Renee was so knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. She truly enjoys her job and has a passion and respect for wine. The wine she helped me select was exactly what I was looking for. Thank you for the personalized service. New customer for the long term!

Google
This is 400 sqft boutique of wine selections all are labeled with descriptions or the owners will do their expertised Q&A to assure the your personal pairing exceeds your expectation. This was right on for the social medium bodied and red fruit evening social sip needed.

I was so glad to see Corner Wine still here after I had been away for 10 years. This place got me to appreciate wine when I never would have on my own. The owner seems to really know his wine. If you're new to wine, you can tell him what you want to have it with or what flavors you like and he can make solid recommendations. And if you know your wine, he can get you what you want faster, no doubt. And the variety is really impressive for small corner store.

Google
Renee was wonderful- so helpful, no pressure, happy to answer questions and educate. Helped us pick out a bottle of wine for a friend and she loved it.

Google
Had a great experience! The owner helped us pick a bottle that would go well with our dinner and had a chilled one ready to go. Definitely will be back :)

Charming shop! Natural wines, good selection

Google
The owners are so knowledgeable and always help me find the best wine. My favorite wines are all ones Matt has introduced me to! Great place!

Google
Great wine at bargain prices. I love all the staff here. Funny, polite, and genuinely helpful. If only more wine shops like this were found in Lexington so one didn’t have to drive across town.

Yelp
Have never been so impressed with a small and locally owned store! The employees are so helpful, truly know their product, and represent everything you would want in a local business. Ask for Renee or Matt, they are the absolute best. Will shop here going forward and everyone should give it a try as well.

Yelp
Cute little gem with plenty of wine for an evening in or weekend party. Great selection, good prices & excellent service.

Yelp
Incredibly affordable and unique wines with a staff that can give you a great recommendation. For such a small shop it has great selection. If you don't know a lot about wine, or do and want to try something new, this is a great spot thanks to the expert knowledge. If they don't know an answer to a question they'll pull out a book to double check, doesn't get better than that.

Yelp
Locally owned and operated. Located beside Louie's Wine Dive in the heart of Chevy Chase, this place is an absolute delight. Wines of every variety and every price point with great quality. You can go in and get a couple of quality bottles without breaking the bank all the while the owner will enlighten you on his favs that he has in stock.

Yelp
It's a shame we're limited to 5 stars, because I'd give them more if I could. Excellent selection and the service level is incredible. Renee assisted me and could not have been more helpful and gracious. Wow...this place is amazing!

Yelp
A small, but amazing wine shop. The owner's, whose name I can't remember, is absolutely amazing. He has been there every time I've gone in, and he has personally tasted every wine in the store. Great selection, great staff, great prices, and most importantly...great wines! This is my go to wine shop in Lexington. It doesn't hurt that it's in walking distance from my house.

Yelp
I can't believe I never thought to review this place. Corner Wine is AWESOME. I buy all my wine here - even if I am already at Trader Joe's or Total Wine. It is worth making a special trip here, especially if you live in the neighborhood. They may not have the biggest selection, but you really don't need to choose from 8,000 bottles. They carry a great, curated selection and are always happy to make a recommendation. Best of all, their prices can't be beat - everything in here is priced less than what it would be elsewhere. In fact, I believe that everything they sell is around $20 and under with many great options around $10. That makes it super easy to try something new and it is a great place to stock up on party wine and reasonably priced bubbly. You can also score a great bottle (think Duckhorn) for a steal. Go check them out!

Yelp
This place is lexington's best kept secret. Gary and Allie make the most of their tiny shop, keeping only the best wines/quality "bang for the buck" wines. They are always ready with recommendations, food pairings, etc. I have never come away from here disappointed with any purchase. To add the icing on the cake, I think $20 is the most expensive bottle I have seen in here, with the average price hovering around $12. This is the only place I will buy wine anymore, love it!

Yelp
A wonderfully curated selection of wines at great prices. Such a small space can't afford to keep a lot of crap wine around displacing those that are worth drinking. Very knowledgable proprietor whose recommendations have been very good. A personal level of service that you just don't get at the big box stores.Do yourself a favor and save your time and money and swing by Corner Wine.

Yelp
My favorite locally owned place to grab a fun bottle of wine in lexington! The staff here is always honest and accessible, as are prices. Yes, it is a physically small space, but it is packed to the brim with a great selection of bottles rarely found at larger franchise stores. Winos like myself will also appreciate that less attention is spent on decor and display and instead more given to the Accurate and interesting staff-written descriptions that accompany the wines.

Yelp
I like smaller wine shops where informed owners taste and know the wines they sell. Owners who are personable and will talk to you. I probably shouldn't mention them here, but this is the reason I like Wine+Market in Lexington and Capital Cellars in Frankfort. Last week, I discovered Corner Wine in Lexington. On my first visit, we discussed the wines I like and Gary, the proprietor, recommended a nice Zinfandel: Haraszthy Old Vine Zinfandel, Lodi, CA. This wine not only suited me, but was very nicely priced. This shop is friendly and unpretentious. Don't be afraid to strike up a conversation with Gary; if you're not sure what you want, he won't steer you wrong. Oh, and there is a rack of wines in an alcove to the right as you enter the door.

Yelp
In a fit of nostalgia for Lexington, I decided to do a throwback review from when we lived there before Anchorage. There haven't been new reviews for a while. Since I don't live around there anymore, I don't know if it's still open. I sure hope so! Corner wine opened up several months before we ventured in (in a rush to grab a wine for a friend's party). I had stayed away because I thought small wine store = large wine prices. When I learned Gary specialized in very good ten dollar bottles, I was filled at once with joy and regret (for having waited so long). This became our almost exclusive wine shop. I'm so pleased to see so many positive reviews of this place! They are all correct. Gary is awesome, one of the most amusing, helpful, and well-informed wine sellers I've ever had the pleasure to meet. Tell him what you're into--dry? fruity? whites?--and he'll help you find new varietals to try or good classics to return to. As I'm very wine-curious, I enjoy being turned on to new stuff. I had my first Albarino, Grenache, and Vigonier here. He helped me become the wine-crazed person I am today. I appreciated that he always had a few chilled bottles on hand (especially when my tastes began to open to sparkling wines)--again, great for a last-minute party pickup. He even offers some other alcohol choices, including the absolutely necessary bourbon options. Thanks for being great, Gary, and I hope the business is still going strong.

Yelp
Corner Wine is what I wish every specialty food or drink store would be like. Completely unpretentious, reasonably priced, and with an owner that is ready to make knowledgeable recommendations based on the occasion or meal you're picking out a wine for. The focus is completely on the wine (as opposed to making a profit or slick branding), and educating customers on the product so that they will make the best choice and keep coming back. My boyfriend and I have so many great memories that are accompanied by a wine that we bought (always for less than $10) from Corner Wine for a meal or a picnic or a simple evening snack. Highly recommend. Definitely go here before anywhere else, and most especially before heading over to Liquor Barn Express.

Yelp
A hidden gem! Very good selection, good prices, and the owner seems to be quite the character.(in a good way) Prices seem to be comparable to big-box stores. I will be back.

Yelp
This is THE place in Lexington to buy wine. They are nice and knowledgeable. And they have GREAT wines for under $20 each. Get in here!

Yelp
Gary is the best human ever. Hannah is always super helpful. There isn't a reason to buy wine anywhere else in Lexington.

Yelp
Love budget friendly worldly wines and thoughtful recommendations? This is for you! Small wine store with a VERY HELPFUL (and humorous) owner (Gary), and a limited but diverse selection of wine. We love our Chicago wine stores, but when visiting Lexington, we won't miss a chance to pick up a few great bottles. Cheers to Corner Wine.... where they "perform $10 miracles every day"

Yelp
I live in San Francisco, travel a lot, and visit Lexington regularly because I have family here, and just have to say that you all have a GEM in Corner Wine on Euclid at High. Excellent selection, fantastic prices, and a generous, down-to-earth owner, and I say this having set foot in wine shops throughout the US and Europe. And while I love beer and bourbon as much as any Kentuckian, Corner Wine has unpretentiously expanded my taste for wine--and it's always a highlight of my visit to your city. You all are blessed to have it!

Carol S.

Yelp
By far the best place to purchase wine in Lexington. Gary knows his wine and has never missed on a recommendation for a wine to go with a meal or to give as a gift. Many of the wines in the store are unique and hard to find elsewhere. Gary's prices are the same or less than larger stores so don't think that you can't get a fair price at a small, locally owned business. Perhaps my favorite thing about the store is how the wines are displayed in boxes with hand-written descriptions on cardboard signs. He even tells you which wines are customer favorites. If you like whites try the Evolution white blend. If you like reds, Steelhead or The Path Pinot Noir are my recommendations.

Yelp
Everytime I come to Lexington from Memphis I make a stop to pick up some wine. Gary (the owner) is friendly, makes suggestions based off your likes and dislikes. Prices are great and selection never disappoints.

Yelp
My wife and I own Wine+Market and Enoteca across downtown from Gary and Corner Wine. Corner Wine is undeniably a competitor to Wine+Market, but Gary is such a credit to the wine culture and landscape of Lexington that we encourage our own customers to patronize Corner Wine too. If we ever had time to leave Jefferson St. we'd be in Corner Wine more often- keep on keepin on Gary!

Yelp
Great little wine shop and very cheap. Every thing in the store is under $20 dollars most under $15 or $10. The owner is very nice and helpful, this is a great place to go a learn a little about wine and find some good wine cheap.

Yelp
Excellent small wine shop with reasonably-priced bottles. The owner knows his inventory and makes really good recommendations to pair with food. I don't need super-expensive wine, so $8 to $15 is the right price range for me & lets me take home a very good wine for dinner.

Yelp
The reason I love this diminutive wine shop in Chevy Chase: a diverse and thoughtful selection of wines, nearly all (way) under fifteen bucks!

James H.

Yelp
I use to go there all the time. But I noticed in the past few months the selection not being what it was and the prices going way up. And the last few times I was there the older gentleman was extremely rude and very dismissive. I'm going to think twice before going there again.

Yelp
Corner Wine is the best place to shop for wine in Lexington, I don't buy from anyone else. Every bottle is thoughtfully selected and I've never bought anything I didn't like. The owner is incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. Coming from D.C., it was a shock to have someone willing to help without a bit of arrogance. Prices are very fair and the selection is excellent. I highly recommend this shop, you don't want to miss out!

K R.

Yelp
This wine shop is small but has a wonderful selection. Staff is very knowledgable and prices are hard to beat.

Yelp
Small town shop feel, privately owned, historical building converted--this place is incredible. Gary knows his stuff, and he has hand written descriptive signs for every wine in the shop. That's right, he personally describes *every* bottle, and often suggests food pairings with the bottles as well. All the bottles are the right price, most for about $10-15. Wouldn't go anywhere else. Thanks Gary!

Yelp
I absolutely LOVE this wine shop. The owner is super friendly and helpful, and truly appears to know what he is talking about. He is never trying to "sell" me anything. He always asks what I am looking for and points me in the right direction. 90% of the time I have loved his suggestions. The wine is good and affordable. My personal favorite is the Pinot Grigio with the twig on it:))

Meredith L.

Yelp
Hands down, the best place to find wine. Gary is so knowledgeable and will help you with wine pairings... or just help you pick out a great bottle to enjoy on its own. Most bottles are under $20 and truly are fantastic. Don't go to the big box stores... go see Gary. You won't be disappointed.

Yelp
My girlfriend and I discovered this place just walking around during the Chevy Chase annual block party. What a great surprise! The owner was super friendly and the selection was impressive (and affordable). He greeted us warmly, talked to us like regular folks rather than being a wine snob, and gave us a very thoughtful little sample that proved he was listening to us and understood what we were looking for. We'll definitely go here from now on instead of the impersonal (and slightly trashy) Liquor Barn. We'll be treated like human beings, learn lots from a knowledgeable person, AND save money! Support this place. They deserve it!

adam C.

Yelp
I don't know a ton about wine, but this place is very charming, and very small. Definitely a better option than the liquor barn across the street.

R C.

Yelp
Unbeatable store. Gary has a wide selection of high value, low cost wines from around the world. He will help you plan any size event or occasion and teach you a lot about wines in the process. I failed to discover him until a couple of years ago and will shop nowhere else unless travelling.
