Lovely place with an interesting interior, slightly different from casual Spanish style. Food was amazing, very delicious, took 4 sharing plates for 3 people and got stuffed. The staff are very friendly and speak a bit of English. Overall great experience and will definitely stop next time we are passing by. Oh, and they welcome dogs outside and inside!

An absolute gem of a place! Beautiful setting (we pre-booked a table on the terrace) and lovely friendly, smiling and efficient staff. The food was fabulous, with finally balanced delicate flavours and a nice varied menu. Very reasonably priced. Highly recommended, don’t miss it

The chefs in our 5 star restaurant should really come here for cooking lessons! After poor food almost everywhere we went finally we found Corredera 55. Fabulous food at great prices and very friendly helpful staff. 10/10 - well done.

With beautiful food, super friendly staff and stunning views, this really is a "must visit"! The croquettes and the lemon cheesecake dessert are two of my many favourites on this varied menu. ❤️❤️❤️

I don't normally gush when writing reviews but this restaurant deserves high praise. Located in (old) Vejer, a small historic town situated in the mountains, where all the buildings are painted white which makes it stand out on the drive to Cádiz. It has a cluster of cute little lanes with independent shops, restaurants and apartments. Owned and managed by a lovely Scottish lady, who had enough of the cold and wet stuff and decided to start a new adventure in Spain and found this town - Corredera 55 sophisticated but casual, decor is simple but classy and the menu is varied and (all) very tempting for both meat-lover and veggies alike. There is also an outdoor terrace with seating for approx. 30. Hosting by the owner/manager is first class, waiting tables is an all male crew and in the kitchen, local ladies with the hands of angels delivering a simply scrumptious menu. If you visit Vejer, I would thoroughly recommend you have a meal here.

The food here is really good, we loved everything we ordered and it's cooked to a high standard. It is also very well priced. Lovely atmosphere and decoration. Recommended!

What a beautiful place with the most helpful and respectful staff, I had the pleasure to visit vejer with my family and we heard so much about 55 from our other friends and they couldn’t stop talking about the beautiful food and the flavours. We had the Cadiz mussels and rice, wish I could have had more it was that delicious…I can honestly say I will be back next year for more dishes off this beautiful menu…If you are ever in Vejer this place is a must

Amazing food, super attentive staff, lovely setting. Taking traditional dishes and giving them a super modern twist that works. Definitely recommend giving this place a go.

Yelp
Consider yourself truly fortunate indeed if you happen upon the quaint village of Vejer de la Frontera during the winter months, when it is not crowded with tour buses. Consider yourself even more so if you walk into this gem for a meal! My wife and I struggled over what was most memorable - the food? The decor? The service? The scenery? All were over-the-top, and despite all of the beautiful places we've seen on this trip, Corredera 55 stands out in my mind as "Most romantic restaurant." Check it out, and if you can be there when it's not crowded, you too will find bliss!

Yelp
We added Vejer de la Frontera as an afterthought to our 2018 journey and it became one of its highlights. This restaurant was one of the best parts. The decor reminded me of a Renoir painting, the food and drink were superb and the owner graciously came to our table for a personal welcome. The view over the valley is spectacular. Make this a must-visit if you come to Spain.

Yelp
12/10 wouldn't even recommend this place for dog food. We ate the squid, the burger and the empanada and the best thing we got was the 6€ water.

Yelp
Their pizza is truly an art. So delicious! Their eggplant appetizer was to die for. The wait staff was great and accommodating. Great place as a couple, with friends or as a family. If the drink menu and atmosphere were just a bit better I would give 5 stars.

Yelp
A REALLY BAD EXPERIENCE!!! They do not have the obligatory letter of allergens and the waiters do not know what they serve at the tables, they do not know the ingredients that carry the dishes of the menu. Yesterday we had to take my 6-year-old daughter to the health center with an ANAPHILACTIC SHOCK after eating a hamburger ... we had asked and insisted on the allergy of the girl before doing the command and yet they told us that the hamburger was not made with any egg. Despite having to run to the hospital emergency center to care for the girl, they continued to deny it and did not offer help at any time ... Someone from Health Department should go to inspect that place and ensure that the current legislation on allergens is met .

Yelp
Ok food. Good view of valley and windmills. Nice outside seating. Service decent. We liked other places in the town but we are from US so our taste may be different than natives.

Yelp
We both had the fish of the day and it was prepared wonderfully with mushrooms, onions, citrus, Rosemary, potatoes and tomatoes. Accompanied with sherry and a very pleasant Barbazul from Cadiz. Most pleasant atmosphere, nice spacing between tables, soothing music at a perfect level. Great service, attentive but unobtrusive. Excellent value for the money. Server spoke perfect English, Spanish, and Dutch.
