Our stay at the City Marina Hotel in Corfu for six nights was quite disappointing. Upon arrival, after a 9-hour journey, there wasn't even a bottle of water in the room for us to drink. Additionally, there was no door sign to prevent housekeeping from entering, which resulted in us being disturbed early in the morning. One morning, the housekeeper entered the room twice without permission, and when I asked her to leave, she later told my roommates that I was being "grumpy"—completely unacceptable behavior.
When we arrived, the receptionists very polite, the balcony had neither a chair nor a table like the other rooms, and we had to request them. There was also a frequent unpleasant smell from the nearby port. Furthermore, there were many mosquitoes in the room, and no plug-in repellent device was provided. The bathroom had no window, so to air it out, we had to open the balcony door, which only let in more mosquitoes. The room was overpriced at €150 per night without breakfast included.
On the positive side, the room was clean, and the view from the balcony was nice, with the hotel being conveniently close to the city.
