Corktown Common

Beautiful park in Corktown and such a quiet peaceful area. Even though it's part of the city it's feeling is outside of the hectic city. Great spot for families and kids. Most of the area is designed for children. Perfect for walks and taking the family dogs for a walk.

2022 July 3★ A good amount of green space, a small play area with a slide, swings and a see saw. A splash pad nearby. Most people come here to just relax, picnic and really enjoy the weather. The trails are nice and are part of a larger path. Pros: public washrooms Limited Paid parking on nearby side streets.

Definitely one of my favourite parks in Toronto! ✨ I always love taking my little pupper to see the other dogs here! This place is super pet friendly! There’s a playground, lots of open spaces for people and dogs to have great time! ミ★(*^‿^*)

a wonderful place! the park opened in 2014 and besides decorative function it is also a part of flood protection system for that part of Toronto. There are ponds with wildlife (turtles, frogs and birds and probably more). in warmer months it gets busy with many people picnicking, sometimes with loud music unfortunately.

I ❤ this park. Clean and beautiful place. We had a great time playing in the slide area, we love the big slide that is pretty fun. My kids arrived home very hungry and tired because they had a wonderful time at the park. You have also a nice view of the CN Tower. Swings area is also nice. Lots of green areas. Pets are also happy because they have a lot of space to play and run. I highly recommend this place, for me as mom the slides are the best part. 🎢

A lovely, wheelchair friendly park that highlights native plant life. It's a fun area to explore with kids and they have a unique play area with a splash pad, metal slides, sand pits, and such. I suggest parking on Front or Mill street.

I wish I had have had more time to fully explore this area. The Commons are quite nice with good views of the Toronto skyline. There is a pretty cool playground for kids and a splash pad. There is a marsh, and if you listen you'll hear the bullfrogs calling to each other. You can also access the Lower Don Trail from here. It's a nice quiet, space to get into nature while still being in the city. And just outside the Commons there are some cool sculptures and some restaurants with nice patios.

The pros to this park is that it has lots of green space to have a picnic or to relax. There are benches and picnic tables available. There is a nice small swirl of a trail as well. The splash pad is decent but what sells is the view. You can see the CN tower and the city from the splash pad. My 3 year old had an absolutely amazing time! The park is pretty nice too with swings, slides and see-saws. It is close to distillery district by walk. The cons is definitely the parking. The outdoor street parking AND indoor parking fill up so fast!! We spent over 15-20 minutes looking for parking. I’m not a fan of the metal slides in the playground. We went on a hot July afternoon and I had to say no to my son who wanted to go on the slide so badly.

It is a great playground with great views of the city and lots of green trees and grass around. There is a water area, swing area, seesaw, two slides, sand pit, etc. The only thing missing are climbing structures. The slides are made of thin metal so they could be hot in the sun. It is connected to bicycle paths. There are washrooms and drinking fountains. There are also areas of shade in case the sun is too hot. There is no WiFi. The park has picnic tables and lots of grass for suntanning. There is a whole nature area with walking trails and ponds. You can see/hear birds, turtles and frogs.

If I had a dog or a kid, I would totally bring either or both here! This is a cool little park built up on a mound on the edge of downtown. It's easily accessible from the Don River Trail. There are plenty of swings and climbing rocks for the kids. The best part is the slides! They have a couple of cool as heck slides. If it wouldn't have looked weird, I totally would have gone down the big one. This is gorgeous!

BOTTOM LINE: Proof that when you remove the Toronto City Council as the sole financial decider, Toronto can become a world class city. When was the last time a park was built in downtown, let alone one so well designed? Well, this park was developed by the Watertown Toronto, which is funded by the governments of Canada, Ontario and the City of Toronto. It is only half completed at this point and will close after mid-September to complete the rest of it, so go quick! The space is gorgeous with marshlands, elevations, open grass fields and playsets (swings, slides, teeter totters, etc.). The giant slide which must be at least a storey-and-a-half high is reason enough to visit. You can see the residences being built next to it to house the Pan-am athletes next year. If this is a preview of what Waterfront Toronto can do, I think we're gonna be in good hands. I'm looking forward to their next stage in redeveloping the waterfront.

As soon as you walk in the temperature drops and country smells uplift you. It's a herbalists paradise with plenty of birds too. Huge flat grassy areas good for playing fetch or frisbee. Splash pad in the summer to cool off with interesting architecture. I love it here.

A bit dead in winter but nice piece of land. Many people with dogs. Some bums down near the water on the paths. Bike path around the perimeter. Paths under construction in winter 2019-2020. Near distillery district which is neat.

My first review on the go! Beautiful new public space. Nice to see the Waterfront Toronto plan making some progress. Lots of kiddies playing in the splash pad area. There was a serious lack of shade though throughout the park. Hopefully something they remedy in the future. Speaking of, the park is only open until September 2nd. So check it out while you can!

This has to be one of the best parks I've ever been to, brand new and full of awesome things to see and do. one of the newer parks in the city of Toronto, this park is on a massive 18 acre chunk of land, sadly surrounded by condos(if that's depressing) very happy to come to this park and find it to be very quiet, but awesome views of the city. if I had a dog, I would go out of my way to come here, if I had a kid, I would go out of my way to come here. if I lived in the area I would walk this park. the area is also home to a marsh, which allows people to see animals that you normally don't see in the city, for example I saw a couple different breeds of frogs and ducks that normally you do not see in the Toronto area. this un-common park is a bit of fresh air for the east end of Toronto, I wouldn't go so far as to call this apart of the downtown core, but not terribly far away from it either. transit options: 514 cherry street would be the closest option, with 501, 502, 503, 504 being an option as well with a bit of walking. bus wise, 72B and 121/a are also options, im not sure about dedicated parking for this park, but I know some lots exist in the area.

My roomie comes down here with the pup a lot.They love it! But finally I got my very own self down to see what the commotion is about. I love it too! So glad they (mysterious 'they' people who build parks) have done something so great with this former waste of space. Winding paths through plants and ponds. Grassy areas to sit and chill or play with your pup or young'uns. I saw dozens of bees in the gardens. BEES! I'm so happy they have a fun place to drink tons of flowers and be around their fun buzzy friends. Don't worry, they were very focused on the flowers, and not at all focused on me. We wandered down to the play area to check it out. Super fun. Big slide, teeter-totter, and swings. I'm young at heart and took a turn on the swings myself, just to make sure they were up to par. The splash pad wasn't splashy, but it looked like it'd be tons o' fun with the water turned on. I'll be coming back. Giving it 4 stars for now. But when it's completed, i'll update :) p.s. there is also some revitalizing going on underneath the overpass at Eastern Ave. More playground structures on the West side of River, and some basketball hoops on the East side. Bring a ball down and enjoy a game in the shade.

Corktown Commons is an amazing addition to Toronto's public infrastructure. First of all, it's an great park with meandering paths, lots of trees, a playground, a splash pad and a small pond. What makes this place even better is that it also serves as flood protection for the neighborhood around it.

I have no idea what Sonia A is talking about??! This place is amazing for the community and for families. Its state of the art with creative ways for children to play. I couldn't get my nephew to leave the place.

I cannot believe how beautiful this new park is! I went here for the first time today and was totally impressed. I loved LOVED strolling along the paths, watching the dragonflies, and listening to the frogs in the ponds. It is beautifully planted already and when the construction is fully finished on all the surrounding condos, this place is going to be completely amazing! What a bonus right in my backyard! The water park was dope too and it made me wish I was a kid!

Nice space they have created. Trees are still young but it will be nice in a few years. Doesn't get too busy as some of the parks on west end which is nice. Has a kids play area and lots of open space.
