Nighttime operations at the airport were generally quiet, and I observed the restrooms to be both clean and spacious. Free parking was provided for intervals up to ten minutes.

This review is about sustainability only! By 2050, there will be more plastic in the ocean than fish, and over 95% of the plastic that we intentionally recycle does not actually get recycled. But rather ends up in landfills, incinerators, and our oceans. I so appreciate that the café called Roasted Notes at this airport offers real, reusable mugs. But I was disheartened to see so many customers who clearly were not well informed of that option. It looks like the to-go coffee cups here are technically compostable, but I do not see very clear composting options in the airport. And when I look in the trash cans, it seems that many people are throwing the compostable cups away to get sent to landfills. Thus negating the very purpose of the compostable cup. As an airport located within a waterfront city, on an island surrounded by water, it seems imperative for you to model better consumption behaviors. It will take both customers and purveyors to combat the plastic pollution crisis that is on our hands. Thank you for considering how to make cork truly a more sustainable airport that does not profit off the sale of plastic bottled water and soda and coffee, but rather helps customers be better stewards of the environment.

A very small airport, but extremely clean with plenty of seating areas. The toilets and general facilities are maintained regularly, which makes the experience comfortable. Everything is well organised, and the transfer to Liverpool was smooth and hassle-free.

Cork Airport is a nice, easy airport to travel through. It’s clean, well-organized, and not too crowded, which makes check-in and security quite smooth. Staff are friendly and helpful, always ready to assist. Facilities are decent with enough food and coffee options for a short wait. Parking is straightforward and close by, which is a big plus. Overall, a stress-free experience — one of the better airports to fly from in Ireland.

Coming into Cork from London was great. Leaving at 7am 12/4/25 through the security I asked them to speak up as I couldn’t hear the woman or bloke, maybe just the accent. I said I’m partially deaf and you need to speak up and I have a cold. The guy was ok but not the woman. She lacks compassion and the ability to treat each individual separately instead of like cattle. In the end I spoke to the person’s supervisor and he said he would speak to them

Quite like it. Good staff and facilities. Main issue is bad passengers e.g. not packing liquids and blocking whole security or hogging the water station. Worst thing is u get sun burnt and loads of pain because its super sunny and hot... really painful. Horrid. Even with clothes and trying to block the sun. Hours in the same spots.

Google
Great experience but hope the new building brings more to departure area. Needs more shops, bars, eating areas, toilets and an air side smoking area. Can then be as good as Shannon and Kerry, Knock

★★★★★ Hassle-Free and Friendly! Cork Airport is small but incredibly efficient. Check-in and security were quick, and the staff were genuinely friendly and helpful. The airport is clean, easy to get around, and not overcrowded like bigger airports. A very smooth and stress-free travel experience — highly recommend flying from here if you can!

Yelp
Always a fast and efficient check in process here, it's a small airport so it's usually pretty straightforward getting through security. The boarding gates are close by each other, and there's a few places to eat (the AMT coffee has good Americanos and croissants!). There's a nice duty free area too. The arrivals area is pretty much next to departures, but it also has a coffee place (with draft beers!), as well as a shop. You do have to go outside when boarding flights, so wear a jacket when it's cold!! Easy airport to navigate, and the staff are really friendly!

Yelp
5 out of 5 stars for Cork Airport. I love flying from this Airport as I find as it's not as busy as Dublin Airport, and it is also very close to where I live. Staff are always friendly, can be busy at times, but there aren't as many shops available or restaurants as it is quite small. I highly recommend this airport

Yelp
A small town airport, easy 15 minutes from the city center. Make sure you take a rest and grab a bite to eat BEFORE you go through security. A nice pub and restaurant with an easy view to the gates and runway. Once you get past security, through the duty free shop, which has a good selection of sundries and touristy items. There is only a small little pub and a counter that serves some excellent pastry items. A selection of fresh made muffins, hand made chocolates, and toasted croissant filled with cheese and ham. The coffee is good, but comes out of a big machine, the hot chocolate is made from a good quality Cadbury mix, but make sure you mix it yourself to avoid lumps at the bottom. Didn't see any place to plug in a laptop and the free wireless is fairly good.

Yelp
Have you been in this airport yet? It's one of my favourite airports that I have ever been in anywhere! It's all modern and new and sleek. Lots of glass and metal and clean surfaces surround you everywhere and you can find your way around really easily. Corkonians are always boasting about being brilliant and they try to say that they are the real capital of Ireland, they are totally wrong by the way! But when it comes to their airport they really do beat Dublin, not in terms of size or anything of course, it really is only a small airport. But when it comes to design and ease of getting around and generally having a good feeling when you are there, they totally win. It's just suck a pity its down that end of the country, otherwise id use it way more often!

Yelp
So this is not the biggest airport I have been to and it is by no means the smallest one either. The set up is bright, light and modern. It has all the amenities you would expect before security, if limited. The security line was more or less none existent when I went through, which is always a good thing in my opinion. Once you get through security and you pas through the obligatory duty free shop you come out into the main departure area. As the airport is not the biggest the shops you will find there are limited but functional. There are the, as to be expected, coffee shop, a WH Smith, a couple of shops selling the usual airport goodies and right up the far end is a pub. There is limited plug sockets so if your phone, tablet or laptop is low on power you might struggle to charge them! The airport has free wifi which worked well enough for me to stream a TV program as I waited for my flight. As my flight was the last one outI could se the shops closing up. So if your on the last flight and it gets delayed you could struggle to get a drink or something to eat. There are plenty of seats near to all the gates so you should be able to get a seat. As it is a small airport getting onto your flight is quit quick and painless.

Yelp
There are a lot of things to love about the Cork airport. It has all the perks of both a small town airport without any of the downsides. I have been to Cork multiple times. I have almost always been through London Heathrow during the same trip. Heathrow is huge, complicated, and you wait in lines for everything. Cork is small, easily navigated, and rarely has any wait at security, customs, or gates. Although it's small, it still had plenty of food options and great lounge areas. To top it off, the Cork airport has unlimited free wifi! If you're going to Southern Ireland, I highly recommend this airport.

Yelp
Pluses: Conveniently located (15 mins from town centre) - quick entry/exit - good bus/taxi/rental car linkage / free wifi / ample duty free with large Irish products section for last minute shopping/ pub near gates Minuses: loos could be better cleaned / walkon runways / few charging stations Overall I quite like this airport, it's nice both on arrival and departure, convenient, and has a nice well-lit environment

Yelp
Since its renovation in 2006, Cork Airport stands out as one of the most impressive buildings in Cork. It's clean with a great layout and perfectly suits the needs of a regional airport. Getting through security never takes more than 5 minutes and staff are refreshingly friendly. Probably the friendliest airport staff I have ever encountered actually! Oh and there's free Wi-fi!

Yelp
On my trip to Ireland, my arrival at Cork Airport summed up Ireland perfectly. The plane landed, braked and trundled to the far end of the runway whereupon it performed a 180 degree turn and taxied back up the active runway!! Fortunately we didn't encounter any other landing aircraft! The airport itself was efficient in getting us passengers through the system

Yelp
It lives up to its name - its an airport... in Cork! It's not huge which is fantastic - no ridiculous queues to get through passport control, no walking miles to get to your gate. But at the same time it's big enough to have everything you might need - a coffee shop, a restaurant with ample seating (food isn't great but good enough for a pre-flight snack), a newsagent with books (I got the book I wanted with a 20% discount! Yay!) Also plenty of duty-free including all the Irish treats you might want to take home... Clonakilty black and white pudding, Barry's tea, soda bread (yes, most of my duty-free purchases revolved around food!) All in all it's a 'Cork-er' of an airport!

Yelp
I flew from Cork a little while ago to go to Malaga. It was short but sweet. A few things to note : 1 star for the airport. It is small but clean enough. You know where you need to go without any hassle. 1 star for the service. People are nice wherever you go, check-in, shops... 1 star for the waiting area. It doesn't take you forever to reach the gate. 1 star for the taxi service. You just walk out of the aiport building and you can see taxis waiting for you. It's fast and easy, and also usually fun. I found myself getting a private tour where the driver explains all about what is what, where is what, as well as answering questionz such as : why would a girl from South of France come to live in Ireland? Especially in Cork? I removed 1 star because of the price of the food in the restaurant upstairs. Not at all worth it. Way too expensive for what it is !

Yelp
I never thought of Cork as a busy, modern city until I saw their airport. It has coloured my perception of the entire town. They have done a great job with it, making it all shiny and sleek. And they did it without sacrificing the keen efficiency that you expect at a smaller-but-still-major airport. You can easily hustle through here in 45 minutes, if you are pushy, and checkin/security lines are unlikely to be much of a hassle. If you find yourself with time to kill (and you might, given their efficiency) the landside upstairs food court overlooks the checkin area and makes for some great people watching.

Yelp
This is a delayed review, but no less valid. Cork airport is all about the SPACE. Its as big as it should be, given the size of Cork. Its friendly and easy to get through. No hassle. No hassle if you have every liquid below 100mls... but that is just an issue everwhere isn't it? 125ml... that's the problem is it? Seriously... its half full. no. no... throw it away, its fine. Sorry what is your recycling policy here? BUT that is neither here not there... The pace of the airport reflects well the pace of Cork city itself, slow and relaxed. No-one's rushing you here. There's little on offer through security, so don't rush through expecting a wonderful shopping experience. The big bright windows will be distraction enough though and you can gaze unimpeded at the vast and green expanses of West Cork, which is a gorgeous sight to behold.

Yelp
Great airport, very spacious and clean. It's small and so easy to get around. After being used to running between terminal 1 and terminal 2 in Dublin , it is a sheer joy to fly from. Easy to get to. Helpful staff. Recommended! On average flights are usually a bit cheaper from Dublin but if you're living in Cork it makes no difference!

Yelp
A very small airport. I can only comment on arriving as I flew into Cork and out of Ireland from a different city. There are no (or at least we did not have) jetways. You enter and exit the plan with steps like other smaller airports. Once inside, pasport control goes by pretty fast and the people working there don't act super professional like they do in other airports, they act like normal people and actually strike up a small conversation with you. I like that. Once you walk through customs, you are in the main part of the airport, you literally walk across the hall, out the door and step into a cab to where you are going. This place is fast an efficient. I can't really comment on any store/services in the airpot because I did not have time to see any, it was that easy to land and get out.

Yelp
It's so cute! Tiny, even. You leave the gate and walk through the appropriate walkway (basically, "items to declare" or not) and there is no lineup, and then suddenly you are outside where the cars drive through to pick up. One of my favourite airports - so quaint and adorable, in a very modern-glass-and-metal kind of way. Super friendly people - and not just people working there! But that's par for the course in Ireland. On departure, I took advantage of the duty free to gather up some gifts, and they had a nice selection of all the things I didn't pick up in touristy spots because I was so busy experiencing the coolness of [Blarney Castle, Guinness Factory, etc].

Yelp
Small and efficient airport. Waiting times are very short and I have yet to see a day where the airport is overcrowded. Walking distances are great and the personnel are friendly and helpful. The only thing that's missing is the Starbucks that closed down about half a year ago.

Yelp
I'm in the process of booking car parking for 24 days at Cork Airport. The price is €175. The price for exactly the same period in Shannon Airport is €126 and in Dublin Airport it is €105. Advice. Don't book flights from Cork Airport until you have checked the car parking charges.
google avatar

Yelp
Small airport and really not much in there . Never really busy and I have flown in the summer months . Dublin and Shannon airports are a different story though in the summer months.

Yelp
Pretty nice small airport. Everyone was very helpful and all the signs are in English and Irish. Luggage came out fairly quickly. Customs and immigration were fast and polite. There were lots of taxis outside and no wait to catch one. This was a really nice little airport. I hope to travel through it again. Cork is a great part of Ireland and so are the people

Yelp
I love this airport so much. They serve a traditional Irish breakfast, they've got a variety of coffee shops and a well named pub called the "Last Call". It's small and convenient, so there's no confusion and hustle of a gigantic airport to throw you every which way. I had no trouble navigating my way through here. The staff is friendly, as was the rest of Ireland, and the gift store was an excellent send off on a trip that was truly a dream come true.

Yelp
A great airport with great staff. I don't fly out from Cork often, but when I do it's never a hassle. They have a nice food court and it's quite easy to get around.
google avatar

Yelp
Super quick and easy airport. FYI - You will need to walk outside and up and down stairs to the planes.

Yelp
No jetway, no food after security, no viewing platform, expensive short term parking which is just as far away as the long term car parking.

Yelp
Small and efficient. I'd rather fly here for meetings than London!

Yelp
Cork airport has two positive 1 is very close to the city and two it's clean and light and bright. The positives end there. The airport doesn't have a great deal to entertain passengers. A wait of over an hour is testing. There is just a duty free shop and newsagents airside and that is all.

Yelp
Fly into Cork and Regret it Today another Aer Lingus flight from Cork cancelled due to fog. This follows my last visit there when it was high winds that caused disruption. On both occasions, hours being taken by bus have resulted in arrival at destination up to 8 hours behind ETA So be warned - and avoid Cork

Yelp
I miss the old airport and all its charms! But that's just me... Still the most convenient airport in the country though, to be fair.

Qype User (Janner…)

Yelp
Friendly efficient and convenient to the town. Quick baggage handling.
