Cornell AgriTech (New York State Agricultural Experiment Station)

Cornell AgriTech provides agricultural research, extension, and education to a wide variety of stakeholders in New York State. Founded in 1880, it has continuously been a leader in research, with a particular focus within the fields of horticulture, pathology, food science, and entomology. The campus is over 700 acres and includes over 300 faculty, staff, and students working to protect and improve NY state agriculture. A number of key innovations have been made here, notably the development of many important apple and grape varieties.

A great place to perform research. A lot of work here is focused towards learning more about insects, bacteria, viruses, and growth issues that affect New York crops. Many faculty and scientists also apply their research directly to fields and farmers in the area
