The very definition of vegetarian that you will love. They have both vegan and vegetarian choices that will satisfy your cravings. A must visit place to try thier unique dishes you won't regret. The only down side is the parking slot is very limited and it's literally in the corner. Still a place you'd like to come back to if not for the traffic. Thier banoffee pie was awesomely one of the freshest and tastiest I've tired. They also have new dishes that really made my visit satisfying.

What a great place this is for some super tasty vegetarian and vegan food. It’s a lovely ambience and the guy serving us was really friendly and welcoming. Beers were really chilled and they had a good selection of other drinks too. We had some lovely crispy vegetarian spring rolls to start - hot and crispy. We also had the Veg Laing and Kare-Kareng Gulay and both were utterly delicious, with really lovely fluffy rice. There’s so many options on the menu to choose from, it really is an excellent choice for veggie food.

Located in a highly visible spot along Jupiter St. in Makati, Corner Tree Cafe is a humble restaurant serving healthy meals and specializing in vegan dishes. They serve food inspired by various cuisines such as Mediterranean, Indian, Japanese, and of course, Filipino, among others. The dishes are also visually appealing and colorful. While I don’t think everyone appreciates vegan food, Corner Tree delivered more than what I expected. I encourage you to try a dessert aside from the main courses. They also have speciality cakes that need to be ordered at least two days prior. Here’s my summary of ratings: Food/Taste: 8/10 Service: 9/10 Place: 7/10 Price: 8/10 The cafe is not that spacious; it has about seven tables, I think. However, its petiteness makes it a charming meetup place. The toilet is separate from the dining area. The parking can accommodate up to four vehicles. Corener Tree accepts cash and card payments.

Google
One of the go-to vegetarian restaurants in Makati. I especially love their Rut Roasts and Buddha bowls. Although I'm not very fond of desserts and/or sweets, but I found their Banoffee Cake very good.

Google
The food is okay to me, not too special! But I really like the vibe! It's calm and relaxing, feel like getting away from busy Makati! Toilet is outside, you have to ask staff to get the key to go! Will come back if I hang out with my vegetarian friends only!

They have great options for vegan food. The servings are big and the food is awesome. Love the service.

Google
Good Place when you are on a strict diet or vegan/vegetarian in general. They seem to know their stuff and staff knows how to deal with people with strict food restrictions. Very hidden in the makati area, it’s walkable from Poblacion area. It seemed like the food is fresh, I’m not a vegan so I don’t know how some of this supposed to tatse but it was a very tasteless for me. Healthy but the flavors are improbable I guess. The chocolate cookies are very good tho, dairy free. Gluten free and what ever and still tastes very good ! Cheers

Google
Amazing vegan food. Lovely little place in the middle of Makati, where the whole menu is vegetarian and vegan. They take a plant based spin on Filipino classics and the result is great. I had the vegan arroz a la cubana and it was super tasty! The lady that served me was nice and kind too. Oh and apparently the owner is a big animal lover and they have a little donation box for PETA to support dogs and cats in need :)

Yelp
Wonderful atmosphere as well as delicious food that didn't disappoint. I returned to this restaurant as I was unable to come to the Philippines since 2018 and am glad that the quality is still impeccable. The service was friendly and punctual.

Yelp
I loved this place. It's healthy, organic and hippie. The desserts were delicious! The salted caramel chocolate torte was flawless. Coffee were superb! Staff was chill. Other diners brought good vibes. Such a sweet little cafe with a HEART!

Yelp
I came to this restaurant only because of my friends request otherwise I would probably not dine here as it is a Vegan/vegetarian restaurant. The dumplings were not bad too start with and had good mushroom flavor. The arroz ala Cubana made from tofu for me lacked flavor and spice. Had to request for chili / hot sauce. Service wasn't the best but was friendly.

Yelp
Hella good food. I ordered the veggie burger. It was good. Tasted salty like a real burger, not like fake imitation meat. Hella long wait for food. I went alone. There wifi was super slow so I didn't want to play on my phone. I waited almost an hour for the burger. I almost fell asleep.

Yelp
Corner Tree Cafe is a lovely little vegetarian restaurant found in Jupiter street. I'd often pass by and get drawn to the sign and the look of the restaurant with the big tree beside it adorned with pretty lanterns. I'd also often see foreigners or backpackers go in in the mornings so it definitely caught more of my attention. It was probably a pretty good vegetarian restaurant if foreigners were flocking to it and I guessed right. :) The first time I ate there was a blow out for my birthday dinner last year. I love Corner Tree Cafe at night! The ambiance is calming, chill and sweet. The dim, candlelit lighting makes for a perfect romantic or mysterious mood and also a perfect bonding moment for friends and dates or a nice place to do some laptop work. Some of the dishes I've tried and loved are the Greek spinach filo triangles, Arroz a la Cubana, spinach & mushroom lasagna and my absolute favorite, the grilled asparagus panini! The balance of flavors is so good and the pairing of the bread and cheese with the asparagus is ace in my book. The salted caramel chocolate torte is simply sinful and I also enjoyed their organic lemongrass ice tea. They also have Pinoy dishes and dishes of the day so you can try those as well. The pricing is a bit high which you'd expect of organic food, but for me, it was totally worth it. If you're going there for dinner, it's probably best to call for a reservation (as I have in the past) as the restaurant is small and the place is usually packed. Healthy, chemical-free & delicious food is definitely a plus. The food is so tasty that you wouldn't miss the meat!

Yelp
I lived in Makati during most of 2012, and OMG, I have been wanting to write a review of Corner Tree Cafe for AGES! I'm so excited to Yelp about the Philippines! I arrived in Manila armed with the spot.ph list of the best veg restaurants in Manila, and Corner Tree Cafe was the first on my list. I tried a few other veg spots, but they did not even come close to Corner Tree! My favorite dish was definitely the Koftas in tomato sauce. After trying it on a return visit, I ordered this dish for delivery at least once a week. The vegetable stew is delicious, and the walnut burger is OK. The starter plate is so good, as is are the dumplings and the croquettes. I also tried the egg salad sandwich once, which was pretty good. I never did get a taste for Filipino food, so I didn't try any of those dishes. Desserts were delicious, and I also remember the wine being excellent. The prices are steep for your average Filipino. I usually spent about 15USD/700PHP on a three course meal (not including beverage). I love the atmosphere at Corner Tree - intimate and cozy. Everyone who works here is very kind and friendly. It's definitely got a cafe feel! This was (and still is) my favorite restaurant in Manila. Even if you are not a vegetarian/vegan, you will enjoy the food at Corner Tree Cafe. Thank you, Corner Tree Cafe, for making my stay in the Phils feel a little more like home!

Yelp
Eating out is always fun. Eating out at a place that feels as cozy and inviting as your grandmother's kitchen is even better! Corner Tree feels exactly like this, which makes each visit anticipated knowing there's a feast awaiting. The catch is, their menu is exclusively vegetarian. This is a good thing. Corner Tree was one of the first few restaurants we could count on when some of my family members needed to overhaul their diet for health reasons -- no easy feat for staunch meat eaters! With this in mind, we knew we had a winner when our carnivores requested a 2nd, 3rd, 4th trip back. Nestled along Jupiter St. in Makati, the small café takes pride in offering food choices that have their influences from different parts of the world. They have vegetarian versions of famous meat dishes; from burgers to a bowl of chili to a local serving of Kare-Kare, many diners are often surprised to learn that what they are eating is purely made from organic products. That's what made us come back for more, and would imagine fellow diners feel the same way. The homey atmosphere makes it feel like everyone's own little secret and an essential food destination for both vegans and non-vegans alike.

Yelp
Corner Tree Cafe you do not disappoint. I am finally writing a review to share snippets from the multiple wonderful experiences I've had at this restaurant. The menu contains a large selection of vegetarian and vegan dishes. There is also a GIGANTIC blackboard of featured dishes and desserts that are inspired by current world events. The service staff is friendly and you get just the right amount of attention from them. Questions regarding items on the standard menu are answered without having to consult the kitchen. Suggestions are readily given but scripted specials are not. The ambiance is cozy and inviting. It's like being in a friend's well put together living room. There is a little nook with a sitting area at the entrance to Corner Tree. There are magazines and an announcement board to entertain you while you wait for a table or have a cup of coffee. Of course the tables by the windows are the best seats in the house and you may have to wait since those fill up fast. The Teriyaki Tofu and Asparagus Bowl is the best! Wild rice with lots of tofu and asparagus topped with Teriyaki sauce and sesame. You just can't go wrong with that combination. The Sweet Potato Fries with Vegan Mayonnaise were delicious. Ask for the fries extra crispy. You're welcome. You may also want to let the waiter know that you want the dishes to be served as they become ready. Unless you want them served all at once. Or you want the courses served in order. Just let them know your preference and they will accommodate you. Book a reservation if you are planning to eat there on a weekend or close to peak hours. I also noticed that they started doing To-Go orders through Food Panda. I guess even more people are going to be able to enjoy Corner Tree Cafe's great food.

Yelp
Excellent vegan options! Their vegan lumpia and vegan sinigang was absolutely delicious! Hit the spot with a pineapple shake! Mmm, I miss this place already!

Yelp
I was tempted to go with the Diwali special of mixed Indian foods, but in the end I couldn't pass up the rare opportunity to have vegetarian versions of Filipino dishes that are normally laden with meat. I started with the lumpias (basically fried spring rolls); the vinegar dipping sauce is a nice alternative to normally sweet sauces. Next up was the roasted carrot soup. I wasn't sure what to expect (I guess I was thinking of a rich roasted tomato taste), but this soup was much more sublime. I think I would have preferred a bit more spice, but thankfully it wasn't a heavy cream soup. Finally, the kare-kareng gulay was surprisingly hearty, with a rich but not overpowering peanut sauce, touches of spice, and red rice to complement.

Yelp
A great vegan option in Makati...Corner Tree Cafe has an extensive menu and most items are yummy, especially the desserts like the Banofee pie!

Yelp
Amazing & delicious place. I found this place on yelp and i was in the mood for some veggies . Best choice ever, and i don't ususlly write reviews unless i'm giving 5 starts or 1 star. I tried: - quinoa salad - dumplings - spring rolls -teriaky tofu - sweet potato fries - corn brear Definitely recommended. :)

Yelp
A hidden gem concealed by the leaves of a massive tree that I assume is the namesake, this place is a veggie-friendly wonderland!! My favorite restaurant in the Philippines. As a vegetarian American expat, I have found that it is extremely difficult to find healthy food in Manila, but you can always count on Corner Tree Cafe to give you the delicious yet nutritious boost you need to take on the rest of your day! The premises are very clean, and the service is quick. I had the Tofu Walnut burger, which had a very filling savory "meaty" texture, and excellent accompanying sweet potato fries. They were so crispy and yummy you'd never be able to tell they weren't regular French fries. The vegetable dumplings are a favorite of mine as well, very supple exterior and great nourishing vegetable filling. The mellow sweetness of the jicama coupled with the tang of the vinegar dipping sauce made for a wonderful contrast, and very aesthetically pleasing presentation as well! The lemongrass tea is sweet and a great pick me up for getting your mornings started. I will definitely be making a return trip here!

Yelp
I had the opportunity to try Corner Tree Cafe one hot summer afternoon and it turned out to be a lovely way to beat the heat. Located on Jupiter Street in Makati, Corner Tree Cafe gets its name from the rather large tree that gives it shade, and adds to its ambiance as well. When you go inside, you'll see lots of little ethnic touches here and there. I especially love the South Asian tapestries that adorn the walls and the little Asian furnishings that owner Chiqui Mabanta has picked up from her travels across the world. Not surprisingly, you'll see a lot of hippie types dining here, aside from expats, yuppies and beautiful people, if you're into that kind of thing. I must praise the Spinach Feta Croquettes, which look like fat little falafels, but are actually made with red rice. I also love that they serve it with harissa, which is a kind of spicy Persian sauce. Their Baked Tofu Walnut Burger is also really good, and you have the option to add gruyere or cheddar cheese, fried onions or fried eggs to make it even better. The vegetarian Arroz A La Cubana is also worth a try - I'm a huge fan of arroz a la cubana, but they cook it so well that you may not even notice that you're eating ground tofu instead of ground pork. It's a shame I don't live in Makati, because Corner Tree Cafe is exactly the kind of restaurant I would love to dine at more often if only distance wasn't an issue.

Yelp
I LOVE Corner Tree. It's the place I brought my hardcore vegan friend from Canada, where she proceeded to eat two meals, three cups of rice with room for more dessert. (So it also passes muster.) I love its dimly lit interiors, mismatched table settings, and cozy feel. Corner Tree only seats around 20 to 25, and gets pretty full on weeknights so it's best to call in a reservation. It's also very intimate-- where the tables are almost touching. I kind of felt bad for the couple next to us-- who were obviously trying to set up some kind of mood, but they were seated next to a group of 4 amigas who go way back since a decade ago and had very salacious topics. That's the thing about Corner Tree, it's so small that sound carries well over the entire place. But I suppose you can sit through some gossip if you really want their mouthwatering vegetable curry and their vegan kare kare.

Yelp
My best friend recommended this place to me since they're one of the few restaurants near us that offer vegan items and I love this place! Their menu has a nice balance of vegan, vegetarian and regular food. So it's perfect for everyone! Easily one of my go-to spots. My favorite thing on the menu is their Falafel Sandwich; probably the best Falafels I've ever had. Not to mention, their sweet potato fries are extremely yummy. I also recommend their Walnut Tofu Burger (my best friend's favorite) and their vegan chocolate cake!

Yelp
I'm always excited to try out new vegetarian restaurants and have high hopes that the food will be tasty and flavorful, but often times this isn't the case. Located on Jupiter Street with an entrance that doesn't face the street head on, you can easily miss this place. That would be a grave mistake. It's a quaint little place, almost like a cottage. There are a few tables so you almost feel like you're dining at someone's home and the staff make you feel that way. This place has such a wide variety of items to choose from with dishes from Asia to Africa, Europe, the Middle East and the Americas. There are vegan options, gluten free options and plain old vegetarian options. Everything I've ever had here has been fabulous. I especially like the Arroz A La Cubana, red rice mixed with tomatoes, olives, tofu, fried bananas and raisins. It sounds a bit weird and simple, but I assure you it's worth trying. Don't forget to add an egg! The Bibimbap is delicious. I get it quite often because it fulfills my need for a bowl full of veggies, a bit of spice and fills me up. Save room for dessert because they are out of this world. The Banoffee blew my mind and the Salted Caramel Chocolate Torte is like eating creamy, soft Belgium chocolate in every bite. To wash it all down, if you feel like a little more than Organic Lemongrass Tea, you can stay organic and get the Maeloc Organic Cider from Spain. Yum! Owner Chiqui Mabanta said her sister Giovanna gave her the best advice: "Make sure each dish is inspiring." With such a vast menu you would think this would be impossible, but I tell you, Chiqui is a master. Because the menu is so varied, I could eat here everyday. Lookout for the daily specials. You just might be lucky enough to get the lentil pate! What's not to like about this place?

Yelp
Charming, romantic, delicious, with a range of menu offerings to please many palates, and plenty of vegan choices. We ordered three Filipino dishes and loved every one: definitely the best meal we had in 2 weeks in the Philippines.
google avatar

David T.

Yelp
Food was delicious, vegan/vegetarian friendly and had amazing flavor. Place was packed and they still made room for everyone. Service was great and friendly. I will come back again. Had the carrot soup and grilled cheese combo. Wonderful mix of tastes.

Yelp
This is a really good choice if you're a veg. Even if you're not, you'll enjoy the food here. First off, the place is really cozy. The atmosphere is like a home. It's a corner house on Jupiter which is right by a lovely old tree. The inside has low ceilings and wooden tables and it's really relaxed. The food is also really good. There's a good selection of both Filipino and non-Filipino dishes. But the absolute must-try is the Arros ala Cubana. It's super tasty and delicious! The veg sinigang is also great and it is made with organic local ingredients! For dessert there are a few cakes, iice creams and popsicles from Liq My Stick! Yum!
google avatar

Yelp
Vegans, Vegetarians, health nuts, or just foodies in general, rejoice! Corner Tree Café is here to satisfy your cravings! This little, cozy restaurant that got its name from the tree that is just outside, would remind you almost instantly of your grandmother's kitchen and cooking. Though it serves vegetarian food, not all guests are such. This is a true testament that good food can also be healthy food. When you are inside, you will marvel upon the ethic decors that makes you feel like you're having a yogi getaway in Bali. The foods...let's just take a moment to thank God for the food they serve here. They are all so amazing and you wouldn't even mind eating a lot since they are all healthy!
google avatar

Walter P.

Yelp
Although 80% of the guest are non-vegetarian, if you are vegan or vegetarian you should definitely visit this place. There are not a lot of places in Manila with a cosy character and so I'm happy to have this place in Jupiter that I can visit when I'm in the area. Before there was corner tree, this place was actually a deli for years and before that it was just a house like any other house on jupiter street. It is just that all the other houses have been demolished and this was is one of the few standing. The menu has a lot of options so there is always something that you'll like. If you don't know what to get you can get the arroz a la cubano ;) Service is fast and friendly. They also have good vegan ice cream here!

Yelp
If you're tired of the usual busy noise around Jupiter Street in Makati, try seeking refuge in Corner Tree Café. It's a quaint restaurant along Jupiter Street, located at a small corner and right behind a big tree. (Corner. Tree. Go figure, right?) It's a healthy vegetarian restaurant with mixed cuisine, highly recommend by lots of food critics. I'm a big fan of their Spinach Feta Croquettes - spinach, feta cheese, organic rice, and special yogurt sauce. Short story: I had my wisdom teeth extracted when I first visited this restaurant and this was the only thing I could eat! They were extra considerate to cook it especially soft since I couldn't chew properly. I've also tried their moussaka and vege lasagna, and I love their lemongrass iced tea. I know sometimes vege food has a tendency to taste a bit bland, but the food at Corner Tree doesn't lack in flavor and taste, even for this meat-lover.
google avatar

Myta S.

Yelp
In a pinch, this is where I would go for a healing vegan meal. The problem is that it does burn a hole in the wallet (compared to other vegan restaurants within the area). Definitely get the dumplings. It goes great with most of their dishes. And the red rice is cooked so well. I guess the money is worth for the food and ambiance, especially if you're just chilling after work or waiting for the traffic to subside.
google avatar

Sheila D.

Yelp
One of the better restaurants of this category in Makati! A nice and cozy small place and friendly staff. Been there twice, and each time I've ordered the walnut tofu burger with sweet potato fries and the second time I visited I wanted to try the vegan chili, both dishes are excellent. Tried the dessert of course, the raw apple pie and the carrot cake, love, love, love!! My only issue with the food, is the serving size. The walnut tofu burger is a very small portion and teeny tiny tomato on top... So, my next visit, I ordered a second dish which was the chili to fill me up. Would be nice if they made bigger portions for the price. Still a great place, really enjoyed the food.

Yelp
Head to the Corner Tree Café for a sense of secludedness and sanctuary amidst the busy Jupiter st. The restaurant is low-key and meek, yet elegant. It doesn't particularly call for anyone's attention, but once you've discovered it and dined in it, it's likely to enchant you. It uses classic furniture laid out comfortably in its intimate space. The location of the place itself feels wedged into a hollow in the middle of the street as it hides beneath the shade of a large tree. The food is a mix of vegetarian, vegan and/or gluten free, and proves that intercontinental comfort food doesn't always need to be heavy, sinfu, and most especially unhealthy to be delicious.
