11 Best Hotels in Seville

"Set in what was once a busy trading neighborhood, this welcoming 16-room boutique is divided across buildings on either side of the narrow street with which it shares its name. Two of the rooms have private pool terraces for a glass of wine while taking a dip. Bars and cafes are found on the nearby Plaza de Alfalfa, and popping into the Casa Pilatos and the Iglesia del Salvador is a must. The olive oil served at breakfast is produced on the grounds of Corral del Rey’s sister property, Hacienda de San Rafael, a countryside ranch with six acres of gardens, about 45 minutes drive from Seville—a dreamy rural escape to disconnect after a few days in the city. Address: C. Corral del Rey, 12, Casco Antiguo, 41004 Sevilla, Spain" - Agnish Ray

A Design Lover’s Guide to Seville | Vogue

"Tucked away in the old quarter of Barrio Alfalfa, Corral del Rey has been restored into a tranquil 17-room retreat with Roman marble columns, tarifa stone floors, and original carved detailing mixed with contemporary art and a whimsical, laid-back English sensibility." - Monica Mendal

Corral del Rey

"The stylish Corral del Rey proves that small is beautiful, with its six rooms in a seventeenth-century house just a five-minute walk from the Giralda. Though beautifully designed and decorated, the rooms here are snug—in fact, the standard double, delightful for a single traveler, would be tight quarters for two. However, the hotel makes up for its diminutive floor space in a variety of ways—all rooms are well equipped, and there’s a roof garden with a hot tub plunge pool and sun loungers. Spanish interior designer Kuky Mora-Figueroa has created rooms with almond-colored walls, bleached-oak floors, battleship-gray window shutters, and beds covered with quilted white cotton coverlets. Best of all, the smiling young staff here take their hospitality personally, and are quick on the draw with restaurant recommendations and sightseeing tips."

Hotel Corral del Rey is truly something special. It was our first time in Seville, and initially we had a bit of trouble finding the hotel, but Rose came to our rescue as she heard our suitcases clacking up and down the street a few times and came out to show us our way in. This hotel is boutique in the very best sense — absolutely gorgeous inside and outside, with the most caring, friendly, personable and attentive staff. Our room was clean, well-air conditioned, spacious, and stunning, we never wanted to leave. We especially loved the lofty wood beamed ceilings, and ornate wood mirror above our bed. There were many goodies including fresh flowers waiting for us when we first arrived, and the olive oil-infused toiletries were delightful, and far more effective than the run-of-the-mill hotel shampoo and conditioner you typically get. They have a delicious breakfast spread daily (you must try the croissants), and we were able to get anything and everything we needed to make ourselves feel at home, from ice to an iron and ironing board. The location is unparalleled. More private than other hotels around, but walking distance to everything you could want to see and experience during your time in Seville. Patricia took the time to highlight key spots on a map for us which was super helpful. They even packed us a ‘picnic’ for our early taxi ride to the airport which was very much appreciated. Thank you so much Rose and Patricia for your hospitality and making our time in Seville unforgettable.

We have just returned from a wonderful stay at The Corral Del Ray Hotel. We had a fantastic greeting for a late arrival. Our room (junior sweet) was spacious, spotless and was decorated with calming colours and had some lovely artefacts. Breakfast was beautifully done and quickly served. All the staff (in particular Patricia) were extremely helpful and pleasant. Small touches and attention to detail were really well thought out. I can’t fault the hotel and its location was perfect. Thoroughly recommend it.

We stayed at the Corral del Rey for 3 nights in May - and what a wonderful stay it was. The hotel is beautiful - a kind restoration of a grand building, well decorated and clean throughout. The communal areas of the courtyard, dining space and terrace are very welcoming, offering a cool, airy reprieve from the hot Seville sun.|The room itself was lovely, again cool and relaxing, with all the amenities you would expect from a hotel of this quality. The bed & furnishings are comfortable & sumptuous - just what you need to relax into after a day of sightseeing.|The staff couldn’t have been more helpful - they gave us excellent recommendations on restaurants in the local area, helped us orientate ourselves around the city, as well as accommodating our requests to leave luggage at the hotel after checking out. They were kind, polite and discreet - with exceptional English! |Corral del Rey was the perfect base to explore the joys of Seville - we would recommend it to anyone visiting this gorgeous city.

Hotel Corral del Rey is the epitome of the ‘boutique hotel’ experience. My wife & I stayed at the spectacular penthouse room (with our two Boston Terriers, yes it is PET FRIENDLY 😍) to celebrate our anniversary and it was fantastic. We never saw other guests and had a code to enter the building whenever we left. Meanwhile, the very friendly staff was just a call away if we needed anything. |Also, the breakfast may be the best I’ve had at any hotel. 5/5 star experience.

This hotel really is an oasis from the crowds and heat in Seville. Great welcome, really friendly and helpful team. The location is walkable to everywhere we wanted to go but not too close to make it busy. The room was lovely and the breakfast fantastic. The best hotel we stayed in Spain (and there were a few).

We loved the hotel. It is very quant and the perfect location for walking through the city. The staff was very accommodating and the breakfasts were delicious. We would highly recommend staying here! It is located on a tiny street and cars can’t travel there so ot is very quiet. They have a wonderful common room where you can relax and have a drink while you unwind.

We spent 4 nights in this hotel and we have had the opportunity to appreciate the kindness and professionalism of its personnel. Very well located in 15/20 minutes you can reach all the major attractiveness of the city, the hotel it's really very "cosy", excellent breakfast. Strongly suggested.

Yelp
A fantastic hotel in the old town section if Seville. The rooms, the service, the breakfast all impeccable down to the last detail. Exceptional service and professional staff!

Yelp
Although this is a beautiful hotel architecturally, it is not a good choice based on its lack of hospitality, conviviality and service. With so many other options available the experienced traveler should beware (Check out instead Sagardi located in the same neighborhood, for its delicious restaurant, professional and gracious staff and personal service). First of all, although billed as a hotel and restaurant, THERE IS NO MEAL SERVICE AFTER BREAKFAST NOR ROOM SERVICE BESIDES COLD SNACKS (cheese and ham.) In addition, THERE IS NO STAFF ON THE SITE FROM MIDNIGHT UNTIL THE NEXT MORNING. The hotel seems to be staffed out of a local modeling agency and although sweet, the girls are hopelessly ineffective and inexperienced in the hospitality business. THERE IS NO CONCIERGE and the staff made rookie mistakes, one after another, that cost me time and money to the point where I made my own bookings. The services offered by the hotel are OUTRAGEOUSLY overpriced as I discovered when booking my own tours independently. The mark up by the hotel is more than DOUBLE. Book all tours on your own. Finally, one morning,we were woken up by loud construction noise and shouting at 7:00 am, I demanded to meet the owner after I was informed by the staff that "they were terribly sorry but the hotel needed to complete work on the hotel and were under a deadline." Clearly this was an unacceptable response. It is not my problem that they are opening a new wing. Having traveled all over the world, I have never come across a fine hotel that would handle a situation in this unprofessional manner. The owner, an extremely unpleasant man who seems to come more from a finance background than a hospitality one, after trying to duck me, finally admitted that this was indeed unacceptable and offered "to take care of that night", which was part of a bill for over 3K. However, upon check out, he had only deducted half of that evening and was nowhere to be found to discuss. His staff had no authority. Therefore, I paid my bill and tipped all the models generously. Imagine my surprise to discover that the hotel had charged my credit card for my friend's cancelled booking AFTER I HAD SPEND AN ENTIRE WEEK IN THE HOTEL IN A PENTHOUSE ROOM and without any discussion or presentation of that bill. In fact, I had asked for my bill at the end and even inquired if my friend had paid his cancellation fee and was assured by the staff that the bill they presented me would constitute payment in full. Now, although I have offered to provide my friend's credit card number so that he can pay for his bill, I find myself in a confusing and time consuming game of "he said she said" with the hotel owner over an additional PENALTY night that they want to impose. He is insisting on the application of arcane and indecipherable rules that he apparently has in his contract, none of which were ever mentioned to me during my week long stay, and none of which I agreed to. In addition and most disturbingly, the owner has made personal and invasive comments in writing to me concerning my stay and my relationship to other members of our traveling party. The photos may look gorgeous and the booking agent may seem wonderful. BUT BUYER BEWARE!!!!!

Yelp
This was our last stop in a 3 week trip throughout Spain. I must say I was disappointed in the amenities and service. We booked an apartment and it was in a run down area of the old town. Graffiti everywhere. Peeling paint. Ground level floor with bars on windows. I believe this is what they call Apartment No. 1... Avoid booking this unit. The woman that checked us in, Sole, was nice and helpful. She was by far the best as far as staff goes. We had to walk in the hot hot heat to the main hotel approx 10 minutes away and got lost. Once there we looked we asked to switch to rooms or something else. They said apt # 2 was available but the exact same. We opted to check it out anyways. This apartment was far superior in location and looks. It's right by the Palace and Cathedral. If your booking an apt ONLY book this one. Trust me. They called a taxi to love our stuff which we had to pay for. We enjoyed our trip... Again this location made the journey better. However when we called day 1 to tell then the AC in the masterbed room didn't work they said someone would be right over. Days passed we called several times. It was never fixed and it was hot and made sleeping uncomfortable and impossible. The mini fridge says it's stocked with basic amenities and drinks and foods. Just water and sprite... No essential food items and it wasn't restocked once during our stay. They pending we checked out we had asked the previous night to arrange for a van at 6am to take us to the airport. We had 4 people and tons of luggage so we wanted to arrange transfer in advance due to early morning departure. They confirmed but no one showed up in the morning. We called the reception and 24 hour number but no one picked up and we tried for over an hour. We finally had to walk to the main road a wats away to find 2 taxis to take us. We almost missed our flights. Overall experience was below average and rather annoying. Again Sole was nice and the location of Apr 2 was great. But that's about all the positives I can say about this place. Not a repeat. If your looking for High End try EME... We stumbled upon this place and almost switched hotels mid trip as we were so impressed with their hotel, restaurants and service. That's where we'll be staying the next time we return. This place wasn't worst the money.
