Quite a good museum covering the history of Cordoba and the region. Artifacts from many periods of the area's inhabited periods, prehistoric, Roman, and Moorish notably. The building is built over and preserves Roman ruins on the lower level. Accessibility for visitors using wheeled transport seems good. There is an elevator between levels 1 and 2, a stairlift to the lower level and an accessible washroom. Entry is €1.50 which is very reasonable. However, it is cash only. I particularly liked the displays and interpretive materials related to households. Often, museums focus on the lives of the privileged. Entry to the museum also grants Entry to see the courtyard of the adjoining palace. April 12, 2025 C & J

Super little museum with outstanding displays of artefacts from Córdoba's origin through several historical periods. Very small entrance fee...it's even free on Sundays. Great way to spend an hour.

Fantastic museum with lots of artifacts from varying periods, not only roman focus. Breathtaking outdoor / plaza portion and an underground roman theater. Absolutely worth the visit, only 3€ for non-EU citizens.

Fantastic little archaeological museum. Being from the UK, it was only €1.50 each and free for EU citizens. Early on a Saturday in July, it was almost empty. Beautiful artefact’s beautifully displayed. Many of the labels are in Spanish and English. Gives a real taste of this fascinating part of Spain. They found a Roman amphitheater when it was being built, which you can visit int he basement, and your ticket also gives you access to the Palacio next door with a wonderful courtyard. The whole visit took 1-1.5 hours. Highly recommended.

So many interesting things to see here at this museum! And it’s built right on top of an ancient Roman theater that they have you go down and see with cool exhibits explaining. Also, check out the ancient chess set!

A great stop in Cordoba! The museum is relatively small (1 hour visit) but it is free for European ID holders. It explains the formation of the city, from the paleolithic to the Roman and Ummayad times.

Really interesting museum with great exhibits. It's built over part of the Roman theatre which is super interesting to see. Free entry! Great little bar outside too.
