Corona Del Mar Hotel

I was spending a few days on San Pedro and just needed a room for 1 night. Most places require a minimum of 3. I stayed in one of the apartments just around the restaurant. It was clean, the staff was very helpful and friendly, and the quesadillas are pretty darn good! A special shout-out to Janine who made it all happen; she's the best! Highly recommend staying there.

We booked a weeks stay in April, we were very pleased with the hotel, the rooms are spacious enough and very clean, they even have hangers in the closet, not every hotel does that. The bed was comfortable, we didn't use the microwave but the fridge worked great. The staff works hard to maintain the grounds. The front desk workers, Steven and Ada are really great people, always greeting us with a smile and helpful in every way possible, the Manager Jeanne was quick to handle a small problem we had. The main town is walkable but having a golf cart made it easy to get around.

A bit dated and could use a refresh here and there, but then again that's why we went here, everything was clean, the service was out of this world, the bar food is above average, the bar staff is amazing, the pool was very nice, the chicken drop was fun, having a dive shop near by was cool, they really go above and beyond to provide a great experience, definitely recommend for a down to earth fur experience.

We had a lovely stay and would definitely return. Our clean, comfortable room had a balcony facing the sea and we loved having morning coffee while watching the sunrise and listening to birdsong and the sound of the wind in the palms. The coffee maker, mini frig, wifi and AC all worked well. The pool and grounds were well maintained and everyone was very kind and helpful. We’d particularly like to thank Ms. Ada at the front desk for her recommendations and all the questions she patiently answered! It is true that as with most places in the region there were occasional plumbing issues, but they were always quickly resolved. A heads up to first-time visitors who might not be aware that although staff keep the waterfront clean, this is not really an island for easy swimming from the shore, particularly during sargassum season. Also, there is a lively, bar scene one night of the week when they host a popular live-chicken bingo game, but it doesn’t go late and we didn’t have trouble with the noise.

Stayed in the one bedroom apartment (room 102). Comfortable bed, full kitchen, spacious bedroom and sitting area.||The staff are very accommodating, attentive and quick response to any requests. 10 out of 10 service. They coordinated golf cart delivery, taxi service, shopping recommendations, etc.||Accommodations very nice, quiet, and comfortable. Don't let the star rating deter you from this hotel. Golf cart parking onsite and restaurants/grocery stores with a very short walk if a golf cart is not available.

The staff was excellent. The rooms pretty good except for lack of hot water. The location is very good. Nice beachfront to walk down. The restaurant behind was okay but the massage ladies were spectacular. Such a wonderful experience.

Overall, the hotel is fine. The location is ideal as it is a quick 5-minute walk from the water taxi port and a 15-minute walk from the airport. And the hotel has a dock for your dive or tour boat to pick you up at. The staff were friendly and courteous (though not very helpful in helping us schedule activities, as they never got back to us about our inquiries). The room was spacious (though the bathroom a bit small) and the bed was comfy enough where it didn’t give us any aches or pains in the morning. Other pluses include the amenities they had for guests. For example, they have filtered water in the lobby (although the lobby closes from 10pm to 6am), offer free beach towels, and have umbrellas for you to borrow in the event of a sudden tropical shower. And now for the minuses. The restaurant Lost Gringos Bar & Grill is located right in the center of the hotel. They don’t accept credit cards and gratuity is automatically included in every order…even take out. Also, because of where the restaurant is located, sound from the bar travels to the rooms very easily, and there is loud music and noise everyday until midnight! So, if you are into partying late and you are a night owl, then this hotel is for you! If you need to be in bed before midnight and/or are sensitive to noise…maybe find a quieter accommodation.
