Great location on the river, so many great walks on your doorstep, warm, clean and well equipped accommodation, wonderfully helpful and knowledgeable staff. Good food. Highly recommend the river cruise so much more informative, interesting and engaging. Our skipper and guide (Tegay and Ash) were both friendly, keen, knowledgeable and passionate about understanding, appreciating and protecting the environment and it's rich history. Such a positive contrast to the commercial AI styled process we experienced on Gordon River Cruise (Not the red boat) we did a few days earlier. NB No mobile or internet access - and that's an experience too!

There is something magical about this place. The quiet, the beauty, I felt so at ease. The accomodation is superb and so comfortable. The pub food actually blew us away. We had low expectations but were so impressed with the quality. We loved the boat trip up the Pieman river even in the rain. The forest walks were magical. I recommend everyone take time out of their busy lives and the detour to experience it!

Stayed 3 nights here in our van. What a beautiful place. Went on the cruise down the Pieman, fantastic captain and crew, lovely lunch. Dinner at the restaurant was lovely. Would definately go back. Drove out via the 90km dirt road what an experience.

Spectacular location in the wilderness. The accommodation was spacious, comfortable, well appointed and clean. We ate at the pub and the meal was superb, as was the service! All the staff were friendly and helpful during our stay.|The only downside was the extremely hard and uncomfortable beds :(

What a great stay! Great little cabins, super clean and well appointed with comfortable beds and lounge furnishings, a toasty gas fire, well equiped mini-kitchens and a little back verandah facing the Tarkine forest (complete with visiting wallaby). Extra friendly and accommodating staff and a truly wonderful restaurant on site. The drive there through the forest on a pot-holed unsealed road was hair-raising at times, but so worth it. The 1.5 hour Whyte River walk that leaves from the front of the pub was magical.

We have passed through here on a few occassions before but not stopped over. We were so glad to finally be able to spend a few days here and despite the weather ( it is the west coast after all) we had a thoroughly good time. the boat trips were both super and our guides most informative, the walking was wonderful and easily accessible, and the restaurant was first class. All the staff were super friendly and helpful and we really had a lovely time.

Absolutely worth the drive down from Stanley to this magical place. Only stayed 1 night but would love to return for longer. The cottage was excellent and dinner at the Tarkine Hotel at the Tannin restaurant was magnificent - one of the best cooked pieces of scotch fillet I have had! Well done Team at Corinna.

Such a beautiful, unique place. Loved my couple of days there. The staff are just wonderful, and as a solo woman I appreciated how they all remembered my name. The boat trip to Lovers Falls was a highlight. I had a motorhome in the camping area, and although a little pricy for one, it really is worth being there in the middle of everything. Easy to do the walks and enjoy the village. Ate in the restaurant and the food was great.
