Coronation Lodge

Superb location just at the fringe of the town centre, we just walked every day to the town for shopping and food and activities. Rooms are very clean, it's to have been renovated. There's laundry facilities in the basement carpark. Fridge and air conditioning available in the room. And when the weather is great you can sit in the room balcony and enjoy the sun and the breeze. The Chinese staff were all very welcoming and helpful, we would return to stay for sure!

“Avoid the beds are terrible” This hotel has an excellent location, clean, warm and friendly staff. The beds however are old and should all be replaced. After 2 nights my back was destroyed. On the 2nd night I tried to use a pillow under my hips but didnt help. People need to stop giving hotels 5 stars when the bed the most important component of a hotel is sub par. I stress again avoid if you want a good bed to sleep in. No support you sink into the middle of the mattress which means it is not fit fot purpose.

Stayed for over a week in the one bedroom apartment and didn't want to leave. It has everything you need for a great long vacation in Queenstown. The location is great and you can walk to about everything. It also has a washer and dryer that comes with free soap. The only downside is parking, it's a little tight. Plus they only have a handful of parking spots and after those are filled you have to park on the street. The service was also really good and she was always helpful in all that we needed be it towels or more laundry detergent. Would definitely recommend!

Stayed here in April 2025 with a friend - both in our mid 30's. Stayed in a room with one queen and one twin bed. This hotel was wonderful! Clean rooms. Comfy beds. Good shower pressure. Friendly staff. Hotel was basically across the street and down a little walk way to the main town (maybe 2-3 min walk), so it was a perfect location. The view from the balcony was beautiful as well - mountains, gondola. Coffee/tea in the room with a kettle. Fridge. Blow dryer.

BEST value for money! So impressed with this lodge! The level of cleanliness is incredible, I stay in plenty of hotels/motels/resorts and this is by far the best. The location is right in the city centre walking distance to the lake for that evening stroll to dinner or breakfast. Across the road from the Queenstown gardens which is lovely in the mornings. The staff were very warm and welcoming upon check in and whenever we passed them coming in to the main reception area. It’s not outdated and run down like most accom in Queenstown. Easy to get a uber outside and uber eats dropped off. I’m also a league fan so the fact that they had sky sport was one of my highlights so I wouldn’t miss the games over the weekend. Overall such a great place to stay and will definitely be booking this place again next time we’re back in Queenstown

This is a very basic hotel with few amenities but it met our needs nicely. We had a large room with a very comfortable bed. The bathroom was basic. Both the room and the bathroom were very clean. There are no common areas but there is a coin operated washer and dryer that came in handy. The location was excellent. Overall it was good value.

My husband and I stayed in room 6, a nicely appointed large room with a king and twin bed, large bathroom with accessible walk in shower, and a mini fridge and tea/coffee making amenities. The room had a lovely view of the Skyline Gondola and was two steps away from the center of town - so convenient. There was free covered parking for our car. Staff was very friendly. We stayed three nights and had a delightful time. It was winter and the room was cozy. Highly recommend if you're looking for a clean, no-fuss, comfy stay in a great location.
