Went there yesterday for breakfast and really sorry I did. Seems like anything you order comes with an unsolicited side of attitude.
First thing we were told was that it would take at least 1/2 hour to receive our order in a way that we should have felt privileged for the wait.
You must be willing to order your meal in a way they want to serve it to you not the way you want to eat it. I wanted eggs over easy and was told i could only get them over medium or scrambled. C'mon! How hard is it to fry eggs over easy? I ended up ordering something else that was a textbook definition of mediocre.
You have to pay up front before you get your food, and they force you to tip for service you haven't yet received, which explains a lot about the reason my experience was so bad.
I considered ordering the corned beef hash, except I couldn't get it with a poached egg on top, which is standard for corned beef hash.
My daughter got it, and gave me a bite. While it was good, it was nothing that would make gourmet food publications. However, it was good enough to raise my rating from one star to two.
She also ordered a cappuccino, which they had to remake for her because they screwed it up.
The place doesn't believe in heat, either. Could almost see my breath it was so cold.
When our order didn't come out as expected, and I said something about it, I got no answer. After waiting for a response and getting none, i had to go to the front, ask again, and was reprimanded for daring to question it, with righteous indignation from the server i might add (which was par for the course at this point).
The place is so bad, it is almost comical.
The only reason i can imagine this place will stay in business is that there are so few choices of places to eat breakfast in town...this might be the only one. We didn't see any others.
I suggest just eating food from the gas station. The food will be comparable, you'll get it quickly, and you won't have to tolerate a snotty server.
I'll never NEVER go twice and suggest you not going even once.
