The atmosphere was incredible. The architecture and the decor set the tone beautifully. The service was subpar, avoid being seated upstairs. My steak was inedible. Picture Pokey the horse (Gumby’s side kick) cut and served. The side salads were pitiful, maybe 5 leaves, 2 cherry tomatoes and a thin slice of pepper. A party of 10 next to us had ordered, been served, and were eating by the time our order was taken. The baked brie was sour and chunky, with the saving grace being decent crackers. Empty drinks were not cleared, and our party of 4 seemed to be a burden. The manager was less than caring about customer experience, but the hostess was so kind and sweet. I had asked to pay for our entire bill (so we could leave) and to have my entree removed, and was met with hostility and “protocol”. She seemed more upset I didn’t wait until a check in (my server was non existent) to raise concern over $36 silly putty steak. I was doing my best to be discrete and kind, but ultimately cried in the parking lot from the bewilderment of such mistreatment. Avoid at all costs if you’re wanting a good experience.

Went with 6 people. They had a steak and lobster served with potatoes and vegetables special for $32. We all had drinks. I had a red sangria and it was delicious. Everyone enjoyed their special dinner. And the two that ordered chicken parm enjoyed theirs. Our server was also excellent. I will say the only thing I didn't care for were the young kids seating us. We got there 5 minutes before our reservation. The one young boy said he would seat us at the exact time of our reservation even though the table was ready. This meant 6 people had to stand and block the door on a cold winter night. I thought this was a little silly but he was maybe 12 years old. Anyway other than this we enjoyed our evening.

Wonderful meal at Corkscrew. The food was absolutely phenomenal. Our server Claire was fantastic. She made great recommendations, offered suggestions on top dishes, checked in just enough but was never MIA. Made great wine suggestions to go with our meal. Highly recommend this place.

We always wanted to check this place out and finally went there for our wedding anniversary. Very pleased with experience. The food was amazing, the chef and owner came to check on everything which was very delightful. Great seeing the entire family taking care of business. Two twin boys were hosting and doing outstanding job at the young age. Will plan on coming back! Only 3 stars for the service since we did not get our water glasses refilled the entire night, had to ask multiple times for that.

Brand new soft opening of a new debonair owned concept, and the maker of the wines & beers letter Corkscrew labeled. Justin let us through the techie system to learn how to self pour your own wines and direct your tasting and order your own food. Very millennial concept. A nice addition to the alternatives of having a combo wine and beer place in Geneva, and it's location off the freeway will make it an easy destination spot. Our server just didn't know a lot and helped every customer through navigating the new techie system. Justin is a long time employee from debonair and knowledgeable about all the products. The food was good, and the tasting well very appealing to go try things. Couldn't see how to add photos. Nice bar food.

The service from the host/hostess stand to the waiter, Tom, was amazing. The food was great! What a gem in Medina we found.

We have been going to Corkscrew since Chef Ryan and his family opened and have always had a 10/10 experience. The servers and bar staff are very friendly and almost always accommodate menu substitutions for dietary needs. My wife and I had our 10 year wedding anniversary party there and recently had our 20 year there as well. They configured the private dining room and a prefix fixe menu for our guests as well as reserving our server Claire (by request) who took care of us for our 10 year party as well. The food was the best we’ve ever had, the service was excellent as always and all our family and friends had a great time. Thank you Chef Ryan, Claire and team for helping to make it a beautiful event.

Great spot for outdoor eating. Right next to the pond with beautiful ducks and sound of the fountain in the pond. Server was kind and informative. Food was delicious. Will go back again and try the other menu options.

Everything was great from the service to the food. So good we're going back this evening

An amazing building, though laid out inside differently than expected. House was divided into small section with three mai. Rooms on first floor and another with a bar and seating. I ate in the "bricked wall" room. Seating wasn't tight, but tables were close to each other and one very loud guest's voice reverberated through the entire room. His departure was eagerly awaited. The service was top notch. The waitress provided excellent recommendations and was good at checking in. The food was equally good, though the steak was not very tender. The scalloped potatoes were better than my mom's! We had no room for dessert. Pricing was on the higher end, but for the quality and ambience it was worth it. Reservations are recommended.

We went to the Corkscrew for a 60th birthday celebration. The room was the perfect size for our group. The food was amazing and our waiter was great! We would highly recommend this restaurant.

A great finer dining experience in a quaint location. The bar, dining areas & outdoor patio have always been top notch. Food, drinks & service are always great. Even their holiday brunch food tastes as if it was served right out of the kitchen instead of buffet style. If you're a bourbon lover, their menu is extensive & priced accordingly.

The food and the service were awesome, no complaints there. BUT my husband and I were sat upstairs in a VERY small space, with the MOST annoying party of 12 or 15 group, talking at the top of their lungs-completely oblivious that there were 3 other couples in the room! I felt as though we had to scream in order to talk. Sorry we will NOT go back!!

My husband and I went here for Valentine's Day and my birthday in April! Everything is always so good! We had the two lobster tails and they were excellent! We also had the wedge salad and pot stickers! So good! Great place to celebrate!

The restaurant is unique and fun to visit, however the quality of the food does not match the price. For $150, we got a bottle of wine, an appetizer, and 2 entrees. The stuffed mushrooms we got were great, unfortunately this was the only good thing about our meal. The lamb I ordered was $50 and was the chewiest, toughest lamb I have ever had (prepared medium rare), I was unable to eat it. The potato preparation was dry and the vegetables tasted microwaved. Our server was great and tentative. I would maybe come back for happy hour but I do not recommend ordering entrees from here.

Once again this gem of a restaurant didn't disappoint. We went there last night for dinner and took another couple who had never been there. We were seated in the Master upstairs & the room was just stunning. Our server was Anna and she was phenomenal! Excellent service and the food was amazing! I had the Corkscrew Trio that was delicious & plentiful. My husband the filet, our friends had the Perch dinner & Ribeye- everyone loved their dinner. Definitely recommend this wonderful restaurant.

Just got the clam bake dinner to go. One of the best ever. Recommend it highly . Couldn't even finish the potatoes

My wife asked for her filet to be medium, the first attempt was rare and the second attempt was also rare and then offered her to switch which she did to the ravioli which was edible.

Food was good ambiance was nice but the menu for petite filet a scampi is misleading. Description says as scampi included and $36 add surf and turf for $52 turf is normally lobster their normal menu (this was New Years Eve) has surf and turf as a pound of crab legs or lobster at $50. So why would we expect the turf in this case to be 3 shrimp. Another couple just before us had the same issue on check out when discussing with manger all he says is that's what you get when you let the chef write the menu. I'll not be back.

Best food in Medina. Great service and menu. Good location. Highly recommend their steaks.

We ate here last night for my husband's birthday and were very happy with the experience. I had the corkscrew trio and it was delicious. The serving size was very generous and the scallops and risotto were cooked perfectly. My husband had the sweet Georgia pork chops and they were fork-tender and the scalloped potatoes were so good I kept eating them off his plate. We also ordered a bottle of Chardonnay which I thought was pretty well priced. Ambiance of this place is super cool in an old house and they kept a lot of the character.

Food was excellent and the ambiance is old school. Drinks were excellent and I sent steak back to be cooked a little longer and asked for a second side of their scalloped potatoes they were so good! Service was outstanding and professional. I'll be back but will be more on special occasions because pricy!

Took the family to Corkscrew this evening for dinner. We called ahead and upon arrival, it wasn't very busy so we were seated immediately. Our waitress arrived and provided menus and time to review them. She returned and we placed our drink requests, which included a Downeast Blackberry Cider for me and champagne for my wife. I was between fish and a salad. I decided to go with fish - Lake Erie Perch to be exact. My wife requested chicken parmesan and my daughter, chicken alfredo. All of our dinners were served with salad. We also requested some chicken potstickers as an appetizer. Our waitress delivered some hot rolls, which were very tasty. My salad was delicious. It was obvious that they make their dressings in house because they too were delicious. A short while later, dinner was served. My perch looked like giant fish sticks, but they were hot, crispy, and very tasty, especially when dipped in the house made tartar sauce. My green beans were stellar and the potatoes were just okay. My wife's chicken parm was delicious too and it was a large portion. My daughter enjoyed her chicken alfredo. The meal was very good and the service was even better. We'll visit again.

Finally got around to trying this place after years of driving by and saying that we needed to stop in. It was everything that I had hoped for and more. It's a great location in a cool old house. It's decorated nicely from what I saw. My husband and I sat at the bar to drool over the incredible whiskey selection so we didn't get to look around or check out the dining room. But let me get back to the bar and, let me tell you, it is such an incredible whiskey selection. They also charge very fair prices for pours. The bartenders were incredibly friendly- and so were some of the regulars that were sitting around the bar. My husband and I got a few pours and split an appetizer- the spinach and artichoke dip (which was good, not great) and the NY Strip Steak (which was excellent). The service was quick and efficient and I can't wait to go back again. Really enjoyed visiting this place.

Our party of four ate here last night. The Osso Buco was great. Our server (Anna K) did a great job and was very personable. She provided fantastic service, and was a great asset to the restaurant.

This was our first visit to Corkscrew Saloon. We were very impressed by the Victorian mansion that was converted into a modern restaurant. The service was prompt and friendly. We were there on a Wednesday evening and it looked like every table was taken. The salad was good. Not particularly unusual, but fresh and tasty. I had Pasta Newburg which was shrimp, scallops and crab meat with linguini and a sauce. Very tasty and filling. It was accompanied by warm biscuits. My wife had salmon with au gratin potatoes that she liked. The prices were reasonable as well. This was a very positive experience.

The food was very good. The only thing I would like to see added is more gluten free entree options and some additional side dishes. We always appreciate the good hospitality from their staff.

Lovely place in an old mansion with small separate dining room areas and a good bar up front. Appetizers both good - calamari and stuffed peppers. The stuffed peppers knocked out of the park - delicious. Menu entrees came with soup or salad, but not daily specials. Soups was a nice tomato bisque. Or you can choose French onion for an up charge. My husband had the osso buco with risotto - it was wonderful and had a nice sauce. Blackened grouper good. Lake perch good but not amazing. Large portions of everything. Good wine list and weekly wine specials.

This place was okay. I tried the spinach artichoke dip which was fair. The salad with their house made Gorgonzola which was good. Then I ordered the twin filet mignon medallions that came with scalloped potatoes and a vegetable medley. Food was all tasty. For dessert I got a piece of snickers cake that was so small and crumbling apart. I mentioned something to our server who said it was correct.

We went for Valentine's Day. Food was average for the price. Worse part is that we just started eating our appetizers and the main entree shows up. Most of the customers seated near us were experiencing the same thing. Hard to enjoy an evening out with my wife when all they cared about was flipping tables. Will not go back.

Fresh local fair cannot be missed at this unique location! An old Medina mansion that has rooms upstairs for private dining parties - reservations are always recommended as they do get packed regularly. The calamari is not to be missed - literally can't go wrong with anything on the menu - and their German chocolate cake is to die for - it's perfect!

Can't wait to return! A beautiful place to enjoy a delicious dinner! The staff greet you at the door, with a smile. My wife and I went on a Saturday and had a 7:30 pm reservation. It was very busy, so reservations are a must. We were seated, upstairs, in a room. Which had about 4 tables in it. It had 2 bigger tables, for 4-6 people, and 2 other 2 person tables. There were a few rooms, like this, on the 2nd floor. Lindsey was our server and she was pleasant, helpful, and efficient! We started off with a glass of their house Shiraz. It was a very good wine and we both enjoyed it! My wife ordered the Butternut Squash Ravioli and said it was very good! She did say, be forewarned, that it's on the sweeter side, but she really enjoyed it! I had the Pork Chops! Excellent meal! The pork chops are sous vide and then char grilled! Juicy and savory! I had an empty plate, at the end! We are looking forward to returning as there are more dishes we want to try!

What a unique place! I felt like I was eating at home the way it is set up. We started with the BLT Flatbread which was awesome! It had so much flavor and was different than any pizza I've ever had before. The Veil Schnitzel was very good as well. I've never had Schnitzel with gravy before but it was surprisingly good. Everyone else's meals where very good as well! I will definitely be back!

Absolutely do not waste your money on steak, they cannot make it properly! Ordered medium, it came ice cold and rare, with cold hard butter smeared on top, totally raw except for a basic sear. The fried fish was good, but that's not really hard to prepare. The cheesy scalloped potatoes were a pile of mush. The waitress and receptionist were nice. I did not send the steak back as I'm afraid of retaliation so I went home hungry and cooked my rare steak on the stovetop. Others in my party had the same issue. I will not go back. Plenty of other restaurants in the area with good food.

Fantastic spot. The building is vintage but well maintained. The liquor/beer selection is great and the raspberry mule is really good. The service was also great with our waitress. The chef/ kitchen staff went above and beyond to my son who wanted to try a crab cake cause he's never had one and the chef accommodated. The meal was tasty and I will absolutely be coming back.

Amazing restaurant. First time here and will definitely be back. The Duck Bacon appetizer is great. We ordered Chicken Parmesan and the burger and fries. Very good

Had such a great meal here recently. A large party from work. We had a private room which was fun upstairs. Our server was fantastic. The food was spectacular. I had pork chops they were great. We had many appetizers. I dine around Wadsworth a lot for business. This food is the best so far.

Ate here Saturday night with a group of 4. This is a converted Victorian house (the second oldest house in Medina) and has a nice ambiance. Supposedly it is haunted upstairs but the server said she had worked there 7 years without experiencing any of that. Our server was Misty who was experienced, friendly and attentive. They had a special Valentines dinner for 2 for $69. You share a salad and a dessert and each person gets an entree. I had salmon and my wife had a steak--the latter was larger than I would have expected. One of our party had the lobster tails--it also was a surprisingly generous serving. Dessert for both couples was creme brulee. Everything tasted great. We had a great time and good value for our dollar.

Happy hour is excellent. We especially enjoy taco Tuesday with $4 margaritas. The street corn dip is our favorite along with fish tacos. Our waiter Tom is so friendly and accommodating who will give you service with a smile.

The service was good. The atmosphere was okay. The drinks were very strong and fruit flies came with the salad. Made me wonder how bad they were in the kitchen if there were several lingering around our salads. Also, the food was a bit pricey for what you got. May go back since it's been a bit since I was there.

My husband and I have had dinner at the bar twice. Rose is an attentive and friendly bartender. The happy hour deals are great-- flatbread special, beer, and rye. The regular menu entrees include a nicely appointed salad. The scalloped potatoes are delicious-- a throwback to everyone's grandma's recipe. The bourbon list did not disappoint. If we lived closer, we'd definitely be regulars.

Local, really nice for casual and fine dining occasions. Love the character of the building. We've always had a excellent service and food/drinks.

Ordered one of the family prime rib specials for an early Mother's Day dinner on their take out menu. Lots of food for the price and everything was boxed well. We fed 4 adults and 2 kids with leftovers. Service was great with someone outside coming to your car as soon as you pull in. Will definitely have to try here again.

I don't review very often but this place definitely deserves a 5 star review. At this time, due to Covid, only outdoor seating is available. All the tables are spaced apart and the scenery is lovely. The waitress was excellent and the food I ordered was done to perfection. The portions were so large that it served as another 2 meals at home. This is one of the best places I've been to in a long time. Enjoyed the ducks and geese in their beautiful pond

We had a very pleasant dinner and the food was good. Four of us noticed that you could upgrade the specials dinners and add a Wedge salad for $5 rather than the usual $10. When our bills came we were charged $10 for these small salads. I did write to complain and when they called back they explained we were all confused by their language on the menu.

First time trying out Corkscrew Saloon and it did not disappoint! I had a great meal for my birthday and would go back! The drinks were delicious and the spinach artichoke dip was perfectly made. I have some food allergies and the waiter (Tom?) stopped what he was doing to check if the pita would be okay for me to eat! The lobster ravioli had a delicious sauce that paired nicely with the ravioli and really like you enjoy the lobster. Overall the food and experience was great!

This is a beautiful restaurant! It's a lot nice than I expected, especially with saloon in the name. We ate upstairs and had Brandon as our server. He was FANTASTIC! My husband travels on business and said Brandon is the best waiter he's seen in a long time. He was very attentive, nice and willing to provide his opinion when we asked The dinner rolls were so good - they were like a pastry!! Mmmmmmmm We got the Baked Brie appetizer - very good. We both ordered the Ribeye dinner. The steaks were done perfectly, as was the asparagus. The potatoes were really good too. My husband got carrot cake for dessert - he said it was the best carrot cake he's ever had I ordered the Oreo torte. They ended up being out of the regular Oreo torte, but had a mint Oreo torte and it was so good! We both had coffee - we are coffee snobs - and it was delicious!! This place is really good - good for a special occasion too!!

Attractive restaurant located in a 150+ old mansion situated in the city of Medina right by Medina square. The inside as many rooms with an upstairs and a nice bar. In the summertime, they have a patio with a little pond. When we got there, the hostess greeted us with a smile and was very helpful to get us seated quickly, even though it was bustling. I would recommend reservations on a Friday or Saturday night. One seated, the waitress was very knowledgeable and for us our drinks quickly. The drinks were tasty and flavorful, plus they had a reasonable selection of craft beers. The food was excellent but a little overpriced for what you got. I highly recommend visiting this place for a great meal and a different kind of scenery for a restaurant.

I'm very impressed with this establishment! The location is incredible. Located in a massive 150+ year old mansion, the decor is gorgeous. The food is phenomenal, the staff are amazing, the desserts are super yummy, the beer and wine selection is top-notch. Ugh!!! I could go on and on. Medina, Ohio isn't exactly a greatly sought vacation destination, however THIS restaurant should be. It rocks! Make a reservation. You WILL be pleased.

The ambience is nice and the service is friendly enough. But for the price of the food with the quality I would eat here regularly. For me, if I'm spending that much on food I want it to be really great and not was just okay. Would rather go to the other nicer restaurants around town instead.

I tried to order the " well" bourbon and the waitress did not know what it was. Their drink menu was a phone ap that did not work. She asked my preference and I told her a brand I knew - medium priced that I have purchased by the bottle, nothing fancy. When my bill arrived, I had a "special" version of this ordinary bourbon and they had charged me $40 per drink! The waitress did not think my going from the "well" - cheapest- to a $700/ bottle was odd? She knew I had not seen a menu. I spoke to the owner and he agreed that my $120 bar tab was a learning for his staff, at my expense. Well it was a learning opportunity for me too! There are plenty of reasonable great restaurants in Medina, with no unpleasant surprises. This is not one.

Hosted a dinner party for my parents' 50th wedding anniversary. Service was top-notch, our server, Tom was awesome!! He was on top of everything and very accommodating. Food was amazing as well. If you are looking to support a local venue and want delicious food and impeccable service- look no further than the corkscrew saloon.
