Coral View Island Resort

Quite nice room compared to the other hotels in the area with the best quality price ratio. You are just next to one of the best beach in the island just in the other side of the jetty. The restaurant is quite good we had lunch there with amazing view. Make sure not to get a room next to the kids pool as there is a loooot of noise

The room is spacious with a nice seaview, but that’s about the only good thing here. We experienced multiple blackouts, the bathroom lamp (shower side) was not working, and the room was poorly cleaned with sand all over the carpet and floor. The service is absolutely disappointing. Front desk and housekeeping staff are unfriendly, never smile, and clearly treat local guests differently from foreign tourists. Welcome drinks were only served to Westerners while locals were completely ignored – talk about double standards! Food is overpriced (as expected) but the taste is nothing special. Overall, a very unpleasant stay. With poor service, lack of cleanliness, and discriminatory treatment towards local guests, this place doesn’t deserve to be called a resort. Definitely would NOT recommend to anyone.

Coral View Resort is a lovely spot for anyone looking to enjoy the natural beauty of the Perhentian Islands. The resort’s location offers some of the most amazing views, especially at sunrise and sunset, making it a great choice for those who appreciate being close to nature. The rooms are decent, clean, and comfortable, with the added convenience of air-conditioning—a welcome relief after a day in the tropical heat. The breakfast provided is reasonable, with enough variety to start your day without fuss. While the resort doesn’t go over the top with luxury, it provides everything you need for a relaxed island getaway. One important tip for visitors: if you enjoy a cold beer or a glass of wine in the evenings, it’s best to bring some from the mainland. Alcohol can be difficult to find on the Perhentian Islands, and choices are very limited. For those who love the sea, the nearby beach in front of Perhentian Island Resort is a highlight. It’s fantastic for swimming, and with some luck, you can spot turtles and even small reef sharks gliding gracefully through the water. A perfect experience for snorkelers and ocean lovers alike.

The resort is in a beautiful location, surrounded by beaches on both sides, another great beach is a short walk down the jungle path. Our room/chalet Family room Deluxe garden view was spacious, clean, air conditioning worked great, 2 bathrooms, clean towels and water daily. The resort is surrounded by jungle, we met happy squirrels, big lizards, monkeys every day and it is a few steps from a beautiful beach, the sea is full of fish, turtles, baby sharks. Our whole stay was incredible and we enjoyed it very much. The adjacent restaurant offers excellent food and buffet breakfast, breakfast had a smaller selection for Europeans, but we didn't mind. The guy in the shop was very helpful and I'm sorry we couldn't say goodbye, he had the last day off. You can pay by card at the resort and in the restaurant. We will definitely come back here again. Thank you.

Suitable for families. Price was high probably due to peak season. The stay was good apart from some maintenance required, like the aircon and water pressure. With a restaurant, swimming pool, and surrounded by ocean all around, it's a good place for some fun in the sun

DO NOT BOOK!! The whole place is completely run down, dirty chairs and tables, everything is either broken or dirty. Including the rooms and the restaurant, Pool area etc. All the towels are old and have stains. The food is terrible, the hygiene in the public toilets is horrible so I'm assuming the kitchen isn't any better. !! We had COCKROACHES in our rooms !! The island itself used to be beautiful according to our friends, but has now been filled with ugly tourist stuff, taxi boats, rotten piers and broken deck chairs. The only good thing were the 2 mini pools infront of our bungalow, but the completely drenched fake grass that was on every inch of the terrace ruined even that. Can't walk outside without getting your feet wet, because apparently a draining system wasn't in the budget. The islamd itself has 4 restaurants, 3 are in similar conditions (dirty, bad food, in general bad vibe). The last one was so popular that there was a line in the evening. There is a single "store" with literally only the basics (water, beach stuff and shampoo), so no food available. Only the disgusting restaurant stuff. Last but not least, all of the staff try their best but are defenitely not the brightest candles on the cake. Not alot of english knowledge, they seem to be understaffed (barely any cleaning staff, which explains the dirty rooms) and take forever to understand you. I've had 10× better experiences in Penang etc, so this is the biggest disappointment ever. And all of this for 150€ per night?? I don't think so. We still have 5 nights left, we are already regretting staying here and will try to get a refund. The conditions are seriously ridiculous for this price.

Second time coming to Perhentian Island and i still choose Coral View Resort. Beautiful and clean! Not so quiet but not so crowded and noisy. Perfect for me to rest and chill. Recommended! I'm using service from Anjung Holiday for the accommodation and snorkeling. No issue and smooth.

I love the resort. But please, asks the guy at the receptionist to be more friendly..like seriously, is it so hard to at least smile when you deal with the guests? He looks like he hates his job!
