I wrote a very long and detailed review and it’s missing. So this one will be shorter. We were there in the middle of a Sunday afternoon and there were only a few other people in the restaurant. They only serve a brunch menu on Sunday. We waited over an hour for our food. The brussels sprouts did come out before the other food and were wonderful. The macaroni was very bland outside of the bites that had green onion and bacon in them. I was very disappointed. The grits were flavorful. The atmosphere was nice but waiting that long For food was very disappointing when there weren’t very many people in there. I can’t imagine how long it would take on a busy Friday night. We were visiting Dayton that day and we were disappointed because this is a highly rated restaurant. Hopefully they were just having a bad day. We also got a parking ticket for parking across the street. We didn’t see the pay here signs so that’s on us. Just be careful where you park in that area.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Corner Kitchen, located in downtown Dayton, Ohio in the Oregon District. This charming restaurant offers brunch on the weekends, with Saturday hours from 11 AM to 3 PM and an all-day brunch menu on Sundays. In addition to their brunch offerings, they also have lunch items and a full cocktail menu with a fully stocked bar. The restaurant itself is very aesthetically pleasing, with a cozy and inviting atmosphere. The staff at Corner Kitchen were incredibly helpful and friendly when it came to selecting menu items, which made the dining experience even more enjoyable. While I found the food to be moderately decent, the highlight for me was the full open bar, which offered a great selection of drinks to accompany the meal. One of the standout features of Corner Kitchen is the seating options, with both indoor and outdoor seating available. Whether you prefer the lively atmosphere indoors or the fresh air of the outdoor patio, there is a seating choice to suit every preference. Overall, my experience at Corner Kitchen was positive, and I would definitely consider returning, especially for the full open bar and the welcoming ambiance of the restaurant. If you're looking for a cozy spot to enjoy a meal and drinks in downtown Dayton, Cozy Kitchen is worth a visit.

Decided to try this restaurant, always walked by it when in the Oregon District but never gave them a try. It was more than I expected to my surprise. Made reservations, was a little late but the hostess still accommodated us. Restaurant has a modern upscale chic type of feel. Small dining room but clean, utensils clean, glass clean. I came here 3.5 months ago just never got the time to make this review. Our waitress was pleasant and extremely helpful. I ordered the blueberry pork chop, it was a unique experience will order again! Was cooked to perfection, tender in all the right places. Husband ordered the shrimp and grits with a salad. I highly recommend this place and I will be returning.

I went here to celebrate Father’s Day with my family and got a nice window seat. Everything was delicious and I really enjoyed my servers attitude toward my family (we can be a tough bunch to deal with). I accidentally miss scheduled the day and didn’t get to try the dinner menu when I went but the brunch menu was really good. We tried multiple apps and they were all great and multiple desserts and those all received high praise. The only thing that I wasn’t impressed with was their red pepper pasta, which I got with chicken, it didn’t have enough flavor. Overall this restaurant was fantastic and I’ll be giving them another visit sometime!

Have had corner kitchen on the list for quite some time. Family was in town so we made reservations for Father’s Day. We were sat immediately. The drinks were amazing, bee sting had just the right kick and the fools gold was perfectly mixed. Apps were spot on; deviled eggs and salads. The food was truly amazing. The chicken was seasoned well and the fish was cooked to perfection. The atmosphere was ok, a bit dated but nice lighting. Our server was incredibly nice. However, after dinner we ordered dessert and coffee. And it never came. Almost 30 min went by and no food or server. Unfortunately we cancelled them and just asked for the bill. Small incident in the grand scheme. Would go back to redeem the experience given the quality of the food.

We were in last night with a group of friends, and everything was wonderful ! It was our first time visiting . Our server was incredible, never leaving our glasses empty and had an amazing personality. She seemed to love having our group there and really gave us a top notch experience. I had the wedge salad and the filet with mushrooms and chimichuri sauce, and it was cooked to perfection and was very delicious . We were able to enjoy the Happy Hour special on wine glasses, and then enjoyed a delicious espresso martini for desert. It was one of the best restaurant experiences I’ve had in some time!! Already can’t wait to go back and try some other menu items that looked really good !

This restaurant was a vibe!! We came in on a Saturday around 4ish pm and were told the inside was booked from reservations and we could either sit at the bar or on the patio so we chose bar seating. The staff were friendly and the food was delicious. I highly recommend and if you are able to make reservations than do that so you can enjoy the comfort inside.

Well to start, we had a reservation. We arrived 10 minutes before just to wait for 25 minutes after the reserved time. It would have been longer but we were sat out of order. Which caused additional issues as you could imagine. They called my name and I tried to clarify 3 times since my name is fairly common. Well I was the wrong one. The response from the host was “owell, we messed up”. Personally I don’t see that as the correct response to a fairly large mess up. Now to the food. The appetizer was fine, no complaints there. I personally ordered the fillet, with mashed potatoes and Mac n cheese. The Filet was fine, not bad not great. Definitely better places around. The Mac n cheese was good. The mashed potatoes though….. they might as well of handed me a steam potato and called it a day. No salt or other seasonings. If there was butter I would have been shocked. Bland would be considered a seasoning this night. I’d have a hard time recommending CK or coming back to this place. Maybe it holds up because it’s that old Dayton charm, or it was an off night. In the restaurant industry off nights can make or break a business.
