What an absolute gem of a hotel. We booked this in line with our tight budget, but is by far the best hotel we stayed in during our month in Oz. Firstly the receptionist couldn't do enough for us, helping us find parking, researching and booking our next days trip for us (because we came across as useless tourists). The room was spacious and well equipped with a good ensuite and the hotel even had a pool. Also well located for the beach front bars & restaurants. Outstanding value for money! Highly recommended

We were in this hotel in November 2025 - we had room with private bathroom. Room is equipped with bed, wardrobe, coffee/tea, electric kettle, Smart TV with Netflix/Youtube and fridge. Bathroom is nice with good quality cosmetics. Hotel placed close to the airport (~6km). Nearby hotel are lots shops and restaurant (about 800m to the main, train station with daily opened shop gallery), marina (~1,2km - nearby marina is big public swimming pool, good for sunbathing). WiFi is OK - range is in all hotel areas. Buffet breakfast available between 6.30-9 am - perfect for someone who go to the excursions! (available products you can see in the pictures). After check out you can stay in hotel area till flight without any additional cost. You can use swimming pool, luggage room and take shower (cosmetics and towels available for free) before journey. Hotel is very nice and enough for everyone who want be close to the city center and marina and take rest after excursions! We strongly reccomend this place!:))

It’s hard to believe that this is a 4 star as it would not be up to that standard in my opinion. Our stay here was ok it just wasn’t very enjoyable. We came in late from a flight and to be fair it was really easy to navigate the late check in process - locating the lock box with the key to the room etc and we were grateful to be able to check in late. The mattress in the room wasn’t the slightest bit comfortable but I suppose when you merge two single beds together to make a double it’s never going to be great. There was a couple in a nearby room that were roaring at eachother for hours during the night so we didn’t sleep much and we found the breakfast to be overpriced, especially as there really isn’t much variety there! $30 for a small selection is expensive! We got a breakfast the following day in the 4 star Pacific Hotel Cairns for $5 cheaper! $25 a head and far more selection. The staff were friendly but no one came up to us at breakfast to see how we were getting on. There’s plenty of room for improvement!

After a couple of rooms had air-con problems, the nice lady receptionist, found us a lovely room. Pool was ideal for cool off, rather than a swimming pool, parking free onsite and outside. 10-15 minute walk to boardwalk, bars etc. All in all a nice stop.

We rented a car and drove from the airport, arriving to find no parking, thanks to an event nearby. After off loading luggage, drove around looking for street parking. Found it 2 streets away...moved the car nearer after the event was over. Front desk lady was kind and warm and efficient. The pool looks great on the photos, but is probably not really for swimming, unless you are very small, and many people just sit around in it. Booking day trips was easy and quick and reception offered great advice. She is efficient and helpful. The Japanese speaking front desk lady.

Tired looking basic room, no shower gel, shower cap, just hand soap. Fridge not working|However, a very basic but good shower, tea/coffee making facilities, TV with more channels than in the bigger cities. The room had a small secure outside sitting area, ceiling fan and air conditioning.|Bed was more comfortable than it looked.|Breakfast was of a reasonable standard, fair choice. |Staff were friendly and helpful |There was a small swimming pool and deck chairs, seating areas surrounding the pool.|Comfortable lobby.|This hotel deserves no more than 3 stars

Honestly, I couldn’t contemplate staying anywhere else! I have stayed in 4/5 star hotels all over the world but never felt as comfortable as I did at the Coral Tree Inn. Perfect location, quiet area but a short walk to bars and restaurants. The hotel is spotless, rooms very comfortable with excellent air conditioning and super little balcony overlooking the delightful little pool. Guests are first and foremost at this hotel without doubt; breakfast was delicious and the “green scheme” is superb! Special mention to Adrian and colleagues on Reception - very personable, helpful and knowledgeable. Can’t wait to return one day and for longer next time!

The Coral Tree was centrally placed and ideal for a walker like myself, but car parking was also available. I had no issues getting about in Cairns whilst based here. The staff were very friendly at the same time as being knowledgable and efficient. Although reception and the front door was not manned 24/7 this was never an issue. Breakfast was freshly prepared and plentiful and there was an abundance of nearby eateries for the evening. The rooms were clean, bed comfy with fresh white linen, and although the age of the property was evident this did not detract from the experience of staying in a non-corporate individual hotel. It wasn’t the quietest place I’ve stayed at but being central and with easy access to the airport, early morning noise was inevitable. I didn’t use the pool, but it looked clean and inviting. The hotel had laundry facilities for guests and a green system for the hotel linen. The lack of a lift was well known at the time of booking and should therefore not be an issue. I would certainly recommend staying here for a friendly stay in Cairns.

Yelp
Coral Tree Inn was a delightful, quaint little spot to stay at! It wasn't too far from the central area. The staff was extremely friendly, and the room was clean and well stocked with kitchen accessories. Only a 10-15 minute walk from the Night Market (get a cheap massage there!) and good spots to eat (Dundee's and Ollie's were yummy).

Yelp
Reasonably priced. Close to everything. About a fifteen minute walk to the snorkel tour and night market. Very clean and large rooms. The pool was adorable. Would stay again!

Yelp
It was nice.. nothing great but a nice little place. All tile floor in the entire room. Very clean. Nice staff and very friendly. If you're booking here to save some money, this is the place but it's no frills. They do have little fridges in the rooms but no microwave. The microwave is in the lobby. The bad part about that is yes, you have walk to it but the lobby closes after 9:00 pm. So no hot food after 900 pm. Just remember, you get what ya pay for. But at least this place is very clean

Yelp
This little inn is situated a couple of blocks away from the front. Easy walking distance. The room is big. Clean with ameneties to make it pleasant. It was nice to have a room with fridge, kettle with tea and coffee available. Iron and ironingboard and a hairdryer is also available. It has a nice cosy pool to dip in, in an isolated courtyard. Breakfast facility is avaialble for an extra charge if needed. The room was cleaned every day. Definately adequate for the price paid for. If ever back in the area I would go back.

Yelp
Ugh, i'm NOT staying here again. It was okayyy since it's a budget inn and it was clean and comfortable "enough" but i had different expectations. Also, as soon as i booked online, i got an email saying no cancellations. I booked weeks ago, and it seems totally unreasonable to have a no cancellation policy. Most places do a 24h-72h cancellation policy before your visit. My friend and i stayed here partially because of the free wifi deal, for two devices which was enough. What they didn't tell us is that it was only for 1500mb for 5 days! Not only that, the voucher thing they gave us expired twice(!!) before our visit ended so we had to ask for new ones which they were hesitant to give. And it kept cutting out when we were able to finally use it. Such a pain! The pool was nice in pics. It looked kinda dirty and it was small and cold. The whole time i was here i never saw anyone using it. I guess the lagoon is close enough if you want somewhere nice to tan and/or cool down. Housekeeping was inconsistent. Sometimes we returned and there was no towel to use on the floor bathroom, which makes the wet tiled floor slippery to walk on. We could hear a lot of noise upstairs from the other people staying. I guess it's an old building since you can hear *everything* plumbing related. The showers from other rooms was especially loud. There's a luggage room to keep your stuff in if you want to leave your bags while you go around town and you aren't checked in yet (or if you're already checked out), but you put the bag in there yourself (not the staff!) and the room is unlocked, so I was nervous about leaving my stuff there. Overall, I guess it was all right for 1-2 nights maybe, but I wouldn't stay there again when there are so many other accommodation options
