We definitely had a good evening at Cordo Bar, warmly welcomed by an extremely friendly staff in a nicely arranged and tastefully decorated space.
The food was overall good, though not without a few weaknesses. Most of the veggie tapas were fried, nothing wrong with that, just something worth knowing beforehand. The patatas bravas were disappointing (simple fries with a bit of tomato sauce), and both the croquetas and chorizo were served almost cold, which took away some of the enjoyment.
On the positive side, the pulpo was perfectly cooked and well seasoned, served with a tasty aioli, and the padrón peppers were exactly what we expected.
As for the prices, they’re not low, but north of the Spanish border it’s hard to find truly affordable tapas, nothing shocking here.
