My daughter and I were honored to be part of the soft opening. Everything was flawless, from the bartenders, waitstaff and kitchen. I wouldn’t change a thing! Great place to celebrate a special occasion or grab a salad and share a pizza! Cozy table settings and decor. As part of the soft opening we got to sample two entrees and shared an appetizer. All were presented beautifully, made of fresh quality ingredients and tasted AMAZING! There are so many delicious sounding options on the menu (including vegetarian, & pescatarian). I highly recommend the braised short ribs and blue crab mac & cheese. Both of our cocktails were great, especially the Palermo spritzer. We also took a portion of the lemon tiramisu home and it did not disappoint. Light and refreshing! We will be back soon to try more of the menu!

Attended a pre-opening event last night to sample the food and see the new venue. It’s on the first floor of the Oaklander Hotel and it’s beautiful. Modern decor and lighting. The service was excellent and the staff was well versed on both the bar and food menus. We sampled one appetizer (burrata and prosciutto) three entrees (pasta, pizza, chicken) and two desserts. All were excellent. The new chef and staff are off to a great start. Definitely worth a visit to Oakland to dine here. Adjacent to the Cathedral on Bigelow and Fifth. Valet parking was quick and easy.

The food was excellent! I love that the dishes are simple, common meals, but totally elevated with quality ingredients and unique little twists. The pear butter was unlike anything I’ve tasted before; absolutely delicious! The panzanella salad was full of flavor but still felt light. I am not usually a vodka sauce lover, but I couldn’t stop eating the drunken rigatoni. Like everything else, it was full of flavor but not heavy. The pizza was perfect, and the chocolate panna cotta was sweet and a bit salty with every texture you could want in one bite. I would highly recommend this place!

Had the pleasure of attending the soft opening last night and the experience was wonderful. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. Eager to answer any questions about the menu while being joyful and inviting. My mother and I got to choose from an array of dishes and I can honestly say it really wouldn’t have matter what we picked because everything was amazing. So much so that guests asked each other what the others were having because the food looked and smelled alluring. Vibrant colors and wafting aromas. Food was cooking and served without any flaws or missteps. Flavors stunned and delighted while satisfying to the upmost standards. Drinks were made to perfection the freshest ingredients. Italian sodas are a must try. Throughly enjoyed the experience and I look forward to returning to taste the whole menu and get one of their amazing pizzas. Thank you to the staff for a tremendous experience. Absolutely will be back asap

We arrived right before the sun went down. The main room has a lot of sun and is difficult to see. They immediately accommodated us and moved us. Tayshia was our server. She was incredible. Great recommendations and service. The Brussel sprouts were very good. The pan zanella salad with beans were also very good. We both had pizza. Margherita and mushrooms. So good! Definitely a very good place to dine. Cocktail options top notch with many bourbon options as well as wine. We had Eagle Rare. A must try in Oakland.

I totally feel dubbed, especially after reading so many great reviews but this place is just average, it’s a fine hotel restaurant. We had the squash salad, the bean salad, pizza, and 2 cocktails. The croutons in the bean salad were mushy and honestly the beans tasted like they were dumped in from the can. Both lacked deep flavor and looked like something I would make at home. (I’m still shocked.) The drink prices are HIGH (like even laughable in NYC). Just average, fine but nothing special for the cost and were mild (like were they watered down?). The margarita pizza is NOT a classic margarita pizza. It’s a pesto pizza. It was delicious and the highlight of the meal! Everything else was underwhelming. The cost is high for the actual food, like this is a cross between a basic hotel restaurant and a neighborhood pizza joint. Our server was great! Attentive and fun.

Great new addition to the Pittsburgh restaurant scene. My wife and I had the opportunity to try this brand new spot from Chef Kristin Butterworth & team last night. There is always a bit of risk trying a place so new as they might still be working out the kinks, but we left impressed by the overall experience. - Service: The warm and welcoming staff was attentive and on point. - Cocktails: The Puglia Sunset & Palermo Spritz were our faves. - Food: We enjoyed everything we tried. The Baby Gem and Panzanella salads were picture-worthy and flavorful. They somehow developed their own unique twist on pizza (in a delicious way). The Drunken Rigatoni was a winner too. The menu is thoughtfully curated (i.e. not huge), but you can just tell that they are focused on doing what they do at an extremely high level in an inviting environment.

NEW SPOT📍and it definitely impressed me. The food was stellar, highly recommend the braised ribs and squash salad. I was torn between all the options but J’Tana was really patient and pointed me in the right direction. Super fast service and genuine care made my first experience just perfect. I’ll definitely be back.
