I stayed at Coral Tree Inn while attending a music festival at Munro Martin Park across the road, and it was the perfect spot! The location couldn’t be better — just a 2-minute walk to the park, and I could even hear the music from my balcony while getting ready, which I loved. Parking was a bit full because of the festival, but I still managed to find a space just a couple of minutes’ walk away. The room was a good size and had everything I needed — kettle, coffee, milk, glasses, and a fridge. The pool in the middle of the complex looked great, even though I didn’t have time to use it this trip. Reception stays open until 9pm, and there’s a back entrance for after-hours access, which was really convenient. I’ll definitely stay here again for any future events at Munro Martin Park or the Performing Arts Centre. Highly recommend!

The Coral Tree was centrally placed and ideal for a walker like myself, but car parking was also available. I had no issues getting about in Cairns whilst based here. The staff were very friendly at the same time as being knowledgable and efficient. Although reception and the front door was not manned 24/7 this was never an issue. Breakfast was freshly prepared and plentiful and there was an abundance of nearby eateries for the evening. The rooms were clean, bed comfy with fresh white linen, and although the age of the property was evident this did not detract from the experience of staying in a non-corporate individual hotel. It wasn’t the quietest place I’ve stayed at but being central and with easy access to the airport, early morning noise was inevitable. I didn’t use the pool, but it looked clean and inviting. The hotel had laundry facilities for guests and a green system for the hotel linen. The lack of a lift was well known at the time of booking and should therefore not be an issue. I would certainly recommend staying here for a friendly stay in Cairns.

Comfortable relaxed place. Very nice courtyard with pool and thatched roof BBQ area. Very tropical vibe with outdoor stairs, and rooms with balconies!! AC and fan very good. Room was simple and basic, but very spacious. Quiet location away from the crowd but still walkable to Reef Fleet Terminal (about a mile).

A centrally located hotel offering well-priced, comfortable rooms. The beds are very cozy, ensuring a good night's sleep. The breakfast is excellent, with a wide selection of food—great value at just $20, especially compared to other options in town. There’s ample free parking available right in front of the hotel. I stayed for one night and had a smooth experience overall. However, it's worth noting that there are no lifts, so you'll need to carry your luggage up the stairs. No assistance was offered, which could be improved. 🙃

We stayed at Coral Tree for a week, and I would absolutely recommend! A lot of the budget hotels in Cairns are really lacking, but Coral Tree is excellent. Friendly and helpful staff, clean and comfortable rooms that have been well maintained, wonderful grounds, pool and facilities, quiet and peaceful, and a close walk to all that Cairns city has to offer. At this fantastic price point, you couldn’t ask for more. So happy to have stayed at Coral Tree, and would absolutely stay again.

We arrived at Coral tree Inn and received a friendly greeting from Sharon. Sharon went out of her way to arrange a trip for us after we were unable to do so. Breakfast was great with plenty of variety. $10 daily allowance if you didn't need towels changed daily

Nice rooms, good location and friendly staff. They have a decent breakfast buffet which we got included with the reservation that we made. Clean facility, and the option to forgo daily room cleaning for store credit. Close to the beach and all the restaurants and shopping

Took this place for a week stay in Cairns and was absolutely satisfied. Rooms ale clean and pretty fine for that price (perfect value), pool is a great addition, and absolutely perfect breakfasts. Location is close to city centre, but in calm area. Of course, for this price you cannot expect top standards - bathroom was pretty old, but clean. I don't get why people in other reviews are upset about standard, it's good enough. In terms of downsides, not much to list - small amount of power outlets (but got adapter with additional USB from very friendly staff) and poor WiFi. But overally I got very satisfied and would choose again definitely.

Yelp
Coral Tree Inn was a delightful, quaint little spot to stay at! It wasn't too far from the central area. The staff was extremely friendly, and the room was clean and well stocked with kitchen accessories. Only a 10-15 minute walk from the Night Market (get a cheap massage there!) and good spots to eat (Dundee's and Ollie's were yummy).

Yelp
Reasonably priced. Close to everything. About a fifteen minute walk to the snorkel tour and night market. Very clean and large rooms. The pool was adorable. Would stay again!

Yelp
It was nice.. nothing great but a nice little place. All tile floor in the entire room. Very clean. Nice staff and very friendly. If you're booking here to save some money, this is the place but it's no frills. They do have little fridges in the rooms but no microwave. The microwave is in the lobby. The bad part about that is yes, you have walk to it but the lobby closes after 9:00 pm. So no hot food after 900 pm. Just remember, you get what ya pay for. But at least this place is very clean

Yelp
This little inn is situated a couple of blocks away from the front. Easy walking distance. The room is big. Clean with ameneties to make it pleasant. It was nice to have a room with fridge, kettle with tea and coffee available. Iron and ironingboard and a hairdryer is also available. It has a nice cosy pool to dip in, in an isolated courtyard. Breakfast facility is avaialble for an extra charge if needed. The room was cleaned every day. Definately adequate for the price paid for. If ever back in the area I would go back.

Yelp
Ugh, i'm NOT staying here again. It was okayyy since it's a budget inn and it was clean and comfortable "enough" but i had different expectations. Also, as soon as i booked online, i got an email saying no cancellations. I booked weeks ago, and it seems totally unreasonable to have a no cancellation policy. Most places do a 24h-72h cancellation policy before your visit. My friend and i stayed here partially because of the free wifi deal, for two devices which was enough. What they didn't tell us is that it was only for 1500mb for 5 days! Not only that, the voucher thing they gave us expired twice(!!) before our visit ended so we had to ask for new ones which they were hesitant to give. And it kept cutting out when we were able to finally use it. Such a pain! The pool was nice in pics. It looked kinda dirty and it was small and cold. The whole time i was here i never saw anyone using it. I guess the lagoon is close enough if you want somewhere nice to tan and/or cool down. Housekeeping was inconsistent. Sometimes we returned and there was no towel to use on the floor bathroom, which makes the wet tiled floor slippery to walk on. We could hear a lot of noise upstairs from the other people staying. I guess it's an old building since you can hear *everything* plumbing related. The showers from other rooms was especially loud. There's a luggage room to keep your stuff in if you want to leave your bags while you go around town and you aren't checked in yet (or if you're already checked out), but you put the bag in there yourself (not the staff!) and the room is unlocked, so I was nervous about leaving my stuff there. Overall, I guess it was all right for 1-2 nights maybe, but I wouldn't stay there again when there are so many other accommodation options
