This resort is optimized for extraction, not restoration.
Despite being marketed as a luxury experience, nearly every aspect of the stay feels designed to funnel guests toward spending more money rather than actually relaxing.
The property is severely overcrowded. Pool and beach chairs must be reserved three to four days in advance, which makes spontaneous enjoyment impossible. During the day, these areas are packed with no breathing room. In the evening, when the resort finally becomes quiet and pleasant, guests are abruptly run off, including from the pool, which closes at 10:00 p.m. under strict enforcement. This is especially frustrating given that there are no lifeguards on duty during the day, making the nighttime safety rationale ring hollow. The clear goal appears to be driving guests toward the rooftop bar to drink and spend more money, not supporting calm, restorative use of shared spaces.
Breakfast perfectly illustrates the problem. What should be a simple meal routinely turns into a two-and-a-half to three-hour ordeal. You wait to get in, wait to order, wait for food, and wait for the check, all for bland, mediocre food. While you are seated, you are essentially trapped, and vendors repeatedly approach your table trying to sell excursions, tours, or services. You cannot eat breakfast without sales pitches interrupting you. The dining room functions less like a restaurant and more like a captive marketplace.
Staff availability mirrors this dynamic. During the day, help is minimal unless you are willing to purchase an excursion. Basic guest needs are often ignored, while sales efforts are prioritized. There is also no filtered drinking water available, which is unacceptable at this price point.
The rooms smell like moldy, wet towels, sand is everywhere, and overall cleanliness and freshness are lacking. Combined with the crowds and constant upselling, the environment feels exhausting rather than luxurious.
In short, this resort does not feel designed for rest, ease, or care. It feels engineered to maximize throughput and spending at the expense of guest comfort. I would not return and would not recommend it to anyone looking for a genuinely relaxing experience.
