleaning the pool and area every time we went. The whole resort was spotless during our stay. |The only negative was the additional charge on arrival. I'm not a fan of resort fees after you have already paid for your stay,

We had a great stay in a 1 bedroom condo at Coral Sands which had everything needed. It was very clean, comfortable and conveniently located to the beautiful Cologne beach. The island is beautiful and has an amazing dedication to preserving its natural assets and many unique features. It is relatively easy to get around from Coral Sands. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful. Kate, at the Concierge desk was especially helpful and enjoyable to speak with. She had a number of excellent suggestions for places to visit considering our interests. Highly recommended and we hope to return for another stay.

Google
Great resort! Awesome pool, Lazy river & poolside bar. Bartender was great! I saw reviews about rude staff, but everyone working there was great! Nice rooms too! Some of the pictures weren't great but the rooms were. Only thing I didnt like was the shower pressure

Yelp
The last weekend of summer 2024 was well spent at Coral Sands Resort, located on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. We were lucky to get one of the newly renovated condos, unit number L208, in the front of the property, near the pool. The resort offers spacious villas, townhouses, and condos ideal for couples, families, or groups, with amenities like the lazy river, outdoor pools, hot tubs, and proximity to the island's stunning beaches, grocery stores (Publix and Harris Teeter), restaurants, and shops. The nonsmoking keyless unit had a full kitchen complete with everything you might want on vacation. There were full-size appliances with kitchenware, broom, mop, and vacuum cleaner, and also a washer and dryer. The bedroom had a small closet, a flat-screen TV, a long-length mirror, a comfortable king sized bed, and a safe. The bathroom was stocked with plush towels, toilet paper, kleenex, and bar soap. The dining/living room area had a flat-screen TV with a DVD player. Yes, you read correctly, DVD player! The staff were friendly and helpful. Beautifully manicured grounds. Parking can be challenging after 10pm. Golf cart/shuttle ride to and from the beach. No housekeeping or trash dump service, so please take trash to the chute down the hall. A weekend was just not enough time to explore everything this property and Hilton Head has to offer. I would love to visit again sometime between May and October to witness sea turtle nesting and/or hatching on the beach, and enjoy the lazy river, tennis, and bike riding.

Yelp
We did the Dolphin Cruise with Captain Pete and First Mate Kim and had the most unbelievable experience. Kim was so cordial and funny - he went out of his way to make sure all of his guests felt welcome and were having a good time. We stopped at a few spots, including the lighthouse, and he offered to take photos for families. We went to a spot in the bay and we saw a TON of dolphins. Our group even saw one jump out of the water! Captain Pete let all the kids on board "drive" the boat. They were then presented with a "Dolphin Expert" certificate and could pick a prize out of the treasure chest. Lowcountry sports offers a variety of tours and watersport rentals, and Kim made sure to point them out on our tour. He let us know that all families aboard were now a part of the Lowcountry Watersports family and that for future activities we could get 15 per entire off. We will be sure to take full advantage of that!

Yelp
You can rent 3 bedroom 2 bath with a pool close by. It is walking distance to the beach and restaurants. The resort has many functions throughout the week to keep you from getting bored. They know that some people can't go to the beach every day. The other day, they had a pool party with free food and drinks. Today, they have bingo and doughnuts. Kids love it.

Yelp
We were really pleased with this place. Very clean, smells clean, most of the appliances were up to date. We had a 3 bedroom during the holidays and the pool and hot tubs were open. Easy to walk around to some yummy restaurants across the street. Activity center was a real hoot for my teenage boys playing ping pong. Helpful people until the internet went down, but I will not complain about that. Very impressed with the place. We would be back.

Yelp
This is an RCI rental for us. We really didn't know what to expect. It was our first time here. We are very pleased! The check-in was easy. Our room (L building) is beautiful, updated, and clean!! It is convenient to shopping, food, and a short walk to the beach. There is a pool and lazy river, an exercise room. There is a fountain and I loved hearing the water! I'd recommend this place! We would stay here again!

Michelle I.

Yelp
Great place for families. The renovated rooms are perfect. Kids loved the pools, especially the lazy river.

Yelp
Our apartment was clean, comfortable, well appointed, and spacious. People were friendly and polite. Parking is excellent. The apartment kitchen seem to offer every utensil or tool that one might need. The concierge, Kaitlyn, could not have been nicer and really sold the place. The pool deck is clean, spacious and has a tiki bar right there. The access to the beach area and the pedestrian shopping mall makes this a lovely destination.

Yelp
DO NOT... I REPEAT.. DO NOT FALL FOR THEIR SCAM THEY CALL THEMSELVES PALMERA VACATION CLUB. It's a trap. They got us on a trip when we'd had a horrible experience with our accommodations. We fell for it and now it's been a nightmare to get rid of. They say it's not a timeshare... it's bullshit... it is a timeshare and it's a pain to terminate. They tried to tell me that I owed $5k to terminate my agreement when the agreement was only for $12k. If I had that kind of money I would just keep the damn thing. But we've never used the points allotted to us and we've never stayed at the property. But I owe $5k just to give you your property back?!?! Over my dead body. I don't have the finances anymore all extra spendings is being cut. This is one of them.
google avatar

Yelp
This place is filthy dirty. None of the phone numbers work for housekeeping, front desk, etc. Apparently if you're not an "owner" in their timeshare they give you the old, run down units. Love South Caroline but I would never stay here again.

Yelp
I used RCI points to exchange and stay here. We arrived after 10pm due to traffic and horrendous storms en route, however the front desk's late check-in procedures were on point and we retrieved our welcome packet with the access code they provided us without any problems. We were assigned 3-bedroom unit #D203 located around the block from the main resort area which somewhat hindered our participation in the onsite activities (too We always found parking directly in front of the building, steps from the front door. My first impression of the unit was generally positive. It was spacious and comfortable but the furniture was also very worn and dated. The timeshare rep said they put non-owners in units like this and I believe him. However, if they're going to put non-owners in old, unrefurbished units, they shouldn't expect to sell too many more timeshares. The building was quiet and the unit clean and without bugs. The kitchen was fully equipped with silverware, drinking glasses, pots and pans, an oven, microwave, pantry closet and washer and dryer. A thin sliding door separating the queen bedroom from the master bedroom compromised privacy. Occupants of the queen bedroom either have to walk through the master bedroom to get to the bathroom or walk out through the living room to access the second bathroom. They had a good channel lineup. The shower temperature and water pressure in the master bathroom were excellent. The stall had a shower seat, but no grab bar. The wi-fi was sketchy, a big disappointment. It was okay for accessing light stuff like email. Terrible with internet browsing and loading video and large files which is what I wanted to spend my downtime doing. The bedrooms did not have any USB ports anywhere which was another huge disappointment. We purchased a power cord from Ross Dress For Less to help keep our devices and computers charged. I asked the front desk to replace some stained dining room chairs. They did and instructed us to place the bad ones outside the unit but never collected them during our stay. We accepted an incentive to attend a timeshare presentation and were paired with a jaded, patronizing rep. Coral Sands should know that his spiel is selling people AGAINST buying timeshare. The staff on property was so easygoing and friendly that it made the experience with that guy really stand out. Coligny Beach is a 15 minute walk from the unit. My two daughters and I did the walk but it was blazing hot and drained us. Better to bike instead if you can. In summary, if modern accommodations isn't important to you and gaming and computer work is not essential during your vacation, then this just might be the place for you.

Yelp
A decent stay. We were in building L and it has been updated. The late check in process was smooth. The kids enjoyed the (cold) pool and adults the hot tub Parking was sufficient. My only complaint is the paper thin walls. We could clearly hear the neighbors next door. Not just the rumble of talking, but the words of the conversation. At 1 am we finally went knocking and luckily they were apologetic and receptive- but they weren't doing anything wrong by just talking in their condo!

Yelp
A much needed reset. 10 minute walk to Coligny Beach. Nice pool/lazy river/jacuzzi. Stayed in the M building in a 3 bedroom suite. The master bedroom has a king bed, 1 of the guest bedrooms has 2 queens and the other guest bedroom has 1 queen bed. There is also a pull out sleeper sofa in the living room, so overall this suite comfortably fits at least 10 people. The kitchen is fully stocked and there is also a washer/dryer. The only things that made my stay 4 stars instead of 5 is that: 1) the property is pretty dated, 2) parking can be a hassle (although you will certainly find parking), 3) the property is not gated so you will see people entering to go to the pool who are not guests at the resort, and 4) the housekeeping gig here is really weird. Overall though, a convenient location and a nice place to stay while on Hilton Head Island.

Yelp
Very nice for families. We booked adjoining rooms for our family of 5. We were in building J, 1st floor. Our rooms looked either recently built or refurbished. Everything felt new and clean. Plenty of towels and basic cleaning and laundry supplies. I don't think i will ever go to the beach with kids and stay somewhere without a washer and dryer in the room. We did notice that one of our units was much bigger than the other, and didn't have a patio. We had easy access to the pool, which is where we spent most of our waking hours. Pool area was great, and we loved the food and slushees at the pool bar as well. Distance to several restaurants, groceries, and the beach was fantastic. You could walk if you aren't taking too much stuff, but free parking is also available.

Yelp
Coral Sands and RCI are the biggest rip-off artists on the planet. My girlfriend purchased property over 3 years ago through the most coercive sales tactics known to man. They promised a property that was never available. We tried multiple times to use the property and there were never any dates available. We literally used the benefits once at a property in Austin, Texas that we didn't want to go to in the first place. My girlfriend has since been laid off for months due to COVID19 and these monsters keep calling for a collection of past due benefits plus a ridiculous amount of back interest. Pray I do not get these idiots on the phone. I will have them crying for their mother's tit!!! Trust me. Time shares of a big waste of time and money. If you have money to piss away, be my guest.

Yelp
The family needed to get away for a bit. We have been here before, it's always been a pleasant trip. Going to the beach which is close by and then hanging out the pool, ordering drinks or a snack, it's just very easy. There are three sections to this resort, and each time they built a new building it was better than the last.

Sheila A.

Yelp
This place is awful. We booked with Coral Sands and they sent us to a different resort. It had a horrible musty smell and the kitchen light shade was falling off. They refused to give us a different room as they were fully booked at all three of their places were told. So now at 8:00 at night we have to drive 40 miles away to get a hotel room. The man at the corneige desk pretty much bullied us into taking the sales pitch for tomorrow after several times telling him we were not interested. We booked this room months ago thru Blu/Green Rci. I would never recommend this place

Yelp
My husband and I visited Hilton Head Island during the off season and were called over by a young man standing in a kiosk near our hotel. He told us that if we allowed someone to show us a resort, called Coral Sands, we would get a reward. He showed us sweet packages like a dinner cruise, gift cards, and other things. We had free time so decided, "Why not, they're just going to show us a resort?" He then asked us to pay a $20 deposit, probably so we don't flake on them. We get to a plaza off of Office Park road and see our destination, Quest Travel Club. We enter the storefront and are happily greeted by one associate while the other stares at us and another was on a cellphone. The associate gave us papers to fill out and return. We then were greeted by a woman, let's call her Kim, and she brought us over to a room that looked like a cafe. There were about five other couples sitting with five other salespeople when we walked in. Kim then sits us down at a table and starts to really get into her pitch. Basically she tries to use all types of tactics on us, including high pressure when it seemed I was not going to put myself in debt that very second. We politely decline and after firmly putting my foot down Kim flips a switch and turns off her charm. She tells us have a nice day and we figured out on our own where to go next. The next room we went to got us. They were also trying to sell us something but it was not as expensive as the previous offer. They claimed that by becoming a member, I could get crazy low prices on hotels that non members didn't have access to. She, let's call her Olive, also doled out gifts to us to entice us to buy. We decided it sounded good and used our gift card they gave us ($150), the deposit ($20), and $25 from our pockets to pay the joining fee. We were pretty excited and when we got back to the hotel, we started looking at our gifts that we had gotten from the club. They all were not what they seemed so we started doing some digging. The gifts had reviews about them from other people, almost all were negative. So we started to question the club itself but could find nothing on the internet about Quest Travel Club. Finally our detective work paid off and we found out that they had just changed the name recently. We found them on the Better Business Bureau website, other names include: Coral Resorts, Coral Sands, Coral Reef, Island Links, Sun & Seas Vacations, Port O Call, Hilton Head Island Development Company, and Palmera Vacation Club. Once that door was open, the negative reviews came pouring out!! So we were lied to and manipulated from the get go all the way to the end. Before you pay them ANY money, research the company with the word scam and all their efforts and tactics will make sense.

Yelp
Very well kept, comfy, well stocked, loved it! We did an RCI trade into Coral Sands, and got a 3 bedroom condo which was SO VERY NICE. The resort may be over a decade old but it looks almost new, well maintained, spacious. The beds were very, very comfortable, and there were plenty of towels stocking the unit, more than we needed, 100% cotton and very absorbent and nice. Lots of toilet paper, 4 extra rolls in each bathroom, lots of trash bags, dishwasher and laundry soap. The water was plenty hot, came on as soon as I turned on the shower. I liked the fact that they have keyless entry, using a passcode, and there is a safe. We came in cool November, so did not use the outdoor pool, but on the first evening when it was 70s, we saw others in it, and I believe there is a hot tub. Upon checkin, RuthAnn the concierge invited us to a presentation, gave us lots of local tips and discount coupons and recommendations. There was some construction on an adjoining street which was slightly challenging, and the whole island is streetlight-free, so kind of dark, apparently for the sea turtles and wildlife. This resort is near Coligny beach, which is a 12 minute walk through a beach access, but the beach itself is barely visible as it is covered with residences and resorts. We had one maintenance issue and called Jan who sent Antonio right over. The coffee pot is traditional kind that uses filters and grounds, NOT a Keurig. We enjoyed a very lovely breakfast at the Watusi Cafe, and at Stack's, and I highly recommend you make reservations at the JazzCorner Cafe before you come; we spent our last evening there for a special night; fabulous music and food, one of the top 20 jazz clubs in the world, per Downbeat. Loved our stay here.

Yelp
I would give no stars if possible , looks nothing like the pictures on the website the couches are damaged, it reeks of mildew in the Springfield rooms I'm upset I have to suck it up and stay here for a week just awful. Oh and twin sized beds for my best friend and I to stay in which we are both grown adults. My own apartment is much nicer then this and when on vacation and your putting a lot of money into it you expect the furniture to be up to date along with everything else. I'm afraid to even shower in this place along with sleep in a bed when I'm not even sure the sheets where cleaned. Not only that I didn't get any sleep because the beds are as hard as a rock and now my back is in a lot of pain.

Yelp
The main entrance for check in is on Pope Ave, and there are at least two Coral Sands properties: Coral Sands North (at the main check-in facility) and Coral Sands East (off Nassau St.), the Springwood Villas may also be part of the property. This review is for Coral Sands North. We had a large group of 10 people meet here from Florida and Colorado. Our 3 bedroom 2 bath villa gave us plenty of space for our family. They first gave us two parking passes, but we had to request two more for the other members of our group that drove in after check in. The villa was huge! We had a king bed suit with jacuzzi tub and walk-in shower, another room with a queen, a third room with two queen (or full) beds, and a sleeper sofa. The dining table seats eight, and there were three or four bar stools at the counter. The villa was clean, and the furnishings appeared to be new. There was a back porch where we could hang out and allow the crickets and frogs chirp/croak you to sleep. The pool, lazy river, and hot tub were very family friendly. The water was warm, but surprisingly comfortable. There are two grilling areas near the pond which has a sign to remind guests to NOT FEED THE ALLIGATORS, citing some state ordinance. Let's face it, when you're in the coastal south you can expect to find gators in fresh water... Be mindful, it's the south! The property is a short 15 minute walk to the beach through the rear of the property with access at Seaside Villas. The map from the property was very misleading, and makes the beach appear closer than it actually is. However, the walk wasn't bad. If you're bringing coolers, chairs, umbrellas, etc. for a day at the beach it's probably better to park at the public parking area for Coligny Beach. There were a few downsides with gym access, wifi not working, but the major downside was checking out. Although the process was easy, I didn't want to leave. Guess we'll have to go back next year!

Yelp
Location matters, and although it's great to be ANYWHERE on Hilton Head Island, Coral Sands Resort is in one of the most convenient locations. They are located near Sea Pines and Coligny Plaza on the Southern end of the island. There you will find great restaurants like It's Greek to Me, Wild Wings Cafe, One Hot Mamma and Steamers for the most incredible She-Crab soup you will ever taste!!! Beach access is also just minutes away along the beautiful Coligny Circle access pier. Great spot for family photo's!!! Sea Pines has lots of things to do for children and shopping/restaurants also. There is a grocery store right next door to the property as well as a Harris Teeter & Publix just a few minute in the opposite direction. Also nearby is plenty of Golf courses and a movie theater... as well as quick access to the Cross Island toll Parkway. Coral Sands itself has two sides, an older complex and the new, more updated buildings nearer to the super pool. We stayed in the newest building and it was FABULOUS!!! Everything was so well designed and attractive. Granite, glazed maple cabinetry, stainless steel appliances, beautiful islandy furnishings and very spacious rooms!!! Bathrooms were some of the best we've ever experienced in the States as far as resorts go. Beds were very comfortable and all the TVs are flat screen (there is a TV in every bedroom as well as the family room). WE LOVE IT HERE. We had a three bedroom unit and shared with another family. We took the master (with a king bed) and the Carolina room attached to the master via french doors. Our youngest two stayed there with a queen bed and their own TV (which they promptly hooked up their Wii & Xbox). The other family spread out in the 3rd bedroom which housed 2 queen beds and it's own bathroom. There was also a queen pullout sofa in the family room!!! At no time did we feel crowded or cramped for space. The main pool was not yet open when we stayed during Christmas of 2010, but it made little difference to how much we enjoyed our stay. I recommend taking a day trip to Savannah to the Historic District downtown. Visit the squares, visit river street for some sweets and DEFINITELY visit Mrs. Wilkes family style dining room on Jones Street near Whitaker. If you are looking for things to do with your family: Lawton Stables in Sea Pines has horseback riding and a petting Zoo. Also, there is a lighthouse, marina and cool little shops in Sea Pines. One thing we have been wanting to do is take the day tour to Daufuskie Island (lots of history there). Pickney Island Wildlife Refuge is right at the bridge and oh, and don't forget to try Skull Creek Boathouse (see my review)!!! Really great food, especially the seafood chowder!!!

Yelp
This is the most unprofessional business I have ever dealt with in my life. We have reservations here for this coming weekend April 17-19, 2020. I have tried to get a refund for over a month now due to the global pandemic. Whitney who does the reservations will not return a call or email, despite us leaving messages almost daily. There is a stay at home order placed by SC's governor. We have been financially impacted by the pandemic and Whitney's only offer was to reschedule our dates. Why can't she understand that is not a possibility for some people??? It will take us a long time to recover from this financially so going on a vacation even next year is not going to be possible. It's absolutely insane to me that she would not want to have good PR during this time, but I guess that doesn't matter to her. Any decent business would give a refund during this unprecedented time.

Yelp
The main building is at 66 Pope Street. Nice property, great outdoor area & well equipped suites. My only complaint is poor sound insulation - I've listened to every footstep, jumping, running from the dear "cherubs" upstairs for 4 nights. Please be considerate toward your neighbors & I'd recommend an upstairs suite to avoid the racket (there's elevator access).

Yelp
Roaches!!! My family and I including my mother, father and 92 year old grandmother rented a 3 bedroom condo for 3 nights. We paid over $300 a night and expected a clean, well maintained accommodation. Upon finding roaches in the master bedroom I contacted the front desk. They told me, "This is the low country so you can expect bug!" What??? That is not acceptable. I spoke to the manager and then Silvia, head of management. She was very apologetic and agreed roaches are unacceptable however she said upper management said they do not compensate for bugs. They did come spray during our stay in which we had to gather all our belongings, shake everything out, and when we returned home leave everything outside to help prevent roaches from potential entering our home. If roaches are acceptable to you at over $300 a night, then this is the place for you!!!

Yelp
very nice place, the pool is beautiful and the rooms are very clean and updated. definitely recommend!

Yelp
If you are thinking of purchasing a timeshare at coral resorts at HHI please read all the fine print carefully. And ask questions; such as how often can I use my home resort ? Most likely it will be once every three years. That's because it takes 72000 points to use Own resort, the one YOU ARE paying a HOA fee. Speaking of HOA fees, yes it is 330./ yr. however, you will be billed for three years at a time or all most $1000. They will tell you you have two bonus weeks, however, you cannot use them during prime weeks. There are more "ifs, ands, and buts" in the contract them you can shake as stick at. I have read reviews before with a skeptics eye, but believe me this is a big pit fall. This is the perfect definition of Caveat emptor. And not worth $20,000.

I stayed here for a long weekend and was very pleased. Plenty of living and sleeping space, and most everything you need in the kitchen. Lots of plates, cups, and cutlery, but no kettle? We called the front desk and within minutes someone hand delivered it to our door, which is what I call service. We went in February and the lazy river pool was not heated, but the small pool and hot tub behind our condo were. The resort was quiet and there were bike rentals available for $18 for the week. There were restaurants, a grocery store, and a liquor store right on the resort! All the gates have codes which I found entertaining (I felt like I was in LOST in the others' barracks) but it's good to feel safe. The resort is only a ten minute walk from the sprawling beach, which was just as beautiful as I imagined. The sand was very fine and very packed along most of the beach due to the tides. The front desk gives you coupons to various local restaurants, of which there are MANY!

Yelp
I love the lazy river! Check in was easy! This resort has the best front desk staff (Erin, Sylvie & Monique) I've ever encountered! This is an ideal location to vacation on Hilton Head! We had a 1.1 mile walking distance to the beach and beautiful amenities! Can't wait to come back and visit! Stay here, you'll regret anywhere else!

Yelp
I stayed here for 5 days with my parents and nephew. We had a 3 bedroom 2 bath condo with a full kitchen. Pros: The condo was really nice. The pool and lazy river were amazing. It was just about a 7 to 10 minute walk to the beach which I enjoyed. The resort had activities throughout the week...my nephew (6) participated in making a shark tooth necklace and we tried to watch the movie by the pool but it started to rain. They have a nice game room for the kids (when they need to get out of the sun for a bit). The entry to our condo had key pad codes that you could personalize...it was nice not to have to keep up with keys/cards and we personalized it so that everyone could remember it. Cons: The wifi was horrid. It was so horrible. I had to work one day I was on vacation and couldn't get the wifi to stay connected long enough to download or send anything. I would think a place this nice would have better wifi. I had to work the first day we got there, I had a deadline that nice. We had gone to the beach and to eat and got back to the condo after 8pm. The wifi wouldn't allow me to do what I needed to do so I woke up the next morning to go to the business center in the clubhouse. They are supposed to be open from 8am to 8pm. I got there at 7:45, anxious to get my work done, the clubhouse was still not open at 8:15. It was really frustrating! The only other complaint I have is if you don't like to walk, depending on where you stay on the property, the pool area is not that convenient. It was about a 7 to 10 minute walk to the pool from our condo (I enjoyed the walk but my nephew and dad did not).

Yelp
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We arrived after 10 pm and the front desk's late check-in procedures were on point and we retrieved our welcome packet with the access code they provided us without any problems. The next morning, when officially checking in, we were greeted by friendly staff. The timeshare rep was not a hard sell and took "no" to a presentation the first time. We always found parking directly in front of the building, steps from the front door. Our first impression of the unit was very positive. It was spacious and comfortable for 3 couples in the 3 bedroom unit. The building/unit was quiet and clean. The kitchen was fully equipped with plenty of towels and washcloths (including beach towels), silverware, drinking glasses, pots and pans, an oven, microwave, dishwasher, pantry closet and stack-able washer and dryer. A double pocket door separates the queen bedroom from the master bedroom slightly compromising privacy. Occupants of the queen bedroom had to walk through the living room to access the second bathroom in the front of the unit. The shower temperature and water pressure in the master bathroom were excellent. The stall had a shower seat, but no grab bar. Good cable channel lineup. The Wi-Fi was good, but no password required, which made us wary of our internet security. The resort is only 2 blocks walk to the beach (1/2 a mile). We highly recommend this resort and would definitely stay here again.

Yelp
We stayed here because it was the same price as staying at the holiday inn on the beach. We got a 3 bedroom condo near the pool. The room sizes were very nice, the kitchen was sufficient and the bathrooms were nice. The rooms also used a code instead of key for entry which was when you went to the beach or pool. The pool was amazing. It was large and warm. The lazy river had quite a current and they have noodles that you can borrow. The pool goes from 0 inches to 5 feet. There also is a kiddie pool that my children enjoyed. My only complaint was the gym. It had nice equipment but no free weights. The code to get in was also REALLY long. We didn't stay long enough to enjoy any activities the resort offered, but hope to do so next time. It's also a mile or so from the beach which was perfect. BTW- the map the front desk gives isn't to scale. It makes it look like the wild wings restaurant is far away and the beach pretty close to the restaurant. Nope! The restaurant is actually right off the resort and the beach a mile away from that.

Yelp
Traded one of their timeshare properties in for a more expensive one. Once they had my money I had a very difficult time reaching anyone when I called with questions. Only one person out of nine called had the courtesy to return a phone call. The attorney's office they use in Charleston for closings is even worse. You get connected to voice mail and the paralegals and attorneys who work on documents never call back. This happened the first time I bought a timeshare from Coral Resorts and they used the same attorney agency. I still do not have any deeds or titlle insurance from a purchase more than four months ago. Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me. Guess what?? I guess I look pretty foolish for drinking from this well twice but maybe I can prevent others from having the same experience.

Yelp
We have recently become Coral Sands owners. The room itself is clean, spacious, & filled with more than enough supplies. The location is great an easy walking distance to the beach & Coligny. The activities for the kids are plentiful BUT beware they are very expensive "oriental trading" items. What is disappointing is the management and staff of both Coral Sands as well as Reba. These two businesses are not working or communicating together. While staying At the Coral Sands I as an owner was pushed aside in order to accommodate the ongoing sales of the Resort. After two days were "sent to our rooms" and no longer allowed to bring our own food out the pool, they proceeded to post signs at all of the entrances to the pool. We were given bracelets that needed to be returned or pay a fine of $5 for a lost one, as well as provided pool towels that we had to wash & clean on our own. Any lost towel would result in a $20 fine. All of this was going on while people would freely be able to enjoy the Coral Sands pool as a "perk" for going on a tour of the facility. The pool was now overcrowded as a result. We now became second class citizens at a Resort we were told we would/could and should feel welcome at. I have frequented HHI for over 10 years give me Spinnakers Waterside or the Sonesta anytime!

Yelp
Our family stayed at this resort for our spring break vacation April 2012. A day before our departure our room was burglarized while we slept in the nearby rooms. The thief forced entry into the locked patio door and stole over $2,000 in personal items. The iPad that was stolen was tracked to a nearby 5 story apartment building. Unfortunately, the police could not recover the items because they could not pin point the exact location of the thief. The manager of the resort was rude and refused to pay our home owners insurance deductible or replace the items. We've filed several consumer complaints to no avail. If you're planning to stay at this resort please beware of the potential for this to happen to you. We have two school age children who were sleeping in the room near the patio, when this happen. We are grateful this was a burglary and not something worse, given boldness of the thief.
