Cornhill Castle Hotel

Great venue for a wedding. We didn't stop over, so cannot comment on accommodation. All the staff we met made us feel so welcome. We had a lovely time here. I recommend a visit if you're in the area.

I recently booked here for my wedding and it was beautiful I had the best time. The bar staff were lovely and a lot of my guests mentioned Josh and Arran being extra helpful. I highly recommend, and I’ll be back for my next wedding!

Wow just wow.. we arrived on the Monday before our daughters wedding 35 min drive from Livingston & stayed in the Clyde Lodge breathtaking views from lodge & hot tub & plenty of room inside yeah I get that the bed doesn’t have much room at sides but we only stayed in for 1 night so was perfect for our requirements. From an 8am start on the Tuesday for the wedding day the staff at the hotel couldn’t be any more informative Karen & Adam kept us up to speed with what was happening throughout the morning. The ceremony & dinner to the night time & morning breakfast when we all sat as a family was truly exceptional & can’t thank the staff enough at Cornhill for the smooth running of a unforgettable day, Karen, Adam, Ashleigh, Nathan & front of house staff (sorry if I have forgotten anyone) should be proud of the service you provide at Cornhill & would highly recommend Cornhill to anyone looking to book this venue 5 stars 🌟 all round 👌🏻💒👰🫶

Lovely venue for the wedding we attended. Stayed in one of the lodges (Clyde) which was a cute and quirky accommodation only 1 minute walk from the castle. Fab private hot tub, with uninterrupted views across the nearby river valley and fields. Meal and breakfast were tasty and service cant be faulted.

A beautiful hotel. We were there for a wedding and our room was lovely. For £200 a night o would have expected a few little additions. We didn’t have any shampoo or conditioner in the shower room and even though it was beautiful it didn’t have any luxury extras like robes or coffee machines.

Just back from our elder daughter’s wedding at Cornhill.it was a wonderful occasion and the staff had much to do with making it so good. We had visited on several occasions to test out the place and always had nice meals but it’s different when you are catering for 100 .To our delight Cornhill managed to,for instance a delicious juicy piece of beef at the wedding dinner but all the food we had was delicious and they catered for vegetarians without problem|However I leave to the end the core strength .There has to be a strong staff culture which is devoted to customer care because every member of staff we had dealings with - and there were a lot- was friendly efficient and interested in helping .Lovely people - they treated my daughter’s wedding as a unique and special event which it obviously was to her .Cornhill does weddings several times a week but the only evidence of that was the efficiency of their operation ,no sign of weariness or ‘just another wedding’ .Cannot speak highly enough of Cornhill if you are planning a wedding go there!

Visited the hotel for a wedding and to say it's an incredible venue, is an understatement! The service from the staff was first class right throughout, everyone was helpful and welcoming. The meal was stunning, possibly the best meal I've had a wedding. I wished we had stayed over and enjoyed the rest of the hotel.

Excellent venue for the wedding - staff were very helpful and overall the venue could not have been better. ||Food in the restaurant (night before wedding ) was as also very good as was the breakfast the morning after. ||The only downside was the lodge we stayed in (as all the hotel rooms were booked). The lodge is nice enough but we did have a couple of issues : ||1. Bed / bedroom is simply too small for a double bed. Very difficult to get in and out of the bed - very little room around it and you have to launch onto bed and then crawl or shuffle up (and down). This may be ok for young and fully able bodied but anyone over a certain age or with any accessibility issues, it really is a major problem. ||2. Shower - likewise this must be the smallest shower cubicle I have ever had the misfortune to use (and that includes several small enclosures on cruise ships). Actual shower was ok - just could hardly move. ||Save for the above 2 issues (which unfortunately are pretty important ) the lodge was ok. I just think that when they were built, they should have been a touch larger - so enabling a slightly larger bedroom and sufficient space in the bathroom to accommodate a slightly larger shower space. ||Also very impressed that the cleaning staff located an item which I had left in the bathroom when we checked out and delivered this to reception. Having departed, I was contacted by the receptionist and so able to return to the hotel and collect my lost property.|Am very grateful that they took the time to do this. ||Overall a good stay - and would return again provided I could get a room in the main hotel.
