Cornhill Castle Hotel

I booked a lodge for my husbands birthday and I am so pleased we did. The lodge was just beautiful, it was small but I expected that based on the pictures. It was warm and very comfortable with a good sized living area and bathroom, yes the bedroom was small but it made it cosy. The bed was very comfy and is classed as a zip link bed. |We used the hot tub and enjoyed the beautiful views. |The bar is decorated nicely and the open fire was very welcome. The only issue was the wedding guests holding the door open for no reason and letting the heat out and the noise in (not the fault of the hotel). It was nice to see that the hotel bar was reserved for the restaurant and hotel guests and the wedding guests directed to the bar in the other area.|Staff were very nice and attentive. |My only issue was that the music from the wedding was so loud you could hear it from the lodge and it slightly spoilt the quiet/relaxing atmosphere of the lodge surroundings especially as lodge guests were asked to be out of their hot tub by 10pm for noise levels. |The breakfast hamper was a lovely touch and allowed us to enjoy a continental breakfast at our leisure. The roll and croissant were warm and fresh. |We can't wait to book again for a romantic treat.

Drove to Cornhill Castle from East Kilbride for dinner purely to try somewhere new and different. Incredible venue in lovely well kept grounds with great views. The food was faultless! Don't think I've ever had vegetables with so much flavour in them. My wife had the Steak Pie which was the most stunning looking Steak Pie ever however, the taste was even better! I had the Chicken dish and every part of that meal was unbelievable. Will be booking again very soon and may even stay over. I'd imagine the rooms are very nice.

Nestled away in the countryside of South Lanarkshire, this hotel is a GEM 💎 beautiful meal with stunning dining facilities. The service was top notch and everyone was so friendly and helpful. The rooms are gorgeous, especially the honeymoon suite. One of the best I've seen. It was over 3 floors!!! A special mention to manager Shannon, who we felt got everything bang on and made it a visit to remember. We will be back!!!

Stayed for two nights. Beautiful hotel, staff so pleasant and helpful. Food was excellent. Grounds are lovely. I really don’t have a complaint. Well done to all the team.

What an amazing place! The rooms are fabulous, the food delicious, but what really sets it apart is the staff. Everyone you meet has a smile and a desire to assist in whatever way - such a refreshing change. Thank you - and whatever you are doing to find and keep such lovely staff, please keep doing it!

We attended a wedding here on a Tuesday! Could not get access to the room before the ceremony which started at 1pm, so we travelled dressed. Staff were ok, could do with more experience! The bar was so so, had issues with fresh lime...really 4 star! The room once we got access was ok, we stayed in the Inverary room, nicely laid out. The meal was ok, starter could have been warmer, main could have been warmer, dessert ok...really 4 star! The buffet at night was a disaster...forgot to put the rolls out and the cutlery until asked...really 4 star! Breakfast was a bit hit and miss...had to ask for toast and separate teapot as the main pots were stinking of coffee...really 4 star!

Spent 2 nights in Spey Lodge with Hot tub. Wonderful experience. So relaxing with lovely views over farmland and River Clyde to Tinto Hill. Lodge furnished and equiped to high standard. Super fluffy towels. Excellent Continental breakfast hamper delivered each morning. We ate in the Restuarant each night and the food and service was outstanding. All Staff were super helpful and friendly. Special thanks to Emily who looked after us so well. We will definitely return soon.

I haven't stayed overnight in the castle so can't review the rooms . I was at the wedding reception in the castle so I saw only common areas of it and I have to say it is absolutely beautiful. The design , decorations and feels so cosy everywhere I walked into. I hope I will stay in the future.
